The influence of pionic corrections to the masses of heavier hadrons is investigated in the cloudy bag model. After determining the bag parameters from ordinary baryons and mesons the heavier hadron mass spectrum is calculated. A sizable amount of pionic correction is observed which has improved the masses favourably.  相似文献

Possible variations of the quark-meson coupling (QMC) model are examined in which the bag constant decreases in the nuclear medium. The reduction is supposed to depend on either the mean scalar field or the effective mass of the nucleon. It is shown that the electric and magnetic radii of the bound nucleon are almost linearly correlated with the bag constant. Using the fact that the size of the bound nucleon inside a nucleus is strongly constrained by y-scaling data in quasi-elastic, electron-nucleus scattering, we set a limit for the reduction allowed in the bag constant for these two models. The present study implies that the bag constant can decrease up to 10–17% at average nuclear density, depending on the details of the model.  相似文献

We examine the consequences of a variable (density-dependent) bag pressure term and a fixed hadronic size in the phenomenological MIT bag model for hadron spectroscopy. Mass spectrum of the low-lying baryons and mesons, baryon magnetic moments and the hadron mass splittings are estimated. These are found to be in closer agreement with experiment than the MIT results.  相似文献

K- condensation and quark deconfinement phase transitions in neutron stars are investigated. We use the modified quark-meson coupling model for hadronic phase and the MIT bag model for quark phase. With the equation of state (EOS) solved self-consistently, we discuss the properties of neutron stars. We find that the EOS of pure hadron matter with condensed K- phase should be ruled out by the redshift for star EXO0748-676, while EOS containing unpaired quark matter phase with B1/4 being about 180 MeV could be consistent with both this observation and the best measured mass of star PSR 1913+16. But if the recent inferred massive star among Terzan 5 with M>1.68M is confirmed, all the present EOSes with condensed phase and deconfined phase would be ruled out.  相似文献

The vector and tensor couplings of the ρ-meson to the nucleon are calculated by assuming the indirect coupling of the ρ-meson to the nucleon, through the pion cloud of the chiral bag model. Qualitative agreement with experiment is found at reasonable bag radii for both versions of the model: the cloudy bag model with pions in the interior, and the standard model with pions excluded from the bag.  相似文献

本文回顾了强子结构袋模型几年来所取得进展,着重介绍近两年来的进展。总结是沿以下三个方面进行的,(一)理论描述的进一步完善,包括半定量地介绍了R.L.Jaffe等人最近提出的,考虑到手征对称的混合袋模型。(二)袋模型对强子静态性质的应用,包括轻夸克强子和重夸克强子的质量谱,以及对π介子质量的重新考虑。(三)多夸克强子,分析了它们分类情况,并估计了它们的质量。袋模型对于强子衰变,强子碰撞等动态过程,以及对原子核的应用成就不多,进展不大,而且篇幅有限,未作定量介绍。  相似文献

Influences of the bag constant on the properties of hybrid stars are investigated by using relativistic mean field theory and the MIT bag model to describe the hadron phase and quark phase in the interior of neutron stars, respectively. Our results indicate that the onset of hadron-quark phase transition is put off and the appearance of hyperon species is increased with the increase in bag constant. As a result, the hybrid star equation of state for a mixed phase range stiffens whereas that of the quark phase range softens, and the gravitational mass as well as the corresponding radius of hybrid stars are increased obviously. The gravitational mass of a hybrid star is increased from 1.42 Mo (M<,⊙> is solar mass) to 1.63M<,⊙> and the corresponding radius is changed from 9.1 km to 12.2 km when the bag constant (B<'1/4>) is increased from 170 MeV to 200 MeV. It is interesting to find that hybrid star equations of state become non-smooth when the TM2 parameter sets in the framework of relativistic mean field theory used to describe the hadronic matter, and consequently, the third family of compact stars appear in the mass-radius relations of hybrid stars in the narrow scope of the bag constant from 175 MeV to 180 MeV. These show that the choice of the bag constant in the MIT bag model has significant influence on the properties of hybrid stars.  相似文献

The transition from hadron phase to strange quark phase in dense matter is investigated. Instead of using the conventional bag model in quark sect, we achieve the confinement by a density-dependent quark mass derived from in-medium chiral condensates, with a thermodynamic problem improved. In nuclear slot, we adopt the equation of state from Brueckner-Bethe-Goldstone approach with three-body force. It is found that the mixed phase can occur, for reasonable confinement parameter, near the normal saturation density, and transit to pure quark matter at 4—5 times the saturation, which is quite different from the previous results from other quark models that pure quark phase can not appear at neutron-star densities.  相似文献

Properties of hybrid stars with a mixed phase composed of asymmetric nuclear matter and strange quark matter are studied. The quark phase is investigated by the quark quasiparticle model with a self-consistent thermodynamic and statistical treatment. We present the stability windows of the strange quark matter with respect to the interaction coupling constant versus the bag constant. We find that the appearance of the quark–hadron mixed phases is associated with the meta-stable or unstable regions of the pure quark matter parameters. The mass–radius relation of the hybrid star is dominated by the equation of state of quark matter rather than nuclear matter. The contour plots of the maximum mass of the hybrid star are shown in the plane of the coupling constant and the bag constant.  相似文献

We study a chirally symmetric effective model of quantum chromodynamics, where the long-range parts of the (non-abelian) gluon self-interactions are assumed to give rise to a color-dielectric field. In particular we show how in this model confinement and the Goldstone pion arise naturally and simultaneously from dynamical chiral symmetry breaking. We investigate the structure of a proton in free space by using the quark-meson coupling model. In the model, a proton in free space is regarded as a MIT bag with σ, ω and ρ meson fields and the Coulomb potential. 采用手征σ模型描述核多体系统,考虑真空极化的影响,首先由核物质的饱和性质确定模型参数,进一步研究了强子性质在核介质中的变化。手征σ模型的研究结果给出,核子和ω介子的有效质量随核物质密度的增大而减小,但σ介子的有效质量随密度的增大而增大。这些结果与不满足手征对称性的Walecka模型结果进行了比较。计算中采用的重整化方法会对结果有一定的影响。The modification of hadron masses in nuclear medium is studied by using the chiral sigma model, which is extended to generate the omega meson mass by the sigma condensation in the vacuum in the same way as the nucleon mass. The chiral sigma model provides proper equilibrium properties of nuclear matter. It is shown that the effective masses of both nucleons and omega mesons decrease in nuclear medium, while the effective mass of sigma mesons increases at finite density in the chiral sigma model. The resuits obtained in the chiral sigma model are compared with those obtained in the Walecka model, which includes sigma and omega mesons in a non-chiral fashion.  相似文献

The chiral bag plus skyrmion hybrid model is studied as a model for nucleons. The hybrid model is solved numerically, where great care has been taken to remove the divergence in the boundary condition at the chiral bag surface for the nonlinear differential equation of the skyrmion. The numerical results for the nucleon energy turn out to be finite for all bag radii, differing from the case of the linearized chiral model. With a suitable choice of the bag parameter (volume term), the nucleon mass, radius and the axial vector coupling constant gA come out to be very promising.  相似文献

We consider aSU(3) quark soliton model based on chiral invariant quark-meson coupling. We find soliton solutions with nonzero strangeness andB=1 in the model with nontrivial kaonic fields, for values of the coupling constant greater than the phenomenologically acceptable number.
