Compositing amorphous TiO2 with nitrogen‐doped carbon through Ti? N bonding to form an amorphous TiO2/N‐doped carbon hybrid (denoted a‐TiO2/C? N) has been achieved by a two‐step hydrothermal–calcining method with hydrazine hydrate as an inhibitor and nitrogen source. The resultant a‐TiO2/C? N hybrid has a surface area as high as 108 m2 g?1 and, when used as an anode material, exhibits a capacity as high as 290.0 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 1 C and a reversible capacity over 156 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 10 C after 100 cycles; these results are better than those found in most reports on crystalline TiO2. This superior electrochemical performance could be ascribed to a combined effect of several factors, including the amorphous nature, porous structure, high surface area, and N‐doped carbon.  相似文献

Sustainable carbon materials have received particular attention in CO2 capture and storage owing to their abundant pore structures and controllable pore parameters. Here, we report high‐surface‐area hierarchically porous N‐doped carbon microflowers, which were assembled from porous nanosheets by a three‐step route: soft‐template‐assisted self‐assembly, thermal decomposition, and KOH activation. The hydrazine hydrate used in our experiment serves as not only a nitrogen source, but also a structure‐directing agent. The activation process was carried out under low (KOH/carbon=2), mild (KOH/carbon=4) and severe (KOH/carbon=6) activation conditions. The mild activated N‐doped carbon microflowers (A‐NCF‐4) have a hierarchically porous structure, high specific surface area (2309 m2 g?1), desirable micropore size below 1 nm, and importantly large micropore volume (0.95 cm3 g?1). The remarkably high CO2 adsorption capacities of 6.52 and 19.32 mmol g?1 were achieved with this sample at 0 °C (273 K) and two pressures, 1 bar and 20 bar, respectively. Furthermore, this sample also exhibits excellent stability during cyclic operations and good separation selectivity for CO2 over N2.  相似文献

Nitrogen‐doped species (NDs) are theoretically accepted as a determinant of the catalytic activity of metal‐free N‐doped carbon (NC) catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). However, direct relationships between ND type and ORR activity have been difficult to extract because the complexity of carbon matrix impairs efforts to expose specific NDs. Herein, we demonstrate the fabrication of a 3D hierarchically porous NC catalyst with micro‐, meso‐, and macroporosity in one structure, in which sufficient exposure and availability of inner‐pore catalytic sites can be achieved due to its super‐high surface area (2191 cm2 g?1) and interconnected pore system. More importantly, in‐situ formation of graphitic‐N species (GNs) on the surface of NC stimulated by KOH activation enables us to experimentally reveal the catalytic nature of GNs for ORR, which is of great significance for the design and development of advanced metal‐free NC electrocatalysts.  相似文献

In this study, the electrocatalytic characteristics of nitrogen‐doped carbon (NDC) prepared from Clerodendrum Infortunatum L leaves on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface was evaluated with regards to its ability to detect the electroactive drug ketoconazole (KCZ). The NDC was prepared by carrying out a simple pyrolysis of dry powder of the leaves at 850 °C. The prepared NDC was characterized using field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Brunauer‐Emmett‐Teller analysis, and was then used as an electrode material. The performance of the electrochemical KCZ sensor with the NDC‐modified glassy carbon electrode (NDC/GCE) was found to be optimal when using PBS buffer at pH 3 and a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml of NDC in the conjugate with Nafion polymer. Under these conditions, the NDC/GCE displayed a KCZ detection limit of 3 μM and a linear dependence of its response on KCZ concentration over a wide range of KCZ concentrations from 47 μM to 752 μM (R2=0.9742). These results confirmed the potential of NDC as an electrocatalyst.  相似文献

The title molecule (DMPH‐H), C8H9N5O6, was investigated to provide comparison with 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazine, which unlike DMPH‐H is readily oxidizable to form a well known stable free radical (DPPH). The structure shows essential differences in the configuration of the hydrazine‐N atoms, the ortho‐nitro group orientations and the crystal packing. The bond angles of the dimethylamino N atom [107.90 (13), 108.96 (12) and 112.21 (13)°] are consistent with a tetrahedral N atom and sp3 hybridization.  相似文献

