排气噪声可分为稳定排气噪声,周期性排气噪声和间歇性排气噪声,通过对锻压机离合器与制动器的排气噪声源的特性研究,指出间歇性气噪声是由管道噪声,阀门噪声和喷口噪声所组成,首次指出了间歇性排气噪声存在单极子噪声及爆炸声。通过理论计算及试验建立了一种有效的滤波了噪消声器结构。  相似文献

Numerous relationships between noise exposure and transportation noise-induced annoyance have been inferred by curve-fitting methods. The present paper develops a different approach. It derives a systematic relationship by applying an a priori, first-principles model to the findings of forty three studies of the annoyance of aviation noise. The rate of change of annoyance with day-night average sound level (DNL) due to aircraft noise exposure was found to closely resemble the rate of change of loudness with sound level. The agreement of model predictions with the findings of recent curve-fitting exercises (cf. Miedma and Vos, 1998) is noteworthy, considering that other analyses have relied on different analytic methods and disparate data sets. Even though annoyance prevalence rates within individual communities consistently grow in proportion to duration-adjusted loudness, variability in annoyance prevalence rates across communities remains great. The present analyses demonstrate that 1) community-specific differences in annoyance prevalence rates can be plausibly attributed to the joint effect of acoustic and non-DNL related factors and (2) a simple model can account for the aggregate influences of non-DNL related factors on annoyance prevalence rates in different communities in terms of a single parameter expressed in DNL units-a "community tolerance level."  相似文献

This paper describes the effects of meaningful and meaningless external acoustical noise, at various sound pressure level values, on participants during a mental task. That is, the authors focused on the psychological impression of `annoyance' caused by noise, and `performance' indicated by factors such as percentage of correct answers and reaction time. More specifically, the authors discussed how these two items depend on the sound pressure level value of noise, and how they change due to meaningful or meaningless noise. Moreover, the difference between subjective feelings of `fatigue' before and after the task, both with and without noise was considered. Furthermore, an investigation was made into how the above items change in the case of aural or visual task presentations. The task was the probe digit, which is a short-term memory task. As a result, the importance of reducing meaningful external noise at low sound pressure level values was shown.  相似文献

Several studies have presented the effects of environmental noise in and around buildings and communities in which people live and work. In particular, the noise introduced into a building is mostly evaluated using the A weighted sound pressure level (LAeq) as the only parameter to determine the perceived disturbance. Nevertheless, if noise is produced by activities or sources characterised by a low frequency contribution, the measurement of LAeq underestimates the real disturbance, in particular during sleeping time.  相似文献

The number of helicopter operations has rapidly increased during the last 20 years in Japan. Helicopter noise sounds different from other aircraft; the waveform of the sound pressure is impulsive and the signal duration is relatively long. The Environmental Agency of Japan implemented new guidelines for evaluating noise exposure around small airports, including heliports, in 1990. This study was executed in connection with the development of provisional guidelines. Psychoacoustic experiments were carried out to identify an evaluation index for helicopter noise. In order to examine the effect of duration independently, we not only used original sound recordings, but also synthesized sound signals. The durations of these sound signals were time compressed or expanded without degrading the quality of the original sound recording. The test results show that the effect of duration is significant, and that the A-weighted sound exposure level is a better index than the maximum A-weighted sound pressure level for the evaluation of helicopter noise.  相似文献

