The hydrothermal chemistry of a variety of M(II)SO(4) salts with the tetrazole (Ht) ligands 5,5'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(1H-tetrazole) (H(2)bdt), 5',5'-(1,1'-biphenyl)4,4'-diylbis(1H-tetrazole) (H(2)dbdt) and 5,5',5'-(1,3,5-phenylene)tris(1H-tetrazole) (H(3)btt) was investigated. In the case of Co(II), three phases were isolated, two of which incorporated sulfate: [Co(5)F(2)(dbdt)(4)(H(2)O)(6)]·2H(2)O (1·2H(2)O), [Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(bdt)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] (2) and [Co(3)(OH)(SO(4))(btt)(H(2)O)(4)]·3H(2)O (3·3H(2)O). The structures are three-dimensional and consist of cluster-based secondary building units: the pentanuclear {Co(5)F(2)(tetrazolate)(8)(H(2)O)(6)}, the tetranuclear {Co(4)(OH)(2)(SO(4))(2)(tetrazolate)(6)}(4-), and the trinuclear {Co(3)(μ(3)-OH)(SO(4))(2) (tetrazolate)(3)}(2-) for 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The Ni(II) analogue [Ni(2)(H(0.67)bdt)(3)]·10.5H(2)O (4·10.5H(2)O) is isomorphous with a fourth cobalt phase, the previously reported [Co(2)(H(0.67)bat)(3)]·20H(2)O and exhibits a {M(tetrazolate)(3/2)}(∞) chain as the fundamental building block. The dense three-dimensional structure of [Zn(bdt)] (5) consists of {ZnN(4)}tetrahedra linked through bdt ligands bonding through N1,N3 donors at either tetrazolate terminus. In contrast to the hydrothermal synthesis of 1-5, the Cd(II) material (Me(2)NH(2))(3)[Cd(12)Cl(3)(btt)(8)(DMF)(12)]·xDMF·yMeOH (DMF = dimethylformamide; x = ca. 12, y = ca. 5) was prepared in DMF/methanol. The structure is constructed from the linking of {Cd(4)Cl(tetrazolate)(8)(DMF)(4)}(1-) secondary building units to produce an open-framework material exhibiting 66.5% void volume. The magnetic properties of the Co(II) series are reflective of the structural building units.  相似文献

[Cd(mu2-N,O-p-NH2C6H4SO3)2(H2O)2]n (1) is a layered coordination compound. The solid-vapor reactions between crystalline 1 and a series of volatile amines were investigated and the corresponding amine adducts were characterized by EA, TGA, PXRD and IR. Among them, the C2H5NH2 and C3H7NH2 adducts, namely [Cd(C2H5NH2)4(H2O)2](H2NC6H4SO3)2 (3) and [Cd(C3H7NH2)4(O-p-H2NC6H4SO3)2].C3H7NH2 (4), grew into single crystals in situ from the solid-vapor reaction processes and their crystal structures were characterized. In both cases, 4 mol equiv. of amine molecules coordinate to Cd(II) via replacing the N,O-p-NH2C6H4SO3 ligands or coordinated water molecules. The single-phase product suggests that the solid-vapor reaction between the metal sulfonate and volatile alkylamines could be used as a green process to synthesize monoamine-coordinated Cd(II) complexes without any solvent and routine separation. Finally, the substitution reaction is reversible at room conditions and selective for primary alkylamines.  相似文献

