We compare two proposals for the dynamical entropy of quantum deterministic systems (CNT and AFL) by studying their extensions to classical stochastic systems. We show that the natural measurement procedure leads to a simple explicit expression for the stochastic dynamical entropy with a clear information-theoretical interpretation. Finally, we compare our construction with other recent proposals.  相似文献

A stochastic theory approach is used to formulate the theory of quantum mechanical motion. Apart from giving a unifying point of view to quantum mechanics and stochastic theory, the new formulation is not limited to forces derivable from a potential. We consider a large number of particles on a one-dimensional latticel Z in interaction with a heat particle; the latter is located on the bond linking the position of the particle to the point to which it jumps. The energy of a single particle is given by a potentialV(x), xZ. In the continuum limit, the classical version leads to Brownian motion with drift. A quantum version leads to a local drift velocity which is independent of the applied force. Both these models obey Einstein's relation between drift, diffusion, and applied force. The system obeys the first and second laws of thermodynamics, with the time evolution given by a pair of coupled non linear heat equations, one for the density of the Brownian particles and one for the heat occupation number; the equation for a tagged Brownian particle can be written as a stochastic differential equation.  相似文献

A unified canonical operator formalism for quantum stochastic differential equations, including the quantum stochastic Liouville equation and the quantum Langevin equation both of the Itô and the Stratonovich types, is presented within the framework of non-equilibrium thermo field dynamics (NETFD). It is performed by introducing an appropriate martingale operator in the Schrödinger and the Heisenberg representations with fermionic and bosonic Brownian motions. In order to decide the double tilde conjugation rule and the thermal state conditions for fermions, a generalization of the system consisting of a vector field and Faddeev-Popov ghosts to dissipative open situations is carried out within NETFD.  相似文献

The interrelation between the well-known non-Markovian master equation and the new memoryless one used in the previous paper is clarified on the basis of damping theory. The latter equation is generalized to include cases in which the Hamiltonian or the Liouvillian is a random function of time, and is written in a form feasible for perturbational analysis. Thus, the existing stochastic theory in which those cases mentioned above are discussed is equipped with a more tractable basic equation. Two problems discussed in the previous paper, i.e., the random frequency modulation of a quantal oscillator and the Brownian motion of a spin, are treated from the viewpoint of the stochastic theory without such explicit consideration of external reservoirs as was taken in the previous paper.  相似文献

In this paper a new approach to metastability for stochastic dynamics is proposed. The basic idea is to study the statistics of each path, performing time averages along the evolution. Metastability would be characterized by the fact that the process of these time averages converges, under a suitable rescaling, to a measure valued Markov jump process. Consider a diffusion process on an infinite line terminated by a trap and modulated by a periodic field. When the frequency is equal to zero the mean time to trapping will be finite or infinite, depending on the sign of the field. We ask whether this behavior can be changed by an oscillatory field, and show that it cannot for pure Brownian motion. We suggest that transition can appear when the signal propagation velocity is finite as for the telegrapher's equation. We further suggest that the asymptotic time dependence of the survival probability is proportional tot –1/2 just as in the case of ordinary diffusion. The same conclusion is shown to hold for a system whose dynamics is governed by the equation , whereL is a constant.  相似文献

The classical Haar construction of Brownian motion uses a binary tree of triangular wedge-shaped functions. This basis has compactness properties which make it especially suited for certain classes of numerical algorithms. We present a similar basis for the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process, in which the basis elements approach asymptotically the Haar functions as the index increases, and preserve the following properties of the Haar basis: all basis elements have compact support on an open interval with dyadic rational endpoints; these intervals are nested and become smaller for larger indices of the basis element, and for any dyadic rational, only a finite number of basis elements is nonzero at that number. Thus the expansion in our basis, when evaluated at a dyadic rational, terminates in a finite number of steps. We prove the covariance formulae for our expansion and discuss its statistical interpretation. The Klein–Kramers equation, governing the Brownian motion of a classical particle in a quantum environment under the action of an arbitrary external potential, is derived. Quantum temperature and friction operators are introduced and at large friction the corresponding Smoluchowski equation is obtained. Introducing the Bohm quantum potential, this Smoluchowski equation is extended to describe the Brownian motion of a quantum particle in quantum environment.  相似文献

A single-domain ferromagnetic particle is represented as a large spin (model of rotation in unison) whose stochastic dynamics is derived from a spin-boson Hamiltonian. It is shown in the Markovian limit that thermal equilibrium exists provided that the fluctuation-dissipation theorem is supplemented by a symmetry constraint which for bilinear anisotropic and nonlinear (magnetoelastic) spin-bath coupling can only be satisfied in the underdamped limit. Only for bilinear isotropic coupling (Gilbert's theory) is it satisfied identically for arbitrary damping strength. Uniaxial and cubic symmetries are considered. For a model uniaxial crystal the thermal decay rate of M and the thermal enhancement of the macroscopic quantum tunneling rate are calculated for Gilbert and magnetoelastic dissipative couplings and compared. The nonlinear spin excitations in an anisotropic helimagnet in the presence of a constant magnetic field are investigated in the classical continuum limit. The helical character is introduced into the model, in analogy with the twist in a cholesteric liquid crystal. After deriving a class of spin wave solutions for the stereographic representation of the Landau-Lifshitz equation, in-plane stationary spin configurations are obtained and their stability is analysed. When the external magnetic field is along the anisotropic axis, modulational instability is observed in the spin lattice, and when the external magnetic field is normal to the anisotropic axis, the spin configurations are unstable. The perturbed spin components show fluctuations in the tail region, while the velocity and amplitude of the soliton remain unaltered.  相似文献

We study effects of the physical realization of quantum computers on their logical operation. Through simulation of physical models of quantum computer hardware, we analyze the difficulties that are encountered in programming physical realizations of quantum computers. Examples of logically identical implementations of the controlled-NOT operation and Grover's database search algorithm are used to demonstrate that the results of a quantum computation are unstable with respect to the physical realization of the quantum computer. We discuss the origin of these instabilities and discuss possibilities to overcome this, for practical purposes, fundamental limitation of quantum computers. 以单个磁性中心的NiO以及由Co和Ni等元素构成的双磁性中心的纳米结构为例,总结了近年所做的主要工作.为了在理论上实现磁性纳米结构中的超快自旋翻转和转移,提出了一种称为Λ进程(Λ process)的超快自旋转换机理.在实际计算中,首先采用量子化学第一性原理计算得到磁性纳米结构中精确的隙间d电子态,然后考虑外加磁场和自旋轨道耦合分析磁性原子中的自旋局域化程度,最后引入激光脉冲项,研究在其作用下材料的自旋态经由Λ进程实现转换的时间历程.研究结果表明自旋翻转和转移可以在线偏振光的作用下在亚皮秒的时间尺度内完成. 关键词: 超快自旋动力学 第一性原理计算 Λ进程 磁性纳米结构  相似文献
