The hierarchy of integrable nonlinear equations associated with the quadratic bundle is considered. The expressions for the solution of linearization of these equations and their conservation law in the terms of solutions of corresponding Lax pairs are found. It is shown for the first member of the hierarchy that the conservation law is connected with the solution of linearized equation due to the Noether's theorem. The local hierarchy and three nonlocal ones of the infinitesimal symmetries and conservation laws explicitly expressed through the variables of the nonlinear equations are derived.  相似文献

Integrability conditions for difference equations admitting a second order formal recursion operator are presented and the derivation of symmetries and canonical conservation laws are discussed. In a generic case, some of these conditions yield nonlocal conservation laws. A new integrable equation satisfying the second order integrability conditions is presented and its integrability is established by the construction of symmetries, conservation laws and a 3 × 3 Lax representation. Finally, via the relation of the symmetries of this equation to the Bogoyavlensky lattice, an integrable asymmetric quad equation and a consistent pair of difference equations are derived.  相似文献

By the introduction of nonlocal basonic and fermionic variables we construct a recursion symmetry of the super KdV equation, leading to a hierarchy of bosonic symmetries and one of fermionic symmetries. The hierarchies of bosonic and fermionic conservation laws arise in a natural way in the construction.  相似文献

The μ-Camassa–Holm (μCH) equation is a nonlinear integrable partial differential equation closely related to the Camassa–Holm and the Hunter–Saxton equations. This equation admits quadratic pseudo-potentials which allow us to compute some first-order nonlocal symmetries. The found symmetries preserve the mean of solutions. Finally, we discuss also the associated μCH equation.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the negative flows of the AKNS hierarchy. The main result of this work is the functional representation of the extended AKNS hierarchy, composed of both positive (classical) and negative flows. We derive a finite set of functional equations, constructed by means of the Miwa's shifts, which contains all equations of the hierarchy. Using the obtained functional representation we convert the nonlocal equations of the negative subhierarchy into local systems of higher order, derive the generating function of the conservation laws and the N-dark-soliton solutions for the extended AKNS hierarchy. As an additional result we obtain the functional representation of the Landau–Lifshitz hierarchy.  相似文献

We show that the so-called hidden potential symmetries considered in a recent paper [M.L. Gandarias, New potential symmetries for some evolution equations, Physica A 387 (2008) 2234-2242] are ordinary potential symmetries that can be obtained using the method introduced by Bluman and collaborators [G.W. Bluman, S. Kumei, Symmetries and Differential Equations, Springer, New York, 1989; G.W. Bluman, G.J. Reid, S. Kumei, New classes of symmetries for partial differential equations, J. Math. Phys. 29 (1988) 806-811]. In fact, these are simplest potential symmetries associated with potential systems which are constructed with single conservation laws having no constant characteristics. Furthermore we classify the conservation laws for classes of porous medium equations, and then using the corresponding conserved (potential) systems we search for potential symmetries. This is the approach one needs to adopt in order to determine the complete list of potential symmetries. The provenance of potential symmetries is explained for the porous medium equations by using potential equivalence transformations. Point and potential equivalence transformations are also applied to deriving new results on potential symmetries and corresponding invariant solutions from known ones. In particular, in this way the potential systems, potential conservation laws and potential symmetries of linearizable equations from the classes of differential equations under consideration are exhaustively described. Infinite series of infinite-dimensional algebras of potential symmetries are constructed for such equations.  相似文献

Abstract

Differential forms are used for construction of nonlocal symmetries of partial differential equations with conservation laws. Every conservation law allows to introduce a nonlocal variable corresponding to a conserved quantity. A prolongation technique is suggested for action of symmetry operators on these nonlocal variables. It is shown how to introduce these variables for the symmetry group to remain the same. A new hidden symmetry and corresponding group-invariant solution are found for gas dynamic equations.  相似文献

We show that one can generate a class of nontrivial conservation laws for second-orderpartial differential equations using some recent results dealing with theaction of any Lie—Bäklund symmetry generator of the equivalent first-ordersystem on the respective conservation law. These conserved vectors are nonlocal asthey are constructed from associated nonlocal symmetries of the partial differentialequation. We demonstrate the complete procedure on certain classes of waveequations with variable wave speeds. Some of these have been considered in theliterature using alternative methods.  相似文献

The relationship between the approximateLie-Backlund symmetries and the approximate conservedforms of a perturbed equation is studied. It is shownthat a hierarchy of identities exists by which thecomponents of the approximate conserved vector or theassociated approximate Lie-Backlund symmetries aredetermined by recursive formulas. The results areapplied to certain classes of linear and nonlinear waveequations as well as a perturbed Korteweg-de Vriesequation. We construct approximate conservation laws forthese equations without regard to aLagrangian.  相似文献

Nonlocal symmetries related to the Bäcklund transformation (BT) for the modified KdV-sine-Gordon (mKdV-SG) equation are obtained by requiring the mKdV-SG equation and its BT form invariant under the infinitesimal transformations. Then through the parameter expansion procedure, an infinite number of new nonlocal symmetries and new nonlocal conservation laws related to the nonlocal symmetries are derived. Finally, several new finite and infinite dimensional nonlinear systems are presented by applying the nonlocal symmetries as symmetry constraint conditions on the BT.  相似文献

