A review of recent published data on low velocity jet noise is given together with previously unpublished results taken from the Rolls-Royce Noise Research Programme on model rigs and full-scale engines. Noise correlations are given which show that at low jet velocities, the low frequency exhaust noise which is commonly referred to as jet noise, emitted from the fan stream of a turbofan engine is considerably lower in level than that from the (hot) centre stream. From this result, a new prediction procedure for coaxial jet noise of turbofan engines is then developed. Comparisons are given which show that this method gives good correlation with measured results from a number of full-scale turbofan engines. The importance of accurate estimation of the “ground reflection effect” is clearly demonstrated. A critical review of published jet noise data from model coaxial jets is given and the need for further extensive testing emphasized.  相似文献

利用溢流恒压装置产生具有稳定出流速度的圆管潜射流, 结合染色液流态显示方法, 在多种射流无量纲潜深d/H、雷诺数Re以及限制数C的组合下, 实验研究了该潜射流动量在有限深密度均匀流体中的演化特性, 其中d为射流潜深, H为水深. 研究表明, 当C<1时潜射流表现为深水特征, 而当1≤ C<2时潜射流表现为过渡特征, 在这两种情况下均不产生任何形式的大尺度相干结构; 当2≤ C<10时潜射流表现为浅水特征, 而C≥10时潜射流表现为极浅水特征, 在这两种情况下均产生大尺度的偶极子涡结构. 对极浅水特征潜射流, 在各种无量纲潜深下, 偶极子涡结构的无量纲形成时间tf*与无量纲射流时间Tinj*均满足相同的正比例关系; 对浅水特征潜射流, 当d/H=0.5时, tf*与Tinj*满足某种线性关系, 但对其他无量纲潜深, tf*与Tinj*之间无明显规律. 关键词: 圆管潜射流 限制数 偶极子涡结构 形成时间  相似文献

Acceleration noise levels generated by a random repeated impact process have been predicted and compared with experimental measurements. The process consisted of a ball bouncing on a randomly vibrating surface, and is an idealized representation of random impact phenomena which can occur in machinery and transportation systems where a rolling element is in intermittent contact with the rolling surface. Predictions of the magnitudes of impacts and the times between them have been used in conjunction with established acoustic theory to estimate acceleration noise levels generated by the impacting ball. Measured sound pressure levels were in excellent agreement with the predicted levels.  相似文献

Water bells appear when a cylindrical liquid jet impacts normally onto a disk of similar diameter. First observed and described experimentally by F. Savart, their stationary shape was analytically obtained by J. Boussinesq. Here we consider the stability of these bells and derive a general stability criterion showing their sensitivity both to the pressure difference across the liquid sheet and to the ejection angle from the impacting disk. In this later case, we find a critical angle of ejection above which the bell is periodically destroyed and created.  相似文献

We analyze the behavior of the discharge in a coaxial plasma jet accelerator with a pulsed supply of the working gas released by an electric discharge from titanium hydride powder. Radiation (varying with time) from the discharge in the accelerator was detected using an optical method through a narrow slit cut along the outer electrode by a Bifo Company K008 streak camera. Stable operation of the source with the highest kinetic energy of a pure hydrogen plasma jet was attained for a relatively uniform glow of the discharge along the accelerator during the entire current pulse. Conversely, local glow of the discharge at the outlet or inlet of the accelerator considerably contaminated the discharge with impurities, and the kinetic energy of the plasma jet decreased by an order of magnitude. The highest energy of the plasma jet was attained when the polarity of the electrodes was the same as at the plasma focus.  相似文献

As a kind of special acoustic field, the helical wavefront of an acoustic vortex(AV) beam is demonstrated to have a pressure zero with phase singularity at the center in the transverse plane. The orbital angular momentum of AVs can be applied to the field of particle manipulation, which attracts more and more attention in acoustic researches. In this paper,by using the simplified circular array of point sources, dual coaxial AV beams are excited by the even-and odd-numbered sources with the topological charges of l_E and l_O based on the phase-coded approach, and the composite acoustic field with an on-axis center-AV and multiple off-axis sub-AVs can be generated by the superimposition of the AV beams for|l_E| ≠ |l_O|. The generation of edge phase dislocation is theoretically derived and numerically analyzed for l_E=-l_O. The numbers and the topological charges as well as the locations of the center-AV and sub-AVs are demonstrated, which are proved to be determined by the topological charges of the coaxial AV beams. The proposed approach breaks through the limit of only one on-axis AV with a single topological charge along the beam axis, and also provides the feasibility of off-axis particle trapping with multiple AVs in object manipulation.  相似文献

The influence of the position of a supersonic jet source relative to a flat plate and of the size of a hole on it on the amplitude and frequency of shock wave oscillations is numerically investigated by integrating 2D Navier-Stokes equations using the predictor-corrector scheme of the second-order accuracy in time and space. Depending on the source-plate distance, an increase in the hole size raises or lowers the oscillation frequency. The oscillation amplitude decreases with increasing hole size.  相似文献

