Ten examples of unsymmetrically benzannulated, boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (B-PAHs) were prepared by a one-pot protocol using 4,5-dichloro-1,2-bis(trimethylsilyl)benzene ( 1 ), BBr3, and selected PAHs—among them anthracene, benzo[a]pyrene, biphenylene, and fluoranthene. After mesitylation at the boron centers, the resulting air- and water-stable products were investigated by 1H/11B{1H}/13C{1H} NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, cyclic voltammetry, and UV/Vis absorption/emission spectroscopy. The experiments were augmented by DFT calculations. Most of the B-PAHs are brightly luminescent (ΦPL up to 90 %) and undergo reversible reduction at moderate half-wave potentials. The two chloro substituents of 1 are not only mandatory for accomplishing efficient diborylation, but can subsequently be used for Stille-type coupling reactions to introduce 2-thienyl moieties. Alternatively, Cl/H exchange is achievable with HSiEt3 in a quantitative, Pd-catalyzed transformation.  相似文献

Replacing both meso carbon atoms of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) bisanthene by boron atoms creates an efficient blue fluorophore with a strong electron‐accepting character. The corresponding meso‐B,S‐doped bisanthene exhibits a solvent‐dependent green‐to‐orange photoluminescence and undergoes a reversible reduction at E =?2.06 V (vs. FcH/FcH+). After oxidation of the sulfur atom, the resulting sulfoxide emits in the blue range of the spectrum, shows only negligible solvatochromism, and a reversible redox transition at E =?1.74 V. Several related B, N‐ and B, S‐containing PAHs have been prepared following the same modular synthetic procedure and are also described herein. In order to systematically compare their optoelectronic properties, all products have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry as well as UV/Vis absorption/emission spectroscopy.  相似文献

Herein we show that replacing the two meso carbon atoms of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) bisanthene by boron atoms transforms a near‐infrared dye into an efficient blue luminophore. This observation impressively illustrates the impact of boron doping on the frontier orbitals of PAHs. To take full advantage of this tool for the targeted design of organic electronic materials, the underlying structure–property relationships need to be further elucidated. We therefore developed a modular synthesis sequence based on a Peterson olefination, a stilbene‐type photocyclization, and an Si–B exchange reaction to substantially broaden the palette of accessible polycyclic aromatic organoboranes and to permit a direct comparison with their PAH congeners.  相似文献

Nonadiabatic ab initio molecular dynamics simulations are carried out to monitor the attack of CH3+ on aniline in the gas phase to form the corresponding σ complexes. The reaction is ultrafast and is governed by a single electron transfer within 30 fs, which involves two sequential conical intersections and finally produces a radical pair. Positive‐charge allocation in the aromatic compound is found to govern the substitution pattern in ortho, meta, or para position. Although the major products in the first step of the electrophilic aromatic substitution are the ortho and para σ complexes, initially 26 % of the simulated trajectories also form meta complexes, which then undergo H shifts, mainly to the para position.  相似文献

Fluoroarenes bearing no electron‐withdrawing groups (non‐activated fluoroarenes) readily underwent nucleophilic aromatic substitution with α‐cyanocarbanions under microwave irradiation. The sequence (i) formylalkylation involving the cyanoalkylation of fluoroarenes, (ii) difluorovinylidenation, and (iii) Friedel–Crafts‐type cyclization, afforded extended fluoroarenes by one benzene ring per cycle. Furthermore, the performance of multiple cycles successfully provided higher‐order pinpoint‐fluorinated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (F‐PAHs).  相似文献

The synthesis of O‐doped benzorylenes, in which peripheral carbon atoms have been replaced by oxygen atoms, has been achieved for the first time. This includes key high‐yielding ring‐closure steps which, through intramolecular C?O bond formation, allow stepwise planarization of oligonaphthalenes. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction showed that the tetraoxa derivative forms remarkable face‐to‐face π–π stacks in the solid state, a favorable solid‐state arrangement for organic electronics.  相似文献

