The configuration-dependent cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky approach has been employed to study the properties and band structures at high spin in the Z = N odd-odd nuclei 46V and 50Mn. The observed bands are explained and terminating states are confirmed by the calculations. The calculated and observed bands are in good agreement without normalization, especially for terminating states. Possible bands with rotation around the intermediate axis and the effect of γ-deformation on the total energy of several interesting configurations are discussed. The nuclear spectroscopic quadrupole moments for the πh9/25/2-, 1/2-[541] and the πh11/29/2-, 9/2-[514] isomeric states in 169Ta have been measured employing the time differential perturbed angular-distribution technique following the nuclear reaction 159Tb(16O, 6nγ)169Ta at beam energy 104 MeV. The ratio of the intrinsic quadrupole moments has been derived as 1.87(13) from the measured quadrupole precession frequencies of the corresponding states. The model-independent analysis of the equilibrium deformation indicates strong prolate- and oblate-driving nature of the 1/2-[541] and 9/2-[514] orbitals in 169,171Ta isotopes, respectively.  相似文献

Eight high-spin states in 36Ar below 10MeV excitation energy, among them a prospective J π = 8- state at 9408keV and the J? 8 levels of the recently discovered superdeformed rotational band, have been observed by n-γ coincidence measurements with the 33S(α, nγ) reaction at E α = 14.4 and 13.4MeV. High-spin assignments of, respectively, J π = 6+ and 5- were obtained for the E p = 1209 and 1462keV (E x = 9682 and 9927keV) resonances of the 35Cl (p,γ) reaction by a measurement of γ-ray angular distributions. The spectrum of the high-spin and of the E x? 7.4MeV levels is decomposed according to the underlying shell model configurations with n = 0, 1, 2, 4 particles excited from the N = 2 into the N = 3 major shell. The role of four-particle excitations, all connected with large prolate distortions, is elucidated for the entire A = 36-40 mass region. Received: 21 December 2001 / Accepted: 25 March 2002  相似文献

Excited states in 182Os were populated by the β+/EC decay of 182Ir following mass separation. Gamma-ray and conversion electron spectroscopy techniques were employed. Monopole (E0) contributions were determined in transitions populating the ground-state band. A systematic study of the low-spin structures in the Os isotopes is presented and a detailed analysis in the framework of a microscopic configuration mixing approach is performed.  相似文献

A quasiparticle-phonon coupling based on one quadrupole phonon is developed. The coupling is constructed by using a deformed average field of Nilsson, a monopole pairing interaction and a quadrupole-quadrupole force. Microscopic structure of the quadrupole phonon is given from the Tamm-Dancoff Approximation. The two effects of recoil and Coriolis forces are included with the assumption of a symmetric rotational motion. Since theoretical treatment is performed for an odd- A nuclei the configuration of intrinsic states should contain both one-quasiparticle and quasiparticle-phonon components. This method is applied to describe the level scheme of 133Nd for which an agreement with experimental data is obtained. The results are also found similar to previous calculations obtained by the Particle plus Triaxial Rotor Model. Received: 23 August 1999  相似文献

Deformed configuration mixing shell model based on Hartree-Fock states with extension to include isospin projection (DSMT) for two- and four-particle configurations (generated by particle-hole excitations) is applied to study the structure of the low-lying T = 0, 1 and 2 bands (or levels) in the even-even N = Z nuclei 52Fe and 72Kr. The pf-shell KB3 interaction for 52Fe and a modified Kuos interaction for 72Kr are employed in the calculations. In this first application of DSMT with four-particle T projection, low-spin (J 10) members of the T = 0, 1 and 2 bands in 52Fe are compared with experiment including the known E2 transition strengths. The agreement between DSMT and experiment is reasonably good. Similarly, the low-spin members of the observed (prolate) yrast band in 72Kr are also well described by DSMT.  相似文献

We have studied 12C in full kinematics via the 10B(3He,pααα) reaction at an energy of 2.45 MeV. In our data we have identified states in 12C from the ground state up to about 18 MeV, with spins ranging from 0 to 4. Due to the very good resolution, we are able to determine properties of these 12C resonances, such as their energy, width, and spin. In this contribution preliminary results from the ongoing analysis are presented. Main focus on the precise determination of the breakup spectra for all resonances.  相似文献

The structure of 17C has been investigated using the three-neutron transfer reaction (12C,9C) on a 14C target at 231MeV incident energy, the reaction Q-value is Q 0 = - 46.930MeV. Eleven new states up to 16.3MeV excitation energy were identified. The same reaction has also been used on a 12C target ( Q 0 = - 38.787MeV), and excited states in 15C up to 19MeV were observed. In 17C the three transferred neutrons populate (sd )3 configurations on the 14C core. The comparison of levels populated by the (12C,9C) reaction in 17C, 16C and 15C reveals a strong similarity of their properties. This concerns especially nine states in each of the three carbon isotopes, which show practically the same excitation energies except a constant mean shift of +5.82MeV for 16C and +6.65MeV for 15C with respect to 17C. The triples of states from the three isotopes, which correspond to each other, have also similar widths and cross-section ratios. It is concluded that the same (sd )3 structures are populated in the three carbon isotopes. The observed levels of 17C are also compared to the levels of 19O with known assignments and to shell model calculations, and their decay properties are discussed.  相似文献