This study is an evaluation of the problem of noise pollution in operating rooms. The high sound pressure level of noise in the operating theatre has a negative impact on communication between operating room personnel. The research took place at nine Greek public hospitals with more than 400 beds. The objective evaluation consisted of sound pressure level measurements in terms of L(eq), as well as peak sound pressure levels in recordings during 43 surgeries in order to identify sources of noise. The subjective evaluation consisted of a questionnaire answered by 684 operating room personnel. The views of operating room personnel were studied using Pearson's X(2) Test and Fisher's Exact Test (SPSS Version 10.00), a t-test comparison was made of mean sound pressure levels, and the relationship of measurement duration and sound pressure level was examined using linear regression analysis (SPSS Version 13.00). The sound pressure levels of noise per operation and the sources of noise varied. The maximum measured level of noise during the main procedure of an operation was measured at L(eq)=71.9 dB(A), L(1)=84.7 dB(A), L(10)=76.2 dB(A), and L(99)=56.7 dB(A). The hospital building, machinery, tools, and people in the operating room were the main noise factors. In order to eliminate excess noise in the operating room it may be necessary to adopt a multidisciplinary approach. An improvement in environment (background noise levels), the implementation of effective standards, and the focusing of the surgical team on noise matters are considered necessary changes.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to assess whether or not rating perceived activity disturbance using magnitude estimation scale and using master-scaling transformation is more relevant than rating disturbance with category scale to reveal the influence of the number and the sound quality of aircraft flyovers. The master-scaling transformation is intended to reduce the inter-individual differences between people. Thirty participants were subjected to six sound sequences. They attended the test in two different sessions separated by a week at least, and had to evaluate the level of activity disturbance due to the noise environment when carrying out memory and concentration tasks. During each session, participants first went through a calibration phase and were then subjected to one 20-min sound sequence. The calibration phase, which can be also considered as a training phase at the beginning of each session, allows subjects to built their own annoyance scale. As expected, the perceived activity disturbance depends on the equivalent sound level and on the number of aircraft. But the master-scaling transformation did not succeed in reducing the variability between subjects. This transformation which calibrates the subjects on only one aspect of the sound (which is the equivalent sound level in this experiment) could emphasis the difference between subjects who have been more or less sensitive to other aspects of the sound (the tonality or the repetition of events in this experiment) than to loudness. Nevertheless, this experiment confirms that Stroop reaction time, which is influenced by the number of flyovers, seems to be adapted for measuring the effect of noise on task achievement.  相似文献

The characteristics of various types of refrigerator noise were investigated in an anechoic chamber and in a real living environment - a 100 m2 apartment which is a common size in Korea. It was found that the sound pressure level of the refrigerator noise in the real living room was about 10 dB higher than the level in the anechoic chamber at the same position (1 m in front of refrigerator). In addition, a tolerance level for refrigerator noise was determined by subjective evaluation experiments. Refrigerator noise was presented by a loudspeaker placed in the kitchen where the refrigerator is normally located. Level 2 responses to the subjective evaluation (“hardly perceivable”) corresponded to a sound pressure level of about 26 dB(A), for which 90% of participants were satisfied with the level of refrigerator noise. A semantic differential test using various adjectives was also conducted to evaluate the sound quality of refrigerator noise. With the semantic differential and the factor analysis, adjectives used in this experiment were grouped into three factors. From the results of correlation and multiple regression analyses on the psychoacoustical parameters and subjective evaluations of 30 kinds of refrigerators, sound quality index which predict the subjective rating score were proposed.  相似文献

A laboratory experiment was performed in which 82 subjects judged the benefit of a noise barrier by listening to tape recordings of before-barrier and after-barrier traffic noise. These perceived benefit judgments were related by regression analysis to the barrier attenuation, the before-barrier traffic sound level, and a music background level, all of which were varied over the course of the experiment. Prediction equations were developed for barrier benefit in terms of these sound levels, their purpose being to provide a model for barrier benefit that can be used in barrier site selection and design. An unexpected finding was that barrier benefit was highest when before-barrier sound levels were lowest: i.e., subjects preferred a noise barrier that solved a moderate noise problem over an equally-attenuating barrier that only partially solved a more severe noise problem.  相似文献

