Mononuclear, square-planar platinum(II) complexes involving derivatives of aromatic cytokinins as the ligands, and having the general formula cis-[Pt(Ln)2Cl2] (13) and trans-[Pt(Ln)2Cl2] (46), where n = 1–3, L1 = 2-chloro-6-(benzylamino)-9-isopropylpurine, L2 = 2-chloro-6-[(4-methoxybenzyl)amino]-9-isopropylpurine and L3 = 2-chloro-6-[(2-methoxybenzyl)-amino]-9-isopropylpurine, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, MALDI-TOF mass, FT IR, 1H, 13C, 15N and 195Pt NMR spectral measurements. Dynamic cis-to-trans isomerization process of complex 1 in N,N′-dimethylformamide (DMF) has been investigated by means of multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The solid-state structures of 1, 4 · (DMF)2, and 5 have been determined by single crystal X-ray analysis. X-ray structures revealed that the heterocyclic ligands are coordinated to platinum via nitrogen atom N(7) in all the complexes studied. In vitro cytotoxicity of the prepared complexes against MCF7, G361, K562, and HOS has been evaluated. Owing to low solubility of the complexes in water, the cytotoxicity has been only tested up to 5 μM concentration. Unfortunately, all complexes have been found to be non-cytotoxic in the accessible concentration range.  相似文献

Two new phenol based macroacyclic Schiff base ligands, 2,6-bis({N-[2-(phenylselenato)ethyl]}benzimidoyl)-4-methylphenol (bpebmpH, 1) and 2,6-bis({N-[3-(phenylselenato)propyl]}benzimidoyl)-4-methylphenol (bppbmpH, 2) of the Se2N2O type have been prepared by the condensation of 4-methyl-2,6-dibenzoylphenol (mdbpH) with the appropriate (for specific reactions) phenylselenato(alkyl)amine. These ligands with Cu(II) acetate monohydrate in a 2:1 molar ratio in methanol form complexes of the composition [(C6H2(O)(CH3){(C6H5)CN(CH2)nSe(C6H5)}{(C6H5)CO}2Cu] (3 (n = 2), 4 (n = 3)) with the loss of phenylselenato(alkyl)amine and acetic acid. In both these complexes, one arm of the ligand molecule undergoes hydrolysis, and links with Cu(II) in a bidentate (NO) fashion, as confirmed by single crystal X-ray crystallography of complex 3. The selenium atoms do not form part of the copper(II) distorted square planar coordination sphere which has a trans-CuN2O2 core. The average Cu–N and Cu–O distances are, respectively, 1.973(3) and 1.898(2) Å. The N–Cu–N and O–Cu–O angles are, respectively, 167.4(11)° and 164.5(12)°. The compounds 1–4 have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, mass spectrometry, IR, electronic, 1H and 77Se{1H} NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The interaction of complex 3 with calf thymus DNA has been investigated by a spectrophotometric method and cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

A series of 9-isopropylpurine derivatives bearing 4-methoxyphenyl, 4-methoxybenzyl, (4-methoxyphenyl)ethynyl and 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl groups in positions 2 and 6 were prepared as carba-analogues of antimitotic myoseverin. Cross-coupling reactions of 2,6-dichloro-9-isopropylpurine (1) with one equivalent of (4-methoxyphenyl)boronic acid or (4-methoxybenzyl)zinc chloride gave regioselectively the 6-substituted 2-chloropurines which were used for another cross-coupling reaction with a second equivalent of the organometallic reagent. The Sonogashira reaction of 1 with 4-(methoxyphenyl)ethyne gave 2,6-bis[(4-methoxyphenyl)ethynyl]-9-isopropylpurine that was hydrogenated to 2,6-bis[2-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-9-isopropylpurine. Regioselectivity of the couplings was proved by means of 1H-15N HMBC experiments. 2,6-Bis[(4-methoxyphenyl)ethynyl]-9-isopropylpurine showed considerable cytostatic activity, while the other compounds were inactive.  相似文献

