Developing strong visible‐light‐absorbing (SVLA) earth‐abundant photosensitizers (PSs) for significantly improving the utilization of solar energy is highly desirable, yet it remains a great challenge. Herein, we adopt a through‐bond energy transfer (TBET) strategy by bridging boron dipyrromethene (Bodipy) and a CuI complex with an electronically conjugated bridge, resulting in the first SVLA CuI PSs ( Cu‐2 and Cu‐3 ). Cu‐3 has an extremely high molar extinction coefficient of 162 260 m ?1 cm?1 at 518 nm, over 62 times higher than that of traditional CuI PS ( Cu‐1 ). The photooxidation activity of Cu‐3 is much greater than that of Cu‐1 and noble‐metal PSs (Ru(bpy)32+ and Ir(ppy)3+) for both energy‐ and electron‐transfer reactions. Femto‐ and nanosecond transient absorption and theoretical investigations demonstrate that a “ping‐pong” energy‐transfer process in Cu‐3 involving a forward singlet TBET from Bodipy to the CuI complex and a backward triplet‐triplet energy transfer greatly contribute to the long‐lived and Bodipy‐localized triplet excited state.  相似文献

The title compound, {[Cu(NH3)4][Cu(CN)3]2}n, features a CuI–CuII mixed‐valence CuCN framework based on {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layers and [Cu(NH3)4]2+ cations. The asymmetric unit contains two different CuI ions and one CuII ion which lies on a centre of inversion. Each CuI ion is coordinated to three cyanide ligands with a distorted trigonal–planar geometry, while the CuII ion is ligated by four ammine ligands, with a distorted square‐planar coordination geometry. The interlinkage between CuI ions and cyanide bridges produces a honeycomb‐like {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layer containing 18‐membered planar [Cu(CN)]6 metallocycles. A [Cu(NH3)4]2+ cation fills each metallocyclic cavity within pairs of exactly superimposed {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layers, but there are no cations between the layers of adjacent pairs, which are offset. Pairs of N—H...N hydrogen‐bonding interactions link the N—H groups of the ammine ligands to the N atoms of cyanide ligands.  相似文献

6,6′′‐Bis(2,4,6‐trimethylanilido)terpyridine (H2TpyNMes) was prepared as a rigid, tridentate pincer ligand containing pendent anilines as hydrogen bond donor groups in the secondary coordination sphere. The coordination geometry of (H2TpyNMes)copper(I)‐halide (Cl, Br and I) complexes is dictated by the strength of the NH–halide hydrogen bond. The CuICl and CuIICl complexes are nearly isostructural, the former presenting a highly unusual square‐planar geometry about CuI. The geometric constraints provided by secondary interactions are reminiscent of blue copper proteins where a constrained geometry, or entatic state, allows for extremely rapid CuI/CuII electron‐transfer self‐exchange rates. Cu(H2TpyNMes)Cl shows similar fast electron transfer (≈105 m ?1 s?1) which is the same order of magnitude as biological systems.  相似文献

With the ever‐increasing concerns on environmental pollution and energy crisis, it is of great urgency to develop high‐performance photocatalyst to eliminate organic pollutants from wastewater and produce hydrogen via water splitting. Herein, a polypyridyl‐based mixed covalent CuI/II complex with triangular {Cu3} and rhombic {Cu2Cl4} subunits alternately extended by mixed SCN and Cl heterobridges [Cu4(DNP)(SCN)Cl4]n ( 1 ) [DNP = 2,6‐bis(1,8‐naphthyridine‐2‐yl)pyridine] was solvothermally synthesized and employed as a dual‐functional co‐photocatalyst. Resulting from a narrowed band‐gap of 1.07 eV with suitable redox potential and unsaturated CuI/II sites, the complex together with H2O2 can effectively degrade Rhodamine B and methyl orange up to 87.4 and 88.2 %, respectively. Meanwhile, the complex mixed with H2PtCl6 can also accelerate the photocatalytic water splitting in the absence of a photosensitizer with the hydrogen production rate of 27.5 μmol · g–1 · h–1. These interesting findings may provide informative hints for the design of the multiple responsive photocatalysts.  相似文献

