An empirical relation is established between Barrett equivalent radii R k,α and rms charge radii < r 2 >1/2 based on the results of model-independent and Fermi model analyses of 2p → 1s transitions in muonic atoms. This relation follows simple Z dependence, and can be usefully applied to derive rms radii < r 2 >1/2 or differences δ AA ′ < r 2 >1/2 in cases where only R k,α data or isotope shifts δ AA R k,α are published. The atomic number dependence of the Barrett parameters k(Z) and α(Z) is also given by empirical formulae. It is shown that the Barrett moment can be expanded in a sum of integer moments < r m > (m ≥ 2) using an effective exponential parameter α eff(Z). The moments < r m > and isotopic differences δ < r m > of the two-parameter Fermi distribution expressed in terms of the parameters c and a are given in the Appendix for m = 1 – 10.  相似文献

Elastic electron scattering cross sections of27Al and Si (natural isotopic mixture) have been measured relative to carbon. The rms charge radiiR m , deduced with partial wave calculations, are (3.01±0.05) fm for27Al and (3.06±0.05) fm for Si, in good agreement with results from muonic X-ray energies. The values given are those for a Fermi charge distribution with skin thickness 2.5 fm; harmonic oscillator shell model distributions yield radii smaller by 0.03 fm. The ratioR m (27Al)/Rm(Si) is 0.984±0.016.  相似文献

We derive the equation r2E(K0)/r2E(K+) = -(m2s ? m2n)/(2m2s + m2n) relating the kaon electric charge radii and the strange (ms) and non-strange (mn) quark masses in the nonrelativistic quark model, and suggest an inequality which we expect to hold in the presence of relativistic corrections. New data for these charge radii are presently being analysed by two experimental groups.  相似文献

Within an isospin and momentum dependent transport model, the dynamics of isospin particles(nucleons and light clusters) in Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions are investigated for constraining the isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass and the symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. The impacts of the isoscalar and isovector parts of the momentum dependent interaction on the emissions of isospin particles are explored, i.e., the mass splittings of m_n~*=m_p~* and m_n~* m_p~*(m_n~* m_p~*). The single and double neutron to proton ratios of free nucleons and light particles are thoroughly investigated in the isotopic nuclear reactions of ~(112)Sn+~(112)Sn and ~(124)Sn+~(124)Sn at incident energies of 50 and 120 MeV/nucleon, respectively. It is found that both the effective mass splitting and symmetry energy impact the kinetic energy spectra of the single ratios, in particular at the high energy tail(larger than 20 Me V). The isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass slightly impacts the double ratio spectra at the energy of 50 MeV/nucleon. A soft symmetry energy with stiffness coefficient of γ_s =0.5 is constrained from the experimental data with the Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions.  相似文献

X-ray and Auger transition rates, X-ray wavelengths, and fluorescence yields are calculated for variously ionized silicon atoms with configurations 1s2sm2pn, m=0-2, n=1-6. The calculation has been performed using the Hartree-Fock atomic model. Intermediate coupling and configuration interaction have been taken into account. The energies and widths are found to be strongly affected by configuration mixing. The results from the present calculation have been compared with those available in the literature. The theoretical Kα hypersatellite and satellite spectra fall into several well-separated regions, corresponding to each of the possible number of spectator electrons in the 2s and 2p shells. The dependence of radiative rates and fluorescence yields on the number of spectator electrons is also investigated.  相似文献

Elastic electron scattering cross sections of12C,14N and16O relative to the proton, and of13C relative to12C have been measured. Using harmonic oscillator wave functions the followingrms charge radiiR m were deduced by phaseshift calculations: 2.395 (28) fm for12C, 2.384 (47) fm for13C, 2.492 (33) fm for15N, 2.666 (33) fm for16O. The ratioR m (13C)/R m (12C) is 0.995±0.008. The errors given do not include uncertainties from the model dependence of the evaluation which may be of the same magnitude.  相似文献

Thick skin in neutron/proton-rich sodium isotopes   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Nucleon (both neutron and proton) density distributions of the chain of sodium isotopes are calculated using a semi-phenomenological model of nuclear density which incorporates correctly the asymptotic behaviour and the behaviour near the centre. The experimental charge root-mean-square radii and the single neutron and proton separation energies, required as input, are used. The calculated interaction cross-sections using these densities in the Glauber model agree well with the experiment. The calculated neutron rms radii r n and the nuclear skin thickness ( r n - r p) closely agree with the corresponding experimental values and also are consistent with the Relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) calculations. We consider the scattering model in the form of a vertically and horizontally homogeneous particulate slab of an arbitrary optical thickness composed of widely separated fractal aggregates built of small spherical ice monomers. The aggregates are generated by applying three different approaches, including simulated cluster-cluster aggregation (CCA) and diffusion-limited aggregation (DLA) procedures. Having in mind radar remote-sensing applications, we report and analyze the results of computations of the backscattering circular polarization ratio obtained using efficient superposition T-matrix and vector radiative-transfer codes. The computations have been performed at a wavelength of 12.6 cm for fractal aggregates with the following characteristics: monomer refractive index m=1.78+i0.003, monomer radius r=1 cm, monomer packing density p=0.2, overall aggregate radii R in the range 4≤R≤10 cm and fractal dimensions Df=2.5 and 3.We show that for aggregates generated with simulated CCA and DLA procedures, the respective values of the backscattering circular polarization ratio differ weakly for Df=2.5, but the differences can increase somewhat for Df=3, especially in case of an optically semi-infinite medium. For aggregates with a spheroidal overall shape, the dependence of the circular polarization ratio on the cluster morphology can be quite significant and increases with increasing the aspect ratio of the circumscribing spheroid.  相似文献