The rolling noise from tyre–pavement interaction represents the greatest sound contribution from a vehicle when cruising at a high speed. To evaluate the sound levels from this source, existing standardized methods that establish different measurement procedures in both the immediate tyre surroundings, for example the Close-Proximity method, as well as at greater distances, as the Coast-By method. A fundamental parameter that can quantify the sound generation of a source is its sound power level. The standardized methods establish procedures to measure the sound pressure level but not the power level of a tyre as a noise source. For this reason, this paper presents a novel methodology based on sound pressure measurements to obtain the sound power level that a vehicle emits in Coast-By conditions, where noise is generated at tyre/road interaction. The paper describes the testing procedure used to obtain the sound power level, and it is accompanied by a mathematical simulation that studies the feasibility of the proposal. Finally, the proposed methodology is further validated through a field study.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of experimental studies of the noise of a residential split-system air-conditioner unit. The compressor and condenser and associated fans were removed from the unit and did not form part of the studies. Care was taken with the unit to separate the inlet and exhaust noise from the noise radiated from the cabinet. The measurements were made with a two-microphone sound intensity probe and these resulted in sound power level data. The sound power levels produced by radiation from the inlet, exhaust and cabinet were obtained for five different volume flow rates. The effect on the sound power generated by removing the coil was investigated. Measurements and subjective studies show that the low frequency sound is predominantly radiated from the exhaust and inlet. At high frequency, the cabinet noise dominates.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a system to easily produce a noise map using noise and GPS data measured simultaneously. The system consists of a sound level meter, a GPS receiver, a database program to manage the measured data, and a program to produce the noise map including a computer model of the target area. The GPS receiver interfaced to the sound level meter allows simultaneous measurement and storage of the noise level and the global position at a location. The database program directly imports one or more measured data stored in the sound level meter. Then, selected measurement results are exported to the noise mapping program for producing colour-coded or noise contour line maps using measured data at user-defined locations. The noise map produced can be exported to DXF and SHP files with other modeling items, for post-processing in GIS software. To demonstrate the capability of the developed system, we show a noise map for a university campus produced by the system.  相似文献

Conversations must be shielded from people in an adjacent room if they include confidential information. Word intelligibility tests were performed in a total of 185 sound fields to examine the relationship between sound insulation performance and the degree of conversation leakage. The parameters of the test sound fields were background noise level in the adjacent room and the level difference between the two rooms. The background noise level was varied from 30 to 50 dB (A-weighted). The level difference was parametrically varied in terms of eight frequency characteristics and 10 absolute values. The results showed that word intelligibility scores were strongly correlated with the A-weighted speech-to-noise ratio and SNRuni32. Equal-intelligibility contours, which can easily show the weighted level difference and A-weighted background noise level required to achieve a certain level of word intelligibility scores, were obtained from a multiple logistic regression analysis.  相似文献

Behavioral psychophysical techniques were used to evaluate the residual effects of underwater noise on the hearing sensitivity of three pinnipeds: a California sea lion (Zalophus californianus), a harbor seal (Phoca vitulina), and a northern elephant seal (Mirounga angustirostris). Temporary threshold shift (TTS), defined as the difference between auditory thresholds obtained before and after noise exposure, was assessed. The subjects were exposed to octave-band noise centered at 2500 Hz at two sound pressure levels: 80 and 95 dB SL (re: auditory threshold at 2500 Hz). Noise exposure durations were 22, 25, and 50 min. Threshold shifts were assessed at 2500 and 3530 Hz. Mean threshold shifts ranged from 2.9-12.2 dB. Full recovery of auditory sensitivity occurred within 24 h of noise exposure. Control sequences, comprising sham noise exposures, did not result in significant mean threshold shifts for any subject. Threshold shift magnitudes increased with increasing noise sound exposure level (SEL) for two of the three subjects. The results underscore the importance of including sound exposure metrics (incorporating sound pressure level and exposure duration) in order to fully assess the effects of noise on marine mammal hearing.  相似文献

