An efficient and high-power diode-laser single-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser with cw emission at 1342nm is presented. With a crystal single-end-pumped by a fibre-coupled diode laser, an output power of 7.36 W is obtained from the laser cavity of concave-convex, eorresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 32.8%. The laser is operated in TEM00 mode with small rms noise amplitude of 0.3%. This represents, to the best of our knowledge, the highest power obtained from a diode-laser single-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 cw laser at 1342nm 80 far.  相似文献

通过对Nd:YVO4晶体吸收特性的研究,对激光输出功率、斜效率与抽运动率的关系进行了理论分析,发现Nd:YVO4激光器在磊功率激光二极管抽运的条件下,激光斜效率随抽运功率的增加而减小。实验表明,理论结果与实验符合得较好。选用2Nd^3+掺杂的原子数分数为0.5%、通光长度为5mm的Nd:YVO4晶体,在抽运功率5W左右时,输功率为3W左右的,获得了71.5%的激光斜效率。  相似文献

研制了光纤耦合的激光二极管抽运的单频稳频Nd:YVO4激光器。在输入抽运动率为6W的情况下,获得2W稳定单频红外输出,光-光转换效率为33.3%,电-光转换效率为10%。通过边带稳频系统将输出激光锁定在法布里-珀罗共焦参考腔的中心频率上,频率稳定性优于400kHz。  相似文献

We report the compact diode-pumped continuous-wave (CW) Nd:LuV04 lasers operated at 916nm and 458nm for the first time. The maximum output power of 780mW at 916nm laser is obtained with a slope efficiency of 9.3%. We generate 50roW of 458nm blue laser employing a type-Ⅰ critical phase-matched LBO crystal.  相似文献

We report a high-power high-efficient continuous-wave (cw) diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 1342-nm laser with a short plane-parallel cavity and an efficient cw intracavity frequency-doubled red laser at 671 nm with a compact three-element cavity. At incident pump power of 20.6 W, a maximum output power of 7 W at 1342 nm is obtained with a slope effciency of 37.3%. By inserting a type-Ⅰ critical phase-matched LBO crystal as intracavity frequencydoubler, a cw red output as much as 2.85-W is achieved with an incident pump power of 16.9 W, inducing an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 16.9%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest output of diodepumped solid-state Nd:YVO4 red laser. During half an hour, the red output is very stable, and the instability of output power is less than 1%.  相似文献

报道了半导体激光泵浦Nd:YVO4激光器在1.34μm的输出特性,当入射的泵浦光功率为515mW时,最大1.34μm激光输出功率达157mW,光-光转换效率为30.5%,研究了激光器的纵模特性及弛豫噪声与泵浦功率的关系,发现不同的纵模具有各自不同的弛豫振荡频率。  相似文献

A 20.2 W laser-diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 slab laser with a hybrid resonator at 1342 nm was demonstrated. The slope efficiency and optical-to-optical conversation efficiency were 30% and 23%, respectively. A model of the laser-diode pumped solid-state laser is developed to deduce the minimum average radii of the pump beam in the solid medium, since the smaller the cavity waist, the higher the laser output power is expected to be. With an appropriate coupling system consisting of the collimating lens, prism pair and focusing lens, a diode-pumped single-frequency Nd:YVO4/KTP intracavity frequency-doubling cw laser has been demonstrated through the precise temperature control of the Nd:YVO4 crystal, the KTP crystal and the diode laser. The 532nm single-frequency output power of 40.4mW (in fact 55mW if the reflection loss of the triangular prism is taken into account) is obtained for an incident power of 515mW. It is derived theoretically and is verified in experiment that the frequency drift of the free-running laser can be reduced by increasing the cavity length.  相似文献

By using a piece of GaAs wafer as the saturable absorber, the performance of the passively Q-switched composite Nd:YVO4 laser with different output couplers has been demonstrated for the first time as far as we know. The largest continuous wave output power of 1.52 W is obtained at the incident pump power of 5.31 W, giving an optical conversion efficiency of 28.7% and a slope efficiency of 30.2%. The shortest pulse width of 11 ns, the largest single-pulse energy of 2.49 μJ and the highest peak power of 190 W are also obtained.  相似文献

A simple folded-cavity used for intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser was analyzed by transmission matrix and numerical calculation. We have selected a set of proper cavity parameters which can be used readily by operating at high power levels with low threshold, high efficiency, and wide dynamic operating range. 5.6-W TEM00 green laser has been obtained at a 22-W pumping power and with an optical–optical conversion efficiency of 25.5%.  相似文献

A compact folded three-mirror cavity with length of 100 mm is optimized to obtain high efficient 457 nm laser. When the incident pump power into Nd:YVO4 is 16.3 W, as high as 1.52 W continuous wave 457 nm blue laser is achieved by LBO intracavity frequency doubled. We report a high-power continuous-wave(cw) diode-pumped efficient 1.34 μm Nd:YVO4 laser. The laser properties of a low Nd3+-doped concentration of the Nd:YVO4 crystal operating at 1.34 μm formed with a simple plane-concave cavity have been demonstrated. With the incident pump power of 22 W, an output power of 8.24 W was obtained, giving an optical conversion efficiency of 37.5% and slope efficiency of 40%. The thermal effects of cw end-pumped solid-state lasers were studied.  相似文献

The thermal effect and the heat generation in diode-end-pumped continuous-wave 914-nm Nd:YVO4 lasers are investigated in detail. A theoretical model of a diode end-pumped solid-state laser is constructed to analyse the influence of fractional thermal loading on the thermal effect in the Nd:YVO4 laser based on finite element analysis. The thermal focal lengths and the end-surface deformations of laser rods in Nd:YVO4 quasi-three-level and four-level lasers are measured and compared with the results obtained by ordinary interferometry for the demonstration of higher thermal loading in 914-nm laser. Finally the fractional thermal loading in the Nd:YVO4 quasi-three-level laser is calculated by matching the experimental and the simulated end deformations.  相似文献

In this paper, a stable end-pumped intracavity-frequency-doubled green laser was demonstrated. The interaction length of different pump systems before setting up the experiment was analyzed in order to find out an effective pump system. The experimental results indicate that the pump system in our configuration is beneficial to the efficient CW Nd lasers. A continue-grown composite crystal YVO4/Nd:YVO4, with Nd3+ concentration doping of 0.3 at.%, is used as laser medium. With an incident pump power of 27.5 W, as high as 7.2 W of CW output power at 532 nm was achieved. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 26.2% was obtained in CW modes with a flat-flat cavity design.  相似文献

We report on fundamental and intracavity frequency-doubled emission in a miniature Nd:YVO4 (3×3×1 mm) laser. A maximum slope efficiency of ηs=58.6%, with optical efficiency of η0=53.0% at 780 mW pump power was realized in a TEM00 output beam. To obtain the optimum pump-beam focusing conditions we applied a new formalism in which the pump-beam propagation in the active medium was described by its M2 factor. A good agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental results was observed. In second-harmonic regime, obtained by a KTP crystal, 230 mW green power that corresponds to 54% nonlinear conversion efficiency was reached.  相似文献