The complex [Rh(CO)2Cl]2 reacts with two molar equivalent of pyridine carboxylic acids ligands Py-2-COOH(a), Py-3-COOH(b) and Py-4-COOH(c) to yield rhodium(I) dicarbonyl chelate complex [Rh(CO)2(L/)](1a) {L/ = η2-(N,O) coordinated Py-2-COO(a/)} and non-chelate complexes [Rh(CO)2ClL//](1b,c) {L// = η1-(N) coordinated Py-3-COOH(b), Py-4-COOH(c)}. The complexes 1 undergo oxidative addition (OA) reactions with different electrophiles such as CH3I, C2H5I, C6H5CH2Cl and I2 to give penta coordinated Rh(III) complexes of the types [Rh(CO)(CORn)XL/], {n = 1,2,3; R1 = CH3(2a); R2 = C2H5(3a); X = I and R3 = CH2C6H5 (4a); X = Cl}, [Rh(CO)I2L/](5a), [Rh(CO)(CORn)ClXL//] {R1 = CH3(6b,c); R2 = C2H5(7b,c); X = I and R3 = CH2C6H5 (8b,c); X = Cl} and [Rh(CO)ClI2L//](9b,c). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. Kinetic data for the reaction of 1a–b with CH3I indicate a first order reaction. The catalytic activity of 1a–c for the carbonylation of methanol to acetic acid and its ester is evaluated and a higher turn over number (TON = 810–1094) is obtained compared with that of the well-known commercial species [Rh(CO)2I2] (TON = 653) at mild reaction conditions (temperature 130 ± 5 °C, pressure 35 ± 5 bar).  相似文献

Ruthenium monoterpyridine complexes with the tridentate 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine (LH2), [Ru(trpy)(LH2)]2+, [1]2+ and [Ru(trpy)(L2−)], 2 (trpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine) have been synthesized. The complexes have been authenticated by elemental analyses, UV–Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR spectra and their single crystal X-ray structures. Complexes [1]2+ and 2 exhibit strong MLCT band near 475 and 509 nm, respectively, and are found to be very much dependent on solution pH. The successive pH dependent dissociations of the N–H protons of benzimidazole moiety of LH2 in [1]2+ lead to the formation of 2. The proton induced inter-convertibility of [1]2+ and 2 has been monitored via UV–Vis spectroscopy and redox features. The two pKa values, 5.75 and 7.70, for complex [1]2+ have been determined spectroscopically.  相似文献

A series of nickel and palladium complexes bearing (imino)pyridyl alcohol tridentate [N,N,O] ligands, 2-(ArNCMe)-6-{(HO)CR2}C5H3N (L1-L4), were synthesized and sufficiently characterized by elemental and spectroscopic analysis along with X-ray diffraction analysis. The X-ray diffraction demonstrated that five-coordinated nickel halide complexes (1a-4a and 1b) and six-coordinated nickel acetate complex (1c) were prepared, and cationic palladium complexes (1d and 2d) formed with the [PdCl4]2− counterion. All these complexes displayed high catalytic activities up to 1.883 × 107 g(PNB) mol−1(cat) h−1 (2d) for the vinyl polymerization of norbornene on treatment with excess methylaluminoxane (MAO), affording the vinyl-type PNBs with high molecular weights and relatively narrow molecular weight distributions. The parameters of reaction conditions, the type of metals and steric effects of coordinative ligands had influences on the catalytic properties.  相似文献

A crystallographic investigation of anion–π interactions and hydrogen bonds on the preferred structural motifs of molybdenum(VI) complexes has been carried out. Two molybdenum(VI) network polymers MoO2F4·(Hinca)2 (1) and MoO2F3(H2O)·(Hinpa) (2), where inca = isonicotinamide and inpa = isonipecotamide, have been synthesized, crystallographically characterized and successfully applied to alcohol oxidation reaction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space C2/c: a = 16.832(3) Å, b = 8.8189(15) Å, c = 12.568(2) Å, β = 118.929(3)°, V = 1560.1(5) Å3, Z = 4. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic space P-1: a = 5.459(2) Å, b = 9.189(4) Å, c = 12.204(5) Å, α = 71.341(6)°, β = 81.712(7)°, γ = 77.705(7)°, V = 564.8(4) Å3, Z = 2. Complex 1 consists of hydrogen bonding and anion–π interactions, both of which are considered as important factors for controlling the geometric features and packing characteristics of the crystal structure. The geometry of the sandwich complex of [MoO2F4]2− with two pyridine rings indicates that the anion–π interaction is an additive and provides a base for the design and synthesis of new complexes. For complex 2, the anions and the protonated inpa ligands form a 2D supramolecular network by four different types of hydrogen contacts (N–HF, N–HO, O–HF and O–HO). The catalytic ability of complexes 1 and 2 has also been evaluated by applying them to the oxidation of benzyl alcohol with TBHP as oxidant.  相似文献

