The first example of one-pot oxidative anti-Markownikov bromohydroxylation and bromoalkoxylation of Baylis-Hillman (BH) adducts (olefins) is reported. The reaction is performed at rt using LiBr as the bromine source and 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) as the oxidant. The process involves oxidation of BH adducts with IBX to give β-ketomethylene compounds in situ, which undergo highly regioselective vicinal functionalization with LiBr/H2O or LiBr/ROH in the same vessel to afford α-bromo-β-hydroxy or α-bromo-β-alkoxy compounds, respectively, in excellent yields. The α-bromo-β-hydroxy compounds are readily transformed into epoxides in aq NaOH.  相似文献

The tandem Diels-Alder/dehydrochlorination reaction of semisquaric chloride (1) with the 1,2-bis(methylene)cycloalkanes 2a-c and 1,2-bis(methylene)-4-cyclohexene (9) affords the linearly-fused cycloalkanodihydrobenzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 3a-c and 3,4,7,8-tetrahydrocyclobuta[b]-naphthalene-1,2-dione (10), respectively. On treatment with MnO2, 3a-c are dehydrogenated to the respective carbocycle-fused benzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 4a-c in good yields. 3a and 3b react with bromine to give the addition products 5a,b, which, on treatment with silver trifluoroacetate, afford the benzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 4a,b. For preparative purposes, the sequence 3-->5-->4 can be performed advantageously as a "one-pot procedure". Double-condensation reactions of 4a,b with alpha,alpha'-biscyano-o-xylene and o-phenylenediamine afford the pentacyclic biphenylenes 7a,b and the cyclobutahetarenes 8a,b, respectively. These cyclobutenediones suggest themselves as building blocks for the construction of extended linearly-fused polycyclic compounds with novel ring sequences. o-Quinodimethanes 12a-g generated in situ by the thermal decomposition of the respective 1,4-dihydro-2,3-benzoxathiin-3-oxides (sultines) 11a-g react with semisquaric chloride (1) to afford the 3,8-dihydronaphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 13a-g. These, on dehydrogenation with bromine and/or MnO2, furnish the naphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 14a-g in fair to good yields. As described for 4a,b the naphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 14a-c are condensed with alpha,alpha'-biscyano-o-xylene and o-phenylenediamine to furnish the pentacyclic biphenylenes 15a-c and the pentacyclic cyclobutahetarenes 16a-c.  相似文献

A variety of 1,2-amino alcohol diesters 1 reacted smoothly with diethyl chlorophosphate under basic conditions to afford the corresponding 1,2-amino phosphate diesters 2 in excellent yields. Enantiomerically pure (Z)-β-sulfinyl allylic alcohols of either handedness can be readily prepared from (Z)-β-sulfinyl enones using NaBH(4) or DIBAL reductants in the presence of LaCl(3) as a chelating agent. A chiral sulfoxide auxiliary induces the remote 1,2-asymmetric reduction (1,4-induction) to afford various chiral allylic alcohols in high yields with excellent stereoselectivities (up to 100% de).  相似文献

The reduction of a variety of carbonyl compounds was efficiently carried out with NaBH4/DOWEX(R)50WX4 system. The reactions were performed to give the corresponding alcohols derivatives in perfect yields in THF at room temperature. Reduction of acyloins and a‐diketones by this reducing system produced efficiently the corresponding vicinal diols. Also, the reduction of aldehydes over ketones has been accomplished successfully by this system. Regioselectivity of this system was also investigated with exclusive 1,2‐reduction of conjugated carbonyl compounds to their corresponding allylic alcohols in high to excellent yields.  相似文献

A novel synthetic strategy toward the asymmetric synthesis of vicinal diols bearing a tertiary center is presented. The method encompasses the dinuclear Mg-catalyzed asymmetric addition of ethyl diazoacetate into several aldehydes, oxidation of the diazo functionality, and diastereoselective alkyl transfer of various organometallics into the resulting chiral β-hydroxy-α-ketoesters to afford a diverse range of 1,2-diols in high yield, diastereoselectivity, and chirality transfer.  相似文献

1,2-Ethylenebis(triphenylphosphonium)chlorochromate was quantitatively prepared and used for the oxidation of various benzylic and some aliphatic alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds in water or acetonitrile and under microwave irradiation. This new oxidizing agent has advantages over similar oxidants in terms of the amount of used oxidant, short reaction time, simple work-up, and high yields. Furthermore, the oxidation of alcohols occurred under microwave irradiation many times and it produced the corresponding carbonyl compounds with high yields and short reaction times, when compared with the conventional method. Finally, the oxidation of different alcohols were accomplished in water under reflux condition with good yields as green chemistry.  相似文献