We show that the conservation laws for the geodesic equation which are associated to affine symmetries can be obtained from symmetries of the Lagrangian for affinely parametrized geodesics according to Noether’s theorem, in contrast to claims found in the literature. In particular, using Aminova’s classification of affine motions of Lorentzian manifolds, we show in detail how affine motions define generalized symmetries of the geodesic Lagrangian. We compute all infinitesimal proper affine symmetries and the corresponding geodesic conservation laws for all homogeneous solutions to the Einstein field equations in four spacetime dimensions with each of the following energy–momentum contents: vacuum, cosmological constant, perfect fluid, pure radiation, and homogeneous electromagnetic fields.  相似文献

In this paper, the symmetry group of the (2+1)-dimensional Painlev? integrable Burgers (PIB) equations is studied by means of the classical symmetry method. Ignoring the discussion of the infinite-dimensional subalgebra, we construct an optimal system of one-dimensional group invariant solutions. Furthermore, by using the conservation laws of the reduced equations, we obtain nonlocal symmetries and exact solutions of the PIB equations.  相似文献

We present new results on the correspondence between symmetries, conservation laws and variational principles for field equations in general non-abelian gauge theories. Our main result states that second order field equations possessing translational and gauge symmetries and the corresponding conservation laws are always derivable from a variational principle. We also show by the way of examples that the above result fails in general for third order field equations.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the negative flows of the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger hierarchy (DNLSH). The main result of this work is the functional representation of the extended DNLSH, composed of both positive (classical) and negative flows. We derive a finite set of functional equations, constructed by means of the Miwa's shifts, which contains all equations of the hierarchy. Using the obtained functional representation we convert the nonlocal equations of the negative subhierarchy into local ones of higher order, derive the generating function of the conservation laws and the N-soliton solutions for the extended DNLSH under non-vanishing boundary conditions.  相似文献

We study conservation laws and potential symmetries of (systems of) differential equations applying equivalence relations generated by point transformations between the equations. A Fokker–Planck equation and the Burgers equation are considered as examples. Using reducibility of them to the one-dimensional linear heat equation, we construct complete hierarchies of local and potential conservation laws for them and describe, in some sense, all their potential symmetries. Known results on the subject are interpreted in the proposed framework. This paper is an extended comment on the paper of Mei and Zhang [Int. J. Theor. Phys. 45: 2095–2102, 2006].  相似文献

Nonlocal symmetries of the (1+1)-dimensional Sinh-Gordon (ShG) equation are obtained by requiring it, together with its Bäcklund transformation (BT), to be form invariant under the infinitesimal transformation. Naturally, the spectrum parameter in the BT enters the nonlocal symmetries, and thus through the parameter expansion procedure, infinitely many nonlocal symmetries of the ShG equation can be generated accordingly. Making advantages of the consistent conditions introduced when solving the nonlocal symmetires, some new nonlocal conservation laws of the ShG equation related to the nonlocal symmetries are obtained straightforwardly. Finally, taking the nonlocal symmetries as symmetry constraint conditions imposing on the BT, some new finite and infinite dimensional nonlinear systems are constructed.  相似文献

Kara and Mahomed have derived an identity, which does not rely on use of a Lagrangian as needed to obtain conservation laws by Noethers theorem. By using the identity and symbolic computation, conservation laws arising from nonlocal symmetries are obtained for Fokker-Planck equation and burgers equation.  相似文献

It is shown that compatible symplectic structures lead in a natural way to hereditary symmetries. (We recall that a hereditary symmetry is an operator-valued function which immediately yields a hierarchy of evolution equations, each having infinitely many commuting symmetries all generated by this hereditary symmetry. Furthermore this hereditary symmetry usually describes completely the soliton structure and the conservation laws of these equations). This result then provide us with a method for constructing hereditary symmetries and hence exactly solvable evolution equations. In addition we show how symplectic structures transform under Bäcklund transformations. This leads to a method for generating a whole class of symplectic structures from a given one.Several examples and applications are given illustrating the above results. Also the connection of our results with those of Gelfand and Dikii, and of Magri is briefly pointed out.  相似文献

We consider the problem on group classification and conservation laws for first-order evolution equations. Subclasses of these general equations which are quasi-self-adjoint and self-adjoint are obtained. By using the recent new conservation theorem due to Ibragimov, conservation laws for equations admiting self-adjoint equations are established. The results are illustrated applying them to the inviscid Burgers equation. In particular an infinite number of new symmetries of this equation are found.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss symmetries of classes of wave equations that arise as a consequence of some Vaidya metrics. We show how the wave equation is altered by the underlying geometry. In particular, a range of consequences on the form of the wave equation, the symmetries and number of conservation laws, inter alia, are altered by the manifold on which the model wave rests. We find Lie and Noether point symmetries of the corresponding wave equations and give some reductions. Some interesting physical conclusions relating to conservation laws such as energy, linear and angular momenta are also determined. We also present some interesting comparisons with the standard wave equations on a flat geometry. Finally, we pursue the existence of higher-order variational symmetries of equations on nonflat manifolds.  相似文献
