In this paper, we consider an initial boundary value problem for the 3‐dimensional nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with density‐dependent viscosity and resistivity coefficients over a bounded smooth domain. Global in time unique strong solution is proved to exist when the L2 norms of initial vorticity and current density are both suitably small with arbitrary large initial density, and the vacuum of initial density is also allowed. Finally, we revisit the Navier‐Stokes model without electromagnetic effect. We find that this initial boundary problem also admits a unique global strong solution under other conditions. In particular, we prove small kinetic‐energy strong solution exists globally in time, which extends the recent result of Huang and Wang.  相似文献

The problem of the linear stability of steady axisymmetric shear magnetohydrodynamic jet flows of an inviscid ideally conducting incompressible fluid with a free boundary is investigated. It is assumed that the jet is of unlimited length, there is a longitudinal constant electric current along its surface, and it is directed along the axis of a cylindrical shell with infinite conductivity, such that there is a vacuum layer between its free boundary and the inner surfaces of the shell. The necessary and sufficient condition for the stability of such flows with respect to small axisymmetric long-wave perturbations of special form is obtained by Lyapunov's direct method. Bilateral exponential estimates of the growth of small perturbations are constructed in the case when this stability condition breaks down, where the indices in their exponents are calculated from the parameters of the steady flows and the initial data for the perturbations. An example of a steady axisymmetric shear magnetohydrodynamic jet flow and of the initial small axisymmetric long-wave perturbations imposed on it is given, which, at the linear stage, will evolve in time and space in accordance with the estimates constructed.  相似文献

We study the Cauchy problem of the 3‐dimensional nonhomogeneous heat conducting Navier‐Stokes equations with nonnegative density. First of all, we show that for the initial density allowing vacuum, the strong solution to the problem exists globally if the velocity satisfies the Serrin's condition. Then, under some smallness condition, we prove that there is a unique global strong solution to the 3D viscous nonhomogeneous heat conducting Navier‐Stokes flows. Our method relies upon the delicate energy estimates.  相似文献

The compactness of weak solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic equations for the viscous, compressible, heat conducting fluids is considered in both the three-dimensional space R3 and the three-dimensional periodic domains. The viscosities, the heat conductivity as well as the magnetic coefficient are allowed to depend on the density, and may vanish on the vacuum. This paper provides a different idea from [X. Hu, D. Wang, Global solutions to the three-dimensional full compressible magnetohydrodynamic flows, Comm. Math. Phys. (2008), in press] to show the compactness of solutions of viscous, compressible, heat conducting magnetohydrodynamic flows, derives a new entropy identity, and shows that the limit of a sequence of weak solutions is still a weak solution to the compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations.  相似文献

This paper concerns the Cauchy problem of the two-dimensional full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with zero heat-conduction and vacuum as far field density. In particular, the initial density can have compact support. We prove that the Cauchy problem admits a local strong solution provided both the initial density and the initial magnetic field decay not too slow at infinity.  相似文献

The question of whether the two-dimensional (2D) nonbarotropic compressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations with zero heat conduction can develop a finite-time singularity from smooth initial data is a challenging open problem in fluid dynamics and mathematics. Such a problem is interesting in studying global well-posedness of solutions. In this paper, we proved that, for the initial density allowing vacuum states, the strong solution exists globally if the density and the pressure are bounded from above. Our method relies on weighted energy estimates and a Hardy-type inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, regularity criterion for the 3‐D density‐dependent magnetohydrodynamic equation is considered. It is proved that the solution keeps smoothness only under an integrable condition on the velocity field in multiplier spaces. Hence, it turns out that the velocity field plays a dominant role in the regularity criteria of the weak solutions to this nonlinear coupling problem even with density. In this paper, we consider the compressible models of magnetohydrodynamic flows giving rise to a variety of mathematical problems in many areas. We derive a rigorous quasi-geostrophic equation governed by magnetic field from the rotational compressible magnetohydrodynamic flows with the well-prepared initial data. It is a first derivation of quasi-geostrophic equation governed by the magnetic field, and the tool is based on the relative entropy method. This paper covers two results: the existence of the unique local strong solution of quasi-geostrophic equation with the good regularity and the derivation of a quasi-geostrophic equation.  相似文献

