The pattern at 3.5 keV in Au spectra recently identified as caused by multiple inner vacacies in Au26+ -Au27+ by Kiyokawa et al. is reinterpreted as unresolved 3d-5f and 3d-6f transition arrays in Au47+ -Au52+. Comparison with the same pattern in tungsten spectra from laser-produced plasma supports the identification.  相似文献

It is shown experimentally that under energetic electron bombardment the backscattered electrons from solid targets contribute significantly (∼80%) to the observed total electron yield, even for targets of high backscattering coefficients. It is further found that for tungsten (Z = 74) with a backscattering coefficient of about 0.50, about 20% of the total electron yield is contributed by the total secondary electrons for impact energies in the range of 8–28 keV. The yield of true backscattered electrons at normal incidence (η 0), total secondary electrons (δ) and the total electron yield (δ tot) produced in collisions of 8–28 keV electrons with W have been measured and compared with predictions of available theories. The present results indicate that the constant-loss of primary electrons in the target plays a significant role in producing the secondary electrons and that it yields a better fit to the experiment compared to the power-law.   相似文献

Abstract

A Monte Carlo calculation for the energy spectra of electrons and positrons produced in infinite and semiinfinite water phantoms by photons ranging in energies from 20 keV to 1 GeV are presented. The dominant processes considered are the photoelectric effect, Auger effect, Compton effect, pair, and triplet production. Bremsstrahlung produced by electrons and positrons with energies greater than 1 MeV is also included. The effect of multiple Compton scattering, not considered in the earlier calculation, for the infinite phantom for photon energies higher than 2 MeV has been incorporated. For a semi-infinite phantom, multiple Compton scattering and backscattering through the top are considered. The results are compared with the earlier calculations for the first-collision spectrum. It is found that the inclusion of multiple Compton scattering significantly increases the average number of electrons/cm3 per photon/cm2 at all energies considered whereas bremsstrahlung reduces the number of high energy electrons and produces more low energy electrons in the spectrum.  相似文献

Various flow phenomena of black particles (b-particles) and grey particles (g-particles) produced in magnesium-emulsion (Mg-Em) collisions at 4.5 A GeV /c are reported. These flows are directed and elliptic transverse flows (v1 and v2) related by the azimuthal angle (φ), directed and elliptic reaction plane flows (vR1 and vR2) related by the projected angle (ψ) on the reaction plane, and directed and elliptic polar direction flows (vP1 and vP2) related by the polar angle (θ). We extract absolute flows as the direct experimental values minus the isotropic theoretical values. The dependence of the various flows on the target particle multiplicity and on the angles (θ,φ,ψ) is investigated. Our results show that the dependence of b-particle flows on the target size is obvious and for heavy targets the dependence on target particle multiplicity is slight. Compared with b-particles, g-particles have a slight dependence on the target size and target particle multiplicity.  相似文献

In the strong uniform magnetic field,the noncommutative plane(NCP) caused by the lowest Landau level (LLL) effect,and QED with NCP (QED-NCP) are studied.Being similar to the condensed matter theory of quantum Hall effect,an effective filling factor f(B) is introduced to characterize the possibility that the electrons stay on the LLL.The analytic and numerical results of the differential cross section for the process of backward Compton scattering in accelerator with unpolarized or polarized initial photons are calculated.The existing data of BL38B2 in Spring-8 have been analyzed roughly and compared with the numerical predictions primitively.We propose a precise measurement of the differential cross sections of backward Compton scattering in a strong perpendicular magnetic field.which may reveal the effects of NCP.  相似文献
