We first show that increasing trees are in bijection with set compositions, extending simultaneously a recent result on trees due to Tonks and a classical result on increasing binary trees. We then consider algebraic structures on the linear span of set compositions (the twisted descent algebra). Among others, a number of enveloping algebra structures are introduced and studied in detail. For example, it is shown that the linear span of trees carries an enveloping algebra structure and embeds as such in an enveloping algebra of increasing trees. All our constructions arise naturally from the general theory of twisted Hopf algebras.  相似文献

Let be a Coxeter group with Coxeter graph . Let be the associated Hecke algebra. We define a certain ideal in and study the quotient algebra . We show that when is one of the infinite series of graphs of type , the quotient is semi-simple. We examine the cell structures of these algebras and construct their irreducible representations. We discuss the case where is of type , , or .

Let (W,I) be a finite Coxeter group. In the case where W is a Weyl group, Berenstein and Kazhdan in [A. Berenstein, D. Kazhdan, Geometric and unipotent crystals. II. From unipotent bicrystals to crystal bases, in: Quantum Groups, in: Contemp. Math., vol. 433, Amer. Math. Soc., Providence, RI, 2007, pp. 13–88] constructed a monoid structure on the set of all subsets of I using unipotent χ-linear bicrystals. In this paper, we will generalize this result to all types of finite Coxeter groups (including non-crystallographic types). Our approach is more elementary, based on some combinatorics of Coxeter groups. Moreover, we will calculate this monoid structure explicitly for each type.  相似文献

Let V be an r-dimensional vector space over an infinite field F of prime characteristic p, and let Ln(V) denote the nth homogeneous component of the free Lie algebra on V. We study the structure of Ln(V) as a module for the general linear group GLr(F) when n=pk and k is not divisible by p and where rn. Our main result is an explicit 1-1 correspondence, multiplicity-preserving, between the indecomposable direct summands of Lk(V) and the indecomposable direct summands of Ln(V) which are not isomorphic to direct summands of Vn. Our approach uses idempotents of the Solomon descent algebras, and in addition a correspondence theorem for permutation modules of symmetric groups. Inspired by a previous work of Nakajima, we consider perverse sheaves over acyclic graded quiver varieties and study the Fourier–Sato–Deligne transform from a representation theoretic point of view. We obtain deformed monoidal categorifications of acyclic quantum cluster algebras with specific coefficients. In particular, the (quantum) positivity conjecture is verified whenever there is an acyclic seed in the (quantum) cluster algebra.  相似文献

We show the existence of a unital subalgebra of the symmetric group algebra linearly spanned by sums of permutations with a common peak set, which we call the peak algebra. We show that is the image of the descent algebra of type B under the map to the descent algebra of type A which forgets the signs, and also the image of the descent algebra of type D. The algebra contains a two-sided ideal which is defined in terms of interior peaks. This object was introduced in previous work by Nyman (2003); we find that it is the image of certain ideals of the descent algebras of types B and D. We derive an exact sequence of the form . We obtain this and many other properties of the peak algebra and its peak ideal by first establishing analogous results for signed permutations and then forgetting the signs. In particular, we construct two new commutative semisimple subalgebras of the descent algebra (of dimensions and by grouping permutations according to their number of peaks or interior peaks. We discuss the Hopf algebraic structures that exist on the direct sums of the spaces and over and explain the connection with previous work of Stembridge (1997); we also obtain new properties of his descents-to-peaks map and construct a type B analog.

For G a finite abelian group, we study the properties of general equivalence relations on G n = G n n , the wreath product of G with the symmetric group n , also known as the G-coloured symmetric group. We show that under certain conditions, some equivalence relations give rise to subalgebras of G n as well as graded connected Hopf subalgebras of ⨁ no G n . In particular we construct a G-coloured peak subalgebra of the Mantaci-Reutenauer algebra (or G-coloured descent algebra). We show that the direct sum of the G-coloured peak algebras is a Hopf algebra. We also have similar results for a G-colouring of the Loday-Ronco Hopf algebras of planar binary trees. For many of the equivalence relations under study, we obtain a functor from the category of finite abelian groups to the category of graded connected Hopf algebras. We end our investigation by describing a Hopf endomorphism of the G-coloured descent Hopf algebra whose image is the G-coloured peak Hopf algebra. We outline a theory of combinatorial G-coloured Hopf algebra for which the G-coloured quasi-symmetric Hopf algebra and the graded dual to the G-coloured peak Hopf algebra are central objects. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification Primary: 16S99; Secondary: 05E05, 05E10, 16S34, 16W30, 20B30, 20E22Bergeron is partially supported by NSERC and CRC, CanadaHohlweg is partially supported by CRC  相似文献