The quantum mechanics (QM) method and grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations are used to study the effect of lithium cation doping on the adsorption and separation of CO2, CH4, and H2 on a twofold interwoven metal–organic framework (MOF), Zn2(NDC)2(diPyNI) (NDC=2,6‐naphthalenedicarboxylate; diPyNI=N,N′‐di‐(4‐pyridyl)‐1,4,5,8‐naphthalenetetracarboxydiimide). Second‐order Moller–Plesset (MP2) calculations on the (Li+–diPyNI) cluster model show that the energetically most favorable lithium binding site is above the pyridine ring side at a distance of 1.817 Å from the oxygen atom. The results reveal that the adsorption capacity of Zn2(NDC)2(diPyNI) for carbon dioxide is higher than those of hydrogen and methane at room temperature. Furthermore, GCMC simulations on the structures obtained from QM calculations predict that the Li+‐doped MOF has higher adsorption capacities than the nondoped MOF, especially at low pressures. In addition, the probability density distribution plots reveal that CO2, CH4, and H2 molecules accumulate close to the Li cation site. The selectivity results indicate that CO2/H2 selectivity values in Zn2(NDC)2(diPyNI) are higher than those of CO2/CH4. The selectivity of CO2 over CH4 on Li+‐doped Zn2(NDC)2(diPyNI) is improved relative to the nondoped MOF.  相似文献

Metal‐free heteroatom‐doped carbocatalysts with a high surface area are desirable for catalytic reactions. In this study, we found an efficient strategy to prepare nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur co‐doped hollow carbon shells (denote as NPS‐HCS) with a surface area of 1020 m2 g−1. Using a poly(cyclotriphosphazene‐co‐4,4′‐sulfonyldiphenol) (PZS) shell as carbon source and N, P, S‐doping source, and the ZIF‐67 core as structural template as well as extra N‐doping source, NPS‐HCS were obtained with a high surface area and superhydrophilicity. All these features render the prepared NPS‐HCS a superior metal‐free carbocatalyst for the selective oxidation of aromatic alkanes in aqueous solution. This study provides a reliable and facile route to prepare doped carbocatalysts with enhanced catalytic properties.  相似文献

This work demonstrates a rapid and scalable route for the preparation of N‐doped carbon spheres of 80–120 nm via pyrolysis of polypyrrole as the only carbon and nitrogen source. The resulting porous catalyst has a nitrogen doping level of 6–8 at%. Electrochemical studies show that N‐doped C is very active toward oxygen reduction in alkaline electrolyte and the mechanism of ORR process is controlled by the surface concentration of catalytic active sites that promote either a direct four‐electron or two‐electron process. An interesting observation is that we can generate precursors for the N‐doped carbon with desirable particle size, shape and with the preferential structure (linear polypyrrole from the α? α coupling during slow polymerization or cross‐linked polypyrrole from α? β coupling during fast polymerization) that promotes the formation of favorable catalytic sites for O2 reduction. The XPS analysis in conjunction with RDE voltammetry highlights the effect of polymer precursor synthesis on the chemical structure and a resulting electrochemical activity of the N‐doped carbon materials.  相似文献

Heteroatom‐doped polymers or carbon nanospheres have attracted broad research interest. However, rational synthesis of these nanospheres with controllable properties is still a great challenge. Herein, we develop a template‐free approach to construct cross‐linked polyphosphazene nanospheres with tunable hollow structures. As comonomers, hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene provides N and P atoms, tannic acid can coordinate with metal ions, and the replaceable third comonomer can endow the materials with various properties. After carbonization, N/P‐doped mesoporous carbon nanospheres were obtained with small particle size (≈50 nm) and high surface area (411.60 m2 g?1). Structural characterization confirmed uniform dispersion of the single atom transition metal sites (i.e., Co‐N2P2) with N and P dual coordination. Electrochemical measurements and theoretical simulations revealed the oxygen reduction reaction performance. This work provides a solution for fabricating diverse heteroatom‐containing polymer nanospheres and their derived single metal atom doped carbon catalysts.  相似文献

Mesoporous hollow carbon nanospheres (MHCS) have been extensively studied owning to their unique structural features and diverse potential applications. A surfactant‐free self‐assembly approach between resorcinol/formaldehyde and silicon alkoxide has emerged as an important strategy to prepare MHCS. Extending such a strategy to other substituted phenols to produce heterogeneous‐atom‐doped MHCS remains a challenge due to the very different polymerization kinetics of various resins. Herein, we report an ethylenediamine‐assisted strategy to control the cooperative self‐assembly between a 3‐aminophenol/formaldehyde resin and silica templates. Nitrogen‐doped mesoporous invaginated carbon nanospheres (N‐MICS) with an N content of 6.18 at %, high specific surface areas (up to 1118 m2 g?1), large pore volumes (2.47 cm3 g?1), and tunable mesopores (3.7–11.1 nm) have been prepared. When used as electrical double‐layer supercapacitors, N‐MICS show a high capacitance of 261 F g?1, an outstanding cycling stability (≈94 % capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles), and a good rate performance.  相似文献