The dB(A) sound level of a noise is accepted as a measure of the damage risk to unprotected ears but often it is not a reliable guide to the risk to ears fitted with hearing protectors. For any dB(A) level inside a protector, normally there will be substantially higher sound levels outside that protector. This paper shows how, from sequential frequency attenuation bands of the protector, and sound level weightings, external sound levels can be calculated, below which the noise inside the protector does not exceed a chosen dB(A) level. Further valuable information may be obtained by mapping external dB(A) and dB(C) levels to cover all possible noise spectra that give the chosen dB(A) level inside the protector. Thus, from a pair of measured sound levels, use of the method indicates whether the protector is sufficient or not, or whether more detailed measurment of the noise is required. This knowledge enhances the scope of the sound level meter and reduces the need for frequency analysis of industrial noise. Its application should be a helpful addition to the data provided by suppliers of hearing protectors.  相似文献

This paper focuses on masking speech with meaningless steady noise as a way of realizing a comfortable sound environment. As a basis for research, meaningless steady noise at minimum sound pressure levels for masking of male or female meaningful speech is considered, based on psychological experiments using a method of adjustment. From the results, band-limited pink noise can be selected as the most effective noise for masking of speech. In the case of speech with a lower sound pressure level, the sound pressure level of the meaningless steady noise needs to be a little higher.  相似文献

Fidell et al. [(2011), J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 130(2), 791-806] have shown (1) that the rate of growth of annoyance with noise exposure reported in attitudinal surveys of the annoyance of aircraft noise closely resembles the exponential rate of change of loudness with sound level, and (2) that the proportion of a community highly annoyed and the variability in annoyance prevalence rates in communities are well accounted for by a simple model with a single free parameter: a community tolerance level (abbreviated CTL, and represented symbolically in mathematical expressions as L(ct)), expressed in units of DNL. The current study applies the same modeling approach to predicting the prevalence of annoyance of road traffic and rail noise. The prevalence of noise-induced annoyance of all forms of transportation noise is well accounted for by a simple, loudness-like exponential function with community-specific offsets. The model fits all of the road traffic findings well, but the prevalence of annoyance due to rail noise is more accurately predicted separately for interviewing sites with and without high levels of vibration and/or rattle.  相似文献

This paper studies the acoustics of a frost free three door domestic refrigerator. Then, as a case study, the radiated noise reduction in the refrigerator using a natural material base composite is presented. Composites manufactured out of Jute, which is a plant fiber abundantly and cheaply available in India and Bangladesh are used in the noise reduction in the refrigerator. Mostly in this work, composites made out of felts of jute were used as barriers for noise control of the refrigerator. Measured acoustical, thermal and physical properties of various jute composites are reported. Noise sources in the refrigerator were characterized using sound intensity method and sound pressure level measurements. It is found that the compressor and the evaporator fan are the predominant noise sources. The jute composite treatment done to the refrigerator shell around the evaporator fan reduced the refrigerator noise level by 5 dB and improved its measured sound quality metrics without affecting the cooling performance of the refrigerator.  相似文献

The performance of a transformer core may be considered in terms of power loss and by the noise generated by the core, both of which should be minimised. This paper discusses the setting up of a suitable system for evaluation of noise in a large model transformer core (500 kV A) and issues associated with noise measurement. The equivalent continuous sound pressure level (LAeq) was used as a measure of the A-weighted sound level and measurements were made in the range 16 Hz–25 kHz for various step lap core configurations. The selection of optimum sound insulation materials between core and ground support and for enclosing the transformer is essential for minimisation of background noise. Core clamping pressure must be optimised in order to minimise noise. The use of two laminations per layer instead of one leads to an increase in noise arising from the core. Provided care is taken in building the core, good reproducibility of results can be obtained for analysis.  相似文献

This paper discusses the practical evaluation of noise levels generated by air-conditioning and ventilating systems inside buildings. The results of this work are incorporated in a Draft Italian Standard. The criterion for evaluation is based on the difference between the total sound pressure level in the room when the noise source is working, and the background noise level. The allowable difference must decrease with the value of the background noise level. The measured sound pressure level is corrected according to the type of noise and to the acoustical characteristics of the room; impulsive noises should not be present in the system.At present this Draft Proposal, which has been developed by a Working Group of the Italian Standard Institution (UNI), is under discussion.  相似文献
