An acoustic model of a larger human blood vessel is developed. This model takes into account the main features of the acoustic generation and propagation of noise in the human chest from the source (turbulent pressure fluctuations in blood flow) to a receiver resting on the skin, and allows the consideration of a simple stenotic narrowing in the vessel. The low Mach number turbulent wall pressure models of Corcos, Chase, Ffowcs Williams, and Smol'yakov and Tkachenko are used to describe random sources in the vessel. The relationships obtained permit one to analyse the dependence of the resultant acoustic field in the thorax on the parameters of the blood flow and the vessel, and show the possibility of finding characteristic signs of the presence of a stenosis by comparison of noise fields from intact and diseased arteries. Pantograph system of high-speed trains become significant source of aerodynamic noise when travelling speed exceeds 300 km/h. In this paper, a hybrid method of non-linear acoustic solver (NLAS) and Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings (FW-H) acoustic analogy is used to predict the aerodynamic noise of pantograph system in this speed range. When the simulation method is validated by a benchmark problem of flows around a cylinder of finite span, we calculate the near flow field and far acoustic field surrounding the pantograph system. And then, the frequency spectra and acoustic attenuation with distance are analyzed, showing that the pantograph system noise is a typical broadband one with most acoustic power restricted in the medium-high frequency range from 200 Hz to 5 kHz. The aerodynamic noise of pantograph systems radiates outwards in the form of spherical waves in the far field. Analysis of the overall sound pressure level (OASPL) at different speeds exhibits that the acoustic power grows approximately as the 4th power of train speed. The comparison of noise reduction effects for four types of pantograph covers demonstrates that only case 1 can lessen the total noise by about 3 dB as baffles on both sides can shield sound wave in the spanwise direction. The covers produce additional aerodynamic noise themselves in the other three cases and lead to the rise of OASPLs.  相似文献

基于LBM-LES方法,对中低雷诺数下的NACA0012翼型纯音噪声进行了直接计算,研究了不同迎角和雷诺数对纯音噪声的影响。计算结果表明,翼型的声源主要位于翼型的分离区和后缘处,在不同迎角和雷诺数下的声辐射特征均具有偶极子声场的特点;迎角的增大将引起较大的旋涡尺度和湍流强度,吸力面声源区域前移。声压级频谱分析表明,随着迎角的增大,纯音噪声逐渐消失,噪声谱最终呈现宽频特征;随着雷诺数的增大,后缘压力脉动增大。声压级频谱中,主频频率随着雷诺数的增大而增大,且符合Paterson公式的幂律关系。此外,声压级频谱特性随着雷诺数的增大表现出由离散特性向宽频特性转变的趋势。  相似文献

Inflow noise from a symmetric airfoil interacting with homogeneous and isotropic turbulence is investigated focusing on the effects of airfoil geometry. The numerical method employed is based on computational aeroacoustic techniques using the high-order dispersion-relation-preserving finite-difference schemes for solving two-dimensional linearized Euler equations. Effects on inflow noise of the airfoil thickness, leading-edge radius, and freestream Mach number are examined by comparing the acoustic power spectrum of the airfoils and their flow field characteristics. Acoustic power levels of airfoils are found to exponentially decrease in the high-frequency range as airfoil thickness increases because incident turbulent velocities are more distorted in the larger stagnation region near the leading edge. This distortion is shown to be related to the slope angle of the streamline of steady mean flow near the leading edge. However, this high-frequency reduction weakens as the Mach number increases due to the decreasing slope angle. In addition, the chordwise velocity component in the incident turbulence contributes more to the radiating acoustic pressure level as the freestream Mach number increases, which also results in less high-frequency reduction at higher freestream Mach number. At fixed airfoil thickness, increasing the leading-edge radius leads to decreases in the acoustic power level, which may also be explained by size variation of the stagnation region around the leading edge. An approximate algebraic formula for acoustic power spectra is derived on the basis of these observations. Acoustic power spectra predicted using this formula are shown to closely follow the numerical results. Finally, the applicability of the algebraic formula and the current numerical methods to more realistic problems are confirmed by comparing their predictions with the measured data.  相似文献