Two Cu(II) complexes of (S)-2-[(N-benzylprolyl)amino]benzaldehyde oxime (L) were isolated. The complex Cu[(LH–1)(Cl)] is green, whereas Cu2(LH2)–2 is red-brown. The structure of these complexes was proved by elemental analysis, IR and UV spectroscopy. The average molecular masses ( ) of the complexes in ethanol were determined by precision ebulliometry. The concentration dependence of the values of these complexes is consistent with the existence of the following equilibria in ethanol: Cu[(LH–1)(Cl)] + EtOH Cu[(LH–1)(HOEt)]++Cl+ and [Cu2(LH–2)2] + EtOH 2[Cu(LH-–2)(HOEt)]. The equilibrium constants of these two reactions were determined. Both [Cu(LH–1)(Cl)] and [Cu2(LH–2)2] catalyze with equal efficiency the hydrolysis of 2-methyl-4-benzyl-5(4H)-oxazolone in aqueous solutions at a given pH. The UV spectra of both complexes in water at similar pH values are identical. Thus, both complexes must be interconvertible in aqueous solutions. Furthermore, the absence of any electrophoretically mobile particles in neutral aqueous buffers is an indication that the complexes [Cu2(LH–2)2] and [Cu(LH–2)(H2O)] are the predominant species in solution under these conditions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 10, pp. 2270–2275, October, 1991.  相似文献

Three new linear trinuclear nickel(II) complexes, [Ni3(salpen)2(OAc)2(H2O)2]·4H2O (1) (OAc = acetate, CH3COO), [Ni3(salpen)2(OBz)2] (2) (OBz = benzoate, PhCOO) and [Ni3(salpen)2(OCn)2(CH3CN)2] (4) (OCn = cinnamate, PhCHCHCOO), H2salpen = tetradentate ligand, N,N′-bis(salicylidene)-1,3-pentanediamine have been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. The choice of solvent for growing single crystal was made by inspecting the morphology of the initially obtained solids with the help of SEM study. The magnetic properties of a closely related complex, [Ni3(salpen)2(OPh)2(EtOH)] (3) (OPh = phenyl acetate, PhCH2COO) whose structure and solution properties have been reported recently, has also been studied here. The structural analyses reveal that both phenoxo and carboxylate bridging are present in all the complexes and the three Ni(II) atoms remain in linear disposition. Although the Schiff base ligand and the synsyn bridging bidentate mode of the carboxylate group remain the same in complexes 14, the change of alkyl/aryl group of the carboxylates brings about systematic variations between six- and five-coordination in the geometry of the terminal Ni(II) centres of the trinuclear units. The steric demand as well as hydrophobic nature of the alkyl/aryl group of the carboxylate is found to play a crucial role in the tuning of the geometry. Variable-temperature (2–300 K) magnetic susceptibility measurements show that complexes 14 are antiferromagnetically coupled (J = −3.2(1), −4.6(1), −3.2(1) and −2.8(1) cm−1 in 14, respectively). Calculations of the zero-field splitting parameter indicate that the values of D for complexes 14 are in the high range (D = +9.1(2), +14.2(2), +9.8(2) and +8.6(1) cm−1 for 14, respectively). The highest D value of +14.2(2) and +9.8(2) cm−1 for complexes 2 and 3, respectively, are consistent with the pentacoordinated geometry of the two terminal nickel(II) ions in 2 and one terminal nickel(II) ion in 3.  相似文献

