On K_0-groups of operator algebras on Banach spaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that X ≈ X2 is not a sufficient condition of K0(B(X)) = 0.  相似文献

We prove the Poincaré inequality for vector fields on the balls of the control distance by integrating along subunit paths. Our method requires that the balls are representable by means of suitable “controllable almost exponential maps”. We introduce and study the minimal inner-Σ-Ω-groups and the minimal outer-Σ-■-groups.Then we give some applications and obtain some interesting results,including characterizations of nilpotent,supersolvable,solvable,and p-closed groups in terms of the join of two conjugate cyclic subgroups having the same property.  相似文献

In this note we study finite intersections of henselian valued fields, i.e. fields carrying either a henselian valuation ring or a henselian absolute value which is (real-) archimedean. To be more precise, we intersect a finite number of henselian valued respectively real closed fields such that the induced valuation rings respectively orderings generate different V-topologies on the intersection, and investigate its algebraic and valuation-theoretic properties.  相似文献

We study an analog of Serre?s conjecture over imaginary quadratic fields. In particular, we ask whether the weight recipe of Buzzard, Diamond and Jarvis will hold in this setting. Using a program written by the author, we provide computational evidence that this is in fact the case. In order to justify the method used in the program, we prove that a modular symbols method will work for arbitrary weights over imaginary quadratic fields.  相似文献

The article introduces a new class of lattice-ordered groups. An ?-group G is lamron if Min(G)?1 is a Hausdorff topological space, where Min(G)?1 is the space of all minimal prime subgroups of G endowed with the inverse topology. It will be evident that lamron ?-groups are related to ?-groups with stranded primes. In particular, it is shown that for a W-object (G,u), if every value of u contains a unique minimal prime subgroup, then G is a lamron ?-group; such a W-object will be said to have W-stranded primes. A diverse set of examples will be provided in order to distinguish between the notions of lamron, stranded primes, W-stranded primes, complemented, and weakly complemented ?-groups.  相似文献

A ring with identity is said to be clean if every element can be written as a sum of a unit and an idempotent. The study of clean rings has been at the forefront of ring theory over the past decade. The theory of partially-ordered groups has a nice and long history and since there are several ways of relating a ring to a (unital) partially-ordered group it became apparent that there ought to be a notion of a clean partially-ordered group. In this article we define a clean unital lattice-ordered group; we state and prove a theorem which characterizes clean unital ?-groups. We mention the relationship of clean unital ?-groups to algebraic K-theory. In the last section of the article we generalize the notion of clean to the non-unital context and investigate this concept within the framework of W-objects, that is, archimedean ?-groups with distinguished weak order unit.  相似文献

Arch denotes the category of archimedean ?-groups and ?-homomorphisms. Tych denotes the category of Tychonoff spaces with continuous maps, and α denotes an infinite cardinal or ∞. This work introduces the concept of an αcc-disconnected space and demonstrates that the class of αcc-disconnected spaces forms a covering class in Tych. On the algebraic side, we introduce the concept of an αcc-projectable ?-group and demonstrate that the class of αcc-projectable ?-groups forms a hull class in Arch. In addition, we characterize the αcc-projectable objects in W—the category of Arch-objects with designated weak unit and ?-homomorphisms that preserve the weak unit—and construct the αcc-hull for G in W. Lastly, we apply our results to negatively answer the question of whether every hull class (resp., covering class) is epireflective (resp., monocoreflective) in the category of W-objects with complete ?-homomorphisms (resp., the category of compact Hausdorff spaces with skeletal maps).  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the I- and I*-convergence and divergence of nets in (?)-groups. We prove some theorems relating different types of convergence/divergence for nets in (?)-group setting, in relation with ideals. We consider both order and (D)-convergence. By using basic properties of order sequences, some fundamental properties, Cauchy-type characterizations and comparison results are derived. We prove that I*-convergence/divergence implies I-convergence/divergence for every ideal, admissible for the set of indexes with respect to which the net involved is directed, and we investigate a class of ideals for which the converse implication holds. The following theorems are proved about the Frattini-free componentG of a soluble stable -group: a) If it has a normal subgroupN with nilpotent quotientG /N, then there is a nilpotent subgroupH ofG withG =NH. b) It has Carter subgroups; if the group is small, they are all conjugate. c) Nilpotency modulo a suitable Frattini-subgroup (to be defined) implies nilpotency. The last result makes use of a new structure theorem for the centre of the derivative of the Frattini-free component of a centreless soluble -group.  相似文献

In the article [17], we introduced and investigated feebly and flatly projectable frames. In this article, we apply these two properties to lattice-ordered groups. An example is constructed to illustrate that the two properties are distinct, which solves a question from [17]. We also investigate these properties with respect to archimedean ℓ-groups with weak order unit, as well as commutative semiprime f-rings.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to exhibit a new family of real bicyclic biquadratic fields K for which we can write the Hasse unit index of the group generated by the units of the three quadratic subfields in the unit group E K of K.