A new transition-metal-free, sodium metaperiodate (NaIO4)-mediated direct oxidation of methylarenes and benzylic bromides to the corresponding aromatic carboxylic acids is described. Under the same reaction conditions, benzylic alcohols are selectively oxidized to afford the corresponding aldehydes in good yields without undergoing overoxidation. Unprecedentedly, oxidation of benzyl bromide, toluene, or benzyl alcohol with NaIO4 underwent nuclear bromination followed by oxidation to give 4-bromobenzoic acid in 60-79% yields.  相似文献

A one-pot, two-step reaction comprising olefin aziridination and ring-opening of an aziridine intermediate to synthesize 1,2-amino alcohols has been developed. This reaction is suitable for several types of olefin. An efficient three-step methodology developed for the preparation of 1,2-amino alcohols. Highly efficient catalytic oxidation of alcohols with molecular oxygen by N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) combined with a Co species was developed. The oxidation of 2-octanol in the presence of catalytic amounts of NHPI and Co(OAc)2 under atmospheric dioxygen in AcOEt at 70 degrees C gave 2-octanone in 93% yield. The oxidation was significantly enhanced by adding a small amount of benzoic acid to proceed smoothly even at room temperature. Primary alcohols were oxidized by NHPI in the absence of any metal catalyst to form the corresponding carboxylic acids in good yields. In the oxidation of terminal vic-diols such as 1,2-butanediol, carbon-carbon bond cleavage was induced to give one carbon less carboxylic acids such as propionic acid, while internal vic-diols were selectively oxidized to 1,2-diketones.  相似文献

Chiral complexes of 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol-based ligands with zirconium tert-butoxide catalyze the Friedel-Crafts alkylation of pyrroles with α-ketoesters to afford tertiary alcohols in good yields and ee up to 98%. An efficient, facile, and rapid oxidation of alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes or ketones with a stoichiometric amount of iodosobenzene (PhIO) in the presence of catalytic amounts of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxyl free radical (TEMPO), KBr, and a surfactant, such as SDS (sodium dodecylsulfate), was reported. The oxidation proceeded in water at room temperature to afford aldehydes or ketones in excellent yields and high selectivity without overoxidation to carboxylic acids. Selective oxidation of primary alcohols in the presence of secondary alcohols was also achieved with the catalytic system of PhIO/TEMPO/KBr/SDS. The manganese(III)-based aerobic oxidation of arylacetylenes with 2,4-pentanedione at ambient temperature unexpectedly gave the 1,2-dioxolane derivatives in moderate yields together with a small amount of the oxiranes. The 1,2-dioxolanes underwent silica gel-assisted contraction to quantitatively give the oxiranes. Ruthenium complexes catalyze the oxidation of alcohols to the corresponding ketones or aldehydes when t-BuOOH (70% aq.) is used as an oxidant. The reactions proceed at room temperature to give the products in excellent to fairly good yields. Among the transition metal catalysts used, dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium (RuCl2(PPh3)3) showed the highest catalytic activity. 3,5-Di-t-butylcatechol and 4-t-butylcatechol are also effectively oxidized to the corresponding 1,2-benzoquinones in the presence of a catalytic amount of RuCl2(PPh3)3 at room temperature with 1.1 equiv. of t-BuOOH, in quantitative yields. Hydrogen peroxide (30% aq.) can also be employed as an oxidant to give 1,2-benzoquinones in excellent yields.  相似文献

The Mn(III)-initiated aerobic oxidation of heterocyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, such as 4-alkyl-1,2-diphenylpyrazolidine-3,5-diones, 1,3-dialkylpyrrolidine-2,4-diones, 3-alkyl-1,5-dimethylbarbituric acids, and 3-butyl-4-hydroxy-2-quinolinone gave excellent to good yields of the corresponding hydroperoxides, which were gradually degraded by exposure to the metal initiator after the reaction to afford the corresponding alcohols. The synthesis of 30 heterocyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, the corresponding hydroperoxides and the 10 alcohols, their characterization, and the limitations of the procedure are described. In addition, the mechanism of the hydroperoxidation and the redox decomposition of the hydroperoxides are discussed.  相似文献