The compound [NH4(NH3)4][B(C6H5)4].NH3 (1) was prepared by the reaction of NaB(C(6)H(5))(4) with a proton-charged ion-exchange resin in liquid ammonia. [NH(4)(NH(3))(4)][Ca(NH(3))(7)]As(3)S(6).2NH(3) (2) and [NH4(NH3)4][Ba(NH3)8]As3S6.NH3 (3) were synthesized by reduction of As(4)S(4) with Ca and Ba in liquid ammonia. All ammoniates were characterized by low-temperature single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. They were found to contain the ammine-ammonium complex with the maximal possible number of coordinating ammonia molecules, the [NH4(NH3)4]+ ion. 1 contains a special dimer, the [(NH4(NH3)4)2(mu-NH3)2]2+ ion, which is formed by two[NH4(NH3)4]+ ions linked by two ammonia molecules. The H(3)N-H...N hydrogen bonds in all three compounds range from 1.82 to 2.20 A (DHA = Donor-H...Acceptor angles: 156-178 degrees). In 2 and 3, additional H(2)N-H...S bonds to the thioanions are observed, ranging between 2.49 and 3.00 A (DHA angles: 120-175 degrees). Two parallel phenyl rings of the [B(C(6)H(5))(4)](-) anion in 1 form a pi...pi hydrogen bond (C...C distance, 3.38 A; DHA angles, 82 degrees), leading to a dimeric [B(C6H5)4]2(2-) ion.  相似文献

The compounds [(M@18c6)2][TlI4].2H2O, M=Tl, (NH4,NH3), (H3O,H2O) (cubic, Fd; a=1481.00 pm, for M=0.5 Tl, a=1304.65 pm for M=(NH4,NH3), a=1313.67 pm for M=(H3O,H2O)) can be obtained from solution in the presence of traces of transition metal halides (like copper and mercury halides). Apparently the transition metal cations work as a template in the form of tetrahedral [MX4] units during the synthesis of the supramolecular host architecture. That the compounds are versatile host lattices for tetrahedrally coordinated transition metal units becomes obvious by the large group of known host-guest complex compounds, [(MIIX4)(MI@18c6)4][TlX4]2.nH2O (MII=Cu, Co, Zn, Mn; MI=NH4+, Rb, Tl; X=Cl, Br).  相似文献

The reaction of an S-bridged Co2(III)Ag3(I) pentanuclear complex, [Ag3[Co(aet)3]2][BF4]3 (aet = NH2CH2CH2S-), with paraformaldehyde in basic acetonitrile, followed by adding aqueous ammonia, produced an aza-capped Co2(III)-Ag3(I) complex, [Ag3[Co(L)]2]3+ ([1]3+) (L = N(CH2NHCH2CH2S-)3). The crystal structure of [1]3+ was determined by X-ray crystallography. [1][PF6]3 x H2O, empirical formula C18H44Ag3Co2F18N8OP3S6, crystallizes in the tetragonal space group 142m with a = 13.012(1) A, c = 24.707(2) A, and Z = 4. In [1]3+ the two aza-capped [Co(L)] units are linked by three Ag(I) atoms, such that the two Co(III) atoms are encapsulated in a macrobicyclic metallocage, [Ag3(I)(L)2]3-. [1]3+ was converted to an aza-capped Co4(III)Zn4(II) octanuclear complex, [Zn4O[Co(L)]4]6+ ([2]6+), by reaction with I- in the presence of Zn2+ and ZnO in water. The crystal structure of [2]6+ was also determined by X-ray crystallography. [2][PF6]6 x 8H2O, empirical formula C36H100Co4F36N16O9P6S12Zn4, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1/n) with a = 14.33(7) A, b = 25.67(10) A, c = 24.83(6) A, beta = 101.3(3) degrees , and Z = 4. In [2]6+ each of four [Co(L)] units is bound to each trigonal Zn3(II) face of the tetrahedral [Zn4(II)O]6+ core, such that each Co(III) atom is encapsulated in a macrobicyclic [Zn4(II)O(L)] fragment. Treatment of [2]6+ with a basic aqueous solution resulted in a cleavage of the Zn-S bonds to produce an aza-capped Co(III) mononuclear complex, [Co(L)] ([3]), from which [1]3+ is readily reproduced by the reaction with Ag+ in water. All the reactions were found to proceed with retention of the absolute configuration (delta or lambda) of the Co(III) chiral centers; deltadelta-[1]3+, deltadeltadeltadelta-[2]6+, and A-[3] were derived from deltadelta-[Ag3[Co(aet)3]2]3+. The contributions to circular dichroism (CD) from the triple helicity in [1]3+, besides from the asymmetric N and S donor atoms and the Co(III) chiral centers in [1]3+ and [2]6+, were estimated by comparing the CD spectra of deltadelta-[1]3+, deltadeltadeltadelta-[2]6+, and delta-[3].  相似文献

