For a large class of independent (site or bond, short- or long-range) percolation models, we show the following: (1) If the percolation densityP (p) is discontinuous atp c , then the critical exponent (defined by the divergence of expected cluster size, nP n (p) (P c P) asp p c ) must satisfy 2. (2) or (defined analogously to, but asp p c ) and [P n (p c ) (n –1–1/) asn ] must satisfy, 2(1 – 1/). These inequalities for improve the previously known bound 1(Aizenman and Newman), since 2 (Aizenman and Barsky). Additionally, result 1may be useful, in standardd-dimensional percolation, for proving rigorously (ind>2) that, as expected,P x has no discontinuity atp c .  相似文献

We discuss stochastic Schrödinger operators and Jacobi matrices with wave functions, taking values in l so there are 2l Lyaponov exponents 1...l0 l+1...2l =–1. We consider the thermodynamic pressurep(, ) of a classical system of particles with the two-body interaction potentialq(r)+ v K(r), where is the number of space dimensions, is a positive parameter, and is the chemical potential. The temperature is not shown in the notation. We prove rigorously, for hard-core potentialsq(r) and for a very general class of functionsK(s), that the limit 0 of the pressurep(, ) exists and is given by where the limit and the supremum can be interchanged. Here is a certain class of nonnegative, Riemann integrable functions,D is a cube of volume |D|, anda 0() is the free energy density of a system withK=0 and density . We propose a Veneziano-like model for VV reactions near threshold involving exchanges of 0 trajectories int- andu-channels. The model is applied to , , , and processes. The model in its simplest form cannot account for the disparities in the cross sections for andK *+ K *– and for 00 and +. Further refinements of the model are suggested.  相似文献

The X-ray structural analysis of copper dipyridine dibromide was carried out. The substance is monoclinic, its space group isP21/n, having the lattice constantsa=8.30 kXU,b=17.72 kXU,c=4.04 kXU,=96°,Z=2. The localization of the heavy atoms was carried out by means of the projections of the Patterson functionsP(u, v) andP(v, w), which provided the bases for determining the signs of the majority of structure factors. The projections of the electron density(x, y) and(y, z) were calculated on the basis of these data. The positions of the atoms were refined three times by methods of differential syntheses and by geometrical analysis. The structure of CuPy2Br2 is very close to that of CuPy2Cl2 [1], [2], differing from it primarily in the orientation of the symmetry elements with respect to the crystallographic axes. In both structures the copper atom is octahedrally coordinated with four halogen and two nitrogen atoms. The nitrogen atoms and two bromine atoms are bound to the copper covalently in the structure of the bromine derivative, as follows from the length of the bonds (Cu-N 1.99 kXU, Cu-Br, 2.46 kXU), while the remaining two bromine atoms are bound to the copper by weaker bonds and mediate the chain formation of molecules in the direction of thec axis.

Inelastic electron scattering at a neon atom in the presence of an external electric field is considered. The distortion factors of the cross section M (F) are calculated for a series of 4d and 5d levels. It is shown that the distortion factor in strong fields is a nonlinear and nonmonotonic function of the field. The distortion factors and transition probabilitiesA , are compared. A variety of rigorous inequalities for critical exponents is proved. Most notable is the low-temperature Josephson inequalitydv +2 2–. Others are 1 1 +v, 1 1 , 1,d 1 + 1/ (for d),dv, 3 + (for d), 4 , and 2m 2m+2 (form 2). The dynamics of short distance interaction is considered from viewpoint of the quark field theory. If the effective coupling of quarks (the invariant charge(p 2)) decreases with distance (with increasingp 2) the field picture unifies different phenomenological models: reggeology in the region of smallp and partonology in the region of highp but(p 2 ) lnp 2 1 and predict deviations with a subsequent increase ofp . A character of the deviations depends on the behaviour of whenp 2. The variants of the asymptotic freedom (0) and scale invariance (g 2 0 ) are discussed. This article presents a Pauli-Dirac matrix approach to Clifford Algebras. It is shown that the algebra C2 is generated by two Pauli matrices i2 and i3; C3 is generated by the three Pauli matrices 1, 2, 3; C4 is generated by four Dirac matrices 0, 1, 2, 3 and C5 is generated by five Dirac matrices i0, i1, i2, i3, i5. The higher dimensional anticommuting matrices which generate arbitrarily high order Clifford algebras are given in closed form. The results obtained with this Clifford algebra approach are compared with the vector product method which was described in a recent article [Found. Phys. 10, 531–553 (1980) by Poole, Farach and Aharonov] and with the Dirac, Rashevskii and Ramakrishnan methods of matrix generation.Supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant ISP-80-11451.  相似文献

The results of NMR/ON measurements on56'57'60Co isotopes in iron are presented. To avoid the uncertainties caused by local demagnetizing field inhomogenities the measurements on two cobalt isotopes in one sample have been carried out. The values of nuclear-factor ratios 57/ 60 = 1.805 (20), 60/ 56 = 0.761 (20), 56/ 57 = 0.726 (20) and hyperfine anomalies5660 = -0.036 (10),60 57 = 0.017 (10) and5756 = 0.018 (10) have been calculated from the experimental results.  相似文献

