Generalizing toric varieties, we introduce toric Deligne-Mumford stacks. The main result in this paper is an explicit calculation of the orbifold Chow ring of a toric Deligne-Mumford stack. As an application, we prove that the orbifold Chow ring of the toric Deligne-Mumford stack associated to a simplicial toric variety is a flat deformation of (but is not necessarily isomorphic to) the Chow ring of a crepant resolution.

Any toric Deligne-Mumford stack is a -gerbe over the underlying toric orbifold for a finite abelian group . In this paper we give a sufficient condition so that certain kinds of gerbes over a toric Deligne-Mumford stack are again toric Deligne-Mumford stacks.

We study the generalized hypergeometric system introduced by Gelfand, Kapranov and Zelevinsky and its relationship with the toric Deligne-Mumford (DM) stacks recently studied by Borisov, Chen and Smith. We construct series solutions with values in a combinatorial version of the Chen-Ruan (orbifold) cohomology and in the K-theory of the associated DM stacks. In the spirit of the homological mirror symmetry conjecture of Kontsevich, we show that the K-theory action of the Fourier-Mukai functors associated to basic toric birational maps of DM stacks are mirrored by analytic continuation transformations of Mellin-Barnes type.  相似文献

In this paper we give a construction of algebraic (Artin) stacks endowed with a modular map onto the moduli stack of stable curves of genus g with n marked points. The stacks we construct are smooth, irreducible and have dimension 4g−3+n, yielding a geometrically meaningful compactification of the universal Picard stack parametrizing n-pointed smooth curves together with a line bundle.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to develop the theory of motivic integration over Deligne-Mumford stacks and to apply it to the birational geometry of Deligne-Mumford stacks.  相似文献

In [19], A. King states the following conjecture: Any smooth complete toric variety has a tilting bundle whose summands are line bundles. The goal of this paper is to prove Kings conjecture for the following types of smooth complete toric varieties: (i) Any d-dimensional smooth complete toric variety with splitting fan. (ii) Any d-dimensional smooth complete toric variety with Picard number 2. (iii) The blow up of any smooth complete minimal toric surface at T-invariants points.Mathematics Subject Classification (1991): 14F05; 14M25Partially supported by BFM2001-3584.  相似文献

We construct algebraic moduli stacks of log structures and give stack-theoretic interpretations of K. Kato's notions of log flat, log smooth, and log étale morphisms. In the last section we describe the local structure of these moduli stacks in terms of toric stacks.  相似文献

In this note we apply the techniques of the toric systems introduced by Hille–Perling to several problems on smooth projective surfaces: We showed that the existence of full exceptional collection of line bundles implies the rationality for small Picard rank surfaces; we proved equivalences of several notions of cyclic strong exceptional collection of line bundles; we also proposed a partial solution to a conjecture on exceptional sheaves on weak del Pezzo surfaces.  相似文献

We develop a theory of toric Artin stacks extending the theories of toric Deligne–Mumford stacks developed by Borisov–Chen–Smith, Fantechi–Mann–Nironi, and Iwanari. We also generalize the Chevalley–Shephard–Todd theorem to the case of diagonalizable group schemes. These are both applications of our main theorem which shows that a toroidal embedding $X$ is canonically the good moduli space (in the sense of Alper) of a smooth log smooth Artin stack whose stacky structure is supported on the singular locus of $X$ .  相似文献

Abstract

We show that the second Chern character of any projective toric manifold of Picard number three is not positive. In connection with this result, we give various examples of the positivity of higher Chern characters of projective toric manifolds.

In this note we show that the positivity property of the equivariant signature of the loop space, first observed in [MS1] in the case of the even-dimensional projective spaces, is valid for Picard number 2 toric varieties. A new formula for the equivariant signature of the loop space in the case of a toric spin variety is derived.Partially supported by an NSF grant  相似文献

We classify all smooth projective horospherical varieties with Picard number 1. We prove that the automorphism group of any such variety X acts with at most two orbits and that this group still acts with only two orbits on X blown up at the closed orbit. We characterize all smooth projective two-orbit varieties with Picard number 1 that satisfy this latter property.  相似文献

In this paper, examples of type II Sarkisov links between smooth complex projective Fano threefolds with Picard number one are provided. To show examples of these links, we study smooth weak Fano threefolds X with Picard number two and with a divisorial extremal ray. We assume that the pluri-anticanonical morphism of X contracts only a finite number of curves. The numerical classification of these particular smooth weak Fano threefolds is completed and the geometric existence of some numerical cases is proven.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to settle two still open problems, connected with the existence of ample and nef divisors on a Q-factorial complete toric variety. The first problem is about the existence of ample divisors when the Picard number is 2: we give a positive answer to this question, by studying the secondary fan by means of Z-linear Gale duality. The second problem is about the minimum value of the Picard number allowing the vanishing of the Nef cone: we present a 3-dimensional example showing that this value cannot be greater then 3, which, under the previous result, is also the minimum value guaranteeing the existence of non-projective examples.  相似文献

Let X and Y be two smooth Deligne-Mumford stacks and consider a pair of functions f: X → $ \mathbb{A}^1 $ \mathbb{A}^1 , g:Y → $ \mathbb{A}^1 $ \mathbb{A}^1 . Assuming that there exists a complex of sheaves on X × $ \mathbb{A}^1 $ \mathbb{A}^1 Y which induces an equivalence of D b (X) and D b (Y), we show that there is also an equivalence of the singular derived categories of the fibers f −1(0) and g −1(0). We apply this statement in the setting of McKay correspondence, and generalize a theorem of Orlov on the derived category of a Calabi-Yau hypersurface in a weighted projective space, to products of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in simplicial toric varieties with nef anticanonical class.  相似文献

In this paper we give an upper bound for the Picard number of the rational surfaces which resolve minimally the singularities of toric log Del Pezzo surfaces of given index . This upper bound turns out to be a quadratic polynomial in the variable . Received: 18 June 2008  相似文献

Hom stacks
We study Hom 2-functors parameterizing 1-morphisms of algebraic stacks, and prove that they are representable by algebraic stacks under certain conditions, using Artin's criterion. As an application we study Picard 2-functors which parameterize line bundles on algebraic stacks. An erratum to this article is available at .  相似文献

Smooth Schubert varieties in rational homogeneous manifolds of Picard number 1 are horospherical varieties. We characterize standard embeddings of smooth Schubert varieties in rational homogeneous manifolds of Picard number 1 by means of varieties of minimal rational tangents. In particular, we mainly consider nonhomogeneous smooth Schubert varieties in symplectic Grassmannians and in the 20-dimensional F_4- homogeneous manifold associated to a short simple root.  相似文献
