Transition metal cobalt incorporated MCM-48 mesoporous molecular sieves (CoMCM-48) with different Co contents were synthesized hydrothermally at 120 °C for 24 h by directly adding fluoride ions to the initial gel. The resulting materials were characterized by means of XRD, TEM, FT-IR, UV-vis, TPR and N2 physical adsorption, respectively. The effect of various factors, such as the Si/Co molar ratio, calcination temperature and hydrothermal treatment time, on the crystalline structure and textural properties of CoMCM-48 was investigated in detail. The results show that the CoMCM-48 mesoporous materials with high specific surface area were successfully synthesized. A small amount substitution of Co for Si in MCM-48 did not significantly change the textural properties while the higher cobalt incorporated leads to decrease of the surface area and deterioration of structural regularity. Furthermore, the resulting CoMCM-48 still retained the cubic mesoporous framework even after calcination at 800 °C for 4 h or hydrothermal treatment at 100 °C for 24 h.  相似文献

There were designed and synthesized naphthalene and pyrene derivatives consisting of fluorophore group and of receptor fragment with donor N and O atoms. These fluorosensors were covalently attached by grafting carboxyl group to surfaces of silica xerogel or mesoporous silicas (MCM-41 and MCM-48) functionalized either with 3-aminopropyl or 3-glycidoxypropyl groups. The pyrene derivatives 2 and 3 covalently grafted on MCM-48 silica functionalized with 3-aminopropyl groups are potential recognition elements of a fluorescence chemical sensor.Fluorescence emission of the prepared recognition materials is quenched specifically owing to photoinduced electron transfer (PET) effect after coordination reactions with Cu(II) ions. Moreover, both the materials exhibit selectivity for Cu(II) ions in aqueous solutions in presence of such metal ions as: alkali, alkaline earth and transition. During UV irradiation the studied recognition elements undergo slowly photochemical degradation.  相似文献

A synthetic route was developed for a novel hexagonal mesoporous silica that has remarkably wide channel diameters and thick walls. The procedure involved the acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of tetraethylorthosilicate in a water/ethanol/isopropoanol solvent mixture while employing 1-hexadecylamine as a templating agent and mesitylene as an auxiliary agent. After removal of the template by either extraction with ethanolic hydrochloric acid or by calcination at 550 °C, the resulting mesoporous materials had surface areas of 1283 and 1211 m2/g. The channel diameters were found to be 47.2-51.1 Å, while the wall thicknesses were 20.9-21.1 Å. X-ray powder diffraction demonstrated that the novel mesoporous silica belonged to the MCM-41 structural family. Notably, they displayed higher thermal and hydrothermal stabilities, and have higher surface areas than conventionally prepared MCM-41 silica. The thickest channel walls (21.1 Å) can withstand calcination to nearly 850 °C with minimal structural damage. The calcined sample was more resistant to hydrothermal treatment in boiling water than was the solvent-extracted product but both materials showed minimal change after 25 h of hydrothermal treatment.  相似文献

The electronics industry is one of the world??s fastest growing manufacturing industries. However, e-waste has become a serious pollution problem. This study reports the recovery of e-waste for preparing valuable MCM-48 and ordered mesoporous carbon for the first time. Specifically, this study adopts an alkali-extracted method to obtain sodium silicate precursors from electronic packaging resin ash. The influence of synthesis variables such as gelation pH, neutral/cationic surfactant ratio, hydrothermal treatment temperature, and calcination temperature on the mesophase of MCM-48 materials is investigated. Experimental results confirm that well-ordered cubic MCM-48 materials were synthesized in strongly acidic and strongly basic media. The resulting mesoporous silica had a high surface area of 1,317?m2/g, mean pore size of about 3.0?nm, and a high purity of 99.87?wt%. Ordered mesoporous carbon with high surface area (1,715?m2/g) and uniform pore size of CMK-1 type was successfully prepared by impregnating MCM-48 template using the resin waste. The carbon structure was sensitive to the sulfuric acid concentration and carbonization temperature. Converting e-waste into MCM-48 materials not only eliminates the disposal problem of e-waste, but also transforms industrial waste into a useful nanomaterial.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe the preparation of mesoporous organosilica samples with hydrophilic or hydrophobic organic functionality inside the silica channel. We synthesized mesoporous organosilica of identical pore sizes based on two different organic surface functionality namely hydrophobic (based on octyltriethoxysilane OTES) and hydrophilic (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane ATES) and MCM-41 was used as a reference system. The structure of water/ice in those porous silica samples have been investigated over a range temperatures by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and inelastic neutron scattering (INS). INS study revealed that water confined in hydrophobic mesoporous organosilica shows vibrational behavior strongly different than bulk water. It consists of two states: water with strong and weak hydrogen bonds (with ratio 1:2.65, respectively), compared to ice-Ih. The corresponding O-O distances in these water states are 2.67 and 2.87 ?, which strongly differ compared to ice-Ih (2.76 ?). INS spectra for water in hydrophilic mesoporous organosilica ATES show behavior similar to bulk water, but with greater degree of disorder.  相似文献