The 1/2V2O5-H2C2O4/H3PO4/NH4OH system was investigated using hydrothermal techniques. Four new phases, (NH4)VOPO(4).1.5H2O (1), (NH4)0.5VOPO(4).1.5H2O (2), (NH4)2[VO(H2O)3]2[VO(H2O)][VO(PO4)2]2.3H2O (3), and (NH4)2[VO(HPO4)]2(C2O4).H2O (4), have been prepared and structurally characterized. Compounds 1 and 2 have layered structures closely related to VOPO(4).2H2O and A0.5VOPO4.yH2O (A = mono- or divalent metals), whereas 3 has a 3D open-framework structure. Compound 4 has a layered structure and contains both oxalate and phosphate anions coordinated to vanadium cations. Crystal data: (NH4)VOPO(4).1.5H2O, tetragonal (I), space group I4/mmm (No. 139), a = 6.3160(5) A, c = 13.540(2) A, Z = 4; (NH4)0.5VOPO(4).1.5H2O, monoclinic, space group P2(1)/m (No. 11), a = 6.9669(6) A, b = 17.663(2) A, c = 8.9304(8) A, beta = 105.347(1) degrees, Z = 8; (NH4)2[VO(H2O)3]2[VO(H2O)][VO(PO4)2]2.3H2O, triclinic, space group P1 (No. 2), a = 10.2523(9) A, b = 12.263(1) A, c = 12.362(1) A, alpha = 69.041(2) degrees, beta = 65.653(2) degrees, gamma = 87.789(2) degrees, Z = 2; (NH4)2[VO(HPO4)]2(C2O4).5H2O, monoclinic (C), space group C2/m (No. 12), a = 17.735(2) A, b = 6.4180(6) A, c = 22.839(2) A, beta = 102.017(2) degrees, Z = 6.  相似文献

The novel intramolecularly NH...O hydrogen-bonded Ca(II)-aryl sulfonate complex, [Ca2(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4)2(H2O)4]n(2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3)2n (1), sulfonate anion, (HNEt3)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2a), (PPh4)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2b), (n-Bu4N)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2c), and sulfonic acid, 2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3H (3), were synthesized. The structures of 1, 2a, and 2b depict the presence of the formation of NH...O hydrogen bonds between the amide NH and S-O oxygen for a series of compounds as determined by IR and 1H NMR analyses both in the solid state and in the solution state. Thus, the NH...O hydrogen bonds with neutral amide groups are available for investigation of the electronic state of the O- anion. The combined data from the IR and 1H NMR spectra indicate that the sulfonic acid, sulfonate anion, and Ca(II) complex have a substantially weak intramolecular NH...O hydrogen bond between the SO3 oxygen and amide NH. In the detailed comparison with the intense NH...O hydrogen bonds for the carboxylate, weak NH...O hydrogen bonds for sulfonate is due to the strong conjugation of the SO3- group with the lower nucleophilicity.  相似文献

The FT IR and FT Raman spectra of Co(en)3Al3P4O16.3H2O (compound I) and [NH4]3[Co(NH3)6]3[Al2 (PO4)4]2.2H2O (compound II) are recorded and analysed based on the vibrations of Co(en)(3)3+, Co(NH3)(6)3+, NH4, Al-O-P, PO3, PO2 and H2O. The observed splitting of bands indicate that the site symmetry and correlation field effects are appreciable in both the compounds. In compound I, the overtone of CH2 deformation Fermi resonates with its symmetric stretching vibration. The NH4 ion in compound II is not free to rotate in the crystalline lattice. Hydrogen bonding of different groups is also discussed.  相似文献