Data on the isotope shift of the nuclear charge densities of the tin isotopes and of their mean square charge radii are considered from the viewpoint of the Hartree-Fock and Droplet Models. Attention is paid to the electromagnetic corrections of order 1/m2. Through a leptodermous analysis of charge and matter densities we find: (i) differences of m.s. charge radii are mainly sensitive to the external region, (ii) the electromagnetic corrections are important in that region, (iii) despite different leptodermous properties, forces Ska and GO-P lead to the same neutron skin thickness. The average rate of variation of the proton m.s. radius is interpreted as favouring either a low valueQ≈30 MeV for the droplet model asymmetry parameter, or a zero value for the saturation asymmetry parameterL.  相似文献

A new possibility of first-order magnetic phase transitions in simple systems, based on the concept of intrinsic volume-magnetostriction Ωs ≡ ? Vn/Vn, is suggested. The net volume Vn is defined as the difference between the total lattice volume and the sum of the individual atomic volumes. A magneto-volume equation of state for the net volume: Ωs = Q0ηs with s < 2, as well as the dependence of the effective exchange integral on the long-range order parameter η, are postulated. The value s ? 1.5 accounts well for the experimental values of the critical exponents β and δ, as well as for the deviation from linearity of the Arrott—Belov plots obtained for the ferromagnetic transition metals. The model leads to an order—order transition just below the order—disorder transition, thus providing an explanation for the two experimentally found temperatures, the forromagnetic Curie temperature and the paramagnetic Curie—Weiss temperature.  相似文献

A “Coulomb-modified” dispersion relation is applied to low-energy p-4He forward elastic scattering. To check the validity of the modification, the results are compared with those deduced from n-4He elastic scattering. Completely analogous information is obtained for the two processes. The exchange of three bound nucleons is found to contribute strongly to N-4He forward scattering. The corresponding 4He-3H-p and 4He-3He-n coupling constants are evaluated as Rp = 3.8±0.3 and Rn = 3.0±0.3, respectively. These constants are related to the strength of the asymptotic wave function of nucleons in 4He and thus to the tail of the nucleon distribution. A comparison of Rp with the empirical proton distribution in 4He as deduced from e-4He elastic scattering shows excellent agreement. From Rp and Rn the effective ranges of the singlet 3H-p and 3He-n interactions in the ground state of 4He are determined to be equal, in accordance with charge symmetry, and to have a value of reff = 1.072±0.006 fm.  相似文献

Isotope shifts of the 467.8 nm line have been measured by Doppler-free saturation spectroscopy for the even Cd isotopes 106 through 116. The differential changes in mean square charge radii derived from the field shifts show a pronounced break in their trend atN=64, giving evidence for the closure of theg 7/2 neutron subshell. The average charge radii determined from our data and the rms radius of114Cd measured with muonic X-rays verify the general trend predicted by the droplet model but are off by about 35 mfm on an absolute scale. A consistent interpretation of δ〈r 2〉 further supports the necessity for considering changes in the skin thickness of the nuclear charge distribution.  相似文献

The PHOBOS Collaboration has measured transverse momentum distributions of charged hadrons produced in Cu+Cu collisions at √s NN =200 and 62.4 GeV. The nuclear modification factor R AA N part is calculated relative to p+p data at both collision energies as a function of collision centrality. For the same number of participating nucleons, R AA N part is essentially the same in both systems over the full range of p Tthat is measured. In addition, we observe that within experimental uncertainties, the ratio of 200 GeV to 62.4 GeV Cu+Cu yields has only a moderate centrality dependence and is consistent with the value previously measured in Au+Au collisions for a broad range of p T.  相似文献

The ground state properties of Ca isotopes far from stability line were systematically studied using the Skyrme Hartree Fock model. The shell effects on the binding energy and two neutron separation energy are discussed. The isospin dependency of the unclear radii and nucleon density distributions and the shell effects on these properties are also studied. It is shown that the neutron magic number affests the width of nuclear surface and the nucleon density distributions beyond the nuclear surface. The change of proton rms radii Rrms with neutron number excess I=(N-Z)/A follows Rrms=3/5(1+αI+βI2)rpZ1/3.The effect of the centrifugal potential on the nuclear density in the outer trach of nuclear surface is clearly shown.  相似文献

