We construct the trajectory attractor of a three-dimensional Navier--Stokes system with exciting force . The set consists of a class of solutions to this system which are bounded in , defined on the positive semi-infinite interval of the time axis, and can be extended to the entire time axis so that they still remain bounded-in- solutions of the Navier--Stokes system. In this case any family of bounded-in- solutions of this system comes arbitrary close to the trajectory attractor . We prove that the solutions are continuous in t if they are treated in the space of functions ranging in . The restriction of the trajectory attractor to , , is called the global attractor of the Navier--Stokes system. We prove that the global attractor thus defined possesses properties typical of well-known global attractors of evolution equations. We also prove that as the trajectory attractors and the global attractors of the -order Galerkin approximations of the Navier--Stokes system converge to the trajectory and global attractors and , respectively. Similar problems are studied for the cases of an exciting force of the form depending on time and of an external force rapidly oscillating with respect to the spatial variables or with respect to time .  相似文献

The paper deals with averaging problems for parabolic equations. We prove that exponential dichotomy is preserved without any assumption concerning the almost-periodicity of the coefficients.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the multiscale analysis and numerical algorithms for the wave equations of second order with rapidly oscillating coefficients. The formal multiscale asymptotic expansions of the solutions for these problems in four specific cases are presented. Higher order corrector methods are constructed and associated explicit convergence rates are obtained in some cases. A multiscale numerical method and a symplectic geometric scheme are introduced. Finally, some numerical results and unsolved problems are presented, and these numerical results support strongly the convergence theorem of this paper.  相似文献

In this article, we consider a non-autonomous three-dimensional primitive equations of the ocean with a singularly oscillating external force g ε?=?g 0(t)?+?ε g 1(t/ε) depending on a small parameter ε?>?0 and ρ?∈?[0,?1) together with the averaged system with the external force g 0(t), formally corresponding to the case ε?=?0. Under suitable assumptions on the external force, we prove as in [V.V. Chepyzhov, V. Pata, and M.M.I. Vishik, Averaging of 2D Navier–Stokes equations with singularly oscillating forces, Nonlinearity, 22 (2009), pp. 351–370] the boundness of the uniform global attractor 𝒜ε as well as the convergence of the attractors 𝒜ε of the singular systems to the attractor 𝒜0 of the averaged system as ε?→?0+. When the external force is small enough and the viscosity is large enough, the convergence rate is controlled by Kε(1?ρ). Let us note that the main difference between this work and that of Chepyzhov et al. (2009) is that the non-linearity involved in the three-dimensional primitive equation is stronger than the one in the two-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations considered in Chepyzhov et al. (2009), which makes the analysis of the problem studied in this article more involved.  相似文献

We consider a model example of a quasilinear wave equation in the unit square with zero boundary conditions and use the method of quasinormal forms to prove that there are quite a few dichotomic cycles and tori bifurcating from zero equilibrium. A conjecture concerning the attractor structure is presented. Translated fromMatematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 68, No. 2, pp. 217–229, August, 2000.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic dynamics of the stochastic strongly damped wave equation with homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. We investigate the existence of a random attractor for the random dynamical system associated with the equation.  相似文献

We study a uniform attractor $\mathcal{A}^\varepsilon $ for a dissipative wave equation in a bounded domain Ω ? ?n under the assumption that the external force singularly oscillates in time; more precisely, it is of the form g 0(x, t)+ ε g 1 (x, t/ε), x ∈ Ω, t ∈ ?, where α > 0, 0 < ε ≤ 1. In E = H 0 1 × L 2, this equation has an absorbing set B ε estimated as ‖B ε E C 1+C 2ε and, therefore, can increase without bound in the norm of E as ε → 0+. Under certain additional constraints on the function g 1(x, z), x ∈ Ω, z ∈ ?, we prove that, for 0 < αα 0, the global attractors $\mathcal{A}^\varepsilon $ of such an equation are bounded in E, i.e., $\parallel \mathcal{A}^\varepsilon \parallel _E \leqslant C_3 $ , 0 < ε ≤ 1. Along with the original equation, we consider a “limiting” wave equation with external force g 0(x, t) that also has a global attractor $\mathcal{A}^0 $ . For the case in which g 0(x, t) = g 0(x) and the global attractor $\mathcal{A}^0 $ of the limiting equation is exponential, it is established that, for 0 < αα 0, the Hausdorff distance satisfies the estimate $dist_E (\mathcal{A}^\varepsilon ,\mathcal{A}^0 ) \leqslant C\varepsilon ^{\eta (\alpha )} $ , where η(α) > 0. For η(α) and α 0, explicit formulas are given. We also study the nonautonomous case in which g 0 = g 0(x, t). It is assumed that sufficient conditions are satisfied for which the “limiting” nonautonomous equation has an exponential global attractor. In this case, we obtain upper bounds for the Hausdorff distance of the attractors $\mathcal{A}^\varepsilon $ from $\mathcal{A}^0 $ , similar to those given above.  相似文献