If (W,S) is a Coxeter system, then an element of W is a reflection if it is conjugate to some element of S. To each Coxeter system there is an associated Coxeter diagram. A Coxeter system is called reflection preserving if every automorphism of W preserves reflections in this Coxeter system. As a direct application of our main theorem, we classify all reflection preserving even Coxeter systems. More generally, if (W,S) is an even Coxeter system, we give a combinatorial condition on the diagram for (W,S) that determines whether or not two even systems for W have the same set of reflections. If (W,S) is even and (W,S) is not even, then these systems do not have the same set of reflections. A Coxeter group is said to be reflection independent if any two Coxeter systems (W,S) and (W,S) have the same set of reflections. We classify all reflection independent even Coxeter groups.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000). 20F05, 20F55, 20F65, 51F15.  相似文献

The centralizer algebra of the action of on the real tensor powers of its natural module, , is described by means of a modification in the multiplication of the signed Brauer algebras. The relationships of this algebra with the invariants for and with the decomposition of into irreducible submodules is considered.

We introduce and study a Hopf algebra containing the descent algebra as a sub-Hopf-algebra. It has the main algebraic properties of the descent algebra, and more: it is a sub-Hopf-algebra of the direct sum of the symmetric group algebras; it is closed under the corresponding inner product; it is cocommutative, so it is an enveloping algebra; it contains all Lie idempotents of the symmetric group algebras. Moreover, its primitive elements are exactly the Lie elements which lie in the symmetric group algebras.  相似文献

We construct bar-invariant Z[q ±1/2 ]-bases of the quantum cluster algebra of Kronecker quiver which are quantum analogues of the canonical basis, semicanonical basis and dual semicanonical basis of the corresponding cluster algebra. As a byproduct, we prove positivity of the elements in these bases.  相似文献

We define mutation on coloured quivers associated to tilting objects in higher cluster categories. We show that this operation is compatible with the mutation operation on the tilting objects. This gives a combinatorial approach to tilting in higher cluster categories and especially an algorithm to determine the Gabriel quivers of tilting objects in such categories.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The “W-graph” concept was introduced by Kazhdan and Lusztig in their influential article Kazhdan and Lusztig (1979 Kazhdan , D. , Lusztig , G. ( 1979 ). Representations of Coxeter groups and Hecke algebras . Invent. Math. 53 : 165184 . [CROSSREF] [CSA] [Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]). If W is a Coxeter group, then a W-graph provides a method for constructing a matrix representation of the Hecke algebra ? associated with W (the degree of the representation being the number of vertices of the W-graph). The aim of this note is to explicitly construct all the irreducible representations of ? when W is of type D 4 and D 5.  相似文献

The classification of extended affine Lie algebras of type A_1 depends on the Tits-Kantor- Koecher (TKK) algebras constructed from semilattices of Euclidean spaces. One can define a unitary Jordan algebra J(S) from a semilattice S of R~v (v≥1),and then construct an extended affine Lie algebra of type A_1 from the TKK algebra T(J(S)) which is obtained from the Jordan algebra J(S) by the so-called Tits-Kantor-Koecher construction. In R~2 there are only two non-similar semilattices S and S′,where S is a lattice and S′is a non-lattice semilattice. In this paper we study the Z~2-graded automorphisms of the TKK algebra T(J(S)).  相似文献

The paper establishes, for a wide class of locally compact groupoids Γ, the E-theoretic descent functor at the C-algebra level, in a way parallel to that established for locally compact groups by Guentner, Higson and Trout. Section 2 shows that Γ-actions on a C0(X)-algebra B, where X is the unit space of Γ, can be usefully formulated in terms of an action on the associated bundle B?. Section 3 shows that the functor BC(Γ,B) is continuous and exact, and uses the disintegration theory of J. Renault. Section 4 establishes the existence of the descent functor under a very mild condition on Γ, the main technical difficulty involved being that of finding a Γ-algebra that plays the role of Cbcont(T,B) in the group case.  相似文献

This paper presents a modified descent method for solving co-coercive variational inequalities. Incorporating with the techniques of identifying descent directions and optimal step sizes along these directions, the new method improves the efficiencies of some existing projection methods. Some numerical results for an economic equilibrium problem are reported.  相似文献