The complex [Ni(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) is an active catalyst for visible‐light‐driven H2 production from water when employed with [Ir(dfppy)2(Hdcbpy)] [dfppy=2‐(3,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine, Hdcbpy=4‐carboxy‐2,2′‐bipyridine‐4′‐carboxylate] as the photosensitizer and triethanolamine as the sacrificial electron donor. The highest turnover number of 520 with respect to the nickel(II) catalyst is obtained in a 8:2 acetonitrile/water solution at pH 9. The H2‐evolution system is more stable after the addition of an extra free bpy ligand, owing to faster catalyst regeneration. The photocatalytic results demonstrate that the nickel(II) polypyridyl catalyst can act as a more effective catalyst than the commonly utilized [Co(bpy)3]2+. This study may offer a new paradigm for constructing simple and noble‐metal‐free catalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen production.  相似文献

The reaction of 2,2′‐Bis(2N‐(1,1′,3,3′‐tetramethyl‐guanidino))diphenylene‐amine (TMG2PA) ( 1 ) with CuI in MeCN results in the formation of [CuII(TMG2PAamid)I] ( 2 ) indicatingthat CuI is the target of an oxidative attack of the N‐H proton of the ligand which itself is converted to molecular hydrogen. In contrast, if [Cu(MeCN)4][PF6] is used as the CuI source, [CuI2(TMGbenz)2][PF6]2 ( 3 ) is obtained instead. The use of the non‐coordinating counterion [PF6] apparently prevents CuI from oxidation but induces itself a cyclisation reaction within the ligand which results in the formation of a benzimidazole‐guanidine ligand.  相似文献

In the title metal–organic framework complex, {[Cu(C4H4N2)2](C8H5O7S)·H2O}n or {[CuI(pyz)2](H2SIP)·H2O}n (pyz is pyrazine and H3SIP is 5‐sulfoisophthalic acid or 3,5‐dicarboxybenzenesulfonic acid), the asymmetric unit is composed of one copper(I) center, one whole pyrazine ligand, two half pyrazine ligands lying about inversion centres, one H2SIP anion and one lattice water molecule, wherein each CuI atom is in a slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination environment completed by four pyrazine N atoms, with the Cu—N bond lengths in the range 2.017 (3)–2.061 (3) Å. The structure features a three‐dimensional diamondoid network with one‐dimensional channels occupied by H2SIP anions and lattice water molecules. Interestingly, the guest–water hydrogen‐bonded network is also a diamondoid network, which interpenetrates the metal–pyrazine network.  相似文献

We report a very efficient homogeneous system for the visible‐light‐driven hydrogen production in pure aqueous solution at room temperature. This comprises [RhIII(dmbpy)2Cl2]Cl ( 1 ) as catalyst, [Ru(bpy)3]Cl2 ( PS1 ) as photosensitizer, and ascorbate as sacrificial electron donor. Comparative studies in aqueous solutions also performed with other known rhodium catalysts, or with an iridium photosensitizer, show that 1) the PS1 / 1 /ascorbate/ascorbic acid system is by far the most active rhodium‐based homogeneous photocatalytic system for hydrogen production in a purely aqueous medium when compared to the previously reported rhodium catalysts, Na3[RhI(dpm)3Cl] and [RhIII(bpy)Cp*(H2O)]SO4 and 2) the system is less efficient when [IrIII(ppy)2(bpy)]Cl ( PS2 ) is used as photosensitizer. Because catalyst 1 is the most efficient rhodium‐based H2‐evolving catalyst in water, the performance limits of this complex were further investigated by varying the PS1 / 1 ratio at pH 4.0. Under optimal conditions, the system gives up to 1010 turnovers versus the catalyst with an initial turnover frequency as high as 857 TON h?1. Nanosecond transient absorption spectroscopy measurements show that the initial step of the photocatalytic H2‐evolution mechanism is a reductive quenching of the PS1 excited state by ascorbate, leading to the reduced form of PS1 , which is then able to reduce [RhIII(dmbpy)2Cl2]+ to [RhI(dmbpy)2]+. This reduced species can react with protons to yield the hydride [RhIII(H)(dmbpy)2(H2O)]2+, which is the key intermediate for the H2 production.  相似文献