Reaction of aqueous/ethanolic solutions of CoCl2.6H2O and nitrilotripropionic acid (H3ntp=N(CH2CH2COOH)3) in the presence of potassium hydroxide affords the hydroxy-bridged tetranuclear cluster [Co4mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (1). The Ni(II) analogue [Ni4(mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (2) can also be isolated using aqueous solutions and Ni(SO4).7H2O as metal salt. With small changes in reaction conditions the methoxy-bridged analogue, [Ni4(mu3-OMe)2(H2O)6(ntp)2](3), can also be isolated. In these tetramers the M(II) ions are oxygen-bridged and exhibit a defect dicubane-like core with two missing vertices. The magnetic properties have been studied for all three clusters and reveal competing antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions between the four Co(II) ions in 1 and ferromagnetic coupling between the four Ni(II) ions in 2 and 3. In all three compounds the individual clusters order antiferromagnetically at Neel temperatures below 1 K.  相似文献

Liquid-liquid extraction of Co(II) and Zn(II) by methylisobutylcetone (MIBK) has been studied systematically from NH(4)SCN/H(2)SO(4) media. The influence of sulphuric acid concentration on the percentage of extraction of Co(II) and Zn(II) has been discussed. It is shown that sulphuric acid concentration has not the same effect on distribution curves of Co(II) and Zn(II). Thus, it is possible to have a separation of Zn(II) of Co(II) when [NH(4)SCN] is 0.5 mol l(-1) and [H(2)SO(4)] is about 2 mol l(-1). Under these conditions the separation factor (S(Zn/Co)) is around 580. The results are treated in terms of thermodynamic activities in aqueous phase, to determine the composition of the extracted complexes (M:SCN(-)) and to discuss the extraction mechanism.  相似文献

Seven new glutaric acid complexes, Co(H 2O) 5L 1, Na 2[CoL 2] 2, Na 2[L(H 2L) 4/2] 3, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.4H 2O 4, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.10H 2O 5, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2]L 2/2}.4H 2O 6, and Na 2{[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2].6H 2O 7 were obtained and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods along with elemental analyses, IR spectroscopic and magnetic measurements (for 1 and 2). The [Co(H 2O) 5L] complex molecules in 1 are assembled into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture based on intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Compound 2 consists of the Na (+) cations and the necklace-like glutarato doubly bridged [ C o L 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains, and 3 is composed of the Na (+) cations and the anionic hydrogen bonded ladder-like [ L ( H 2 L ) 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains. The trinuclear {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2} complex molecules with edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 4 and 5 are hydrogen bonded into two-dimensional (2D) networks. The edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 6 are bridged by glutarato ligands to generate one-dimensional (1D) chains, which are then assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D supramolecular networks. The corner-shared linear [Co 3O 16] trioctahedra in 7 are quaternate bridged by glutarato ligands to form 1D band-like anionic {[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2} (2+) chains, which are assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D layers, and between them are sandwiched the Na (+) cations. The magnetic behaviors of 1 and 2 obey the Curie-Weiss law with chi m = C/( T - Theta) with the Curie constant C = 3.012(8) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and the Weiss constant Theta = -9.4(7) K for 1, as well as C = 2.40(1) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and Theta = -2.10(5) K for 2, indicating weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co(II) ions.  相似文献

FT IR and FT Raman spectra of Ag3(PO2NH), (Compound 1), Na3(PO2NH)3 x H2O (Compound II), Na3(PO2NH)3 x 4H2O (Compound III), [C(NH2)3]3(PO2NH)3 x H2O (Compound IV) and (NH4)4(PO2NH)4 x 4H2O (Compound V) are recorded and analyzed on the basis of the anions, cations and water molecules present in each of them. The PO2NH- anion ring in compound I is distorted due to the influence of Ag+ cation. Wide variation in the hydrogen bond lengths in compound III is indicated by the splitting of the v2 and v3 modes of vibration of water molecules. The NH4 ion in compound V occupies lower site symmetry and exhibits hindered rotation in the lattice. The correlations between the symmetric and asymmetric stretching vibrations of P-N-P bridge and the P-N-P bond angle have also been discussed.  相似文献