This work reports a systematic study of ordered mesoporous silicas (OMSs) synthesized with and without hydrothermal treatment at 373 K for a series of surfactants of different alkyl chain length (from C10 to C18). For these samples nitrogen adsorption and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) data were measured to characterize their adsorption and surface properties. Namely, nitrogen adsorption isotherms were used to evaluate their specific surface area, pore volume and pore size distribution, whereas SAXS data provided information about their structural ordering. It is shown that while the room temperature synthesis afforded OMS samples with cubic MCM-48 structure, an additional 5-day hydrothermal treatment of these samples at 373 K caused their transformation to MCM-41 (two-dimensional hexagonal structure) and improved their pore uniformity, which was manifested by reducing the width of pore size distribution.  相似文献

Zr-containing mesoporous molecular sieves were synthesized by hydrothermal method using cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide as a template and sodium silicate and zirconium sulfate as raw materials. The structure and morphology of the synthesized samples were characterized via various physicochemical methods, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (29Si MAS-NMR) techniques, thermal gravimetric-differential scanning calorimeter (TG-DSC) and N2 physical adsorption, respectively. The effect of the different initial ZrO2:SiO2 molar ratio, the different thermal treatment temperature and the different hydrothermal treatment time on textural property was investigated. The experimental results reveal that the as synthesized samples possess a typical mesoporous structure of MCM-41. On the other hand, the specific surface area and pore volume of the synthesized Zr-MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve decrease with the increase of the amount of zirconium incorporated in the starting material, the rise of thermal treatment temperature and the prolonging of hydrothermal treatment time, the mesoporous ordering becomes poor. Also, when the molar ratio of ZrO2:SiO2 in the starting material is 0.1, the mesoporous structure of the Zr-MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve still retains after calcination at 750 °C for 3 h or hydrothermal treatment at 100 °C for 6 d, and have specific surface areas of 423.9 and 563.9 m2/g, respectively.  相似文献

Ordered hexagonal arrangement MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieves were synthesized by the traditional hydrothermal method, and Fe-loaded MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieves (Fe/MCM-41) were prepared by the wet impregnation method. Their mesoporous structures were testified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the N2 physical adsorption technique. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method via the pyrolysis of ethanol at atmospheric pressure using Fe/MCM-41 as a catalytic template. The effect of different reaction temperatures ranging from 600 to 800 °C on the formation of CNTs was investigated. The resulting carbon materials were characterized by various physicochemical techniques such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and Raman spectroscopy. The results show that multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with an internal diameter of ca. 7.7 nm and an external diameter of ca. 16.9 nm were successfully obtained by the pyrolysis of ethanol at 800 °C utilizing Fe/MCM-41 as a catalytic template.  相似文献

Super-microporous silicon material with high hydrothermal stability denoted as MCM-48-T has been prepared from mesoporous MCM-48 by high temperature treatment. The structural and chemical property of MCM-48-T has been characterized by variety of techniques such as small-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2 adsorption-desorption, infrared spectroscopy (IR) and 29Si MAS NMR, etc. The results showed that Si-OH groups are forced to condense by the treatment of high temperature and the pore size of MCM-48-T is around 1.03 nm in the super-microporous range. Besides, the ratio of Q4/Q3 increases considerably. Compared with the original material (MCM-48), the hydrothermal stability of MCM-48-T has significantly enhanced.  相似文献

A simple and effective method for in situ synthesis of α-Fe nanoparticle/ordered mesoporous silica (OMS) composites is reported. Evaporation induced self-assembly (EISA) and carbothermal reduction (CR) are strategically combined by using amphiphilic triblock copolymer P123 as not only a template and but also a precursor of carbon material. P123 plays dual roles in assembly of mesostructure and reduction of ferric species. Thermogravimetric analysis-mass spectrometer was used to investigate the pyrolysis process of the wet gels. The synthesized composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscope (XPS) and N2 adsorption. The results showed that the composites possess ordered hexagonal mesoporous structure and the α-Fe nanoparticles with about 16 nm were well dispersed in mesoporous matrix. The carbon material resulting from P123 can reduce ferric species to α-Fe nanoparticles at 800 °C. Moreover, the formation mechanism for Fe nanoparticles in OMS matrix is proposed.  相似文献