Vortex–structure interaction noise radiated from an airfoil embedded in the wake of a rod is investigated experimentally in an anechoic wind tunnel by means of a phased microphone array for acoustic tests and particle image velocimetry (PIV) for the flow field measurements. The rod–airfoil configuration is varied by changing the rod diameter (D), adjusting the cross-stream position (Y) of the rod and the streamwise gap (L) between the rod and the airfoil leading edge. Two noise control concepts, including “air blowing” on the upstream rod and a soft-vane leading edge on the airfoil, are applied to control the vortex–structure interaction noise. The motivation behind this study is to investigate the effects of the three parameters on the characteristics of the radiated noise and then explore the influences of the noise control concepts. Both the vortex–structure interaction noise and the rod vortex shedding tonal noise are analysed. The acoustic test results show that both the position and magnitude of the dominant noise source of the rod–airfoil model are highly dependent on the parameters considered. In the case where the vortex–structure interaction noise is dominant, the application of the air blowing and the soft vane can effectively attenuate the interaction noise. Flow field measurements suggest that the intensity of the vortex–structure interaction and the flow impingement on the airfoil leading edge are suppressed by the control methods, giving a reduction in noise.  相似文献

Flow past symmetrically located side branches mounted in a duct can give rise to pronounced flow oscillations due to coupling between separated shear layers and standing acoustic waves. The acoustically-coupled flows were investigated using digital particle image velocimetry (PIV) in conjunction with unsteady pressure measurements. Global instantaneous, phase- and time-averaged flow images were evaluated to provide insight into the flow physics during flow tone generation. Onset of the locked-on resonant states was characterized in terms of the acoustic pressure amplitude and frequency of the resonant pressure peak. Structure of the acoustic noise source was discussed in terms of patterns of generated acoustic power, which was evaluated by applying the vortex sound theory in conjunction with global quantitative flow imaging and numerical simulation of the acoustic field. In addition to the basic side branch configuration, the effect of bluff rectangular splitter plates located along the centerline of the main duct was investigated. The first mode of the shear layer oscillation was inhibited by the presence of the plates, which resulted in substantial reduction of the amplitude of acoustic pulsations and the strength of the acoustic source.  相似文献

发展了一种可用于翼型/机翼外形设计中的气动噪声快速预测方法。相较于传统的半经验噪声预测方法,该方法以两方程非线性k-ε湍流模型模化雷诺应力的雷诺平均方程为背景,考虑了升力系数、三维流动效应以及机翼几何参数等因素对后缘噪声的影响。而相对于直接数值模拟或声类比拟方法,该方法虽不能准确预测噪声强度,但其计算量小,能给出不同翼型/机翼的相对总声压级,以及总声压级随升力系数的变化情况,易于应用于翼型/机翼气动外形优化设计中。通过计算分析二维NACA0012翼型几何参数或来流状态的改变所带来的气动噪声差异,与ANOPP软件及Brooks等计算结果进行对比,验证了该模型的可靠性。最后,计算分析二维、三维翼型/机翼气动噪声,凸显该方法在翼型/机翼气动外形优化设计中的应用价值。  相似文献

Estimates are presented for the effect of susceptibility of the inner surface of the blood vessel wall to shear stress on changes in diameter and volume blood flow rate. The model of thin-walled vessel with radius controlled by two parameters is used. The effect of rheological factors, hematocrit, and oxygen content in blood on the value of vessel response to a change in shear stress is considered. The estimates showed that the contribution of the vessel response in question to a change in blood volume flow rate amounts tens per cent. The influence of rheological (Fahraeus and Fahraeus-Lindqvist) effects on flow rate lies within several per cent. The role of the vessel response considered increases with anaemia: at low hematocrit its contribution to increase in flow rate exceeds 10%. Variation of oxygen concentration within the normal range has almost no effect on the hemodynamic parameters. With hypoxia, on the contrary, the participation of this response on changes in flow rate weakens: in severe hypoxia decrease in blood flow rate owing to a change in oxygen concentration equals approximately 9%.  相似文献