Mixed-chelate complexes of ruthenium have been synthesized using tridentate Schiff-base ligands (TDLs) derived from condensation of 2-aminophenol or 2-aminobenzoic acid with aldehydes (salicyldehyde, 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde), and tmeda (tetramethylethylenediamine). [RuIII(hpsd)(tmeda)(H2O)]+ (1), [RuIII(hppc)(tmeda)(H2O)]2+ (2), [RuIII(cpsd)(tmeda)(H2O)]+ (3) and [RuIII(cppc)(tmeda)(H2O)]2+ (4) complexes (where hpsd2− = N-(hydroxyphenyl)salicylaldiminato); hppc = N-(2-hydroxyphenylpyridine-2-carboxaldiminato); cpsd2− = (N-(2-carboxyphenyl)salicylaldiminato); cppc = N-2-carboxyphenylpyridine-2-carboxaldiminato) were characterized by microanalysis, spectral (IR and UV–vis), conductance, magnetic moment and electrochemical studies. Complexes 14 catalyzed the epoxidation of cyclohexene, styrene, 4-chlorostyrene, 4-methylstyrene, 4-methoxystyrene, 4-nitrostyrene, cis- and trans-stilbenes effectively at ambient temperature using tert-butylhydroperoxide (t-BuOOH) as terminal oxidant. On the basis of Hammett correlation (log krel vs. σ+) and product analysis, a mechanism involving intermediacy of a [Ru–O–OBut] radicaloid species is proposed for the catalytic epoxidation process.  相似文献

The ground- and excited-state structures for a series of Os(II) diimine complexes [Os(NN)(CO)2I2] (NN = 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) (1), 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine (dbubpy) (2), and 4,4′-dichlorine-2,2′-bipyridine (dclbpy) (3)) were optimized by the MP2 and CIS methods, respectively. The spectroscopic properties in dichloromethane solution were predicted at the time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT, B3LYP) level associated with the PCM solvent effect model. It was shown that the lowest-energy absorptions at 488, 469 and 539 nm for 13, respectively, were attributed to the admixture of the [dxy (Os) → π*(bpy)] (metal-to-ligand charge transfer, MLCT) and [p(I) → π*(bpy)] (interligand charge transfer, LLCT) transitions; their lowest-energy phosphorescent emissions at 610, 537 and 687 nm also have the 3MLCT/3LLCT transition characters. These results agree well with the experimental reports. The present investigation revealed that the variation of the substituents from H → t-Bu → Cl on the bipyridine ligand changes the emission energies by altering the energy level of HOMO and LUMO but does not change the transition natures.  相似文献

Ternary copper(II) complexes [Cu(l-pro)(B)(H2O)](NO3) (1, 2) where l-pro = l-proline, B is a N,N-donor heterocyclic base, viz. 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy, 1), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen, 2), are synthesized, characterized, and their DNA binding and cleavage activity studied. The bpy complex (1) is structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The complexes show the presence of a distorted square-pyramidal (4 + 1) CuN3O2 coordination geometry. Complex [Cu(l-pro)(bpy)(H2O)](NO3) (1) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with unit cell parameters: a = 7.082(3) Å, b = 10.483(5) Å, c = 11.581(5) Å, α = 89.700(7)°, β = 83.488(8)°, γ = 84.109(8)° and V = 849.7(7) Å3. The one-electron paramagnetic complexes display a d–d band near 600 nm in water and show a cyclic voltammetric response due to Cu(II)/Cu(I) couple near 0.1 V (versus SCE) in Tris–HCl buffer–0.1 M KCl. Binding interactions of the complexes with calf thymus (CT) DNA have been investigated by emission, absorption, viscosity and DNA thermal denaturation studies. The phen complex displays significant binding propensity to the CT DNA giving an order: 2 (phen)  1 (bpy). The bpy complex does not show any apparent binding to the DNA and hence poor cleavage efficiency. Complex 2 shows efficient oxidative cleavage of SC-DNA in the presence of 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) involving hydroxyl radical species as evidenced from the control data showing inhibition of DNA cleavage in the presence of DMSO and catalase.  相似文献