Infrared absorption spectra of the CH stretching region were observed for naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, pyrene, and perylene using a heated, supersonic, slit‐jet source and cavity ringdown spectroscopy. Band positions and intensities recorded with 0.2‐cm?1 resolution were compared with previous gas‐phase and argon matrix isolation experiments, as well as theoretical calculations. The largest matrix shift in the absorption maximum (‐7.4 cm?1) was observed for anthracene, with all others shifted by 3.0 cm?1 or less. Spectral features in the supersonic jet spectrum were generally narrower than those observed in the Ar matrix, with the largest matrix broadening found for the perylene (80 % increase). Low number densities observed for the larger polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) suggest that the lower vapor pressure of PAHs with catacondensed four‐membered rings and with five‐membered rings other than perylene will not be detectable using our current configuration.  相似文献

The carboarylation reaction of biphenyl-alkynes was successfully triggered by electrophilic attack of 1,1-bis(triflyl)ethylene on the alkyne moiety to give polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) decorated by superacidic carbon acid functionality. Neutralisation of thus obtained acids with NaHCO3 yielded the corresponding sodium salts, which showed improved solubility in both aqueous and organic solvents.  相似文献

The FeCl3-catalysed arylation of C60F18 gives tri-substituted compounds C60F15Ar3, where Ar=phenyl, 4-tolyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, 4-phenoxyphenyl, 4-chlorophenyl, 3,4-dichlorophenyl, 2-biphylenyl and 2-fluorenyl, together with some bis- and mono-substituted product. Bis-substitution was achieved with biphenylene and fluoranthene, and mono-substitution with biphenylene (2-position), pyrene (1-position), and naphthalene (1- and 2-positions); the tris-phenyl and tris-biphenylene derivatives are fluorescent. The 2-naphthyl substituent freely rotates at 328 K, whereas rotation of the 1-naphthyl substituent is prevented by interaction of the peri-hydrogen atom with fluorine. The 1-naphthyl derivative eliminates a molecule of HF during EI mass spectrometry, whilst the 2-naphthyl derivative eliminates HF and all fluorenes to give a naphthaleno[60]fullerene. The reaction rate is relatively unaffected by electron supply in the aryl rings, but no product was obtained with benzotrifluoride which defines the lower reactivity limit. The low discrimination between aromatics makes it possible to isolate derivatives having different aryl groups attached to the cage. Reactions occur mainly when the reagent solutions (or solutions in 1,2-dichlorobenzene) are evaporated to dryness. In most FeCl3-catalysed reactions, unreacted C60F18 was recovered, more if the less effective SnCl4 was used as a catalyst; use of AlCl3 resulted in polyarylation and degradation of the C60F18. The structure of C60F17(1-biphenylyl) was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray analysis. Reaction of C60F18 with perylene/FeCl3/o-dichlorobenzene gave red fluorescent "tagliatelli"-like threads (up to 1 cm long) of self-assembled pi-stacked tetrachloroperylene arising from chlorination by FeCl3.  相似文献

构造了一个包括287种组分和1569个反应的汽油参比燃料TRF(toluene reference fuel)燃烧过程中多环芳香烃(PAHs)生成机理的详细化学反应动力学模型,引入四种PAH生长路径将多环芳香烃的生成机理发展到芘A4(C20H12)水平,并通过对PAH产率的分析,指出乙炔(C2H2)、丙炔(C3H3)、乙烯基乙炔(C4H4)以及含有奇数碳原子的环戊二烯自由基(C5H5)和茚基(C9H7)等物质对PAHs生成和生长起到重要作用.该机理可以较准确计算基础燃料(PRF)和TRF火焰的着火延迟期、燃烧火焰中小分子(PAH前驱体C2H2、C3H4等)和PAHs的物质浓度.通过与实验数据的比较表明,该机理在不同温度、压力、化学计量比下具有较好的性能.由此分析,该机理对碳烟前驱物PAHs的预测性能是可靠的.  相似文献

