In this paper we prove the persistence of hyperbolic invariant tori in generalized Hamiltonian systems, which may admit a distinct number of action and angle variables. The systems under consideration can be odd dimensional in tangent direction. Our results generalize the well-known results of Graff and Zehnder in standard Hamiltonians. In our case the unperturbed Hamiltonian systems may be degenerate. We also consider the persistence problem of hyperbolic tori on sub manifolds.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of stochastic wave equations with nonlinear multiplicative noise. We first show that these stochastic wave equations generate random dynamical systems (or stochastic flows) by transforming the stochastic wave equations to random wave equations through a stationary random homeomorphism. Then, we establish the existence of random invariant manifolds for the random wave equations. Due to the temperedness of the nonlinearity, we obtain only local invariant manifolds no matter how large the spectral gap is unlike the deterministic cases. Based on these random dynamical systems, we prove the existence of random invariant manifolds in a tempered neighborhood of an equilibrium. Finally, we show that the images of these invariant manifolds under the inverse stationary transformation give invariant manifolds for the stochastic wave equations.  相似文献

In this paper we study three dimensional homogeneous Finsler manifolds. We first obtain a complete list of the three‐dimensional homogeneous manifolds which admit invariant Finsler metrics. Then we consider invariant Randers metrics and present the classification of three dimensional homogeneous Randers spaces under isometrics.  相似文献

We obtain real analytic invariant manifolds for trajectories of maps assuming only the existence of a nonuniform exponential behavior. We also consider the more general case of sequences of maps, which corresponds to a nonautonomous dynamics with discrete time. We emphasize that the maps that we consider are defined in a real Euclidean space, and thus, one is not able to obtain the invariant manifolds from a corresponding procedure to that in the nonuniform hyperbolicity theory in the context of holomorphic dynamics. We establish the existence both of stable (and unstable) manifolds and of center manifolds. As a byproduct of our approach we obtain an exponential control not only for the trajectories on the invariant manifolds, but also for all their derivatives.  相似文献

We consider periodic perturbations of conservative systems. The unperturbed systems are assumed to have two nonhyperbolic equilibria connected by a heteroclinic orbit on each level set of conservative quantities. These equilibria construct two normally hyperbolic invariant manifolds in the unperturbed phase space, and by invariant manifold theory there exist two normally hyperbolic, locally invariant manifolds in the perturbed phase space. We extend Melnikov’s method to give a condition under which the stable and unstable manifolds of these locally invariant manifolds intersect transversely. Moreover, when the locally invariant manifolds consist of nonhyperbolic periodic orbits, we show that there can exist heteroclinic orbits connecting periodic orbits near the unperturbed equilibria on distinct level sets. This behavior can occur even when the two unperturbed equilibria on each level set coincide and have a homoclinic orbit. In addition, it yields transition motions between neighborhoods of very distant periodic orbits, which are similar to Arnold diffusion for three or more degree of freedom Hamiltonian systems possessing a sequence of heteroclinic orbits to invariant tori, if there exists a sequence of heteroclinic orbits connecting periodic orbits successively. We illustrate our theory for rotational motions of a periodically forced rigid body. Numerical computations to support the theoretical results are also given.  相似文献

In this paper we consider lattice systems coupled by local interactions. We prove invariant manifold theorems for whiskered tori (we recall that whiskered tori are quasi-periodic solutions with exponentially contracting and expanding directions in the linearized system). The invariant manifolds we construct generalize the usual (strong) (un)stable manifolds and allow us to consider also non-resonant manifolds. We show that if the whiskered tori are localized near a collection of specific sites, then so are the invariant manifolds. We recall that the existence of localized whiskered tori has recently been proven for symplectic maps and flows in Fontich et al. (J Diff Equ, 2012), but our results do not need that the systems are symplectic. For simplicity we will present first the main results for maps, but we will show that the result for maps imply the results for flows. It is also true that the results for flows can be proved directly following the same ideas.  相似文献

We consider an autonomous dynamical system discretized by a one-step method. The point z = 0 is assumed to be fixed under the continuous and the discrete flows. We allow z = 0 to be non-hyperbolic. The continuous system has a center-unstable manifold and we show the existence of approximating invariant manifolds for the discretizations. The manifolds for the continuous and the discrete systems share the property of being locally attracting at an exponential rate; the dynamics inside the manifolds can differ qualitatively, however, for all step-sizes h.  相似文献