This article is concerned with a fourth-order parabolic equation. Based on the regularity estimates for the semigroups and the classical existence theorem of global attractors, we prove that the fourth-order parabolic equation possesses a global attractor in H k (0?≤?k?H k (Ω) in the H k -norm.  相似文献

An estimate on the Hausdorff dimension of the global attractor for damped nonlinear wave equations, in two cases of nonlinear damping and linear damping, with Dirichlet boundary condition is obtained. The gained Hausdorff dimension is bounded and is independent of the concrete form of nonlinear damping term. In the case of linear damping, the gained Hausdorff dimension remains small for large damping, which conforms to the physical intuition.

The paper studies the longtime behavior of solutions to the initial boundary value problem (IBVP) for a nonlinear wave equation arising in elasto‐plastic flow utt?div{|?u|m?1?u}?λΔut2u+g(u)=f(x). It proves that under rather mild conditions, the dynamical system associated with above‐mentioned IBVP possesses a global attractor, which is connected and has finite Hausdorff and fractal dimension in the phase spaces X1=H(Ω) × L2(Ω) and X=(H3(Ω)∩H(Ω)) × H(Ω), respectively. We consider the two-dimensional stochastic damped nonlinear wave equation (SdNLW) with the cubic nonlinearity, forced by a space-time white noise. In particular, we investigate the limiting behavior of solutions to SdNLW with regularized noises and establish triviality results in the spirit of the work by Hairer et al. (2012). More precisely, without renormalization of the nonlinearity, we establish the following two limiting behaviors; (i) in the strong noise regime, we show that solutions to SdNLW with regularized noises tend to 0 as the regularization is removed and (ii) in the weak noise regime, we show that solutions to SdNLW with regularized noises converge to a solution to a deterministic damped nonlinear wave equation with an additional mass term.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence and decay of solutions of the mixed problem for the nonlinear wave equation with boundary conditions Here, Ω is an open bounded set of with boundary Γ of class C2; Γ is constituted of two disjoint closed parts Γ0 and Γ1 both with positive measure; the functions μ(t), f(s), g(s) satisfy the conditions μ(t) ≥ μ0 > 0, f(s) ≥ 0, g(s) ≥ 0 for t ≥ 0, s ≥ 0 and h(x,s) is a real function where x ∈ Γ1, ν(x) is the unit outward normal vector at x ∈ Γ1 and α, β are non‐negative real constants. Assuming that h(x,s) is strongly monotone in s for each x ∈ Γ1, it is proved the global existence of solutions for the previous mixed problem. For that, it is used in the Galerkin method with a special basis, the compactness approach, the Strauss approximation for real functions and the trace theorem for nonsmooth functions. The exponential decay of the energy is derived by two methods: by using a Lyapunov functional and by Nakao's method. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A parabolic equation under the influence of external perturbations is considered. It is assumed that the solutions to this equation are measured (possibly with errors). The problem of construction of differential equations for estimation (reconstruction) of perturbations using the measured data is discussed. Differential equations of the auxiliary system whose right-hand sides are approximations of the unknown input are derived.  相似文献

Our aim in this paper is to study the long time behavior of a class of doubly nonlinear parabolic equations. In particular, we prove the existence of the global attractor which has, in one and two space dimensions, finite fractal dimension.  相似文献
