In this paper, we will extend several results on intersection theory over commutative ruled surfaces to quantum ruled surfaces. Typically, we define the fiber of a closed point, the quasi-section, and the quasi-canonical divisor on a quantum rules surface, and study how these “curves” on a quantum ruled surface intersect with each other.  相似文献

We introduce a class of eventually almost periodic sequences where some suffix is almost periodic (i.e., uniformly recurrent). The class of generalized almost periodic sequences includes the class of eventually almost periodic sequences, and we prove this inclusion to be strict. We also prove that the class of eventually almost periodic sequences is closed under finite automata mappings and finite transductions. Moreover, we obtain an effective form of this result. In conclusion we consider some algorithmic questions related to the almost periodicity.  相似文献

Summary In this paper, it is shown that the dual integral invariant of a closed ruled surface, the dual angle of pitch, corresponds to the dual spherical surface area described by the dual spherical indicatrix of the closed ruled surface. In Euclidean n-space we prove two vertex theorems for simply closed generalized ruled surfaces. The statements refer to the minimum of generators with special geometrical properties, and generalize theorems of SABAN[9] about ruled surfaces in Euclidean 3-space. Two examples are given.

In this work we show that the Wecken theorem for periodic points holds for periodic homeomorphisms on closed surfaces, which therefore completes the periodic point theory in such a special case. Using it we derive the set of homotopy minimal periods for such homeomorphisms. Moreover we show that the results hold for homotopically periodic self-maps of closed surfaces. This let us to re-formulate our results as a statement on properties of elements of finite order in the group of outer automorphisms of the fundamental group of a surface with non-positive Euler characteristic.  相似文献

Summary We show that an area preserving homeomorphism of the open or closed annulus which has at least one periodic point must in fact have infinitely many interior periodic points. A consequence is the theorem that every smooth Riemannian metric onS 2 with positive Gaussian curvature has infinitely many distinct closed geodesics.In this paper we investigate area preserving homeomorphisms of the annulus and their periodic points. The main result is that an area preserving homeomorphism of the annulus which has at least one periodic point (perhaps on the boundary) must in fact have infinitely many interior periodic points.The motivation and main application of this result is the furthering of a program begun by Birkhoff [B] in his book Dynamical Systems. There he shows that for many Riemannian metrics onS 2, including those with positive curvature, the problem of finding closed geodesics reduces to finding periodic points of a certain area preserving homeomorphism of the annulus. The annulus map in question can be shown to have a periodic point so our main result above can be applied to show the existence of infinitely many distinct closed geodesics whenever this annulus map exists. This is done in Sect. 4 Other quite different approaches to the problem of finding infinitely many geodesics have been successful in handling the cases which do not reduce to the investigation of an annulus homeomorphism (see [Ba]).Oblatum 20-III-1991 & 6-XI-1991  相似文献

We investigate the closure of the set of periodic closed intervals for a continuous interval map with respect to Hausdorff metric. We prove that if a nondegenerate interval is limit of periodic ones then either a) it is periodic itself, or b) it is asymptotically degenerate, i.e. its diameter tends to 0 (when iterating under f). We present a continuous interval map for which case b) is possible.  相似文献

In this paper we connect algebraic properties of the pair-of-pants product in local Floer homology and Hamiltonian dynamics. We show that for an isolated periodic orbit, the product is non-uniformly nilpotent and use this fact to give a simple proof of the Conley conjecture for closed manifolds with aspherical symplectic form. More precisely, we prove that on a closed symplectic manifold, the mean action spectrum of a Hamiltonian diffeomorphism with isolated periodic orbits is infinite.  相似文献

In this paper, the flip bifurcation and periodic doubling bifurcations of a discrete population model without delay influence is firstly studied and the phenomenon of Feigenbaum’s cascade of periodic doublings is also observed. Secondly, we explored the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation in the delay population model (two-dimension discrete dynamical systems) and the unique stable closed invariant curve which bifurcates from the nontrivial fixed point. Finally, a computer-assisted study for the delay population model is also delved into. Our computer simulation shows that the introduction of delay effect in a nonlinear difference equation derived from the logistic map leads to much richer dynamic behavior, such as stable node → stable focus → an lower-dimensional closed invariant curve (quasi-periodic solution, limit cycle) or/and stable periodic solutions → chaotic attractor by cascading bubbles (the combination of potential period doubling and reverse period-doubling) and the sudden change between two different attractors, etc.  相似文献

A particle will be said to be in cruise motion if it is nonholonomically constrained to have constant speed. When the particle is placed in a central force field, the resulting mechanical system is known to be integrable. Cruise orbits in a central force field may be closed (periodic in time) or not, depending on the potential and on the speed. Here we give a constructive characterization of all central potentials for which all cruise motions of a given speed are closed. As a consequence, we also give a new proof of the fact that for any such potential the set of speeds for which all cruise motions are closed has always empty interior.  相似文献

We consider a continuous path of bounded symmetric Fredholm bilinear forms with arbitrary endpoints on a real Hilbert space, and we prove a formula that gives the spectral flow of the path in terms of the spectral flow of the restriction to a finite codimensional closed subspace. We also discuss the case of restrictions to a continuous path of finite codimensional closed subspaces. As an application of the formula, we introduce the notion of spectral flow for a periodic semi‐Riemannian geodesic, and we compute its value in terms of the Maslov index (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Some doubly periodic (Jacobi elliptic function) solutions of the modified Kawahara equation are presented in closed form. Our approach is to introduce a new auxiliary ordinary differential equation and use its Jacobi elliptic function solutions to construct doubly periodic solutions of the modified Kawahara equation. When the module m → 1, these solutions degenerate to the exact solitary wave solutions of the equation. Then we reveal the relation of some exact solutions for the modified Kawahara equation obtained by other authors.  相似文献

We provide generalizations of the notions of Atiyah class and Kodaira-Spencer map to the case of framed sheaves. Moreover, we construct closed two-forms on the moduli spaces of framed sheaves on surfaces. As an application, we define a symplectic structure on the moduli spaces of framed sheaves on some birationally ruled surfaces.  相似文献

In a conference on fixed point theory, B. Halpern of Indiana University considered the problem of reducing the number of periodic points of a map by homotopy. He also asked whether the number of periodic points of a function could be increased by a homotopy. In this paper, we will show that for any map on a closed manifold, an arbitrarily small perturbation can always create infinitely many periodic points of arbitrarily high periods.
