We have synthesized new, efficient, visible light active photocatalysts through the incorporation of highly electronegative non-transition metal Pb or Sn ions into the perovskite lattice of Ba(In(1/3)Pb(1/3)M'(1/3))O3 (M = Sn, Pb; M' = Nb, Ta). X-ray diffraction, X-ray absorption spectroscopic, and energy dispersive spectroscopic microprobe analyses reveal that tetravalent Pb or Sn ions exist in the B-site of the perovskite lattice, along with In and Nb/Ta ions. According to diffuse UV-vis spectroscopic analysis, the Pb-containing quaternary metal oxides Ba(In(1/3)Pb(1/3)M'(1/3))O3 possess a much narrower band gap (E(g) approximately 1.48-1.50 eV) when compared to the ternary oxides Ba(In(1/2)M'(1/2))O3 (E(g) approximately 2.97-3.30 eV) and the Sn-containing Ba(In(1/3)Sn(1/3)M'(1/3))O3 derivatives (E(g) approximately 2.85-3.00 eV). Such a variation of band gap energy upon the substitution is attributable to the broadening of the conduction band caused by the dissimilar electronegativities of the B-site cations. In contrast to the ternary or the Sn-substituted quaternary compounds showing photocatalytic activity under UV-vis irradiation, the Ba(In(1/3)Pb(1/3)M'(1/3))O3 compounds induce an efficient photodegradation of 4-chlorophenol under visible light irradiation (lambda > 420 nm). The present results highlight that the substitution of electronegative non-transition metal cations can provide a very powerful way of developing efficient visible light harvesting photocatalysts through tuning of the band structure of a semiconductive metal oxide.  相似文献

The preferential formation of a pyrochlore structure is a knotty problem in the preparation of Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PZN)-based thin film materials and its presence is significantly detrimental to the dielectric and piezoelectric properties. In this study, 40 mol% of PZN was replaced with Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN) for obtaining a perovskite composition around a morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), (1−x)(0.6PZN-0.4PMN)-xPT ((1−x)PZMN-xPT, PT: PbTiO3) where x = 0.23. The thin films with this composition were prepared with a polyethylene glycol (PEG) modi-fied sol-gel method on LaAlO3 substrates. The microstructural evolution of the films on heat treatment was examined with X-ray diffraction. With the aid of PEG, the formation of the pyrochlore phase was suppressed and the perovskite phase formed directly from the amorphous gel film. The multilayer films with a thickness around 0.25 μm showed a single perovskite phase without any detectable pyrochlore structure. Microscopic images showed uniform grain size of a few tens of nanometers. The role of the polymer dramatically promoting the perovskite phase was investigated with the aid of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and thermal analysis. The dielectric constant of the obtained film was 4160 at 1 kHz. The film demonstrated typical ferroelectric hysteresis loops and exhibited excellent piezoelectric performance.  相似文献

"Lead zirconate titanate Pb(Zr0:95Ti0:05)O3 (PZT95/5) antiferroelectric thin films with 300 nm thickness were grown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by a sol-gel method with rapid thermal annealing processing. The X-ray diffraction results showed that the highly (111)-oriented pervoskite PZT95/5 thin films were grown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates when annealed at 600-700 oC. Electrical measurements were conducted on PZT95/5 films in metal-ferroelectric-metal capacitor configuration. The PZT95/5 thin films annealed at 600-700 oC showed well-saturated hysteresis loops at an applied voltage of 20 V. At 1 kHz, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the films were 519 and 0.028, 677 and 0.029, 987 and 0.025, respectively for the thin films annealed at 600, 650, and 700 oC. The average remanent polarization (Pr) and the coercive electric field (Ec) obtained from the P-E hysteresis loops, were 19.1 1C/cm2 and 135.6 kV/cm, 29.31C/cm2 and 88.57 kV/cm, 45.3 1C/cm2 and 102.1 kV/cm, respectively for PZT95/5 thin films annealed at 600, 650 and 700 oC for 10 min in the oxygen atmosphere. This showed a good ferroelectricity of the prepared PZT95/5 films on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by the simple sol-gel processing. The pyroelectric coeocient (p) of antiferroelectric PZT95/5 films was measured by a dynamic technique. At room temperature, the p values of the antiferroelectric PZT95/5 films at 1 kHz were 274, 238, and 212 1C/m2K."  相似文献