The kaonB parameter is computed in a framework in which static cavity QCD loop corrections to the weak interactions of hadrons are included by extending the Fock state wavefunction to includeO(g) bremsstrahlung and vacuum fluctuation states. Since the QCD corrections are inherent in the calculation of the matrix elements of the bare effective weak ΔS=2 Hamiltonian between hadronic states the scale matching problem of the standard short distance analysis is alleviated. The modified static cavity model used is characterised by four parameters; the effective quarkgluon coupling constant, the confinement pressure, the zero-point energy and a parameter governing the centre-of-mass corrections. These parameters are fitted to the π and ? masses and the charge radii of π andK. Results are given for the ultra-relativistic (m u=m d=0) sector and for a region (m u=m d≈140 MeV) where the ΔI=1/2 rule is uniquely reproduced. For the parameter set which describes the ΔI=1/2 rule we findB K=0.58 at a basis size ofN B=6.  相似文献

The features of surface plasmon resonance in gold nanofilms deposited on the surface of a total-internal-reflection prism have been investigated theoretically, using the Fresnel equation, and experimentally, with application of the polarization modulation technique. The angular characteristics of the polarization difference of the reflection coefficients for s-and p-polarized light, Δρ = R s 2 ? R p 2 , were measured in the wave-length range λ = 0.4–2.0 μm. It is shown that the characteristics of Δρ, in contrast to the results of standard measurements by the surface plasmon resonance method, have a resonance peak. Due to this, the characteristics of the polarization difference contain nonresonant components whose magnitudes are determined by the internal reflection coefficients for the metal and insulator; these parameters depend on the film thickness. The calculated and experimental data coincide when the model assumes exponential dependence of the refractive indices and extinction coefficients on the thickness of the metal film. It is established that the characteristic parameter of the exponential is a metal film thickness of 11.0 ± 0.5 nm, at which the film optical parameters correspond to the bulk characteristics.  相似文献

Ratios of differential cross sections for elastic electron scattering from46Ti,48Ti and50Ti have been measured at 29 MeV and 58 MeV. A partial wave analysis, carried out for static Fermi-type nuclear charge distributions, yields differences of the r.m.s. radiiR m ofR m 48 ?R m 46 =(?0,005±0,027) fm andR m 50 ?R m 46 =(0,003±0,021) fm, if the skin thickness parameterz of the charge density is assumed to be constant. If allowance is made for a change inz ofΔz/z=±5% and ±10%, then the errors increase by ±0,013 fm and ±0,028 fm, respectively. This indicates a relatively small change in nuclear r.m.s. radii below the magic neutron number N=28.  相似文献

The technique of collinear fast-beam laser spectroscopy has been used to measure the isotope shifts of the even-even isotopes of Hg (Z=80) in the mass range 182≤A≤198 at the on-line mass separator ISOLDE at CERN. The atomic transition studied (6s 6p 3 P 2- 6s7s 3 S 1,λ=546.1 nm) starts from a metastable state, which is populated in a quasi resonant charge transfer process. The resulting changes in nuclear mean square charge radii show clearly that182Hg follows the trend of the heavier, even, weakly oblate isotopes. Correspondingly the huge odd-even shape staggering in the light Hg isotopes continues and the nuclear shape staggering and shape coexistence persists down to the last isotope investigated,181Hg. An update of isotope shift and hyperfine structure data for181–206Hg is given, with a revised evaluation of the differences in nuclear mean square charge radii and of spectroscopic quadrupole moments.  相似文献

The change of therms radius of the nuclear charge distribution on addition of one proton is derived for 25 nuclides between 19 39 K and 82 208 Pb. For this purpose, results of the muonic 2p-1s transition energies are used together with the optical isotope shifts. The uncertainties of the procedure are discussed. Corresponding results from elastic electron scattering are included for three pairs of nuclides. — For heavy nuclei, the average increase in radius per proton exceeds considerably that per neutron, as expected. Although the individual values are associated with rather large errors, shell effects seem to be noticeable atZ=28 andZ=50.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure splittings (hfs) and isotope shifts (IS) in the atomic transitions 5s 2 5p 2 1 S 0 → 5s 2 5p6s 1,3 P 1 have been measured for the radioactive isotopes108?111Sn and all stable ones. The tin isotopes were prepared as fast atomic beams for collinear laser spectroscopy at the GSI online mass separator following a fusion reaction. Nuclear spins, magnetic dipole, electric quadrupole moments and changes in mean square charge radii have been determined. In109Sn the spinI=5/2 was measured for the nuclear ground state (T 1/2=18 min) in contradiction to the literature value. The mean square charge radii show a parabolic behaviour with a maximum at N=66. This is interpreted by collective effects, which are considerably stronger than accounted for by theB(E2)-values.  相似文献