The structure of the title compound, [NiCu(CN)4(C10H8N2)(H2O)2]n or [{Cu(H2O)2}(μ‐C10H8N2)(μ‐CN)2{Ni(CN)2}]n, was shown to be a metal–organic cyanide‐bridged framework, composed essentially of –Cu–4,4′‐bpy–Cu–4,4′‐bpy–Cu– chains (4,4′‐bpy is 4,4′‐bipyridine) linked by [Ni(CN)4]2− anions. Both metal atoms sit on special positions; the CuII atom occupies an inversion center, while the NiII atom of the cyanometallate sits on a twofold axis. The 4,4′‐bpy ligand is also situated about a center of symmetry, located at the center of the bridging C—C bond. The scientific impact of this structure lies in the unique manner in which the framework is built up. The arrangement of the –Cu–4,4′‐bpy–Cu–4,4′‐bpy–Cu– chains, which are mutually perpendicular and non‐intersecting, creates large channels running parallel to the c axis. Within these channels, the [Ni(CN)4]2− anions coordinate to successive CuII atoms, forming zigzag –Cu—N[triple‐bond]C—Ni—C[triple‐bond]N—Cu– chains. In this manner, a three‐dimensional framework structure is constructed. To the authors' knowledge, this arrangement has not been observed in any of the many copper(II)–4,4′‐bipyridine framework complexes synthesized to date. The coordination environment of the CuII atom is completed by two water molecules. The framework is further strengthened by O—H...N hydrogen bonds involving the water molecules and the symmetry‐equivalent nonbridging cyanide N atoms.  相似文献

The title complex, [Cu(C6H4N3)]n, was synthesized by the reaction of cupric nitrate, 1H‐benzotriazole (BTAH) and aqueous ammonia under hydrothermal conditions. The asymmetric unit contains three crystallographically independent CuI cations and two 1H‐benzotriazolate ligands. Two of the CuI cations, one with a linear two‐coordinated geometry and one with a four‐coordinated tetrahedral geometry, are located on sites with crystallographically imposed twofold symmetry. The third CuI cation, with a planar three‐coordinated geometry, is on a general position. Two CuI cations are doubly bridged by two BTA ligands to afford a noncentrosymmetric planar [Cu2(BTA)2] subunit, and two [Cu2(BTA)2] subunits are arranged in an antiparallel manner to form a centrosymmetric [Cu2(BTA)2]2 secondary building unit (SBU). The SBUs are connected in a crosswise manner via the sharing of four‐coordinated CuI cations, Cu—N bonding and bridging by two‐coordinate CuI cations, resulting in a one‐dimensional chain along the c axis. These one‐dimensional chains are further linked by C—H...π and weak van der Waals interactions to form a three‐dimensional supramolecular architecture.  相似文献

Compounds containing copper(I) are of interest for their role in biological processes. The nature of short (< ∼3.2 Å) Cu...Cu contacts within these compounds has been debated, being either described as weakly attractive (bonding) `cuprophilic' interactions, or simply as short metal–metal distances constrained by ligand geometry or largely ionic in nature. The title three‐dimensional Cu+‐containing coordination polymer, [Cu3(C7H7N2O2)Cl2]n, was formed from the in situ reduction of CuCl2 in the presence of 3,5‐diaminobenzoic acid and KOH under hydrothermal conditions. Its complex crystal structure contains ten distinct CuI atoms, two of which lie on crystallographic inversion centres. The copper coordination geometries include near‐linear CuOCl and CuN2, T‐shaped CuOCl2 and distorted tetrahedral CuOCl3 groups. Each CuI atom is also associated with two adjacent metal atoms, with Cu...Cu distances varying from 2.7350 (14) to 3.2142 (13) Å; if all these are regarded as `cuprophilic' interactions, then infinite [01] zigzag chains of CuI atoms occur in the crystal. The structure is consolidated by N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

In the polymeric title compound, [CuI(C10H8N4)]n, the CuI atom is in a four‐coordinated tetrahedral geometry, formed by two I atoms and two pyridine N atoms from two different 4,4′‐(diazenediyl)dipyridine (4,4′‐azpy) ligands. Two μ2‐I atoms link two CuI atoms to form a planar rhomboid [Cu2I2] cluster located on an inversion centre, where the distance between two CuI atoms is 2.7781 (15) Å and the Cu—I bond lengths are 2.6290 (13) and 2.7495 (15) Å. The bridging 4,4′‐azpy ligands connect the [Cu2I2] clusters into a two‐dimensional (2‐D) double‐layered grid‐like network [parallel to the (10) plane], with a (4,4)‐connected topology. Two 2‐D grid‐like networks interweave each other by long 4,4′‐azpy bridging ligands to form a dense 2‐D double‐layered network. To the best of our knowledge, this interwoven 2‐D→2‐D network is observed for the first time in [Cu2I2]–organic compounds.  相似文献