The decay out of the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band to the known low-energy levels in 132La was studied using the reaction 100Mo + 36S at 160 MeV beam energy. The low-energy level scheme has been further developed and unambiguous spin and parity values have been assigned to the levels connecting the band to the 6- isomeric state. According to the new level scheme the spins in the πh 11/2νh 11/2 band are shifted up by one unit compared to the earlier tentative experimental values. The obtained new spins prove the existence of signature inversion in 132La and give further support to the spin assignments made for the πh 11/2νh 11/2 bands in the neighbouring odd-odd La isotopes from level energy systematics. Excited states in 187Re populated by inelastic scattering of a 500 MeV 82Se beam have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Levels built on the 5/2+[402] and 9/2-[514] one-quasiparticle states were measured up to I π = (21/2+) and (21/2-), respectively. In addition, several new levels including an isomer at 1682 keV with a half-life of 114(23) ns have been found. Quasiparticle configurations of the levels and the transition rates are discussed. The low-energy nuclear structure and decay properties of the neutron-deficient isotopes 195At and 191Bi have been studied. 195At was produced in the reaction 142Nd(56Fe,p2n)195At and 191Bi as the daughter activity of 195At. The activities were implanted in a position-sensitive silicon detector after being separated from the primary beam by a gas-filled recoil separator. The 1/2+ intruder state was determined to be the ground state in 195At with an alpha-decay energy of E α = 6953(3) keV and a half-life T 1/2 = 328(20) ms. Another state with an alpha-decay energy E α = 7075(4) keV and a half-life T 1/2 = 147(5) ms was found to decay to a 148.7(5) keV excited state in 191Bi for which a spin and parity of 7/2- were deduced. Consequently, the same 7/2- character was assigned to the initial state at 32(7) keV in 195At on the basis of unhindered alpha-decay. The 9/2- state, being the ground state in heavier odd-mass astatine isotopes, was not observed. Differential cross-sections of the 24Mg(p, t)22Mg reaction were measured at 34.68 MeV for the states near the proton threshold at 5.502 MeV in 22Mg. Among them, the new states at 5.962, 6.046, 6.246 and 6.323 MeV, which were reported previously, have been confirmed. Angular distributions for these states were analyzed by distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations to deduce the spins and parities. The angular distribution for the 5.714 MeV state, which is considered to be most crucial for the stellar reaction 21Na(p, γ)22Mg, has been found to be consistent with J π = 2+ assignment. The 6.046 MeV state is newly assigned to have J π = 0+, and the 5.962 MeV state is tentatively assigned to have J π = (1-). These two states will also play an important role for 22Mg production in novae. Received: 7 March 2002 / Accepted: 7 May 2002  相似文献

The β--decay of 151Pr produced by the thermal neutron-induced fission of 235U has been studied using an on-line isotope separator. From an internal-conversion electron measurement with a Si(Li) detector, K-conversion coefficients were obtained for 20 γ-transitions. Spins and parities of 6 excited levels in 151Nd were newly determined from the deduced multipolarities: even parities for the 543 and 627 keV levels, odd parities for 250 and 599 keV, (3/2, 5/2)+ for 685 keV, and (1/2, 3/2)+ for 880 keV. The level structure was compared with the rotation-vibration coupling Nilsson model. Elastic scattering and inclusive breakup of 6Li particles on 12C, 58Ni, 90Zr, and 208Pb targets are measured at 100A MeV. The elastic scattering data are compared with single channel and Coupled Discretized Continuum Channels calculations. The coupling-effect between the elastic and the breakup channels is important even at an incident energy of 100A MeV and cannot be neglected. The inclusive breakup data are investigated for orbital dispersion effects which are found to be less significant at 100A MeV. The longitudinal momentum distributions are broader than predicted by theoretical expectations. Received: 17 December 1999 / Revised version: 9 February 2000  相似文献

Low-lying two-quasiparticle bandhead energies for the Z = 99 odd-odd nucleus 254Es are evaluated using a simple phenomenological model with the inclusion of the residual p-n interaction. Configurations of the intrinsic levels directly fed in 254Es from the parent 258Md are discussed in the light of this model. Our analysis predicts the occurrence of ten K≤5 bandheads in 254Es with excitation energies E x≤300keV. Structures of these as yet unidentified low-lying intrinsic levels and their expected locations are discussed in the light of available experimental information.  相似文献

Inelastic electron scattering form factors away from the closed sd -shell are investigated. This investigation covers the low-lying states in 29Si , which is considered according to the many-particle configuration mixing shell model as the 16O core, plus thirteen nucleons distributed over the entire sd -shell orbits. The investigation concentrates on the perturbative role of the core, which is called core polarization effects, on the inelastic electron scattering form factors. Core polarization effects are taken into consideration through the excitation of nucleons from 1s and 1p core orbits, and also from the 2s -1d valence orbits into higher shells, with 2ℏω excitations. Core polarization matrix elements are calculated with the M3Y effective interaction. For the sd -shell model space, a new Hamiltonian, based on a renormalized G -matrix, USDB, is used. All calculations are performed without adjusting any parameters.  相似文献

The structure of 152Nd, produced via β decay of 152Pr, has been investigated using γ-γ coincidence, γ-γ angular correlation, and β-γ-γ triple coincidence measurements. Praseodymium activities were obtained by the thermal neutron fission of 235U and collected by the on-line isotope separator KUR-ISOL. Nineteen γ-rays and four excited states were newly found. The spins of six exited states were determined and the parities of three of them were also deduced. The spin and parity of the 152Pr ground state, which were previously considered as 4, are proposed to be 4+ by the present study. Excited states of 99Ag were populated via the 50Cr + 58Ni (261 MeV) reaction using the NORDBALL detector array equipped with charged-particle and neutron detector systems for reaction channel separation. On the basis of the measured γγ-coincidence relations and angular distribution ratios a significantly extended level scheme has been constructed up to E x ∼ 7.8 MeV and I = 35/2. The experimental results were described within the framework of the shell model. Candidates for states fully aligned in the πg 9/2 -3ν(d 5/2, g 7/2)2 valence configuration space were found at 4109 and 6265 keV.
