We show that bicovariant bimodules as defined by Woronowicz are in one-to-one correspondence with the Drinfeld quantum double representations. We then prove that a differential calculus associated to a bicovariant bimodule of dimension n is connected to the existence of a particular (n+1)-dimensional representation of the double. An example of bicovariant differential calculus on the nonquasitriangular quantum group E q (2) is developed. The construction is studied in terms of Hochschild cohomology and a correspondence between differential calculi and 1-cocycles is proved. Some differences of calculi on quantum and finite groups with respect to Lie groups are stressed.  相似文献

To any locally finite representation of a given double crossed sum (product) Lie algebra (group), we associate a stable anti Yetter-Drinfeld (SAYD) module over the bicrossed product Hopf algebra which arises from the semidualization procedure. We prove a van Est isomorphism between the relative Lie algebra cohomology of the total Lie algebra and the Hopf cyclic cohomology of the corresponding Hopf algebra with coefficients in the associated SAYD module.  相似文献

This paper gives the mathematical foundations for the BRS quantization procedure. We first discuss the classical finite dimensional BRS procedure and relate it to Marsden-Weinstein reduction. This leads to interesting relations between Lie algebras and Clifford algebras and a novel way of computing Lie algebra cohomology in terms of the spin representation. We then discuss infinite-dimensional Clifford algebras and their spin representations. We find that in the infinite-dimensional case, the analog of the finite-dimensional construction of Lie algebra cohomology breaks down, the obstruction (anomaly) being the Kac-Peterson class which is the cohomology class associated to the representation of the Lie algebra on spinors which is now only a projective representation. Tensoring by a projective representation of opposite class kills the obstruction and gives rise to a cohomology theory and a quantization procedure. We discuss the gradings and Hermitian structures on the absolute and relative complexes.  相似文献

In this paper, we study homogeneous geodesics in homogeneous Finsler spaces. We first give a simple criterion that characterizes geodesic vectors. We show that the geodesics on a Lie group, relative to a bi-invariant Finsler metric, are the cosets of the one-parameter subgroups. The existence of infinitely many homogeneous geodesics on the compact semi-simple Lie group is established. We introduce the notion of a naturally reductive homogeneous Finsler space. As a special case, we study homogeneous geodesics in homogeneous Randers spaces. Finally, we study some curvature properties of homogeneous geodesics. In particular, we prove that the S-curvature vanishes along the homogeneous geodesics.  相似文献

We compute the first differential cohomology of the Lie superalgebra ${\mathcal{K}(2)}$ of contact vector fields on the (1, 2)-dimensional real superspace with coefficients in the superspace of linear differential operators between the superspaces of weighted densities—a superisation of a result by Feigin and Fuchs. We give explicit expressions of 1-cocycles generating these spaces.  相似文献

In this article we consider quantum phase space reduction when zero is a regular value of the momentum map. By analogy with the classical case we define the BRST cohomology in the framework of deformation quantization. We compute the quantum BRST cohomology in terms of a "quantum" Chevalley-Eilenberg cohomology of the Lie algebra on the constraint surface. To prove this result, we construct an explicit chain homotopy, both in the classical and quantum case, which is constructed out of a prolongation of functions on the constraint surface. We have observed the phenomenon that the quantum BRST cohomology cannot always be used for quantum reduction, because generally its zero part is no longer a deformation of the space of all smooth functions on the reduced phase space. But in case the group action is "sufficiently nice", e.g. proper (which is the case for all compact Lie group actions), it is shown for a strongly invariant star product that the BRST procedure always induces a star product on the reduced phase space in a rather explicit and natural way. Simple examples and counterexamples are discussed.  相似文献

In this Letter, we construct a natural contracting homotopy in the usual cochain complex of free Lie algebras. As a consequence, we prove that the triple cohomology of Lie algebras coincides with a slightly different form of the standard cohomology theory.  相似文献

Lichnerowicz–Jacobi cohomology of Jacobi manifolds is reviewed. The use of the associated Lie algebroid allows to prove that the Lichnerowicz–Jacobi cohomology is invariant under conformal changes of the Jacobi structure. We also compute the Lichnerowicz–Jacobi cohomology for a large variety of examples.  相似文献

The Kostant multiplicity formula is a recipe for computing the weight multiplicities of an irreducible representation of a compact semi-simple Lie group. We describe here a generalization of Kostant's formula: Suppose τ is a Hamiltonian action of a compact Lie group on a compact symplectic manifold. For an appropriate «quantization», τQ, of τ the weight multiplicaties of τQ are given by a formula similar to Konstant's. There is also an asymptotic version of this formula which gives a recipe for computing the Duistermaat Heckman polynomials associated with τ.  相似文献

Following Leites, we define a cohomology for Lie superalgebras. A number of combinatorial identities are presented as well as two theorems which prove to be very useful in calculations. We then introduce the notion of deformations of Lie superalgebras and look at the deformations of the super-Poincaré algebra and of osp(4/2).  相似文献