Noise measured above a high-speed railway train indicates that aerodynamically generated noise may be quite significant at high vehicle speeds. The radiation of internal (or core) noise for aircraft turbojet or turbofan engines is studied analytically. The geometry of a typical engine is simplified for analytical considerations to a hemispherical shell with a jet flow and internal sound emanating through a circular hole on the axis. A linearized theory is used to derive a flow modified spherical wave equation. A forced separation technique is used to produce a modified Legendre equation describing the angular variation of the acoustic radiation field. Then a numerical technique is described for obtaining a general field solution by progressively imposing continuity of pressure across hemispherical shells as the solution is marched from near field to the far field. In a companion paper, numerical results are presented and compared with experimental results from a test configuration identical to that described by the theory.  相似文献

In this paper, a temporal linear stability analysis is performed of a coaxial jet composed of two immiscible liquids inside a coaxial electrode. This analysis is carried out to investigate the case of an inner driving coaxial electrospray system. The assumption is made that the inner liquid has high electric conductivity, and the outer liquid is an insulating dielectric. The dimensionless dispersion equation for both the axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric modes is derived and solved numerically for the axisymmetric case. The effects of the relevant dimensionless parameters on the instability of the jet are discussed in detail. These parameters include the dimensionless electrostatic force E, the dielectric constant ratio ε, the diameter ratios a and b, the velocity ratio Λ, the density ratio S, the Weber number, and the interface tension ratio ζ. Two independent unstable modes, modes 1 and 2, are found and analyzed. Among the various parameters, the dimensionless electrostatic force and the dielectric constant have a similar and remarkable influence on modes 1 and 2, altering drastically the regime of the jet as they vary. The interface tension on the outer interface promotes the instability of both modes 1 and 2 in the region of long wavelengths while suppressing the growth rate in the region characterized by short wavelengths. The interface tension on the inner interface, however, promotes instability of only mode 2 in the same way. The diameter ratio a has a great effect on mode 2 while a negligible influence on mode 1. And the diameter ratio b has a slight effect on both the unstable modes.  相似文献

The emission properties of an atmospheric-pressure helium plasma jet generated by a barrier discharge in a capillary blown with helium are studied. The spectral composition of the radiation of the studied plasma jet and the spatial-spectral distribution of its intensity are investigated in detail. It is shown that the emission spectrum of the generated plasma jet outside the capillary consists mainly of electronic-vibrational transitions of the first negative system of ionized nitrogen molecules N 2 + (B 2Σ u + X 2Σ g + ) and the second positive system of neutral nitrogen molecules N2(C 3Π u B 3Π g ).  相似文献

When sinusoidal amplitude modulation (SAM) is applied to noise or tone carriers, the stimuli can generate audible distortion products in the region of the modulation frequency. As a result, when bandpass-filtered SAM noise is used to investigate temporal processing, a band of unmodulated noise is typically positioned at the modulation frequency to mask any distortion products. This study was designed to investigate the distortion products for bandpass noise carriers, and so reduce ambiguity about the form of this distortion and its role in perception. The distortion consists of two distortion-noise bands and a distortion tone at the modulation frequency. In the first two experiments, the level and phase of the distortion tone are measured using two different experimental paradigms. In the third experiment, modulation-frequency difference limens are measured for filtered SAM noise and it is shown that performance deteriorates markedly when the distortion tone is canceled. In a fourth experiment, masked threshold is measured at low frequencies for bands of high-frequency, unmodulated noise with the same levels and spectra as the SAM noises in the earlier experiments. The results confirm that unmodulated noise also produces quadratic distortion which may explain some aspects of earlier reports on remote masking.  相似文献

We have analyzed the dissipative effect of the entangled photons generated by a nonlinear optical ring resonator from a non-degenerate four-wave mixing (FWM) process. The system and reservoir Hamiltonian are established in the interaction picture. To eliminate the reservoir operators, the Markov approximation is used and result them in a Linblad form in the master equation. Consequently, the positive P representation can recast this equation to the Fokker-Planck equation, and then the stochastic differential equations i.e., the entangled photon state equation of motion for photons propagating in the fiber, are obtained and easy to analyze numerically. Results obtained have shown that the entangled strength measurement depends on three main factors; first the nonlinear susceptibility of the third harmonic generation, second the damping rate that represents loss of energy from the system to the reservoir, and final the diffusion of fluctuations in the reservoir into the entangled photon modes.  相似文献

等离子体驱动微小碎片加速器是地面模拟空间微小碎片超高速撞击实验的装置, 决定其加速效果的是加速器同轴枪内等离子体轴向速度. 采用发射光谱法研究等离子体轴向速度随放电电压和工作气体压强的变化关系. 实验结果揭示:轴向速度随着放电电压的增大线性增加,随工作气压的增大而缓慢减小, 与数值模拟结果符合.为进一步提高等离子体轴向速度,优化加速器提供了可靠依据.  相似文献
