A new chelate (η5-C5H5)2Ti(SB)2, whereSB=O, N donor Schiff base salicylidene-4-methylaniline, was synthesized. The course of thermal degradation of the chelate was studied by thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) under dynamic conditions of temperature. The order of the thermal decomposition reaction and energy of activation was calculated from TG curve while from DTA curve the change in enthalpy was calculated. Evaluation of the kinetic parameters was performed by Coats-Redfern as well as Piloyan-Novikova methods which gaven=1, ΔH=1.114 kJ·mol?1, ΔE=27.01 kJ·mol?1, ΔS=?340.12 kJ·mol?1·K?1 andn=1, ΔH=1.114 kJ·mol?1, ΔE=20.01 kJ·mol?1, ΔS=?342.60 kJ·mol?1·K?1, respectively. The chelate was also characterized on the basis of different spectral studies viz. conductance, molecular weight, IR, UV-visible and1H NMR, which enabled to propose an octahedral structure to the chelate.  相似文献

LnAcbenz3 · 3H2O complexes of Eu3+, Tb3+, Dy3+, Sm3+, and Gd3+ with 2-acetylbenzoic acid (HAcbenz) have been synthesized. The complexes have been studied by thermogravimetry and infrared and luminescence spectroscopy. According to IR spectroscopy data, the complexation of Acbenz? with lanthanide ions occurs due to the bidentate coordination of carboxyl groups. According to thermal analysis, the complexes are dehydrated at a temperature above 140°C, and their thermodestruction begins at a temperature above 250°C. From the luminescence spectra measured at 77 and 300 K, it has been established that the integral luminescence intensity of EuAcbenz3 · 3H2O and TbAcbenz3 ° 3H2O is, respectively, 10 and 19 times higher than for tris-benzoates of the same metals. TbAcbenz3 ° 3H2O, the most intensively luminescing complex, is recommended for use as a promising luminescent material.  相似文献

N,N-dimethyl-3-oxa-glutaramic acid was purified and characterized by 1H-NMR, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and elemental analysis. The thermal decomposition of the title compound was studied by means of thermogravimetry differential thermogravimetry (TG-DTG) and FT-IR. The kinetic parameters of its second-stage decomposition reaction were calculated and the decomposition mechanism was discussed. The kinetic model function in a differential form, apparent activation energy and pre-exponential constant of the reaction are 3/2 [(1?α)1/3?1]?1, 203.75 kJ·mol?1 and 1017.95s?1, respectively. The values of ΔS , ΔH and ΔG of the reaction are 94.28 J·mol?1·K?1, 203.75 kJ·mol?1 and 155.75 kJ·mol?1, respectively.  相似文献

Five new volatile lithium complexes were synthesized by reactions of lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LiOH · H2O) with β-diketones, namely, dipivaloylmethane (HDpm), hexafluoroacetylacetone (HHfa), trifluoroacetylacetone (HTfa), benzoyltrifluoroacetone (HBtfa), pivaloyltrifluoroacetone (HPta), and valeryltrifluoroacetone (HVta). The complexes obtained were studied by IR and electronic absorption spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and comprehensive thermal analysis. The temperature dependence of the vapor pressure, which was obtained by the Knudsen effusion method with mass-spectrometric analysis of the vapor phase composition in the 400–450 K range, was used to calculate the standard thermodynamic parameters of the Li(Dpm) sublimation: ΔH°subl = 45.7 ± 1.7 kcal mol?1 and ΔS°subl = 77.9 ± 4.0 cal mol?1 K?1.  相似文献

The thermodynamic parameters ΔF, ΔH and ΔS of the complexes of Cm(III), C(III) and Tm(III) with the SCN? ion have been determined at 30°C in ammonium ion medium of unit ionic strength by the temperature variation method. It has been concluded that both the thiocyanate complexes of trivalent actinides and lanthanides are predominantly inner-sphere type. The higher stability of the second complexes of trivalent actinides is reflected either in the enthalpy or the entropy change depending on the degree of hydration of the trivalent actinide ions. The implications of the greater free energy change for PuSCN2+ as compared with other trivalent actinide or lanthanide first thiocyanate complexes are discussed.  相似文献