Highly ordered mesoporous Co3O4, NiO, and their metals were synthesized by nanocasting method using there corresponding mesoporous SBA-15 silica as a template. The obtained porous metal oxides have high surface areas, large pore volume, and a narrow pore size distribution. The N2-adsorption data for mesoporous metal oxides have provided the BET area of 257.7 m2 g−1 and the total pore volume of 0.46 cm3 g−1. The mesoporous metals were employed as a catalyst in the synthesis of (S)-3-pyrrolidinol from chiral (S)-4-chloro-3-hydroxybutyronitrile, and a high yield to (S)-3-pyrrolidinol-salt was obtained on the mesoporous Co metal catalyst.  相似文献

A new dirhenium(I) complex fac-[{Re(CO)3(4,7-dinonadecyl-1,10-phenanthro -line)}2 (4,4′-bipyridyl)] (trifluoromethanesulfonate)2 (denoted as D-Re(I) ) is assembled in MCM-41 and SBA-15 type mesoporous silica support. The emission peaks of D-Re(I) in D-Re(I)/MCM-41 and D-Re(I)/SBA-15 are observed at 522 and 517 nm, respectively. Their long excited lifetimes, which are of the order of microseconds, indicate the presence of phosphorescence emission arising from the metal to ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) transition. The luminescence intensities of D-Re(I)/MCM-41 and D-Re(I)/SBA-15 decrease remarkably with increase in the oxygen concentration, meaning that they can be used as optical oxygen sensing materials based on luminescence quenching. The ratios I0/I100 of D-Re(I)/MCM-41 and D-Re(I)/SBA-15 are estimated to be 5.6 and 20.1, respectively. The obtained Stern-Volmer oxygen quenching plots of the mesoporous sensing materials could be fitted well to the two-site Demas model and Lehrer model.  相似文献

A simple and efficient route is reported for the synthesis of mesoporous carbon materials by directly carbonizing hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin-silica composites. The resulting carbon materials, with uniform wormlike mesoporous structure and certain degree graphitic phase characteristics in porous wall, possess narrow pore size distribution, high surface area (>1000 m2 g−1) and pore volume (>1.2 cm3 g−1). It is worth mentioning that the carbon materials have high catalytic activity for the reduction of p-nitrotoluene using hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent; moreover, the catalytic activity is not reduced notably after being reused for six times.  相似文献

Iron, cobalt and a mixture of iron and cobalt incorporated mesoporous MCM-41 molecular sieves were synthesised by hydrothermal method and used to investigate the rules governing their nanotube producing activity. The catalysts were characterised by XRD and N2 sorption studies. The effect of the catalysts has been investigated for the production of carbon nanotubes at an optimised temperature 750 °C with flow rate of N2 and C2H2 is 140 and 60 ml/min, respectively for a reaction time 10 min. Fe-Co-MCM-41 catalyst was selective for carbon nanotubes with low amount of amorphous carbon with increase in single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) yield at 750 °C. Formation of nanotubes was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Raman spectroscopy. Transmission electron microscope and Raman spectrum was used to follow the quality and nature of carbon nanotubes formed and the graphitic layers and disordered band, which shows the clear evidence for the formation of SWNTs, respectively. The result propose that the diameter of the nanotubes in the range of 0.78-1.35 nm. Using our optimised conditions for this system, Fe-Co-MCM-41 showed the best results for selective SWNTs with high yield when compared with Fe-MCM-41 and Co-MCM-41.  相似文献

New nanoporous β-SiC ceramics were synthesized by a simple thermal evaporation method with commercial silicon powder and activated carbon fragments. The results of scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction indicated that the microstructure of the β-SiC nanoporous ceramics was uniform and consistent with the pore size of 50-100 nm. The β-SiC nanocrystal grains of 50-200 nm were accumulated together to form a nanopore network. The formation mechanism was attributed to a template synthesis process, in which activated carbon fragments were employed as the template and they reacted with vaporized silicon through a vapor-solid way.  相似文献