Mesoporous silica synthesized from the cocondensation of tetraethoxysilane and silylated carbon dots containing an amide group has been adopted as the carrier for the in situ growth of TiO2 through an impregnation–hydrothermal crystallization process. Benefitting from initial complexation between the titania precursor and carbon dot, highly dispersed anatase TiO2 nanoparticles can be formed inside the mesoporous channel. The hybrid material possesses an ordered hexagonal mesostructure with p6mm symmetry, a high specific surface area (446.27 m2 g?1), large pore volume (0.57 cm3 g?1), uniform pore size (5.11 nm), and a wide absorption band between λ=300 and 550 nm. TiO2 nanocrystals are anchored to the carbon dot through Ti?O?N and Ti?O?C bonds, as revealed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Moreover, the nitrogen doping of TiO2 is also verified by the formation of the Ti?N bond. This composite shows excellent adsorption capabilities for 2,4‐dichlorophenol and acid orange 7, with an electron‐deficient aromatic ring, through electron donor–acceptor interactions between the carbon dot and organic compounds instead of the hydrophobic effect, as analyzed by the contact angle analysis. The composite can be photocatalytically recycled through visible‐light irradiation after adsorption. The narrowed band gap, as a result of nitrogen doping, and the photosensitization effect of carbon dots are revealed to be coresponsible for the visible‐light activity of TiO2. The adsorption capacity does not suffer any clear losses after being recycled three times.  相似文献

Here, carbon nanotube@N‐doped mesoporous carbon (CNT@N‐PC) composites were synthesized by using resorcinol‐formaldehyde resin as carbon source, ionic liquids (ILs) as template, and nitrogen sources and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as assistant agent. The use of ILs‐modified CNT with nitrogen and TEOS facilitated the generation of a richer mesoporous structure. The obtained CNT@N‐PC was composed of a CNT core and mesoporous carbon particles around it. CNT@N‐PC showed a 3D network structure like “dewy cobwebs” and had a high surface area of 857 m2 g?1, uniform pore size distribution (3.0 nm), and suitable N content (4.9 at.%). When used as supercapacitor electrode, the CNT@N‐PC exhibited a high specific capacitance (244 F g?1 at 1 A g?1), good rate capability and favorable capacitance retention (92.5 % capacitive retention after 5000 cycles), demonstrating the potential for application in high‐performance supercapacitors.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of hydrazine at a 1‐benzyl‐4‐ferrocenyl‐1H‐[1,2,3]‐triazole‐triazole/carbon nanotube modified glassy carbon electrode has been studied. The modified electrode shows an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of hydrazine and accelerates electron transfer rate. The electrocatalytic current increases linearly with hydrazine concentration in the range 0.5–700.0 μm and the detection limit for hydrazine was 33.0 ± 2.0 nm . The diffusion coefficient (D = 2.5 ± 0.1 × 10?5 cm2 s?1) and kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient, (α = 0.52) and the heterogeneous rate constant (k′ = 5.5 ± 0.1 × 10?3 cm s?1) for hydrazine were determined using electrochemical approaches. Finally, the method was employed for the determination of hydrazine in water samples. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of hydrazine studied at the surface of a carbon paste electrode spiked with p‐bromanil (tetrabromo‐p‐benzoquinone) using cyclic voltammetry (CV), double potential‐step chronoamperometry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in aqueous media. The results show this quinone derivative modified carbon paste electrode, can catalyze the hydrazine oxidation in an aqueous buffered solution. It has been found that under the optimum conditions (pH 10.00), the oxidation of hydrazine at the surface of this carbon paste modified electrode occurs at a potential of about 550 mV less positive than that of a bar carbon paste electrode. The electrocatalytic oxidation peak current of hydrazine showed a linear dependent on the hydrazine concentrations and linear analytical curves were obtained in the ranges of 6.00×10?5 M–8.00×10?3 M and 7.00×10?6 M–8.00×10?4 M of hydrazine concentration with CV and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) methods, respectively. The detection limits (3σ) were determined as 3.6×10?5 M and 5.2×10?6 M by CV and DPV methods. This method was also used for the determination of hydrazine in the real sample (waste water of the Mazandaran wood and paper factory) by standard addition method.  相似文献

