We study the stable extendibility of R-vector bundles over the (2n+1)-dimensional standard lens space Ln(p) with odd prime p, focusing on the normal bundle to an immersion of Ln(p) in the Euclidean space R2n+1+t. We show several concrete cases in which is stably extendible to Lk(p) for any k with k?n, and in several cases we determine the exact value m for which is stably extendible to Lm(p) but not stably extendible to Lm+1(p).  相似文献

The poset retraction problem for a poset P is whether a given poset Q containing P as a subposet admits a retraction onto P, that is, whether there is a homomorphism from Q onto P which fixes every element of P. We study this problem for finite series-parallel posets P. We present equivalent combinatorial, algebraic, and topological charaterisations of posets for which the problem is tractable, and, for such a poset P, we describe posets admitting a retraction onto P.  相似文献

We use certain special prehomogeneous representations of algebraic groups in order to construct aCM vector bundles, possibly Ulrich, on certain families of hypersurfaces. Among other results, we show that a general cubic hypersurface of dimension seven admits an indecomposable Ulrich bundle of rank nine, and that a general quartic fourfold admits an unsplit aCM bundle of rank six.  相似文献

By constructing a correspondence relationship between independence spaces and posets, under isomorphism, this paper characterizes loopless independence spaces and applies this characterization to reformulate certain results on independence spaces in poset frameworks. We investigate a category of quantum posets that generalizes the category of posets and monotone functions. Up to equivalence, its objects are hereditarily atomic von Neumann algebras equipped with quantum partial orders in Weaver’s sense. We show that this category is complete, cocomplete and symmetric monoidal closed. As a consequence, any discrete quantum family of maps from a discrete quantum space to a partially ordered set is canonically equipped with a quantum preorder. In particular, the quantum power set of a quantum set is canonically a quantum poset. We show that each quantum poset embeds into its quantum power set in complete analogy with the classical case.  相似文献

We prove that ?? and its restriction ??ξ to X × ??ξ are stable. The space of all infinitesimal deformations of ?? over X ×??(n , d ) is proved to be of dimension 3g and that of ??ξ over X × ??ξ of dimension 2g , assuming that g ≥ 3 and if g = 3 then n ≥ 4 and if g = 4 then n ≥ 3. Let M be an irreducible projective variety defined over an algebraically closed field k, and let EG be a principal G-bundle over M, where G is a connected reductive linear algebraic group defined over k. We show that for EG there is a naturally associated conjugacy class of Levi subgroups of G. Given a Levi subgroup H in this conjugacy class, the principal G-bundle EG admits a reduction of structure group to H. Furthermore, this reduction is unique up to an automorphism of EG.  相似文献

Upper homogeneous finite type (upho) posets are a large class of partially ordered sets with the property that the principal order filter at every vertex is isomorphic to the whole poset. Well-known examples include k-ary trees, the grid graphs, and the Stern poset. Very little is known about upho posets in general. In this paper, we construct upho posets with Schur-positive Ehrenborg quasisymmetric functions, whose rank-generating functions have rational poles and zeros. We also categorize the rank-generating functions of all planar upho posets. Finally, we prove the existence of an upho poset with an uncomputable rank-generating function.  相似文献
