A facile and eco-friendly approach to prepare nitrogen(N)- and sulfur(S)-doped carbon dots (CDs) by one step microwave-assisted pyrolysis of the precursors with dl-malic acid as carbon source, ethanolamine and ethane-sulfonic acid as N and S dopants, respectively, was reported. Through the extensive investigation on morphology, chemical structures and optical properties of the carbon dots, it was found that the obtained CDs exhibited good luminescence stability, high resistance to photo bleaching and favorite solubility. Compared with undoped CDs, adding the N or S dopant could give rise to a slightly smaller particle size and a long fluorescence lifetime of CDs. Moreover, the optimal N-CDs was successfully employed as good multicolor cell imaging probes due to its fine dispersion in water, excitation-dependent emission, excellent biocompatibility and low toxicity. Besides, such N-CDs showed a wide detection range and excellent accuracy as fluorescent probe for Fe3+ ions. This probe enabled the selective detection of Fe3+ ions with a linear range of 6.0–200 μM and a limit of detection of 0.80 μM.  相似文献

Molybdenum oxide (MoOx) is a well-studied transition-metal semiconductor material, and has a wider band gap than MoS2 which makes it become a promising versatile probe in a variety of fields, such as gas sensor, catalysis, energy storage ect. However, few MoOx nanomaterials possessing photoluminescence have been reported until now, not to mention the application as photoluminescent probes. Herein, a one-pot method is developed for facile synthesis of highly photoluminescent MoOx quantum dots (MoOx QDs) in which commercial molybdenum disulfide powder and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are involved as the precursor and oxidant, respectively. Compared with current synthesis methods, the proposed one has the advantages of rapid, one-pot, easily prepared, environment friendly as well as strong photoluminescence. The obtained MoOx QDs is further utilized as an efficient photoluminescent probe, and a new off-on sensor has been constructed for phosphate (Pi) determination in complicated lake water samples, attributed to the fact that the binding affinity of Eu3+ ions to the oxygen atoms from Pi is much higher than that from the surface of MoOx QDs. Under the optimal conditions, a good linear relationship was found between the enhanced photoluminescence intensity and Pi concentration in the range of 0.1–160.0 μM with the detection limit of 56 nM (3σ/k). The first application of the photoluminescent MoOx nanomaterials for ion photochemical sensing will open the gate of employing MoOx nanomaterials as versatile probes in a variety of fields, such as chemi-/bio-sensor, cell imaging, biomedical and so on.  相似文献

In the present work, a green synthetic method for producing nitrogen-doped carbon dots (NCDs) by using ammonium citrate and urea is introduced. The obtained NCDs were characterised by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectra, UV–vis absorption and fluorescence spectra. The results showed that the prepared NCDs were spherical with a size of about 3.5 nm, emitting strong and stable blue fluorescence when excited at 352 nm. It was noting that the NCDs enable sensitive and selective determination of Hg2+ in tap water with a linear range of 0.01–5 mg L?1 based on a possible charge transfer process. The detection limit was 9.4 µg L?1.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Perimedine labelled rhodamine dye 1 has been designed and synthesised. Metal ion binding studies of 1 have been performed in CH3CN/H2O (3:1, v/v, 10 mM Tris-HCl buffer, pH = 6.90). Compound 1 senses multiple metal ions such as Al3+, Fe3+ and Fe2+ by exhibiting turn on fluorescence and colour change (colourless to pink) under different experimental conditions. Concentration variation distinguishes Al3+ from Fe3+ ion. At low concentration (c = 1 x 10?4 M), only Al3+ ion can exhibit turn on fluorescence with sharp colour change. Sensing of Fe2+ ion through turn on fluorescence and colour change has been possible via in situ oxidation by following Fenton’s reaction.  相似文献

Nanostructured polypyrrole (PPy) film doped with Tiron was electrodeposited from aqueous solution on the surface of transparent electrode and used for sensitive, selective and rapid electrically controlled fluorescence detection of Fe3+ in aqueous media. The fluorescence intensity of PPy-Tiron film decreases linearly in the presence of Fe3+ by applying negative potential over a concentration range from 5.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−6 mol L−1, with a relatively fast response time of less than 30 s at pH 7.4. The detection is not affected by the coexistence of other competitive metal ions such as Al3+, Ce3+, Tl3+, La3+, Bi3+, Cr2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+. The proposed electro-fluorescence sensor has a potential application to the determination of Fe3+ in environmental and biological systems. The fluorescent thin film sensor was also used as a novel probe for Fe3+/Fe2+ speciation in aqueous solution.  相似文献

In this study, C-dots were facilely synthesized via microwave irradiation using citric acid and ethylenediamine as carbon precursors. The fluorescence emissions of the C-dots could be selectively quenched by Fe3+, and the degree of quenching was linearly related to the concentrations of Fe3+ presented. This phenomenon was utilized to develop a sensitive fluorescence assay for Fe3+ detection with broad linear range (0–250, 250–1200 μmol/L) and low detection limit (1.68 μmol/L). Most importantly, the assay demonstrated high reliability towards samples in deionized water, tap water and lake water, which should find potential applications for Fe3+ monitoring in complicated environments.  相似文献