The noise generation of turbulent flames is governed by temporal changes of the total flame volume due to local heat release fluctuations. On the basis of the wave equation an expression for the relationship between the acoustic power and the heat release fluctuations is derived and a correlation function is obtained which reveals that the sound pressure level of flames is governed by the spatial coherence. Noise models rely on precise coherence information in terms of characteristic length scales, which are the measure of the acoustic efficiency of the flame. Since the published length scale information is scarce and inconsistent, length scales were measured for a number of laboratory flames using two measurement techniques developed for this purpose: A planar LIF-system with a repetition rate of 1 kHz acquires the instantaneous flame front position and heat release, whereas two chemiluminescence probes with an optics confining the measurement volume to a line of sight provide further spatial correlation data. For all flames investigated the length scales are smaller than the height of the burner exit annulus and they are of the order of the local flame brush thickness. Using the measured length scales, the coherent volume and the efficiency of the noise generation are calculated, which are three orders of magnitude higher than measured. However, the proper order of magnitude is obtained, if only the measured fluctuating part of the thermal power is used in the model and if the periodic formation of local zones with heat release overshoot and deficit are properly incorporated.  相似文献

为了充分利用埋入混凝土中压电陶瓷所激励的声能,采用了一种在压电陶瓷圆片结构的一面设置金属背衬的方法将压电陶瓷双侧的声能集中到一侧,提高了声指向性和声能。实验表明:该方法能使同距离下压电陶瓷圆片轴向声能提高10倍以上,并且得到了声能的相对增量随背衬厚度和声激励频率之积变化的特性曲线。声信号的谱分析还表明:背衬没有改变声信号的主频和主峰区间的频率带宽;当声激励频率为谐振频率79kHz时,最优背衬厚度为2.4mm;当声激励频率f为60kHz~100kHz时,接收端声能相对较大,适合用于实际的压电埋入式超声无损检测。  相似文献

When using acoustic emission to locate the friction fault source of rotating machinery, the effects of strong noise and waveform distortion make accurate locating difficult. Applying neural network for acoustic emission source location could be helpful. In the BP Wavelet Neural Network, BP is a local search algorithm, which falls into local minimum easily. The probability of successful search is low. We used Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm (SFLA) to optimize the parameters of the Wavelet Neural Network, and the optimized Wavelet Neural Network to locate the source. After having performed the experiments of friction acoustic emission's source location on the rotor friction test machine, the results show that the calculation of SFLA is simple and effective, and that locating is accurate with proper structure of the network and input parameters.  相似文献

This paper presents a new solution to the Active Noise Control problem based on the Q-learning algorithm. Unlike other common methods, this feedback method does not require any additional information about the primary and secondary transfer functions and it is fully robust to subsystems dynamics changes. The basic method is addressed for periodic acoustic disturbances at first. A number of challenges such as the need for the large memory block and long convergence time have led to the establishment of some new suggestions. These modifications have improved the system performances and decreased the computational burden. It is shown by simulation that these methods are robust not for in the subsystems dynamics changes but also at the presence of measurement noise.  相似文献

The recent interest in propeller noise generation, stimulated by development of new propeller types for commerical propjets, has generated a need for the ability of measure the noise characteristics of propellers. However, wind tunnel noise measurements are affected by reflections from the wind tunnel walls. Computer codes predicting the free-field noise of a propeller and its noise field in a circular wind tunnel allow validating the use of wind tunnel measurements to predict free-field noise characteristics. A wind tunnel contains flow which is uniform in the duct axial direction, but can vary in the radial direction. It can be shown that a third-order differential equation governs the acoustic pressure field for such a duct containing radially sheared subsonic flow. This third-order problem is then posed as a coupled pair of equations which are second-order in terms of acoustic density and first-order in terms of an artificial variable which represents the effects of the flow being sheared. It is shown that this form of the problem allows a natural extension of the existing numerical solution techniques for non-sheared flow. The sheared flow problem is presented, and a finite element method is developed to yield a solution for propeller-type acoustic forces. The finite element code and method are refined with numerical experiments, and results are presented for a specific propeller and duct geometry. Good agreement is shown between this method and an alternate approach to the sheared flow problem using a piecewise constant representation of the velocity in the boundary layer. The results of an experimental study of the effects of different nozzle heads on turbulent jet noise are analyzed. A configuration of four cylindrical heads, tabbed heads, and chevron nozzles are considered and the decreases in the acoustic-mechanical efficiency of the jet (acoustic power reduction) for jets exposed to different modes of action are compared.It is shown that the effects of tabbed and cylindrical heads, as well as of chevrons, share a common property which is associated with the occurrence of vorticity in the jet source and can be described on the basis of a unified criterion characterizing the action on both the jet flow structure and the jet noise.  相似文献

