The paper describes the effect of the finite temperature T of an azimuthal electron beam on plasma stability. Only instabilities for which the longitudinal macroscopic velocity of the beam is of no importance are discussed. It is shown that at the limit of applicability the weak and strong inhomogeneity approximations give the same results.  相似文献

Laser oscillations have been observed at 248.4 nm from excited KrF molecules. The excited KrF molecules were produced by injecting an intense electron beam into mixtures of Ar, Kr and F2. A peak power of 1.15 × 108 W with a total energy of 5.6 J has been observed. Up to 3% of the deposited e-beam energy was converted to laser-energy.  相似文献

在Chen等理论模型的基础上,对损失锥-束流分布电子激发的回旋激射不稳定性的主要特征 进行了深入研究,这种电子分布在太阳色球附近的磁重联过程中可能形成,它兼有束流和损 失锥的特性.结果表明,它不仅可以像束流分布和损失锥分布那样在适当的等离子体频率和 回旋频率的比值范围内激发X模和O模的基频和谐频不稳定性,兼有两种分布的激发特性,而 且具有更强的增长率.这一方面丰富了此类等离子体不稳定性的基本内容,而且预期在天体 射电发射机理的研究中也将得到广泛的应用. 关键词: 回旋激射不稳定性 弱相对论性 损失锥-束流分布电子 增长率  相似文献

We observe a pronounced variation of wettability properties in solid state materials induced by a low-energy electron beam. The phenomenon occurs in several stages characterized by various mechanisms. We show that for low electron doses the irradiation leads to decrease in the wetting of a dielectric surface due to induced surface electric potential. The higher electron charge leads to formation of a chemical monolayer on material’s surface. It has been found that the electron irradiation strongly modifies the surface free energy of SiO2 by decreasing its total surface free energy value, almost twice. However, electron-induced variations of dispersive and polar components of the surface free energy are quite different and depend of incident electron charge.  相似文献

Beam-controlled current flow is investigated in an Ar-SF6 mixture at atmospheric pressure. It is shown that electron attachment to SF6 molecules plays an important role in the charge-dparticle balance, and the attachment constant is determined. 建立一个描述低能电子在多元多层介质中散射的物理模型,运用MonteCarlo方法模拟低能电子在靶体胶衬底中的复杂散射过程,在此基础上通过大量计算研究入射束能、胶层厚度、衬底材料等不同曝光条件对抗蚀剂沉积能密度分布的影响,获得沉积能分布规律:适量的低束能、薄胶层、低原子序数衬底可以使前散射电子对胶中沉积能密度分布的贡献增大、背散射电子的贡献减小,从而提高曝光分辨率. 关键词: 电子束曝光 MonteCarlo方法 低能电子散射 能量沉积  相似文献

The emission spectrum of a ZnCdS: Ag phosphor screen excited by an electron beam was measured for different screen's thickness. This spectrum is found to be shifted towards the longer wavelengths when the screen thickness increases. The matching factor a between screen and some commercial photocathodes, which alter because of this shifting, is given as a function of the screen thickness.  相似文献

The discharge investigated is initiated by an electron beam with a duration of 10–7 sec under conditions where cascade ionization plays an important role in sustaining the current. We demonstrate a physical mechanism for terahertz(THz) generation from surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs). In a structure with a bulk Dirac semimetals(BDSs) film deposited on a dielectric substrate, the energy of the asymmetric SPP mode can be significantly enhanced to cross the light line of the substrate due to the SPP-coupling between the interfaces of the film. Therefore, the SPPs can be immediately transformed into Cherenkov radiation without removing the wavevector mismatch. Additionally, the symmetric SPP mode can also be dramatically lifted to cross the substrate light line when a buffer layer with low permittivity relative to the substrate is introduced. In this case, dual-frequency THz radiation from the two SPP modes can be generated simultaneously. The radiation intensity is significantly enhanced by over two orders due to the field enhancement of the SPPs. The radiation frequency can be tuned in the THz frequency regime by adjusting the beam energy and the chemical potential of the BDSs. Our results could find potential applications in developing room temperature, tunable, coherent, and intense THz radiation sources to cover the entire THz band.  相似文献

Long pulse operation of the XeF laser has been achieved with a short gain length and medium intensity electron beam excitation for both Ar/Xe/NF3 and Ne/Xe/NF3 mixtures. Use of Ne as diluant strongly lower the threshold for lasing and give an important increase in extracted power. For a total mixture pressure of 2 atm about 6 mJ of 3500 Å radiation was obtained in a 400 ns fwhm pulse limited only by e-beam pulse length.  相似文献

甚高频(频率大于30 MHz)耦合放电源由于能产生大面积高密度的等离子体而受到了人们的广泛关注. 采用电流、电压探针以及朗缪尔探针诊断技术对60MHz射频激发产生的容性耦合等离子体的放电特性及电子行为进行了研究. 实验结果表明,等离子体的等效电阻/电容随着射频输入功率的增加而减小/增加;等离子体中电子行为不仅依赖于射频输入功率,还与放电气压密切相关;放电气压的增加导致电子能量概率分布函数(EEPF)从双温Maxwellian分布向Druyvesteyn分布转变,而且转变气压远低于文献所报道的数值,这主要是由于在60MHz容性耦合等离子体中电子反弹共振加热效率大为降低. 关键词: 甚高频容性耦合等离子体 朗缪尔探针诊断 电子加热模式  相似文献

在原子蒸气激光同位素分离工程(AVLIS)中,金属受电子束的加热而熔化,并向真空蒸发,蒸气原子通过电子束的过程中,可能与电子发生非弹性碰撞,被激发到高能级.在膨胀的过程中,高能级的原子通过与原子的非弹性碰撞消激发,将原子内的电子能量转换为蒸气的平动能.为了分析电子束与原子作用对蒸气的密度、速度和温度等物理特性的影响,采样直接模拟蒙特卡罗法(DSMC)模拟钆原子蒸发过程.模拟结果表明,电子束与原子的作用使得原子蒸气的速度增加,密度减小,温度升高 关键词: 金属蒸发 AVLIS DSMC 电子枪  相似文献

The removal of nitrogen oxides from gas mixtures under the action of an ionizing microsecond pulsed electron beam is studied experimentally. Experiments were carried out with gas mixtures simulating flue gases of thermal power plants. The current density and pulse duration of the electron beam, as well as the concentrations of oxygen and the impurity to be removed, are shown to affect the cleaning characteristics. It is found that the nitrogen oxide conversion initiated by a pulsed electron beam cannot be described by models developed for steady-state electron beams.  相似文献

The transmission and absorption of high-energy bremsstrahlung through materials was studied by a photographic method. The dependences of the depth distribution of absorbed dose (DDAD) and of the absorbed energy (DDAE) on the maximum bremsstrahlung energy, the atomic number of the absorber, and the irradiation conditions are reported and discussed. On the basis of the results, a method is proposed for constructing the DDAD and DDAE curves for atomic numbers and maximum bremsstrahlung energies in the ranges studied.
