The nonlinear Boltzmann equation with a discretized spatial variable is studied in a Banach space of absolutely integrable functions of the velocity variables. Conservation laws and positivity are utilized to extend weak local solutions to a global solution. The Galilean invariance and the induced thermo-hydrodynamics of the lattice Boltzmann Bhatnagar--Gross--Krook model are proposed together with their rigorous theoretical background. From the viewpoint of group invariance, recovering the Galilean invariance for the isothermal lattice Boltzmann Bhatnagar--Gross--Krook equation (LBGKE) induces a new natural thermal-dynamical system, which is compatible with the elementary statistical thermodynamics.  相似文献

基于格子Boltzmann方法,提出了求解耦合不可压缩流场输运方程的一种改进数值方法. 该方法使用格子Boltzmann方法求解流场方程,并根据流场格子模型的密度分布函数构建了输运方程的二阶离散格式. 通过二维平板通道流场输运系统验证了该方法的有效性.数值结果表明,该方法可以有效地减少计算过程中出现的非物理耗散, 并克服了传统模型所需巨大存储量的缺点.  相似文献

We define an iterative scheme to solve the nonlinear Boltzmann equation. Conservation rules are maintained at each iterative step. We apply this method to a spatially uniform and isotropic velocity distribution function on the Maxwell and very-hard-particle models. A particular example is evaluated and results are compared with the exact solution. It shows to be a very fast convergent approach.  相似文献

The central problem of the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is to construct a discrete equilibrium. In this paper, a multi-speed 1D cell-model of Boltzmann equation is proposed, in which the cell-population equilibrium, a direct non-negative approximation to the continuous Maxwellian distribution, plays an important part. By applying the explicit one-order Chapman--Enskog distribution, the model reduces the transportation and collision, two basic evolution steps in LBM, to the transportation of the non-equilibrium distribution. Furthermore, 1D dam-break problem is performed and the numerical results agree well with the analytic solutions.  相似文献

We detail the construction of a family of lattice gas automata based on a model of 't Hooft, proceeding by use of symmetry principles to define first the kinematics of the model and then the dynamics. A spurious conserved quantity appears; we use it to effect a radical transformation of the model into one whose spacetime configurations are equivalent to the two-dimensional states of an exactly solvable statistical mechanics model, the symmetric eight-vertex model with parameters restricted to a disorder variety. In this paper, a lattice Boltzmann model with an amending function is proposed for the generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation that has the form ut+uux+αuxx+βuxxx+γuxxxx=0. With the Chapman-Enskog expansion, the governing evolution equation is recovered correctly from the continuous Boltzmann equation. It is found that the numerical results agree well with the analytical solutions.  相似文献

We coupled the lattice Boltzmann method with enhanced collisions for hydrodynamics with a model for the anisotropic liquid/solid phase transition. The model is based on a simple reaction model. We consider the Boltzmann-Grad limit for the Lorentz, or wind-tree, model. We prove that if is a fixed configuration of scatterer centers belonging to a set of full measure with respect to the Poisson distribution with parameter >0, then the evolution of an initial a.c. particle density tends in the Boltzmann-Grad limit to the solution of the Boltzmann equation for the model. As an intermediate step we prove that the process of the free path lengths and impact parameters induced by the Lebesgue measure on a small region tends to a limiting independent process.  相似文献

We present several ballistic models of the Lorentz gas in two-dimensional lattices with deterministic and stochastic deflection rules, and their corresponding Liouville equations. Boltzmann-level-equation results are obtained for the diffusion coefficient and velocity autocorrelation function for models with stochastic deflection rules. The long-time behavior of the mean square displacement is briefly discussed and the possibility of abnormal diffusion indicated. Even if the diffusion coefficient exists, its low-density limit may not be given correctly by the Boltzmann equation.  相似文献

The solutions are shown to satisfy physically naturala priori bounds, time-independent inL 1. In this paper,we present a Cole-Hopf transformation based lattice Boltzmann(LB) model for solving one-dimensional Burgers' equation,and compared to available LB models,the effect of nonlinear convection term can be eliminated.Through Chapman-Enskog analysis,it can be found that the converted diffusion equation based on the Cole-Hopf transformation can be recovered correctly from present LB model.Some numerical tests are also performed to validate the present LB model,and the numerical results show that,similar to previous LB models,the present model also has a second-order convergence rate in space,but it is more accurate than the previous ones.  相似文献

A phase-field-based lattice Boltzmann model is proposed for the interface capturing of multi-phase flows based on the conservative Allen–Cahn equation(ACE).By adopting the improved form of a relaxation matrix and an equilibrium distribution function,the time derivative?t(φ)induced by recovering the diffusion term in ACE is eliminated.The conducted Chapman–Enskog analysis demonstrates that the correct conservative ACE is recovered.Four benchmark cases including Zalesak’s disk rotation,vortex droplet,droplet impact on thin film,and Rayleigh–Taylor instability are investigated to validate the proposed model.The numerical results indicate that the proposed model can accurately describe the complex interface deformation.  相似文献