"Compositionally graded ferroelectric lead zirconate titanate Pb(Zr1-xTix)O3 (PZT) thin films were grown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates by using a sol-gel process. The final structure consists of six layers, up-graded graded films starting from PbZrO3 on the Pt electrode to the top PZT(50) layer, it consists of no Ti, 10%Ti, 20%Ti, 30%Ti, 40%Ti, and 50%Ti respectively. Whereas films with opposite gradient are called down-graded graded films. Structure and dielectric properties of the graded films was investigated by X-ray diffraction, Auger electron spectroscopy and by impedance analysis. The up-graded and down-graded PZT films annealed at 600 o, exhibited the remanent polarization values of 18.0 and 24.2 1C/cm2, respectively. The typical small signal dielectric constants and loss tanffi at a frequency of 100 Hz were 523 and 0.018, 544, and 0.020, respectively, for up-graded and down-graded PZT thin films. The temperature dependence of pyroelectric coeoients of the graded PZT films was measured by a dynamic technique. From 20 o to 82 o, the pyroelectric coeoients of the up-graded and down-graded PZT films up to 374 and 407 1C/m2K, respectively."  相似文献

The 29Si and 17O NMR parameters of six polymorphs of MgSiO3 were determined through a combination of high-resolution solid-state NMR and first-principles gauge including projector augmented wave (GIPAW) formalism calculations using periodic boundary conditions. MgSiO3 is an important component of the Earth's mantle that undergoes structural changes as a function of pressure and temperature. For the lower pressure polymorphs (ortho-, clino-, and protoenstatite), all oxygen species in the 17O high-resolution triple-quantum magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectra were resolved and assigned. These assignments differ from those tentatively suggested in previous work on the basis of empirical experimental correlations. The higher pressure polymorphs of MgSiO3 (majorite, akimotoite, and perovskite) are stabilized at pressures corresponding to the Earth's transition zone and lower mantle, with perovskite being the major constituent at depths >660 km. We present the first 17O NMR data for these materials and confirm previous 29Si work in the literature. The use of high-resolution multiple-quantum MAS (MQMAS) and satellite-transition MAS (STMAS) experiments allows us to resolve distinct oxygen species, and full assignments are suggested. The six polymorphs exhibit a wide variety of structure types, providing an ideal opportunity to consider the variation of NMR parameters (both shielding and quadrupolar) with local structure, including changes in coordination number, local geometry (bond distances and angles), and bonding. For example, we find that, although there is a general correlation of increasing 17O chemical shift with increasing Si-O bond length, the shift observed also depends upon the exact coordination environment.  相似文献

Doping the pyrochlore (Y(2)Ti(2)O(7)) with the Ca(2+) has been reported to improve the oxygen ionic conductivity. (17)O and (89)Y solid-state NMR has been used in work reported here to probe the local environment of the oxygen and yttrium sites in these materials. Although the conductivity of these materials is only moderate, variable-temperature, one-dimensional (17)O NMR experiments and two-dimensional (17)O magnetization exchange spectroscopy show that oxygen-ion jumps occur between the oxygen sites nearby titanium. Motion at ambient temperatures involves the O1 and local environments created by the Ca(2+) doping; motion does not involve the O2 oxygen site coordinated to four yttrium ions.  相似文献

In as-hydrolyzed amorphous precursors of Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) ceramics with various Zr/Ti ratios prepared from lead acetate and transition metal n-butoxides in parent alcohol medium the local environment of constituent metal atoms has been determined by EXAFS. The local zirconium atom environment in high-Zr precursors consists of distorted octahedra of oxygen atoms with all the bonds made up of Zr–O–Zr links. For low-Zr precursors a smaller distortion of the oxygen octahedra is observed, and two Ti atoms are found in the second shell. The titanium local environment is almost independent of the Zr/Ti ratio, with five oxygen atoms in the first and two titanium atoms in the second shell of neighbors. Lead atoms contain two oxygen atoms in the first coordination shell. Pb–O–M (M = Zr, Ti) links are identified in all precursors: the former at Zr/Ti 75/25 and the latter at lower Zr/Ti ratios. Although a pronounced tendency for the homocondensation of zirconium species is found down to a Zr/Ti 50/50 ratio, heterometallic links (Pb–O–M) are determined in PZT precursors.  相似文献