Z‐scheme water splitting is a promising approach based on high‐performance photocatalysis by harvesting broadband solar energy. Its efficiency depends on the well‐defined interfaces between two semiconductors for the charge kinetics and their exposed surfaces for chemical reactions. Herein, we report a facile cation‐exchange approach to obtain compounds with both properties without the need for noble metals by forming Janus‐like structures consisting of γ‐MnS and Cu7S4 with high‐quality interfaces. The Janus‐like γ‐MnS/Cu7S4 structures displayed dramatically enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production rates of up to 718 μmol g−1 h−1 under full‐spectrum irradiation. Upon further integration with an MnOx oxygen‐evolution cocatalyst, overall water splitting was accomplished with the Janus structures. This work provides insight into the surface and interface design of hybrid photocatalysts, and offers a noble‐metal‐free approach to broadband photocatalytic hydrogen production.  相似文献

Rational regulation of electronic structures and functionalities of framework materials still remains challenging. Herein, reaction of 4,4′,4′′-nitrilo-tribenzhydrazide with tris(μ2-4-carboxaldehyde-pyrazolato-N,N′)-tricopper (Cu3Py3) generates the crystalline copper organic framework USTB-11(Cu). Post-modification with divalent nickel ions affords the heterometallic framework USTB-11(Cu,Ni). Powder X-ray diffraction and theoretical simulations reveal their two-dimensional hexagonal structure geometry. A series of advanced spectroscopic techniques disclose the mixed CuI/CuII state nature of Cu3Py3 in USTB-11(Cu,Ni) with a uniform bistable Cu34+(CuI2CuII) : Cu35+(CuICuII2) (ca. 1 : 3) oxidation state, resulting in a significantly improved formation efficiency of the charge-separation state. This endows the Ni sites with enhanced activity and USTB-11(Cu,Ni) with outstanding photocatalytic CO2 to CO performance with a conversion rate of 22 130 μmol g−1 h−1 and selectivity of 98 %.  相似文献

The intrinsic binding ability of 7 natural peptides (oxytocin, arg8‐vasopressin, bradykinin, angiotensin‐I, substance‐P, somatostatin, and neurotensin) with copper in 2 different oxidation states (CuI/II) derived from different Cu+/2+ precursor sources have been investigated for their charge‐dependent binding characteristics. The peptide‐CuI/II complexes, [M − (n‐1)H + nCuI] and [M − (2n‐1)H + nCuII], are prepared/generated by the reaction of peptides with CuI solution/Cu‐target and CuSO4 solution and are analyzed by using matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry. The MALDI mass spectra of both [M − (n‐1)H + nCuI] and [M − (2n‐1)H + nCuII] complexes show no mass shift due to the loss of ─H atoms in the main chain ─NH of these peptides by Cu+ and Cu2+ deprotonation. The measured m/z value indicates the reduction of CuI/II oxidation state into Cu0 during MALDI processes. The number and relative abundance of Cu+ bound to the peptides are greater compared with the Cu2+ bound peptides. Oxytocin, arg8‐vasopressin, bradykinin, substance‐P, and somatostatin show the binding of 5Cu+, and angiotensin‐I and neurotensin show the binding of 7Cu+ from both CuI and Cu targets, while bradykinin shows the binding of 2Cu2+, oxytocin, arg8‐vasopressin, angiotensin‐I, and substance‐P; somatostatin shows the binding of 3Cu2+; and neurotensin shows 4Cu2+ binding. The binding of more Cu+ with these small peptides signifies that the bonding characteristics of both Cu+ and Cu2+ are different. The amino acid residues responsible for the binding of both Cu+ and Cu2+ in these peptides have been identified based on the density functional theory computed binding energy values of Cu+ and the fragment transformation method predicted binding preference of Cu2+ for individual amino acids.  相似文献

In the title novel mixed‐valence copper complex, {[Cu2(C8H2NO6)(C10H8N2)]·H2O}n, the CuI and CuII ions are linked by 4,4′‐bipyridine (bpy) and pyridine‐2,4,6‐tricarboxylate (ptc) ligands into corrugated layers, which are assembled via interlayer C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds to give a three‐dimensional supramolecular architecture.  相似文献