Understanding the response of drugs and their formulations to thermal stresses is an integral part of the development of stable medicinal products. In the present study, the thermal degradation of two drug samples (cetirizine and simvastatin) was determined by differential scanning calorimetery (DSC) and simultaneous thermogravimetery/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA) techniques. The results of TG analysis revealed that the main thermal degradation for the cetirizine occurs during two temperature ranges of 165–227 and 247–402 °C. The TG/DTA analysis of simvastatin indicates that this drug melts (at about 143 °C) before it decomposes. The main thermal degradation for the simvastatin occurs during two endothermic behaviors in the temperature ranges of 238–308 and 308–414 °C. The influence of the heating rate (5, 10, 15, and 20 °C min?1) on the DSC behavior of both the drug samples was verified. The results showed that as the heating rate was increased, decomposition temperatures of the compounds were increased. Also, the kinetic parameters such as activation energy and frequency factor for the compounds were obtained from the DSC data by non-isothermal methods proposed by ASTM E696 and Ozawa. Based on the values of activation energy obtained by ASTM E696 method, the values of activation energy for cetirizine and simvastatin were 120.8 and 170.9 kJ mol?1, respectively. Finally, the values of ΔS #, ΔH #, and ΔG # of their decomposition reaction were calculated.  相似文献

Formation constants of mixed ligand complexes of Cu2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, and Mn2+,with cyadine-5′-monophosphoric acid (CMP) and various primary ligands such as 1,10-phenanthroline(phen), glycylglycine(glygly) and salicylic acid (sal) have been determined in aqueous solution at 35°C and 0.1 M (KNO3) by potentiomeric measurements. The acid dissociation constants of all the above mentioned ligands together with their 1 : 1 binary metal complex formation constants were also measured at 35°C. In general all the 1 : 1 binary complexes follow the Irving-Williams order of stability. Further the binary metal complexes of primary ligands are more stable than their ternary complexes with CMP. For ternary complexes, Δ(log K) values seem to change from positive to highly negative as the coordinating atoms of the primary ligands were varied from N,N to N,O? to O?O?. The higher stability of ternary complexes involving phen is due to its Π-bonding interaction with the above metal ions and the relative decrease in the stability of other ternary systems is due to the coulombic repulsion of donor oxygen atoms of primary and secondary ligands. Thus for ternary complexes the stabilities follow a decreasing order of M-phen-CMP > M-glygly-CMP > M-sal-CMP.  相似文献

The stability constants (Kf) for the complexation reactions of Cr3+, Mn2+ and Zn2+ metal cations with macrocyclic ligand, 15-crown-5 (15C5), in acetonitrile (AN), ethanol (EtOH) and also in their binary solutions (AN–EtOH) were determined at different temperatures, using conductometric method. 15C5 forms 1:1 complexes with Cr3+, Mn2+ and Zn2+ cations in solutions. A non-linear behaviour was observed for changes of logKf of the metal ion complexes versus the composition of the mixed solvent. The order of stability of the metal–ion complexes in pure AN and in a binary solution of AN–EtOH (mol% AN?=?52) at 25?°C was found to be: (15C5Zn)2+?>?(15C5·Mn)2+?>?(15C5·Cr)3+, but in the case of pure EtOH at the same temperature, it changes to: (15C5·Zn)2+?>?(15C5·Cr)3+?>?(15C5·Mn)2+. The results also show that the stability sequence of the complexes in the other binary solutions of AN–EtOH (mol% AN?=?26 and mol% AN?=?76) varies in order: (15C5·Cr)3+?~?(15C5·Zn)2+?>?(15C5·Mn)2+. The values of the standard thermodynamic quantities (ΔHC°, ΔSC°) for formation of (15C15-Cr3+), (15C5-Mn2+) and (15C5-Zn2+) complexes were obtained from the temperature dependence of the stability constants and the results show that the thermodynamics of complexation reactions is affected by nature and composition of the solvent systems and in most solution systems, the complexes are enthalpy stabilized but entropy destabilized.  相似文献