A straightforward method for synthesizing soluble homoleptic trimethylsilylacetylide complexes of first-row transition metal ions is presented. Reaction of anhydrous CrCl2 with an excess of LiCCSiMe3 in THF at -25 degrees C affords orange Li3[Cr(CCSiMe3)6].6THF (1), while analogous reactions employing M(CF3SO3)2 (M = Fe or Co) generate pale yellow Li4[Fe(CCSiMe3)6].4LiCCSiMe3.4Et2O (2) and colorless Li3[Co(CCSiMe3)6].6THF (3). Slightly modified reaction conditions lead to Li8[Cr2O4(CCSiMe3)6].6LiCCSiMe3.4glyme (4), featuring a bis-mu-oxo-bridged binuclear complex, and Li3[Co(CCSiMe3)5(CCH)].LiCF3SO3.8THF (5). The crystal structures of 1-3 show the trimethylsilylacetylide complexes to display an octahedral coordination geometry, with M-C distances of 2.077(3), 1.917(7)-1.935(7), and 1.908(3) angstroms for M = Cr(III), Fe(II), and Co(III), respectively, and nearly linear M-C[triple bond]C angles. The UV-visible absorption spectrum of [Cr(CCSiMe3)6]3- in hexanes exhibits one spin-allowed d-d transition (4T2g <-- 4A1g) and three lower-energy spin-forbidden d-d transitions. The spectra of [Fe(CCSiMe3)6]4- and [Co(CCSiMe3)6]3- in acetonitrile display high-intensity charge-transfer bands, which obscure all d-d transitions except for the lowest-energy spin-allowed band (1T1g <-- 1A1g) of the latter complex. Time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations were employed as an aide in assigning the observed transitions. Taken together, the results are most consistent with the ligand field parameters delta(o) = 20,200 cm(-1) and B = 530 cm(-1) for [Cr(CCSiMe3)6]3-, delta(o) = 32 450 cm(-1) and B = 460 cm(-1) for [Fe(CCSiMe3)6]4- and delta(o) = 32 500 cm(-1) and B = 516 cm(-1) for [Co(CCSiMe3)6]3-. Ground-state DFT calculations support the conclusion that trimethylsilylacetylide acts as a pi-donor ligand.  相似文献

Hydrothermal reaction of H(3)PO(3), CH(3)NH(2), zinc(II) acetate, 4,4'-bipyridine (bipy), and (NH(4))(6)Mo(7)O(24).4H(2)O at 180 degrees C led to a novel organic-inorganic layered hybrid, [CH(3)NH(3)][H(2)bipy][Zn(4)(bipy)(3)(H(2)O)(2)Mo(V)(8)Mo(VI)O(36)(PO(4))].4H(2)O (1). Its structure was established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with cell parameters of a = 17.3032(2), b = 17.8113(3), and c = 23.4597 (4) A, beta = 106.410(1) degrees, V = 6935.6(2) A(3), and Z = 4. The structure of compound 1 features a novel 2D layer built from the 8e-reduced tetracapped Keggin [Zn(4)Mo(12)O(36)(PO(4))](3)(-) anions, which are further interconnected by bridging bipy ligands. The four zinc(II) ions are in tetrahedral, trigonal bipyramidal, and octahedral coordination geometries, respectively.  相似文献