The title compound, [CuNa(C4H3O7S)(C10H8N2)(H2O)3]n, consists of one CuII cation, one NaI cation, one 2‐sulfonatobutanedioate trianion (SSC3−), one 2,2′‐bipyridyl (bpy) ligand and three coordinated water molecules as the building unit. The coordination of the CuII cation is composed of two pyridyl N atoms, one water O atom and two carboxylate O atoms in a distorted square‐pyramidal coordination geometry with an axial elongation. The NaI cation is six‐coordinated by three water molecules and three carboxylate O atoms from three SSC3− ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. Two SSC3− ligands link two CuII cations to form a Cu2(SSC)2(bpy)2 macrocyclic unit lying across an inversion centre, which is further linked by NaI cations via Na—O bonds to give a one‐dimensional chain. Interchain hydrogen bonds link these chains to form a two‐dimensional layer, which is further extended into a three‐dimensional supramolecular framework through π–π stacking interactions. The thermal stability of the title compound has also been investigated.  相似文献

Based on the newly designed ligand 4′‐(3,5‐dicarboxyphenyl)‐4,2′:6′,4′′‐terpyridine (DCTP), a unique semi‐conductive 3D framework {[CuΙCuΙΙ2(DCTP)2]NO3?1.5 DMF}n ( 1 ) with a narrow band gap of 2.1 eV, was obtained and structurally characterized. DFT calculations with van de Waals correction employed to explore the electronic structure of 1 , clearly revealed its semi‐conductive behavior. Furthermore, we found that 1 exhibits a superior band alignment with water to produce hydrogen and degrade organic pollutants. Without adding any photosensitizers, 1 displays an efficiently photocatalytic hydrogen production in water based on the photo‐generated electrons under UV/Vis light. 1 also exhibits excellent photo‐degradation of methyl blue under visible‐light owing to the strong oxidization of excited holes. It is the first example of MOFs with doubly photocatalytic activities related to photo‐generated electrons and holes, respectively.  相似文献

{Cu(bpy)(H2O)2(BF4)2(bpy)} (Cu‐MOF; MOF=metal–organic framework; bpy=4,4′‐bipyridine), with a 3D‐interpenetrated structure and saturated Cu coordination sites in the framework, possesses unexpectedly high activity in the ring‐opening reaction of epoxides with MeOH, although the reaction rate drops remarkably with more bulky alcohols. This (apparent) size selection and the single Cu2+ sites in an identical environment of the crystalline matrix resemble zeolites. The real nature of active sites was investigated by attenuated total reflection infrared (ATR‐IR), Raman, EPR, and UV/Vis spectroscopies. Cu‐MOF has highly dynamic structural properties that respond to MeOH; its framework dimensions change from 3D to 2D by restructuring to a symmetric coordination of four bpy units to Cu. This interaction is accompanied by the partial dissolution of Cu‐MOF as multi‐Cu clusters, in which Cu2+ ions are connected with bpy ligands. Although both molecular and surface catalysis contribute to the high rate of alcoholysis, the soluble oligomeric species (Cumbpyn) are far more active. Finally, addition of diethyl ether to the reaction mixture induces the reconstruction of dissolved and solid Cu‐MOF to the original framework structure, thereby allowing excellent recyclability of Cu‐MOF as an apparent heterogeneous catalyst. In contrast, the original Cu‐MOF structure is maintained upon contact with larger alcohols, such as iPrOH and tBuOH, thus leading to poor activity in epoxide ring opening.  相似文献

The propulsion of photocatalytic hydrogen (H2) production is limited by the rational design and regulation of catalysts with precise structures and excellent activities. In this work, the [MoOS3]2− unit is introduced into the CuI clusters to form a series of atomically-precise MoVI−CuI bimetallic clusters of [Cu6(MoOS3)2(C6H5(CH2)S)2(P(C6H4R)3)4] ⋅ xCH3CN (R=H, CH3, or F), which show high photocatalytic H2 evolution activities and excellent stability. By electron push-pull effects of the surface ligand, highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) levels of these MoVI−CuI clusters can be finely tuned, promoting the resultant visible-light-driven H2 evolution performance. Furthermore, MoVI−CuI clusters loaded onto the surface of magnetic Fe3O4 carriers significantly reduced the loss of catalysts in the collection process, efficiently addressing the recycling issues of such small cluster-based catalyst. This work not only highlights a competitively universal approach on the design of high-efficiency cluster photocatalysts for energy conversion, but also makes it feasible to manipulate the catalytic performance of clusters through a rational substituent strategy.  相似文献