The stability of the homogeneously broadened and degenerate two-photon running wave laser is analysed by using the full set of matter-field equations. The stability depends on the relative size of the relaxation constants. For 2k>1+r(k=/,r=/; is the cavity loss of the field and , are the longitudinal and transversal decay constants, respectively) no stable lasing state exists. Forr<k<(1+r)/2 an instability occurs. With the decrease in pumping the stable lasing state loses its stability due to Hopf-bifurcation.  相似文献

In this paper we have evaluated iui, ijuij, Tr( i,u)Tr( iu), Tr( ijv) and Tr(u) whereu andv involve Pauli matrices i and the 2×2 unit matrix in the form of products of elements of the typea r=a r ii+ia r 4 with the help of the results of the trace calculation involving Dirac matrices. We have evaluated v U, S , v U v, Tr( 5 U)Tr( 5 V), Tr( 5 U) and Tr(U). HereU,V are products of an even number of elements andS, Sare products of an odd number of elements of the typeA r(=A r . We have also dealt with the cases in which the dummy suffixesi and occurring in some of the above expressions are replaced by a which assume any specific value instead of implying a summation. We have considered also the evaluation of the above-mentioned traces when the term, 1 ± 5, occurs within the trace brackets; this is required in the calculation of the traces involving i and the unit 2×2 matrix. It has been shown that the problem of the trace calculation involving Dirac matrices can be reduced to one involving three Pauli matrices i and the unit 2×2 matrix.  相似文献

The phase transition for a spin in a magnetic fieldB coupled to acoustic phonons by a coupling constant is studied. The caseB1 with an upper cutoff of unity for the phonons is studied systematically by using an adiabatic canonical transformation. In leading order the transition line is at =2/B=1. In the normal phase (<1) the ground-state energy is –B/2 plus a function of that is given explicitly as the solution of a pair theory. In the broken symmetry phase (>1) the energy is the classical energy plus the same function of =1/2. It is found that the first derivatives of the energy with respect to and with respect toB have finite jumps across the transition line. Quantum fluctuations in both phases are treated. Higher-order terms are a series of powers of 1/B times functions of . The case of a small transverse fieldB is also studied. The sharp transition disappears and is replaced by rapid variation in a region of order (B1/B)2/3 about =1.  相似文献

Moyal noncommutative star-product deformations of higher-dimensional gravitational Einstein-Hilbert actions via lower-dimensional SU(), W gauge theories are constructed explicitly based on the holographic reduction principle. New reparametrization invariant p-brane actions and their Moyal star product deformations follows. It is conjectured that topological Chern-Simons brane actions associated with higher-dimensional knots have a one-to-one correspondence with topological Chern-Simons Matrix models in the large N limit. The corresponding large N limit of Topological BF Matrix models leads to Kalb-Ramond couplings of antisymmetric-tensor fields to p-branes. The former Chern-Simons branes display higher-spin W symmetries which are very relevant in the study of W Gravity, the Quantum Hall effect and its higher-dimensional generalizations. We conclude by arguing why this interplay between condensed matter models, higher-dimensional extensions of the Quantum Hall effect, Chern-Simons Matrix models and Gravity needs to be investigated further within the framework of W Gauge theories.  相似文献

The possibility to obtain information on n scattering at intermediate energies from the reaction dnp is analyzed. To this aim, the differential cross sectiond 3 /d ,d n dE n and the scattering asymmetry with linearly polarized photons are calculated at photon energies 100 to 400 MeV in the diagrammatic approach. The pole diagrams of the impulse approximation are evaluated with realistic n and p scattering amplitudes. One-loop diagrams withnp rescattering in the final state and with meson-exchange and isobar currents are taken into account as well. The main contribution to the differential cross sectiond 3 /d ,d n dE n in the kinematics of quasi-free n scattering arises from the neutron pole diagram. The correction due to other diagrams is typically –30% to –10% and decreases with increasing photon energy and momentum transfer. The sensitivity of the cross sections to the magnitude of the neutron electric polarizability and to the sign of the 02 decay constant is demonstrated.  相似文献

The investigation of microstructure and chemical composition of the and phases were performed in a Ni-base superalloy by means of analytical electron microscopy. The distribution of particular elements in the alloy was revealed using X-ray mapping in a transmission electron microscope. The detected concentration profiles of alloying elements at the / interface were relatively sharp in the case of cuboidal shape of the phase while they resembled the classical diffusion profile for the oval phase. The quantitative analysis of the phase revealed much higher content of Al and lower of Ti, W, Co and Mo in the oval precipitates compared to cuboidal ones. This result is attributed to the different solidification paths, which is eutectic for the cuboidal precipitates and peritectic for the oval precipitates.  相似文献

We present some asymptotic results for the family of pausing time densities having the asymptotic (t) property(t) [t ln1+(t/T)]–1.