Highly ordered mesoporous material MCM-41 was synthesized from tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as Si source and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as template. Well-dispersed NiO nanoparticles were introduced into the highly ordered mesoporous MCM-41 by chemical precipitation method to prepare the highly ordered mesoporous NiO/MCM-41 composite. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution TEM (HRTEM), and nitrogen adsorption–desorption measurement were used to examine the morphology and the microstructure of the obtained composite. The morphological study clearly revealed that the synthesized NiO/MCM-41 composite has a highly ordered mesoporous structure with a specific surface area of 435.9 m2 g−1. A possible formation mechanism is preliminary proposed for the formation of the nanostructure. The adsorption performance of NiO/MCM-41 composite as an adsorbent was further demonstrated in the removal azo dyes of methyl orange (MO), Congo red (CR), methylene blue (MB) and rhodaming B (RB) under visible light irradiation and dark, respectively. The kinetics and mechanism of removal methylene blue were studied. The results show that NiO/MCM-41 composite has a good removal capacity for organic pollutant MB from the wastewater under the room temperature. Compared with MCM-41 and NiO nanoparticles, 54.2% and 100% higher removal rate were obtained by the NiO/MCM-41 composite.  相似文献

Mesoporous carbon composites, containing nickel and nickel oxide nanoparticles, were obtained by soft-templating method. Samples were synthesized under acidic conditions using resorcinol and formaldehyde as carbon precursors, poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) triblock co-polymer Lutrol F127 as a soft template and nickel and nickel oxide nanoparticles, and nickel nitrate as metal precursors. In addition, a one set of samples was obtained by impregnation of mesoporous carbons with a nickel nitrate solution followed by further annealing at 400 °C. Wide angle X-ray powder diffraction along with thermogravimetric analysis proved the presence of nickel nanoparticles in the final composites obtained using nickel and nickel oxide nanoparticles, and Ni(NO3)2 solution. Whereas, the impregnation of carbons with a nickel nitrate solution followed by annealing at 400 °C resulted in needle-like nickel oxide nanoparticles present inside the composites’ pores. Low-temperature (−196 °C) nitrogen physisorption, X-ray powder diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis confirmed good adsorption and structural properties of the synthesized nickel-carbon composites, in particular, the samples possessed high surface areas (>600 m2/g), large total pore volumes (>0.50 cm3/g), and maxima of pore size distribution functions at circa 7 nm. It was found that the composites were partially graphitized during carbonization process at 850 °C. The samples are stable in an air environment below temperature of 500 °C. All these features make the synthesized nickel-carbon composites attractive materials for adsorption, catalysis, energy storage, and environmental applications.  相似文献

The fabrication of condensed silica and mesoporous silica coated spinel CoFe2O4 and FeCo alloy magnetic nanocomposites are reported. The encapsulation of well-defined 5 nm thick uniform silica layer on CoFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles was performed. The formation of mesopores in the shell was a consequence of removal of organic group of the precursor through annealing. The NiO nanoparticles were loaded into the mesoporous silica. The mesoporous silica shells leads to a larger coercivity than that of pure CoFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles due to the decrease of interparticle interactions and magneto-elastic anisotropy. In addition, the FeCo nanoparticles were coated by condensed and mesoporous silica. The condensed silica can protect the reactive FeCo alloy from oxidation up to 300 °C. However, saturation magnetization of FeCo nanoparticles coated by silica after 400 °C annealing is dramatically decreased due to the oxidation of the FeCo core. The mesoporous silica coated magnetic nanostructure loaded with NiO as a final product could be used in the field of biomedical applications.  相似文献

The conventional drying (oven drying) method used for the preparation of precipitated mesoporous silica with low surface area (>300 m2/g) and small pore volume is often associated with a high production cost and a time consuming process. Therefore, the main goal of this study was to develop a cost-effective and fast drying process for the production of precipitated mesoporous silica using inexpensive industrial grade sodium silicate and spray drying of the precipitated wet-gel silica slurry. The precipitated wet-gel silica slurry was prepared from an aqueous sodium silicate solution through the drop-wise addition of sulfuric acid. Mesoporous precipitated silica powder was prepared by drying the wet-gel slurry with different drying techniques. The effects of the oven drying (OD), microwave drying (MD), and spray drying (SD) techniques on the physical (oil, water absorption, and tapping density), and textural properties (specific BET surface area, pore volume, pore size, and % porosity) of the precipitated mesoporous silica powder were studied. The dried precipitated mesoporous silica powders were characterized with field-emission scanning electron microscopy; Brunauer, Emmett and Teller and BJH nitrogen gas adsorption/desorption methods; Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy; thermogravimetric and differential analysis; N2 physisorption isotherm; pore size distribution and particle size analysis. There was a significant effect of drying technique on the textural properties, such as specific surface area, pore size distribution and cumulative pore volume of the mesoporous silica powder. Additionally, the effect of the microwave-drying period on the physicochemical properties of the precipitated mesoporous silica powder was investigated and discussed.  相似文献
