In this paper we introduce the sign matrix of a nonlinear system of equations x = Gx to characterize its hybrid and asynchronous monotonicity as well as convexity. Based on the configuration of the matrix, we define a new type of regular splittings of the system with which the solvability and construction of solutions for the system are transformed to those of the couple systems of the splitting formIt is shown that this couple systems is a general model for developing monotonic enclosure methods of solutions for various types of nonlinear system of equations.  相似文献

This article discusses spherical pulse like solutions of the system of semilinear wave equations with the pulses focusing at a point and emerging outgoing in three space variables. In small initial data case, it shows that the nonlinearities have a strong effect at the focal point. Scattering operator is introduced to describe the caustic crossing. This paper studies the existence of positive solutions of the Dirichlet problem for the nonlinear equation involving p-Laplacian operator:-△pu=λf(u) on a bounded smooth domain Ω in Rn. The authors extend part of the Crandall-Rabinowitz bifurcation theory to this problem. Typical examples are checked in detail and multiplicity of the solutions are illustrated. In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of convergent or divergent solutions of two-dimensional nonlinear difference system of the form (?)xn+1=anxn+bnf(yn), yn=cnyn-1+dng(xn). We classify their solutions according to asymptotic behavior and give some sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of solutions of such classes by using the method of the fixed point theorem. The method of the phase plane is emploied to investigate the solitary and periodic travelingwaves for a class of nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations.By using the bifurcationtheory of dynamical systems to do qualitative analysis,all possible phase portraits in theparametric space for the traveling wave systems are obtained.It can be shown that the existenceof a singular straight line in the traveling wave system is the reason why smooth solitary wavesolutions converge to solitary cusp wave solution when parameters are varied.The differentparameter conditions for the existence of solitary and periodic wave solutions of different kindsare rigorously determined.  相似文献
