Gorenstein flatness and injectivity over Gorenstein rings   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let R be a Gorenstein ring.We prove that if I is an ideal of R such that R/I is a semi-simple ring, then the Gorenstein flat dimension of R/I as a right R-module and the Gorenstein injective dimension of R/I as a left R-module are identical. In addition,we prove that if R→S is a homomorphism of rings and SE is an injective cogenerator for the category of left S-modules,then the Gorenstein flat dimension of S as a right R-module and the Gorenstein injective dimension of E as a left R-module are identical. We also give some applications of these results.  相似文献

Let ``' stand for Hochschild (co)homology. In this note we show that for many rings there exists such that for an arbitrary -bimodule we have . Such a result may be viewed as an analog of Poincaré duality.

Combining this equality with a computation of Soergel allows one to compute the Hochschild homology of a regular minimal primitive quotient of an enveloping algebra of a semisimple Lie algebra, answering a question of Polo.

In this paper we study the Annihilator Theorem and the Local-global Principle for the annihilation of local cohomology modules over a (not necessarily finite-dimensional) Noetherian Gorenstein ring.

We prove that the class of Gorenstein injective modules is both enveloping and covering over a two sided noetherian ring such that the character modules of Gorenstein injective modules are Gorenstein flat. In the second part of the paper we consider the connection between the Gorenstein injective modules and the strongly cotorsion modules. We prove that when the ring R is commutative noetherian of finite Krull dimension, the class of Gorenstein injective modules coincides with that of strongly cotorsion modules if and only if the ring R is in fact Gorenstein.  相似文献

In this paper we assume that is a Gorenstein Noetherian ring. We show that if is also a local ring with Krull dimension that is less than or equal to 2, then for any nonzero ideal of , is Gorenstein injective. We establish a relation between Gorenstein injective modules and local cohomology. In fact, we will show that if is a Gorenstein ring, then for any -module its local cohomology modules can be calculated by means of a resolution of by Gorenstein injective modules. Also we prove that if is -Gorenstein, is a Gorenstein injective and is a nonzero ideal of , then is Gorenstein injective.

We study Gorenstein categories. We show that such a category has Tate cohomological functors and Avramov–Martsinkovsky exact sequences connecting the Gorenstein relative, the absolute and the Tate cohomological functors. We show that such a category has what Hovey calls an injective model structure and also a projective model structure in case the category has enough projectives. As examples we show that if X is a locally Gorenstein projective scheme then the category ??????(X) of quasi‐coherent sheaves on X is such a category and so has these features. We give sufficient conditions on a class of R‐modules $\mathcal {C}We give sufficient conditions on a class of R‐modules $\mathcal {C}$ in order for the class of complexes of $\mathcal {C}$‐modules, $dw \mathcal {C}$, to be covering in the category of complexes of R‐modules. More precisely, we prove that if $\mathcal {C}$ is precovering in R ? Mod and if $\mathcal {C}$ is closed under direct limits, direct products, and extensions, then the class $dw \mathcal {C}$ is covering in Ch(R). Our first application concerns the class of Gorenstein flat modules. We show that when the ring R is two sided noetherian, a complex C is Gorenstein flat if and only if each module Cn is Gorenstein flat. If moreover every direct product of Gorenstein flat modules is a Gorenstein flat module, then the class of Gorenstein flat complexes is covering. We consider Gorenstein projective complexes as well. We prove that if R is a commutative noetherian ring of finite Krull dimension, then the class of Gorenstein projective complexes coincides with that of complexes of Gorenstein projective modules. We also show that if R is commutative noetherian with a dualizing complex then every right bounded complex has a Gorenstein projective precover.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that the Gorenstein analogue of the well-known Auslander's theorem on the global dimension holds true. Namely, we prove that the Gorenstein global dimension of a commutative ring R is equal to the supremum of the set of Gorenstein projective dimensions of all cyclic R-modules.  相似文献

Rings with finite Gorenstein injective dimension   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper we prove that for any associative ring , and for any left -module with finite projective dimension, the Gorenstein injective dimension equals the usual injective dimension . In particular, if is finite, then also is finite, and thus is Gorenstein (provided that is commutative and Noetherian).

In this paper, we study injective dimension and Gorenstein injective dimension over local ring homomorphisms. Some well-known results are generalized. For example, the Bass formula for Gorenstein injective dimension of complexes is extended. As applications, some characterizations of Gorenstein rings are obtained.  相似文献

Given a Noetherian local ring it is shown that there exists an integer such that is Gorenstein if and only if some system of parameters contained in generates an irreducible ideal. We obtain as a corollary that is Gorenstein if and only if every power of the maximal ideal contains an irreducible parameter ideal.

We extend the notion of virtually Gorenstein rings to the setting of arbitrary rings, and prove that all rings R of finite Gorenstein weak global dimension are virtually Gorenstein such that all Gorenstein projective R-modules are Gorenstein flat. For such a ring R, we introduce the notion of relative homology functors of complexes with respect to Gorenstein projective (resp., flat) modules, and establish a balanced and a vanishing result for the homology functor.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the question of when the determinantal ring R over a field k is an almost Gorenstein local/graded ring in the sense of [14 Goto, S., Takahashi, R., Taniguchi, N. (2015). Almost Gorenstein rings - towards a theory of higher dimension. J. Pure Appl. Algebra 219:26662712.[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]]. As a consequence of the main result, we see that if R is a non-Gorenstein almost Gorenstein local/graded ring, then the ring R has a minimal multiplicity.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and A an Artinian R-module. We prove that if A has finite Gorenstein injective dimension, then A possesses a Gorenstein injective envelope which is special and Artinian. This, in particular, yields that over a Gorenstein ring any Artinian module possesses a Gorenstein injective envelope which is special and Artinian.  相似文献

Abstract

We study Gorenstein injective and projective modules over Zariski filtered rings and obtain relations between the Gorenstein dimensions on the category of filtered modules from the associated category of graded modules over the associated graded ring.  相似文献

Let R be a (not necessarily local) Noetherian ring and M a finitely generated R-module of finite dimension d. Let be an ideal of R and denote the intersection of all prime ideals . It is shown that
where for an Artinian R-module A we put A. As a consequence, it is proved that for all ideals of R, there are only finitely many non-isomorphic top local cohomology modules having the same support. In addition, we establish an analogue of the Lichtenbaum-Hartshorne vanishing theorem over rings that need not be local.  相似文献