The role of different H-bonds in phases II, III, IV, and V of triammonium hydrogen disulfate, (NH(4)(+))(3)H(+)(SO(4)(2)(-))(2), has been studied by X-ray diffraction and (1)H solid-state MAS NMR. The proper space group for phase II is C2/c, for phases III and IV is P2/n, and for phase V is P onemacr;. The structures of phases III and IV seem to be the same. The hydrogen atom participating in the O(-)-H(+).O(-) H-bond in phase II of (NH(4)(+))(3)H(+)(SO(4)(2)(-))(2) at room temperature is split at two positions around the center of the crucial O(-)-H(+).O(-) H-bonding, joining two SO(4)(2)(-) tetrahedra. With decreasing temperature, it becomes localized at one of the oxygen atoms. Further cooling causes additional differentiation of possibly equivalent sulfate dimers. The NH(4)(+) ions participate mainly in bifurcated H-bonds with two oxygen atoms from sulfate anions. On cooling, the major contribution of the bifurcated H-bond becomes stronger, whereas the minor one becomes weaker. This is coupled with rotation of sulfate ions. In all the phases of (NH(4)(+))(3)H(+)(SO(4)(2)(-))(2), some additional, weak but significant, reflections are observed. They are located between the layers of the reciprocal lattice, suggesting possible modulation of the host (NH(4)(+))(3)H(+)(SO(4)(2)(-))(2) structure(s). According to (1)H MAS NMR obtained for phases II and III, the nature of the acidic proton disorder is dynamic, and localization of the proton takes place in a broader range of temperatures, as can be expected from the X-ray diffraction data.  相似文献

A structurally diverse array of polynuclear complexes has been identified and structurally characterized from the reaction of 6-methylpyridine-2-methanol (1) with a range of cobalt(II) salts under a variety of reaction conditions. A tetranuclear cubane, [Co4(1-H)4Cl4(H2O)3(CH3OH)], was isolated from the reaction of 1 with CoCl2.6H2O and NaOH in MeOH, and a tetranuclear double cubane, [Co4(1-H)6(NO3)2], was isolated from the reaction of 1 with Co(NO3)2.6H2O and NEt3 in MeOH. A bowl-shaped trinuclear complex, [Co3(1-H)3Cl3(dmso)], which features a triply bridging dmso ligand, assembled upon mixing 1 and CoCl2.6H2O in dmso. A 1-D coordination polymer, [Co(1)2(SO4)](infinity), where the sulfate ligands bridge "[Co(1)2]" units in a mu2:eta1 fashion to build up the polymer structure, was isolated from the reaction of 1 with CoSO4.7H2O. The reaction of the structurally related ligand 8-hydroxyquinaldine (2) with a mixture of CoCl2.6H2O and Co(OAc)2.4H2O lead to the formation of the tetranuclear double cubane, [Co4(2-H)6Cl2]. Temperature-dependent magnetic measurements have also been performed for these five complexes along with the hydrogen-bonded helicate [Co2(1)2(1-H)2]. The hydrogen bonds of the helicate mediate antiferromagnetic interactions between the cobalt(II) centers (J = -3.18(9) cm(-1), g = 2.25(2)). The sulfate bridging ligands of [Co(1)2(SO4)](infinity) are poor mediators of magnetic exchange. The Co(II) centers in the double-cubane complexes [Co4(1-H)6(NO3)2] and [Co4(2-H)6Cl2] are strongly antiferromagnetically coupled to each other at low temperature to give an S = 0 ground state. [Co4(1-H)4Cl4(H2O)3(MeOH)] exhibits rather complicated magnetic behavior; however, we did not observe any evidence for single-molecule magnetism as was seen for structurally related complexes.  相似文献