The (17)O NMR spectrum of CaAl(2)Si(2)O(8) glass shows two types of O sites that are not present in the crystalline material. One of these, with (17)O NMR parameters C(Q) = 2.3 MHz and delta = +20 ppm, has been assigned to a "tricluster" O, a local geometry in which the O is coordinated to three tetrahedrally coordinated atoms, either Al or Si. For crystalline CaAl(4)O(7), a tricluster site (with three Al linkages to O, i.e., OAl(3)) has been characterized experimentally, with a C(Q) of 2.5 MHz and a delta of about +40 ppm. Thus, a C(Q) value of 2.5 MHz or less seems to be a characteristic of such sites, although they may show a range of delta values. However, several different quantum chemical cluster calculations employing energy-optimized geometries for various tricluster species have given C(Q) values considerably larger than that seen experimentally in the CaAl(2)Si(2)O(8) glass (with minimum C(Q) values of 3.0 MHz even for all Al species). We have recently shown that for edge-sharing geometries, in which the tricluster O atoms participate in "two-membered rings" of composition Al(2)O(2), the calculated C(Q) values are considerably lower, in the range identified in the glass. However, such two-membered ring geometries had been observed only in crystalline inorganic alumoxanes. Ab initio MD calculations on related compositions, such as the calcium aluminosilicate, CAS, (CaO)(0.21)(Al(2)O(3))(0.12)(SiO(2))(0.67), show a small percentage of O triclusters, but none in two-membered rings of the Al(2)O(2) type, and the calculated C(Q) values for the triclusters that do exist are higher than seen in the original experiments on CaAl(2)Si(2)O(8) glass and not significantly different from those for two-coordinate O in Si-O-Al sites. However, a classical MD simulation of the structure of glassy aluminum silicate AS2, (Al(2)O(3))2(SiO(2)), gave a predominance of O triclusters within two-membered rings, with structures much like those seen in the alumoxanes. We have now calculated (17)O nuclear quadrupole coupling constants and NMR shielding values for clusters extracted from these simulations, using standard quantum chemical methods. The calculated C(Q) values for these O triclusters are now in the range observed experimentally in the CaAl(2)Si(2)O(8) glass (around 2.3-2.6 MHz) when the tricluster O is surrounded by three Al, two of which are part of an Al(2)O(2) ring. This supports the experimentalists' contention that such tricluster O species do exist and have been seen by (17)O NMR.  相似文献

Homogeneous crack-free lead zirconate titanate (Pb(Zr0.45Ti0.55)O3: PZT 45/55) films were prepared by a chemically modified sol-gel process using lead acetate trihydrate, zirconium n-propoxide, and titanium isopropoxide precursors. The coating solutions were modified by the addition of diethanolamine. Single and multilayer films were deposited with a 2000 rpm spin rate on fused silica and MgO(100) substrates. Multiple spin coating with an intermediate heat treatment in air at 400°C for 3 min between coatings was performed to obtain films up to 2 m in thickness. The formation of the tetragonal perovskite structure was found to depend on the intermediate firing temperature, final annealing temperature, and annealing time. A 650°C rapid thermal annealing treatment in oxygen was required to crystallize the PZT film into the perovskite structure. The films were characterized using optical spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and thermo-gravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC). The optical constants of the PZT films were evaluated from spectral transmittance and reflectance measurements. Optical constants are presented over the visible and near infrared region.  相似文献