In this paper we consider transitive actions of Lie groups on analytic manifolds. We study three cases of analytic manifolds and their corresponding transformation groups. Given a free action on the left, we define left orbit spaces and consider actions on the right by maximal compact subgroups. We show that these actions are transitive and find the corresponding isotropy subgroups. Further, we show that the left orbit spaces are reductive homogeneous spaces. This article thus forms the basis of a forthcoming paper on invariant differential operators on homogeneous manifolds. Partially supported by a Carver Research Initiative Grant.  相似文献

We study harmonic metrics with respect to the class of invariant metrics on non-reductive homogeneous four dimensional manifolds. In particular, we consider harmonic lifted metrics with respect to the Sasaki lifts, horizontal lifts and complete lifts of the metrics under study.  相似文献

We consider weakly coupled map lattices with a decaying interaction. That is, we consider systems which consist of a phase space at every site such that the dynamics at a site is little affected by the dynamics at far away sites. We develop a functional analysis framework which formulates quantitatively the decay of the interaction and is able to deal with lattices such that the sites are manifolds. This framework is very well suited to study systematically invariant objects. One obtains that the invariant objects are essentially local. We use this framework to prove a stable manifold theorem and show that the manifolds are as smooth as the maps and have decay properties (i.e. the derivatives of one of the coordinates of the manifold with respect to the coordinates at far away sites are small). Other applications of the framework are the study of the structural stability of maps with decay close to uncoupled possessing hyperbolic sets and the decay properties of the invariant manifolds of their hyperbolic sets, in the companion paper by Fontich et al. (2011) [10].  相似文献

We establish the existence of invariant stable manifolds for C 1 perturbations of a nonuniform exponential dichotomy with an arbitrary nonuniform part. We consider the general case of sequences of maps, which corresponds to a nonautonomous dynamics with discrete time. We also obtain optimal estimates for the decay of trajectories along the stable manifolds. The optimal C 1 smoothness of the invariant manifolds is obtained using an invariant family of cones.  相似文献

We consider an abstract system of coupled nonlinear parabolic-hyperbolic partial differential equations. This system describes, e.g., thermoelastic phenomena in various physical bodies. Several results on the existence of invariant exponentially attracting manifolds for similar problems were obtained earlier. In the present paper, we prove the existence of such an invariant manifold under less restrictive conditions for a broader class of problems. We consider two possible definitions generalizing the notion of Calabi-Yau manifolds, and we describe some examples of these structures. Moreover, we prove a classification theorem for four and six complex dimensional nilmanifolds admitting an invariant generalized Calabi-Yau structure.  相似文献

We prove a persistence result for noncompact normally hyperbolic invariant manifolds in Riemannian manifolds of bounded geometry. The bounded geometry of the ambient manifold is a crucial assumption in order to control the uniformity of all estimates throughout the proof.  相似文献

In this paper, we study variational aspects for harmonic maps from M to several types of flag manifolds and the relationship with the rich Hermitian geometry of these manifolds. We consider maps that are harmonic with respect to any invariant metric on each flag manifold. They are called equiharmonic maps. We survey some recent results for the case where M is a Riemann surface or is one dimensional; i.e., we study equigeodesics on several types of flag manifolds. We also discuss some results concerning Einstein metrics on such manifolds.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the persistence of invariant tori of an integrable Hamiltonian system with a quasiperiodic perturbation. It is proved that if the unperturbed system satisfies the Rtissmann non-degenerate condition and the perturbed system satisfies the co-linked non-resonant condition, then the majority of invariant tori is persistent under the perturbation.  相似文献

We consider Ricci flow of complete Riemannian manifolds which have bounded non-negative curvature operator, non-zero asymptotic volume ratio and no boundary. We prove scale invariant estimates for these solutions. Using these estimates, we show that there is a limit solution, obtained by scaling down this solution at a fixed point in space. This limit solution is an expanding soliton coming out of the asymptotic cone at infinity.  相似文献

We consider hyperbolic and partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on compact manifolds. Associated with invariant foliation of these systems, we define some topological invariants and show certain relationships between these topological invariants and the geometric and Lyapunov growths of these foliations. As an application, we show examples of systems with persistent non-absolute continuous center and weak unstable foliations. This generalizes the remarkable results of Shub and Wilkinson to cases where the center manifolds are not compact.  相似文献