A new lawsone-based azo-dye 2-hydroxy-3-((pyridin-2-ylmethyl)diazenyl)naphthalene-1,4-dione (1) was synthesized and applied for sensing of metal ions. Receptor 1 showed selective fluorescent and colorimetric response for the detection of Cu2+ and Fe3+ over other tested metal ions. The fluorescence intensity of 1 was significantly quenched allowing detection of Fe3+ and Cu2+ down to 0.61 and 6.06 μM, respectively. The binding has been established by fluorescence spectroscopic method. Receptor 1 provided a 1?:?1 binding scaffold for recognition of Fe3+ and Cu2+ ions with the association constant of 3.33 × 106 and 3.33 × 105 M?1, respectively. The B3LYP/6-31G/LANL2DZ method was employed for the optimization of 1 and 1·Fe3+ and 1·Cu2+.

Carbon nanodots (C-Dots) have attracted much attention in recent years due to their low cost, ready scalability, excellent chemical stability, biocompatibility and multicolor luminescence. Here, we report a facile strategy for producing highly luminescent, surface-different nitrogen-doped carbon dots (C-Dots) by using different ionic liquids (ILs). Intriguingly, the surface-different C-Dots show different selectivity for Cu2+ and Fe3+. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example which shows that ILs are excellent precursors for producing luminescent nanomaterial used for detection of different metal ions. The resultant nitrogen-doped C-Dots are highly photoluminescent and can be used for multicolor bioimaging. Most notable, by taking different ILs as precursors, we obtain surface-different C-Dots, which can be directly used for selective detection of Cu2+ and Fe3+ without any modification. These C-Dots based sensors exhibit high sensitivity and selectivity and the sensing process can be easily accomplished with one-step rapid operation. More importantly, compared with other method using QDs, organic dyes and organic solvent, this strategy is much more eco-friendly. This work may offer a new approach for developing low cost and sensitive C-Dots-based sensors for biological and environmental applications.  相似文献

A new coumarin-acridone fluorescent probe S was designed and synthesized, and the structure was confirmed with 1H/13C NMR spectrometry, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. This probe has high sensitivity and selectivity for Fe3+ over other testing metal ions at 420 or 436 nm in acetonitrile–MOPS (3-Morpholinopropanesulfonic Acid) buffer solution (20.0 μM, pH = 6.9, 8:2 (v/v)). Under physiological conditions, the probe displayed satisfying time stability with a detection limit of 1.77 µM. In addition, probe S was successfully used to detect intracellular iron changes through a fluorescence-off mode, and the imaging results of cells and zebrafish confirmed their low cytotoxicity and satisfactory cell membrane permeability, as well as their potential biological applications.  相似文献

In this work, we synthesised and characterised three novel fluorescence macrocyclic sensors containing optically active dansyl groups. The studies for the interaction of the synthesised compounds with various mental ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Ag+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Ba2+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Mn2+, Cr3+, Al3+, Fe3+) were performed by fluorescence titration, Job’s plot, ESI-MS and DFT calculations. The results showed that the sensors 1a–1c displayed selective recognition for Cu2+ and Fe3+ ions and formed stoichiometry 1:1 complex through PET mechanism in DMSO/H2O solution (1:1, v/v, pH 7.4 of HEPES). The binding constant (K) and detection limit were calculated.  相似文献

Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) with an average diameter of 2 nm were synthesized by carbonization of diethylene triamine pentacetate acid (DTPA). The simple prepared N-CQDs showed excellent electrochemiluminescence (ECL) property and were used as luminophors to fabricate a sandwich-type ECL immunosensor. Aminated graphene (NH2-G) was also synthesized and used as a label of secondary antibody. The labeled NH2-G could effectively quench the ECL of N-CQDs modified on electrodes due to ECL resonance energy transfer (ERET). Immunological recognition which induced ECL quenching enabled the quantitative determination of biomarkers. Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) was selected as a model analyte to investigate the analytical performance of the proposed immunosensor. Under optimal conditions, a good linear relationship between ECL intensity and the logarithm of AFP concentration was obtained in the range of 0.01–100 ng mL−1 with the detection limit of 3.3 pg mL−1. The proposed ECL immunosensor showed good stability, acceptable selectivity and reproducibility.  相似文献