We study theN-extended super-Ka-Moody algebras, i.e. extensions of the Lie algebra of the loop group over the super-circleA N . The extensions are characterized by 2-cocycles which are computed in terms of the cyclic cohomology of the Grassmann algebra withN generators. The graded algebra of super-derivations compatible with each extension is determined. The casesN=1,2,3 are examined in detail and their relation with the Ademollo et al. superconformal algebras is discussed. We examine the possibility of defining new superconformal algebras which, forN>1, generalize theN=1 Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz algebra.  相似文献

In this paper a general van Est type isomorphism is proved. The isomorphism is between the Lie algebra cohomology of a bicrossed sum Lie algebra and the Hopf cyclic cohomology of its Hopf algebra. We first prove a one to one correspondence between stable-anti-Yetter-Drinfeld (SAYD) modules over the total Lie algebra and those modules over the associated Hopf algebra. In contrast to the non-general case done in our previous work, here the van Est isomorphism is proved at the first level of a natural spectral sequence, rather than at the level of complexes. It is proved that the Connes-Moscovici Hopf algebras do not admit any finite dimensional SAYD modules except the unique one-dimensional one found by Connes-Moscovici in 1998. This is done by extending our techniques to work with the infinite dimensional Lie algebra of formal vector fields. At the end, the one to one correspondence is applied to construct a highly nontrivial four dimensional SAYD module over the Schwarzian Hopf algebra. We then illustrate the whole theory on this example. Finally explicit representative cocycles of the cohomology classes for this example are calculated.  相似文献

We prove a conjecture which expresses the bigraded Poisson-de Rham homology of the nilpotent cone of a semisimple Lie algebra in terms of the generalized (one-variable) Kostka polynomials, via a formula suggested by Lusztig. This allows us to construct a canonical family of filtrations on the flag variety cohomology, and hence on irreducible representations of the Weyl group, whose Hilbert series are given by the generalized Kostka polynomials. We deduce consequences for the cohomology of all Springer fibers. In particular, this computes the grading on the zeroth Poisson homology of all classical finite W-algebras, as well as the filtration on the zeroth Hochschild homology of all quantum finite W-algebras, and we generalize to all homology degrees. As a consequence, we deduce a conjecture of Proudfoot on symplectic duality, relating in type A the Poisson homology of Slodowy slices to the intersection cohomology of nilpotent orbit closures. In the last section, we give an analogue of our main theorem in the setting of mirabolic D-modules.  相似文献

We interpretN=2 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) formulated by Kazama and Suzuki via Goddard-Kent-Olive (GKO) construction from a viewpoint of the Lie algebra cohomology theory for the affine Lie algebra. We determine the cohomology group completely in terms of a certain subset of the affine Weyl group. We find that this subset describing the cohomology group can be obtained from its classical counterpart by the action of the Dynkin diagram automorphisms. Some algebra automorphisms of theN=2 superconformal algebra are also formulated. Utilizing the algebra automorphisms, we study the field identification problem for the branching coefficient modules in the GKO-construction. Also the structure of the Poincaré polynomial defined for eachN=2 theory is revealed.Dedicated to Professor Noboru Tanaka on his sixtieth birthday  相似文献

The forms of the invariant primitive tensors for the simple Lie algebras Al, Bl, Cl, and Dl are investigated. A new family of symmetric invariant tensors is introduced using the non-trivial cocycles for the Lie algebra cohomology. For the Al algebra it is explicitly shown that the generic forms of these tensors become zero except for the l primitive ones and that they give rise to the l primitive Casimir operators. Some recurrence and duality relations are given for the Lie algebra cocycles. Tables for the 3- and 5-cocycles for su(3) are su(4) are also provided. Finally, new relations involving the d and f su(n) tensors are given.  相似文献

In this letter, we study some invariants of integrable twisted Poisson manifolds under Morita equivalence. We show that two twisted symplectic manifolds are Morita equivalent if and only if their fundamental groups are isomorphic. Moreover, the first cohomology group of twisted Poisson manifolds is invariant under Morita equivalence. Finally, we prove that if two twisted Poisson manifolds are Morita equivalent, then their representation categories are equivalent.   相似文献

The aim of this Letter is twofold. On the one hand, we discuss two possible definitions of complex structures on Poisson-Lie groups and we give a complete classification of the isomorphism classes of complex Lie-Poisson structures on the group SL(2, ). On the other hand, we give an algebraic characterization of a class of solutions of the Yang-Baxter equations which contains the well-known Drinfeld solutions [1]; in particular, we prove the existence of a nontrivial Lie-Poisson structure on any simply connected real semi-simple Lie Group G. Other low dimensional examples will appear elsewhere.Chercheur qualifié au FNRS.  相似文献

In our recent paper “The variational Poisson cohomology” (2011) we computed the dimension of the variational Poisson cohomology for any quasiconstant coefficient ℓ × ℓ matrix differential operator K of order N with invertible leading coefficient, provided that is a normal algebra of differential functions over a linearly closed differential field. In the present paper we show that, for K skewadjoint, the -graded Lie superalgebra is isomorphic to the finite dimensional Lie superalgebra . We also prove that the subalgebra of “essential” variational Poisson cohomology, consisting of classes vanishing on the Casimirs of K, is zero. This vanishing result has applications to the theory of bi-Hamiltonian structures and their deformations. At the end of the paper we consider also the translation invariant case.  相似文献