Four trienes of known stereochemistry have been prepared and their thermal cyclization studied to ascertain the general stereochemistry of thermal triene electrocyclic reactions. A mixture containing (Z)-1,2-dicyclohexenylethylene was obtained by semihydrogenation. Spectra evidence for thermal cyclization of the triene was obtained, but inability to isolate pure materials canceled plans for stereochemical study.A stereoselective synthesis for (E,Z,E)-2,4,6-octatriene was devised and a pure sample was cyclized thermally to give a 5,6-dimethylcyclohexadiene. Oxidative cleavage of this diene gave meso-2,3-dimethylsuccinic acid. Pure samples of (Z,Z,E)- and (Z,Z,Z)-2,4,6-octatrienes were prepared and found to interconvert thermally at 110°. Cyclization of the equilibrium mixture occurred at 178° to give a 5,6-dimethylcyclohexadiene which gave rac-2,3-dimethylsuccinic acid upon oxidative cleavage. Evidence is presented to suggest that the (E,Z,Z) isomer is the actual reactant undergoing cyclization. Both cyclohexadienes were shown to undergo a 1,5-hydrogen shift to form 1,6-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexadiene.Rates of the electrocyclic reactions were measured in pentane solution, and thermodynamic activation parameters were ascertained. The results are: (E,Z,E) k(132°) = 4·45 × 10?5 sec?1, ΔH
= 28·6 kcal/mole and ΔS
= ?7 eu; (E,Z,Z)+(Z,Z,Z) k(178°)= 1·53 × 10?5 sec?1 or (E,Z,Z) k(178°) = 2·13 × 10?5 sec?1, ΔH
= 32 kcal/mole, ΔS
= ?9 eu; cis-5,6-dimethyl-1,3-cyclohexadiene (1,5-H shift), k(178°) = 1·77 × 10?5 sec?1, ΔH

The behaviour of 1,10-diaza-4,7-dithiadecane (2,2,2-NSSN) in aqueous solution in equilibria with protons, Cu2+ or Ni2+ ions has been investigated potentiometrically and calorimetrically. The protonation constants for the ligand, and the stability constants for its complexes at 25°C in 0.5 mole dm?3 (K)NO3 are reported, together with the corresponding thermodynamic parameters ΔG, ΔH and ΔS. The results are compared with those for 1-aza-4-thiapentane and 1,7-diaza-4-thiaheptane. The ligand 2,2,2-NSSN forms complexes of formula ML2+ and MHL3+ with both Cu2+ and Ni2+. It is found that in the non-protonated 1:1 complexes the ligand acts as a tetradentate. In the CuHL3+ complex, the ligand is bound through one nitrogen and two sulphur donors, whereas in the NiHL3+ complex the ligand is probably bound through only one nitrogen and one sulphur donor. Explanations are suggested.  相似文献

Vanadium(II) ions form with the pyridine-2-carboxylate ligand a deep blue, tris-substituted complex absorbing at 660 nm (ε = 7.2 × 103 M?1) cm?1) with a shoulder at 450 nm. Reversible spectroelectrochemistry and cyclic voltammetry were observed for this complex, with E12 = ?0.448 V vs NHE, and ΔSrcθ = ?6 cal · mol?1 · deg?1. Electron transfer kinetics with [CO(en)3]3+ led to k12 = 3100 M?1 s?, ΔH = 12.4 kcal · mol?1 and ΔS = ?0.9 cal · mol?1 · deg?1 (I = 0.10 M). For the related [Co(NH3)6]3+ complex, k13 = 1.9 × 104 M?1 s?1. The self-exchange rate constant and activation parameters were analysed in terms of relative Marcus theory.  相似文献

The isomeric acetamido benzoic acids (abbreviated as acambH) on reaction with hydrazine hydrate and lanthanides, La3+, Ce3+, Pr3+, Nd3+, Sm3+ and Gd3+ form complexes of formulae, [Ln{x-C6H4(CH3CONH)}3(N2H4)] where x = 2 (or) 3 (or) 4, at pH 3–4.5 in (1:1) aqueous ethanolic medium, which are insoluble in water and organic solvents. They are characterized by using elemental analysis, IR, UV, 13C, 1H NMR and mass spectroscopic, XRD, SEM-EDAX, thermal and conductance studies. The difference between IR bands of vC=O asym (acid) and vC=O sym(acid) range, 122–166 cm?1 supports the bidental coordination of carboxylate ions to metal. vN-N values of 955 to 980 cm?1, substantiate bridging bidentate coordination of hydrazine to metal. vC=O of amide group 1632 to1709 cm?1 indicates its non-coordination with metal. The thermal studies reveal that complexes undergo dehydrazination between 52 and 180 °C and exothermic degradation into phthalate intermediate between 172 and 496 °C and further degradation to form microsized metal oxide around 600 °C. The magnetic susceptibility measurements indicated that the presence of metals in the same electronic state and electronic spectral assignments suggested that the coordination number is eight for the complexes. The conductance measurement results in DMSO medium indicated that the complexes are neutral. The 13C – NMR, 1H- NMR and the LC-Mass techniques substantiated the composition of the complexes.  相似文献