Carbon dot (CD)-based multi-mode sensing has drawn much attention owing to its wider application range and higher availability compared with single-mode sensing. Herein, a simple and green methodology to construct a CD-based dual-mode fluorescent sensor from the waste biomass of flowers of wintersweet (FW-CDs) for parallel and semi-quantitative visual detection of Cr(VI) and Fe3+ was firstly reported. The FW-CD fluorescent probe had a high sensitivity to Cr(VI) and Fe3+ with wide ranges of linearity from 0.1 to 60 µM and 0.05 to 100 µM along with low detection limits (LOD) of 0.07 µM and 0.15 µM, respectively. Accordingly, the FW-CD-based dual-mode sensor had an excellent parallel sensing capacity toward Cr(VI) and Fe3+ with high selectivity and strong anti-interference capability by co-using dual-functional integration and dual-masking strategies. The developed parallel sensing platform was successfully applied to Cr(VI) and Fe3+ quantitative detection in real samples with high precision and good recovery. More importantly, a novel FW-CD-based fluorescent hydrogel sensor was fabricated and first applied in the parallel and semi-quantitative visual detection of Cr(VI) and ferrous ions in industrial effluent and iron supplements, further demonstrating the significant advantage of parallel and visual sensing strategies.  相似文献

High-quality fluorescent probes based on carbon dots (CDs) have promising applications in many fields owing to their good stability, low toxicity, high quantum yield, and low raw material price. The fluorine- and nitrogen-doped fluorescent CDs (NFCDs) with blue fluorescence was successfully synthesized using 3-aminophenol and 2,4-difluorobenzoic acid as the raw material by the hydrothermal method. The NFCDs as probe can be used to directly and indirectly detect Fe3+ (detection range: 0.1–150 μM and detection limit: 0.14 μM) and ascorbic acid (AA) (detection range: 10–80 μM and detection limit: 0.11 μM). The NFCDs-based probe shows exceptional selectivity and strong anti-interference for Fe3+ and ascorbic acid (AA). In addition, we examined the response of NFCDs to Fe3+ and AA in living cells, which showed that the timely use of AA can reduce the effects of iron poisoning. This has important biological significance. This means that using NFCDs as fluorescent probes is beneficial for Fe3+ and AA detection and observing their dynamic changes in living cells. Thus, this work may contribute to the study of Fe3+- and AA-related diseases.  相似文献

A novel compound FD1 was demonstrated as a turn-on fluorescent sensor for imaging of iron(III) ion in biological samples. Based on the spirolactam (nonfluorescence) to ring-open amide (fluorescence) equilibrium, FD1 exhibited high selectivity and sensitivity for Fe3+ over other metal ions. Moreover, fluorescent microscopy experiments further established that FD1 could be used for sensing Fe3+ within living cells.  相似文献

Iron III (Fe3+) sensing is of great importance for monitoring its levels in different environmental and biological systems since its levels are tightly associated with many environmental concerns and serious diseases. Compared to the ordinary Fe3+ detection methods involving the sophisticated and expensive instruments, the use of fluorescent materials with short response time and low cost attracts much attention. Amongst a variety of fluorescent materials, a nitrogen-doped carbon dot (N-CD) is emerging as promising luminescent materials for biosensing due to their superior photoluminescent properties, good water solubility, and biocompatibility. Herein, N-CD prepared via a green and cost-effective one-pot hydrothermal method using a new single precursor N-(2-hydroxyethyl) ethylenediamine triacetic acid (HEDTA) as both the carbon and nitrogen sources is reported. The blue fluorescent emission of N-CDs is quenched by the addition of Fe3+, and the quenching intensity is concentration dependent in the wide range (0.76–400 μM) with a detection limit of 0.16 μM. The quantum yield for the as prepared N-CDs is 14.17%. The N-CDs also show a high selectivity for Fe3+ chelation amongst a range of biological metal ions. The fluorescent quenching is attributed to the formation of the coordinate covalent bonds between the Fe3+ and N-CDs, and the mechanism is proved to be a static type on the basis of the photoluminescence lifetime and the temperature-dependent fluorescent intensity change. Our eco-friendly and simple strategy will benefit the application of CDs in various fields.  相似文献

Three novel compounds bearing 2,7-dihydroxylnaphthalene capable of detecting Cu2+ or Fe3+ have been synthesised based on photoinduced electron transfer. The ability of these compounds for complex transition metal ions has been studied, and complex stoichiometry for Cu2+ and Fe3+ complex has been determined in the Tris–HCl (0.01 M DMSO/H2O (v/v) 1:1, buffer, pH 7.4) solution system by fluorescence titration experiments. These chemosensors form a 1:1 complex with Cu2+ or Fe3+ and show a fluorescent quenching with a binding constant of (4.46 ± 0.29) × 103 and (8.04 ± 0.26) × 104, respectively.  相似文献

The near-infrared (NIR)-emitting CdSeTe alloyed quantum dots (AQdots) that capped with l-cysteine were applied for ultrasensitive Cu2+ sensing. The sensing approach was based on the fluorescence of the AQdots selectively quenched in the presence of Cu2+. Experimental results showed a low interference response towards other metal ions. The possible quenching mechanism was discussed on the basis of the binding between l-cysteine and the metal ions. In addition, biomolecules have low effect on the fluorescence due to the minimized interferences in NIR region. The response of the NIR optical sensor was linearly proportional to the concentration of Cu2+ ranging from 2 × 10−8 to 2 × 10−6 mol L−1. Furthermore, it has been successfully applied to the detection of Cu2+ in vegetable samples.  相似文献