A new soft-chemical transformation of layered perovskite oxides is described wherein K2O is sequentially extracted from the Ruddlesden-Popper (R-P) phase, K2La2Ti3O10 (I), yielding novel anion-deficient KLa2Ti3O(9.5) (II) and La2Ti3O9 (III). The transformation occurs in topochemical reactions of the R-P phase I with PPh4Br and PBu4Br (Ph = phenyl; Bu = n-butyl). The mechanism involves the elimination of KBr accompanied by decomposition of PR4+ (R = phenyl or n-butyl) that extracts oxygen from the titanate. Analysis of the organic products of decomposition reveals formation of Ph3PO, Ph3P, and Ph-Ph for R = phenyl, and Bu3PO, Bu3P along with butane, butene, and octane for R = butyl. The inorganic oxides II and III crystallize in tetragonal structures (II: P4/mmm, a = 3.8335(1) A, c = 14.334(1) A; III: I4/mmm, a = 3.8565(2) A, c = 24.645(2) A) that are related to the parent R-P phase. II is isotypic with the Dion-Jacobson phase, RbSr2Nb3O10, while III is a unique layered oxide consisting of charge-neutral La2Ti3O9 anion-deficient perovskite sheets stacked one over the other without interlayer cations. Interestingly, both II and III convert back to the parent R-P phase in a reaction with KNO3. While transformations of the R-P phases to other related layered/three-dimensional perovskite oxides in ion-exchange/metathesis/dehydration/reduction reactions are known, the simultaneous and reversible extraction of both cations and anions in the conversions K2La2Ti3O10 right harpoon over left harpoon KLa2Ti3O9.5 right harpoon over left harpoon La2Ti3O9 is reported here for the first time.  相似文献

In this study, (51)V, (45)Sc and (93)Nb MAS NMR combined with satellite transition spectroscopy analysis were used to characterize the complex solid mixtures: VNb(9(1-x))Ta(9x)O(25), ScNb((1-x))Ta(x)O(4) and ScNb(2(1-x))Ta(2x)VO(9) (x = 0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0). This led us to describe the structures of Sc and V sites. The conclusions were based on accurate values for (51)V quadrupole coupling and chemical shift tensors obtained with (51)V MAS NMR/SATRAS for VNb(9)O(25), VTa(9)O(25) and ScVO(4). The (45)Sc NMR parameters have been obtained for Sc(2)O(3), ScVO(4), ScNbO(4) and ScTaO(4). On the basis of (45)Sc NMR and data available from literature, the ranges of the (45)Sc chemical shift have been established for ScO(6) and ScO(8). The gradual change of the (45)Sc and (51)V NMR parameters with x confirms the formation of solid solutions in the process of synthesis of VNb(9(1-x))Ta(9x)O(25) and ScNb((1-x))Ta(x)O(4), in contrast to ScNb(2(1-x))Ta(2x)VO(9). The cation sublattice of ScNb((1-x))Ta(x)O(4) is found to be in octahedral coordination. The V sites in VNb(9(1-x))Ta(9x)O(25) are present in the form of slightly distorted tetrahedra. The (93)Nb NMR parameters have been obtained for VNb(9)O(25).  相似文献

PZT (PbZr0.53Ti0.47O3) films and powders have been prepared by a precursor mixture containing Pb(NO3)1.5EO3 (EO3=triethylene glycol) and Zr- and Ti-methoxy ethanolates. The gel films have been deposited on Si/Ti/Pt substrates and on glass substrates from which they can easily be removed. The PZT films on the Si/Ti/Pt substrates were prepared with thicknesses up to 200 nm per layer after heating to 700°C. The phase development on heat-treatment of loose gel films to yield PZT was investigated by Powder-XRD, FT-IR, SEM-EDS, TEM-EDS, thermo-mass spectroscopy and DSC and the PZT was found to form in the region 550–700°C. PZT powders of 50–5000 nm sizes were prepared by hydrolysis under basic conditions and washing with water followed by heat-treatment to 650°C.  相似文献