Two series of di and trinuclear chlorodiorganotin(IV) complexes derived from bis- and tris-dithiocarbamate ligands have been prepared and structurally characterized. The dinuclear complexes 1-2 of the composition {(R2SnCl)2(bis-dtc)} (1, R = Me; 2, R = nBu) have been obtained from R2SnCl2 (R = Me, nBu) and the triethylammonium salt of N,N′-dibenzyl-1,2-ethylene-bis(dithiocarbamate). The trinuclear complexes 3-9 with the general formula {(R2SnCl)3(tris-dtc)} 3, R = Me, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-Me; 4, R = Me, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-iPr; 5, R = Me, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-Bn; 6, R = nBu, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-Me; 7, R = nBu, tris-dtc = tris-dtc- iPr; 8, R = nBu, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-Bn; 9, R = tBu, tris-dtc = tris-dtc-Me) were prepared from R2SnCl2 (R = Me, nBu, tBu) and the potassium dithiocarbamate salts of (tris[2-(methylamino)ethyl]amine) (tris-dtc-Me), (tris[2-(isopropylamino)ethyl]amine) (=tris-dtc-iPr) and (tris[2-(benzylamino)ethyl]amine) (=tris-dtc-Bn). Compounds 1-9 have been analyzed as far as possible by elemental analysis, FAB+ mass spectrometry, IR and NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The solid state and solution studies showed that the dtc ligands are coordinated to the tin atoms in the anisobidentate manner. In all cases the metal centers are five-coordinate. The coordination geometry is intermediate between square-pyramidal and trigonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedra with τ-values in the range of 0.32-0.53. For the members of each series characterized in the solid state by X-ray diffraction analysis, different molecular conformations were found. The crystal structures show the presence of C-H?Cl, C-H?S, C-H?π, S?Cl, S?S, Cl?Sn and S?Sn contacts.  相似文献

Two novel organic–inorganic hybrid polyoxometalates, (X = P, m = 1 1; X = Si, m = 2 2; 2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bpyridine), have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. They are isostructural, possessing orthorhombic, and the parameters of unit cells for compound 1 are space group Pbca, a = 17.317(4) Å, b = 17.092(3) Å, c = 20.587(4) Å, V = 6445(2) Å3, Z = 4; for compound 2 are space group Pcab, a = 17.181(3) Å, b = 18.198(4) Å, c = 20.672(4) Å, V = 6463(2) Å3, Z = 4. The two compounds show a layer framework constructed from Keggin-polyoxoanion clusters and [Cu (2, 2′-bpy)2]2+ coordination polymer fragments via weak covalent interactions, resulting in a 3D network via supramolecular interactions. Their electrochemical properties are studied in detail.  相似文献

Summary New complexes of the general formulae [M(LH2)2Cl2] (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn), [Mn(LH2)2X2] (X = Br, I), [Cu(LH2)2Br2], [Ni(LH2)2X2] (X = Br, NCS, ONO2), [Cu(LH2)X2]n (X = Cl, Br), K2[NiL2]·2H2O and K2-[CuL2]·H2O, where LH2 = malonamide, were isolated. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, X-ray powder patterns, magnetic susceptibilities and spectroscopic (variable-temperature 57Fe-Mössbauer, e.s.r., u.v.-vis., i.r., far-i.r., Raman) studies. Monomeric trans pseudo-octahedral stereochemistries for the neutral 12 complexes and square planar structures of D 2h symmetry for the two ionic complexes are assigned in the solid state. Dimeric or polymeric five-coordinate structures are proposed for the 11 copper(II) compounds. LH2 and L2– behave as bidentate chelating ligands binding through oxygen and deprotonated nitrogen atoms, respectively. A detailed comparison of the studied complexes with the corresponding oxamide complexes is also presented.  相似文献

Treatment of a N-arylanilido-imine ligand [ortho-C6H4(NHAr)CHN]2CH2CH2 (Ar = 2,6-Me2C6H3) (LH2) with one equiv. of AlMe3 affords a monometallic complex [C6H4(NHAr)–CHN)]CH2CH2(C6H4(NAr)CHNAlMe2) (1). The monometallic complex 1 reacts with one equiv. of ZnEt2 to give a heterobimetallic complex [C6H4(NAr)–CHNZnEt]CH2CH2[C6H4(NAr)–CHNAlMe2] (2). Both complexes were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analyses, and the molecular structures of 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The complexes 1 and 2 both are efficient catalysts for ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone in the presence of benzyl alcohol yielding polymers with narrow polydispersity values and complex 2 initiates the polymerization in a controllable manner.  相似文献