The protonation and complex formation equilibria of two biodegradable aminopolycarboxylate chelants {dl-2-(2-carboxymethyl)nitrilotriacetic acid (GLDA) and 3-hydroxy-2,2??-iminodisuccinic acid (HIDS)} with Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions were investigated using the potentiometric method at a constant ionic strength of I?=?0.10?mol·dm?3 (KCl) in aqueous solutions at 25?±?0.1?°C. The stability constants of the proton?Cchelant and metal?Cchelant species for each metal ion were determined, and the concentration distributions of various complex species in solution were evaluated for each ion. The stability constants (log10 K ML) of the complexes containing Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions followed the identical order of log10 K CuL?>?log10 K NiL?>?log10 K PbL?>?log10 K ZnL?>?log10 K CdL for either GLDA (13.03?>?12.74?>?11.60?>?11.52?>?10.31) or HIDS (12.63?>?11.30?>?10.21?>?9.76?>?7.58). In each case, the constants obtained for metal?CGLDA complexes were larger than the corresponding constants for metal?CHIDS complexes. The conditional stability constants (log10 $ K_{\text{ML}}^{'} $ ) of the metal?Cchelant complexes containing GLDA and HIDS were calculated in terms of pH, and compared with the stability constants for EDTA and other biodegradable chelants.  相似文献

Pd-catalyzed double carbomethoxylation of the Diels-Alder adduct of cyclo-pentadiene and maleic anhydride yielded the methyl norbornane-2,3-endo-5, 6-exo-tetracarboxylate ( 4 ) which was transformed in three steps into 2,3,5,6-tetramethyl-idenenorbornane ( 1 ). The cycloaddition of tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) to 1 giving the corresponding monoadduct 7 was 364 times faster (toluene, 25°) than the addition of TCNE to 7 yielding the bis-adduct 9 . Similar reactivity trends were observed for the additions of TCNE to the less reactive 2,3,5,6-tetramethylidene-7-oxanorbornane ( 2 ). The following second order rate constants (toluene, 25°) and activation parameters were obtained for: 1 + TCNE → 7 : k1 = (255 + 5) 10?4 mol?1 · s?1, ΔH≠ = (12.2 ± 0.5) kcal/mol, ΔS≠ = (?24.8 ± 1.6) eu.; 7 + TCNE → 9 , k2 = (0.7 ± 0.02) 10?4 mol?1 · s?1, ΔH≠ = (14.1 ± 1.0) kcal/mol, ΔS≠ = ( ?30 ± 3.5) eu.; 2 + TCNE → 8 : k1 = (1.5 ± 0.03) 10?4 mol?1 · s?1, ΔH≠ = (14.8 ± 0.7) kcal/mol, ΔS≠ = (?26.4 ± 2.3) eu.; 8 + TCNE → 10 ; k2 = (0.004 ± 0.0002) 10?4 mol?1 · s?1, ΔH≠ = (17 ± 1.5) kcal/mol, ΔS≠ = (?30 ± 4) eu. The possible origins of the relatively large rate ratios k1/k2 are discussed briefly.  相似文献

The adsorption of the uranyl ions from aqueous solutions on the nanoporous ZnO powders has been investigated under different experimental conditions. The adsorption of uranyl on nanoporous ZnO powders were examined as a function of the contact times, pH of the solution, concentration of uranium(VI) and temperature. The ability of this material to remove U(VI) from aqueous solution was followed by a series of Langmuir and Freunlinch adsorption isotherms. The adsorption percent and distribution coefficient for nanoporous ZnO powders were 98.65 % ± 1.05 and 7,304 mL g?1, respectively. The optimum conditions were found as at pH 5.0, contact time 1 h, at 1/5 Zn2+/urea ratio, 50 ppm U(VI) concentration and 303 K. The monomolecular adsorption capacity of nanoporous ZnO powders for U(VI) was found to be 1,111 mg g?1 at 303 K. Using the thermodynamic equilibrium constants obtained at different temperatures, various thermodynamic parameters, such as ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS°, have been calculated. Thermodynamic parameters (ΔH° = 28.1 kJ mol ?1, ΔS° = 160.30 J mol?1 K?1, ΔG° = ?48.54 kJ mol?1) showed the endothermic and spontaneous of the process. The results suggested that nanoporous ZnO powders was suitable as sorbent material for recovery and adsorption of U(VI) ions from aqueous solutions.  相似文献