Lead magnesioniobate PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 (PMN) has been prepared using lead oxide and magnesium niobate. Factors that influence the perovskite/pyrochlore ratio in the PMN structure have been studied. In order for the maximal amount of the perovskite phase to be obtained, synthesis should be carried out at 850?C900°C; an excess of MgO (1?C5 wt %) does not exert a positive effect. An excess of PbO (5?C7 wt %) allows one to obtain a phase that contains 85% PMN, with the perovskite structure. The perovskite lattice is found to be stabilized as a result of cationic substitutions (Yb, Lu) in the Mg-Nb sublattice due to the formation of solid solution Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)1 ? x Yb(Lu) x O3, where 0 ?? x ?? 0.9.  相似文献

The etching mechanism of Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) thin films in Cl2/Ar plasma was investigated through the analysis of gas mixing ratio on volume and surface chemistries. Experiments showed that PZT etch rate keeps a constant value up to 40% of Ar addition into Cl2/Ar plasma. Langmuir probe measurement showed the noticeable influence of Cl2/Ar mixing ratio on electron temperature and electron density. The modeling of volume kinetics for neutral and charged particles indicated monotonic changes of both densities and fluxes of active species such as chlorine atoms and positive ions. The analysis of surface kinetics showed that PZT etch rate behavior may be explained by the combination of spontaneous and ion-assisted etch mechanisms.  相似文献

Lead zirconate titanate, Pb(Zr, Ti)O3 (PZT), crystallizes in a perovskite form from an intermediate pyrochlore phase and the effects of the presence of perovskite seeds have been considered. PZT powders have been obtained from lead acetate and Zr and Ti alkoxides using a sol-gel process involving a chemical modification by acetylacetone. Perovskite seeds have been introduced during the process by means of colloidal suspensions in acetylacetone. The seeding effects have been evidenced from DTA and XRD measurements, the formation temperature of pure perovskite phase being lowered by 50°C with 5 wt% seeds. More dense powder microstructure is observed in presence of seeds. Carbon paste electrodes bulk-modified with Bi(2)O(3)were used for the determination of Cd(II) and Pb(II). The best composition was 1% (wt%) Bi(2)O(3) in the paste. The measurements were made by differential pulse voltammetry in the potential range from -1.2 V to -0.3 V. The peak potential of the reoxidation of Cd is -0.85 V, and of Pb -0.60 V vs. SCE. The lowest concentration that could be determined was 5 microg L(-1) of both metals (preconcentration time 240 s), the relative standard deviation was 3.5%-5.0% (four determinations). The correlation coefficient ( r(2)) of the calibration curves was 0.9966 (for Cd) and 0.9971 (for Pb). The Bi(2)O(3)-modified electrode could be used for the analysis of drinking water, mineral water and urine.  相似文献

Five new vanadium selenites, Ca(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(2), Sr(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3), Ba(V(2)O(5))(SeO(3)), Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), have been synthesized and characterized. Their crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compounds exhibit one- or two-dimensional structures consisting of corner- and edge-shared VO(4), VO(5), VO(6), and SeO(3) polyhedra. Of the reported materials, A(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) (A = Sr(2+) or Pb(2+)) are noncentrosymmetric (NCS) and polar. Powder second-harmonic generation (SHG) measurements revealed SHG efficiencies of approximately 130 and 150 × α-SiO(2) for Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), respectively. Piezoelectric charge constants of 43 and 53 pm/V, and pyroelectric coefficients of -27 and -42 μC/m(2)·K at 70 °C were obtained for Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), respectively. Frequency dependent polarization measurements confirmed that the materials are not ferroelectric, that is, the observed polarization cannot be reversed. In addition, the lone-pair on the Se(4+) cation may be considered as stereo-active consistent with calculations. For all of the reported materials, infrared, UV-vis, thermogravimetric, and differential thermal analysis measurements were performed. The monoclinic perovskite BiCo(1-x) Fe(x) O(3) (x≈0.7) undergoes a second-order structural transition from tetragonal to monoclinic, which is accompanied by a rotation of the polarization vector from the [001] to [111] directions of a pseudo cubic cell. The crystal structure, determined by electron diffraction and powder synchrotron X-ray diffraction, was the same as that of Pb(Ti(1-x) Zr(x) )O(3) at the morphotropic phase boundary.  相似文献