Reaction of acidified (pH approximately 7) sodium tungstate solutions with transition metal cations (Fe(3+), Ni(2+), Zn(2+), Co(2+)) leads to the formation of transition-metal-disubstituted Keggin-type heteropolytungstates with 3d-metal ions distributed over three different positions. A detailed investigation of the synthesis conditions confirmed that the complexes could equally be obtained using aqueous solutions of either Na(2)WO(4).2H(2)O (sodium monotungstate) at pH approximately 7, Na(6)[W(7)O(24)]. approximately 14H(2)O (sodium paratungstate A), or Na(10)[H(2)W(12)O(42)].27H(2)O (sodium paratungstate B) as starting materials. Three complexes, (NH(4))(6)Ni(II)(0.5)[alpha-Fe(III)O(4)W(11)O(30)Ni(II)O(5)(OH(2))].18H(2)O, (NH(4))(7)Zn(0.5)[alpha-ZnO(4)W(11)O(30) ZnO(5)(OH(2))].18H(2)O, and (NH(4))(7)Ni(II)(0.5)[alpha-ZnO(4)W(11)O(30)Ni(II)O(5)(OH(2))].18H(2)O were isolated in crystalline form. X-ray single-crystal structure analysis revealed that the solid-state structures of the three compounds consist of four main structural fragments, namely [MO(4)W(11)O(30)M'O(5)(OH(2))](n-) (Keggin-type, alpha-isomer) heteropolytungstates, hexaquo metal cations, [M'(OH(2))(6)](2+), ammonium-water cluster ions, [(NH(4)(+))(8)(OH(2))(12)], and additional ammonium cations and water molecules. The 3d metals occupy the central (tetrahedral, M) and the peripheral (octahedral, M') positions of the Keggin anion, as well as cationic sites (M') outside of the polyoxotungstate framework. UV-vis spectroscopy, solution ((1)H, (183)W) and solid-state ((1)H) NMR, and also chemical analysis data provided evidence that the 3d-metal-disubstituted Keggin anions do not exist in solution but are being formed only during the crystallization process. Reaction of Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with (NH(4))(2)SO(3) in the mixed-solvent system H(2)O/CH(3)CN (pH = 5) resulted in the formation of the tetranuclear cluster (NH(4))(4)[Mo(4)(VI)SO(16)] x H(2)O (1), while the same reaction in acidic aqueous solution (pH = 5) yielded (NH(4))(4)[Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)] x 3H(2)O (2). Compound {(H(2)bipy)(2)[Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)] x H(2)O}(x) (3) was obtained from the reaction of aqueous acidic solution of Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with (NH(4))(2)SO(3) (pH = 2.5) and 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy). The mixed metal/sulfite species (NH(4))(7)[Co(III)(Mo(2)(V)O(4))(NH(3))(SO(3))(6)] x 4H(2)O (4) was synthesized by reacting Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with CoCl(2) x 6H(2)O and (NH(4))(2)SO(3) with precise control of pH (5.3) through a redox reaction. The X-ray crystal structures of compounds 1, 2, and 4 were determined. The structure of compound 1 consists of a ring of four alternately face- and edge-sharing Mo(VI)O(6) octahedra capped by the trigonal pyramidal sulfite anion, while at the base of the Mo(4) ring is an oxo group which is asymmetrically shared by all four molybdenum atoms. Compound 3 is based on the Strandberg-type heteropolyion [Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)](4-), and these coordinatively saturated clusters are joined by diprotonated 4,4'-H(2)bipy(2+) through strong hydrogen bonds. Compound 3 crystallizes in the chiral space group C2. The structure of compound 4 consists of a novel trinuclear [Co(III)Mo(2)(V)SO(3)(2-)] cluster. The chiral compound 3 exhibits nonlinear optical (NLO) and photoluminescence properties. The assignment of the sulfite bands in the IR spectrum of 4 has been carried out by density functional calculations. The cobalt in 4 is a d(6) octahedral low-spin metal atom as it was evidenced by magnetic susceptibility measurements, cw EPR, BVS, and DFT calculations. The IR and solid-state UV-vis spectra as well as the thermogravimetric analyses of compounds 1-4 are also reported.  相似文献

The structure of a new metastable geometric isomer of [Ru(NH3)4(H2O)(SO2)][MeC6H4SO3]2 in which the SO2 group is coordinated through a single oxygen in an eta1-OSO bonding mode has been determined at 13 K; the new isomer was obtained as a 36% component of the structure within a single crystal upon irradiation using a tungsten lamp.  相似文献