We investigate the initial value problem for the three‐dimensional incompressible magnetohydrodynamics flows. Global existence and uniqueness of flows are established in the function space , provided that the norm of the initial data is less than the minimal value of the viscosity coefficients of the flows. In this paper, we concern the Cauchy problem of two-dimensional (2D) compressible nematic liquid crystal flows with vacuum as far-field density. Under a geometric condition for the initial orientation field, we establish a blowup criterion in terms of the integrability of the density for strong solutions to the compressible nematic liquid crystal flows. This criterion generalizes previous results of compressible nematic liquid crystal flows with vacuum, which concludes the initial boundary problem and Cauchy problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the three dimensional Cauchy problem of the compressible micropolar viscous flows. We prove the existence of unique global classical solution for smooth initial data with small initial energy but possibly large oscillations and the initial density may allowed to contain the interior and far field vacuum states. Furthermore, the large time behavior of the solution is obtained as well.  相似文献

An initial-boundary value problem is considered for the density-dependent incompressible viscous magnetohydrodynamic flow in a three-dimensional bounded domain. The homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition is prescribed on the velocity, and the perfectly conducting wall condition is prescribed on the magnetic field. For the initial density away from vacuum, the existence and uniqueness are established for the local strong solution with large initial data as well as for the global strong solution with small initial data. Furthermore, the weak-strong uniqueness of solutions is also proved, which shows that the weak solution is equal to the strong solution with certain initial data.  相似文献

The connection between the compressible viscous quantum magnetohydrodynamic model with low Mach number and the ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations is studied in a periodic domain. More precisely, for well‐prepared initial data, we prove the convergence of classical solutions of the compressible viscous quantum magnetohydrodynamic model to the classical solutions of the incompressible ideal magnetohydrodynamic equations with a convergence rate when the Mach number, viscosity coefficient, and magnetic diffusion coefficient simultaneously tend to zero.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem of isentropic compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with large potential force in . When the initial data (ρ0,u0,H0) is of small energy, we investigate the global well‐posedness of classical solutions where the flow density is allowed to contain vacuum states.  相似文献

We consider the short time strong solutions to the compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with initial vacuum, in which the velocity field satisfies the Navier‐slip condition. The Navier‐slip condition differs in many aspects from no‐slip conditions, and it has attracted considerable attention in nanoscale and microscale flows research. Inspired by Kato and Lax's idea, we use the Lax–Milgram theorem and contraction mapping argument to prove local existence. Moreover, under the Navier‐slip condition, we establish a criterion for possible breakdown of such solutions at finite time in terms of the temporal integral of L norm of the deformation tensor D(u). An initial–boundary value problem is considered for the viscous compressible thermally radiative magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows coupled to self-gravitation describing the dynamics of gaseous stars in a bounded domain of R3R3. The conservative boundary conditions are prescribed. Compared to Ducomet–Feireisl [13] (also see, for instance, Feireisl [18], Feireisl–Novotný [20]), a rather more general constitutive relationship is given in this paper. The analysis allows for the initial density with vacuum. Every transport coefficient admits a certain temperature scaling. The global existence of a variational (weak) solution with any finite energy and finite entropy data is established through a three-level approximation and methods of weak convergence.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a blow-up criterion of strong solutions to the 3-D viscous and non-resistive magnetohydrodynamic equations for compressible heat-conducting flows with initial vacuum. This blow-up criterion depends only on the gradient of velocity and the temperature, which is similar to the one for compressible Navier-Stokes equations.  相似文献

The selective decay phenomena have been observed by physicists for many dynamic flows such as Navier-Stokes flows, barotropic geophysical flows, and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows in either actual physical experiments or numerical simulations. In the previous paper (M.-Q. Zhan, 2010 [20]), the author showed the validity of the selective decay principle for the 2D magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows in the case of small magnetic Prandtl number. In this paper, we shall show the validity of the selective decay principle for the 2D magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows for any magnetic Prandtl number with periodic boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the initial boundary value problem for the nonhomogeneous heat–conducting fluids with non‐negative density and the general external force. We prove that there exists a unique global strong solution to the 3D viscous nonhomogeneous heat–conducting Navier‐Stokes flows if is suitably small.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the blow-up phenomena of smooth solutions to the Cauchy problem for the full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations and isentropic compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with constant and degenerate viscosities under some restrictions on the initial data. In particular, our results do not require that the initial data have compact support or contain vacuum in any finite region.  相似文献