The development of highly efficient metal‐free carbon electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is one very promising strategy for the exploitation and commercialization of renewable and clean energy, but this still remains a significant challenge. Herein, we demonstrate a facile approach to prepare three‐dimensional (3D) N‐doped carbon with a sp3/sp2 carbon interface derived from ionic liquids via a simple pyrolysis process. The tunable hybrid sp3 and sp2 carbon composition and pore structures stem from the transformation of ionic liquids to polymerized organics and introduction of a Co metal salt. Through tuning both composition and pores, the 3D N‐doped nanocarbon with a high sp3/sp2 carbon ratio on the surface exhibits a superior electrocatalytic performance for the ORR compared to that of the commercial Pt/C in Zn–air batteries. Density functional theory calculations suggest that the improved ORR performance can be ascribed to the existence of N dopants at the sp3/sp2 carbon interface, which can lower the theoretical overpotential of the ORR.  相似文献

Fe‐N‐C catalysts with high O2 reduction performance are crucial for displacing Pt in low‐temperature fuel cells. However, insufficient understanding of which reaction steps are catalyzed by what sites limits their progress. The nature of sites were investigated that are active toward H2O2 reduction, a key intermediate during indirect O2 reduction and a source of deactivation in fuel cells. Catalysts comprising different relative contents of FeNx Cy moieties and Fe particles encapsulated in N‐doped carbon layers (0–100 %) show that both types of sites are active, although moderately, toward H2O2 reduction. In contrast, N‐doped carbons free of Fe and Fe particles exposed to the electrolyte are inactive. When catalyzing the ORR, FeNx Cy moieties are more selective than Fe particles encapsulated in N‐doped carbon. These novel insights offer rational approaches for more selective and therefore more durable Fe‐N‐C catalysts.  相似文献

A nitrogen‐doped porous carbon monolith was synthesized as a pseudo‐capacitive electrode for use in alkaline supercapacitors. Ammonia‐assisted carbonization was used to dope the surface with nitrogen heteroatoms in a way that replaced carbon atoms but kept the oxygen content constant. Ammonia treatment expanded the micropore size‐distributions and increased the specific surface area from 383 m2 g?1 to 679 m2 g?1. The nitrogen‐containing porous carbon material showed a higher capacitance (246 F g?1) in comparison with the nitrogen‐free one (186 F g?1). Ex situ electrochemical spectroscopy was used to investigate the evolution of the nitrogen‐containing functional groups on the surface of the N‐doped carbon electrodes in a three‐electrode cell. In addition, first‐principles calculations were explored regarding the electronic structures of different nitrogen groups to determine their relative redox potentials. We proposed possible redox reaction pathways based on the calculated redox affinity of different groups and surface analysis, which involved the reversible attachment/detachment of hydroxy groups between pyridone and pyridine. The oxidation of nitrogen atoms in pyridine was also suggested as a possible reaction pathway.  相似文献

The charge redistribution strategy driven by heteroatom doping or defect engineering has been developed as an efficient method to endow inert carbon with significant oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity. The synergetic effect between the two approaches is thus expected to be more effective for manipulating the charge distribution of carbon materials for exceptional ORR performance. Herein we report a novel molecular design strategy to achieve a 2D porous turbostratic carbon nanomesh with abundant N‐doped carbon defects (NDC). The molecular level integration of aromatic rings as the carbon source and urea units as the N source and sacrificial template into the novel precursor of polyurea (PU) promises the formation of abundant carbon edge defects and N doping sites. A special active site—a carbon edge defect doped with a graphitic valley N atom—was revealed to be responsible for the exceptional ORR performance of NDC material.  相似文献

Nitrogen and phosphorus co‐doped hierarchical micro/mesoporous carbon (N,P‐MMC) was prepared by simple thermal treatment of freeze‐dried okra in the absence of any other additives. The 0.96 wt % of N and 1.47 wt % of P were simultaneously introduced into the graphitic framework of N,P‐MMC, which also possesses hierarchical porous structure with mesopores centered at 3.6 nm and micropores centered at 0.79 nm. Most importantly, N,P‐MMC carbon exhibits excellent catalytic activity for electrocatalytic reduction of H2O2, resulting in a new strategy to construct non‐enzymatic H2O2 sensor. The N,P‐MMC‐based H2O2 sensor displays two linear detection range about 0.1 mM–10 mM (R2=0.9993) and 20 mM–200 mM (R2=0.9989), respectively. The detection limit is estimated to be 6.8 μM at a signal‐to‐noise ratio of 3. These findings provide insights into synthesizing functional heteroatoms doped porous carbon materials for biosensing applications.  相似文献