The (benzenesulfonyl)difluoromethylsulfanyl (PhSO2CF2S) group is a valuable substituent with specific properties which can provide access to new applications of fluoroalkylthiolated compounds. Direct introduction of this moiety can be performed by in an electrophilic manner by using a new shelf‐stable reagent, namely a (benzenesulfonyl)difluoromethanesulfenamide. Furthermore, mild magnesium‐mediated reduction of the PhSO2CF2S group leads to a facile synthesis of difluoromethylthiolated molecules and their deuterated analogs.  相似文献

Current‐density maps are calculated at an ab initio level for the three symmetrical polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, circumcoronene [ 1 (D6h)], hexabenzo[bc,ef,hi,kl,no,qr]coronene [ 2 a (D6h) and 2 b (D3d)], and hexabenzo[a,d,g,j,m,p]coronene [ 3 a (D6h), 3 b (D6) and 3 c (D3d)], all of which can be formally derived by annelation of benzene rings to a coronene core. Whilst 1 is planar, 2 has a non‐planar minimum that is effectively isoenergetic with its planar form, and 3 has a well defined non‐planar structure. The shape of the molecular boundary rather than the planarity of the molecule plays the critical rôle in the character of the predicted currents. Formal deletion of outer hexagons from circumcoronene ( 1 ) in two different ways produces either hexabenzocoronene 2 with a prediction of disjoint local benzenoid diatropic currents linked by a global perimeter, or 3 with a giant diatropic perimeter current enclosing a weak paramagnetic circulation on the central hexagon. The current density map of 1 is effectively a superposition of those of 2 and 3 . Its strong diatropic perimeter current subsumes the six weaker diatropic benzenoid circulations evident in 2 , and bifurcates in the six outer benzenoid rings that form the corners of the giant hexagon; its benzene “hub” sustains a diatropic current, as would be expected from the partial cancellation of the strong diatropic hub current of 2 by the weaker paratropic hub current of 3 . The relationship between the three molecules is rationalised by considering orbital contributions to their current density maps.  相似文献

The solution‐processed fabrication of thin films of organic semiconductors enables the production of cost‐effective, large‐area organic electronic devices under mild conditions. The formation/dissociation of a dynamic B?N coordination bond can be used for the solution‐processed fabrication of semiconducting films of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) materials. The poor solubility of a boron‐containing PAH in chloroform, toluene, and chlorobenzene was significantly improved by addition of minor amounts (1 wt % of solvent) of pyridine derivatives, as their coordination to the boron atom suppresses the inherent propensity of the PAHs to form π‐stacks. Spin‐coating solutions of the thus formed Lewis acid–base complexes resulted in the formation of amorphous thin films, which could be converted into polycrystalline films of the boron‐containing PAH upon thermal annealing. Organic thin‐film transistors prepared by this solution process displayed typical p‐type characteristics.  相似文献

Benzoaceanthrylene analogs with tetracoordinate boron at the ring junction were synthesized through tandem electrophilic C−H borylation of 2,6‐dinaphthylpyridine followed by nucleophilic substitution. Notably, the [5,6]‐annulation occurred selectively over [6,6]‐annulation with the assistance of nitrogen coordination of the pyridine ring. The X‐ray crystallographic analysis revealed the polycyclic skeleton with a distorted tetracoordinate boron atom and a unique packing structure with intermolecular π–π interaction. The photophysical and electrochemical properties of these benzoaceanthrylene analogs were evaluated by UV‐vis spectroscopy and differential pulse voltammetry. The electron affinity of the fluorine‐substituted derivative is estimated to be 3.49 eV from the ionization potential and optical band gap. Thus, this derivative is expected to be a promising n‐type semiconducting material.  相似文献