In the present work, the changes in the basic turbulence field of an axisymmetric jet in a coflow when acoustic forcing is applied are investigated. The main objective is to discriminate between changes produced by the acoustic forcing and those produced by the presence of solid particles in a two-phase flow. Power spectra of the axial velocities, u(t), are analyzed to reinforce the idea of the existence of a natural frequency. Time-averaged data are used to characterize the basic flow. This basic flow is compared with the flow altered by the acoustic forcing. By smoothing the phase-averaged rms data (mean statistical curve), the general behavior of the instantaneous fluctuations are unveiled and compared with that of the natural (unforced) jet. In this way, it can be seen that rms values in the forced cases are higher than in the unforced ones, due to the contribution of the external forcing. However, once the coherent structures are extinguished, both forced and unforced jets show a similar trend.  相似文献

The acoustic behavior of double-walled laminated composite panels consisting of two porous and air gap middle layers is studied within the classical laminated plate theory (CLPT). Thus, viscous and inertia coupling in a dynamic equation, as well as stress transfer, thermal and elastic coupling of porous material ave based on the Biot theory. In addition, the wave equations are extracted according to the vibration equation of composite layers. The transmission loss (TL) of the structure is then calculated by solving these equations simultaneously. Statistical energy analysis (SEA) is developed to divide the structure into specific subsystems, and power transmission is extracted with balancing power flow equations of the subsystems. Comparison between the present work and the results reported elsewhere shows excellent agreement. The results also indicate that, although favorable enhancement is seen in noise control particularly at high frequencies, the corresponding parameters associated with fluid phase and solid phase of the porous layer are important on TL according to the boundary condition interfaces. Finally, the influence of composite material and stacking sequence on power transmission is discussed.  相似文献

The present article concerns a commonly used methodology for the numerical simulation of acoustic emission and propagation phenomena. We consider the so‐called multi‐stage hybrid acoustic approach, in which a given noise problem is simulated via a sequence of weakly coupled computations of noise generation and acoustic propagation stages, wherein the simulation of the propagation stage is based on advanced Computational AeroAcoustics (CAA) techniques. The paper introduces an original forcing technique, namely, the Non‐Reflective Interface (NRI), to enable the transfer of an acoustic signal from an a priori noise generation stage into a CAA‐based acoustic propagation phase. Unlike most existing forcing techniques, the NRI is non‐reflective (or anechoic) in nature and, therefore, can properly handle the backscattering effects arising during the noise propagation stage. This attribute makes the NRI‐based weak‐coupling procedure and the associated CAA‐based hybrid approach compatible with a larger variety of realistic noise problems (such as those involving installed configurations in wind tunnel experiments, for instance). A bilayer membrane acoustic metamaterial was proposed to overcome the influence of the mass law on traditional acoustic materials and obtain a lightweight thin-layer structure that can effectively isolate low frequency noise. The finite element analysis(FEA) results agree well with the experimental results.It is proved that the sound transmission losses(STLs) of the proposed structures are higher than those of same surface density acoustic materials. The introduction of the magnetic mass block is different from the traditional design method, in which only a passive mass block is fixed on the membrane. The magnetic force will cause tension in the membrane, increase membrane prestress, and improve overall structural stiffness. The effects of the geometry size on the STLs are discussed in detail. The kind of method presented in this paper can provide a new means for engineering noise control.  相似文献