Reaction of N-(4-R-phenyl)picolinamide (R = OCH3, CH3, H, Cl and NO2) with [Ir(PPh3)3Cl] in refluxing ethanol in the presence of a base (NEt3) affords two yellow complexes (1-R and 2-R). The 1-R complexes contain an amide ligand coordinated to the metal center as a monoanionic bidentate N,N donor along with two triphenylphosphines, a chloride and a hydride. The 2-R complexes contain an amide ligand coordinated to the metal center as a monoanionic bidentate N,N donor along with two triphenylphosphines and two hydrides. Similar reaction of N-(naphthyl)picolinamide with [Ir(PPh3)3Cl] affords two organometallic complexes, 3 and 4. In complex 3 the amide ligand is coordinated to the metal center, via C–H activation of the naphthyl ring at the 8-position, as a dianionic tridentate N,N,C donor, along with two triphenylphosphines and one chloride. Complex 4 is similar to complex 3, except a hydride is bonded to iridium instead of the chloride. Structures of the 1-OCH3, 2-Cl and 4 complexes have been determined by X-ray crystallography. All the complexes are diamagnetic, and show characteristic 1H NMR signals and intense MLCT transitions in the visible region. Cyclic voltammetry on all the complexes shows a IrIII–IrIV oxidation within 0.50–1.16 V vs. SCE and a reduction of the coordinated amide ligand within −1.02 to −1.25 V vs. SCE.  相似文献

A comprehensive calculations were carried out to get a deep insight into the ground- and excited-state electronic structures and the spectroscopic properties for a series of [Pt(4-X–trpy)CCC6H4R]+ complexes (trpy = 2,2′,6′,2″-terpyridine; X = H, R = NO2 (1), Cl (2), C6H5 (3) and CH3 (4); R = Cl, X = CH3 (5) and C6H5 (6)). MP2 (second-order Møller–Plesset perturbation) and CIS (single-excitation configuration interaction) methods were employed to optimize the structures of 1–6 in the ground and excited states, respectively. The investigation showed that substituted phenylacetylide and trpy ligands only give rise to a small variation in geometrical structures but lead to a sizable difference in the electronic structures for 1–6 in the ground and excited states. The introduction of electron-rich groups into the phenylacetylide and/or terpyridyl ligands produces two different low-lying absorptions for 1 and 2–6, i.e., Pt(5d) → π*(trpy) metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) mixed with π → π*(CCPh) intraligand charge transfer (ILCT) for 1 and Pt(5d)/π(CCPh) → π*(trpy) charge transfer (MLCT and LLCT) for 26. Remarkable electronic resonance on the whole Pt–CCPh–NO2 moiety for 1 may be responsible for the difference. Solvatochromism calculation revealed that only LLCT/MLCT transitions showed the solvent dependence, consistent with the experimental observations.  相似文献

Crystalline solvates of olanzapine (1), 2-methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-10H-thieno[2,3-b][1,5]benzodiazepine, have been characterized by an X-ray analysis and thermal (DSC) data. Crystallization of 1 from ethanol gives a solid containing both water and ethanol molecules; the solvate 1 · H2O · EtOH (2:2:1) is monoclinic with the space group P21/c and the unit-cell volume V = 3752.8(12) Å3. Butan-2-ol forms with 1 solvate which is also a three-component phase, 1 · H2O · BuOH, but its stoichiometry is different (1:1:1). The space group for this crystal is P21/c and the unit-cell volume V = 2216.5(7) Å3. Crystalline olanzapine dichloromethane solvate (2:1), 1 · CH2Cl2, is triclinic with the space group .The characteristic feature of all crystal structures is presence of a pair of olanzapine molecules which form dimer stabilized by multiple weak C–Hπ interactions between the N-methylpiperazine fragment and the phenyl / thiophene systems. Theoretical calculations have been performed indicating that the total C–Hπ binding energy is about 8 kcal mol−1. In the crystal structure, the self-assembled olanzapine molecular dimers are arranged into parallel crystal planes. Packing of the layers proceeds in two ways in which structural motives are replicated by (i) perpendicular translation forming columns, and (ii) rotation around the twofold screw axis (parallel to the layer).  相似文献
