In this paper, we give a sharp lower bound for the first (nonzero) Neumann eigenvalue of Finsler-Laplacian in Finsler manifolds in terms of diameter, dimension, weighted Ricci curvature.  相似文献

Let(M, θ) be a compact strictly pseudoconvex pseudohermitian manifold which is CR embedded into a complex space. In an earlier paper, Lin and the authors gave several sharp upper bounds for the first positive eigenvalue λ_1 of the Kohn-Laplacian □_b on(M, θ). In the present paper, we give a sharp upper bound for λ_1, generalizing and extending some previous results. As a corollary, we obtain a Reilly-type estimate when M is embedded into the standard sphere. In another direction, using a Lichnerowicz-type estimate by Chanillo, Chiu, and Yang and an explicit formula for the Webster scalar curvature, we give a lower bound for λ_1 when the pseudohermitian structure θ is volume-normalized.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that several different definitions of the Finsler-Laplacian are equivalent. Then we prove that any Berwald metric is affinely equivalent to its mean metric and give some upper or lower bound estimates for the first eigenvalue of the mean Laplacian on Berwald manifolds, which generalize some results in Riemannian geometry.  相似文献

Let D be the Dirac operator on a compact spin manifold M. Assume that 0 is in the spectrum of D. We prove the existence of a lower bound on the first positive eigenvalue of D depending only on the spin structure and the conformal type.  相似文献

New lower bounds of the first nonzero eigenvalue of the weighted p-Laplacian are established on compact smooth metric measure spaces with or without boundaries. Under the assumption of positive lower bound for the m-Bakry–Émery Ricci curvature, the Escobar–Lichnerowicz–Reilly type estimates are proved; under the assumption of nonnegative ∞-Bakry–Émery Ricci curvature and the m-Bakry–Émery Ricci curvature bounded from below by a non-positive constant, the Li–Yau type lower bound estimates are given. The weighted p-Bochner formula and the weighted p-Reilly formula are derived as the key tools for the establishment of the above results.  相似文献

Let (Mn+1,g)(Mn+1,g) be a compact Riemannian manifold with smooth boundary B and nonnegative Bakry–Emery Ricci curvature. In this paper, we use the solvability of some elliptic equations to prove some estimates of the weighted mean curvature and some related rigidity theorems. As their applications, we obtain some lower bound estimate of the first nonzero eigenvalue of the drifting Laplacian acting on functions on B and some corresponding rigidity theorems.  相似文献

Recently Candel [A. Candel, Eigenvalue estimates for minimal surfaces in hyperbolic space, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 359 (2007) 3567-3575] proved that if M is a simply-connected stable minimal surface isometrically immersed in H3, then the first eigenvalue of M satisfies 1/4?λ(M)?4/3 and he asked whether the bound is sharp and gave an example such that the lower bound is attained. In this note, we prove that the upper bound can never be attained. Also we extend the result by proving that if M is compact stable minimal hypersurface isometrically immersed in Hn+1 where n?3 such that its smooth Yamabe invariant is negative, then (n−1)/4?λ(M)?n2(n−2)/(7n−6).  相似文献

In this paper, we study the eigenvalue of p-Laplacian on finite graphs. Under generalized curvature dimensional condition, we obtain a lower bound of the first nonzero eigenvalue of p-Laplacian. Moreover, a upper bound of the largest p-Laplacian eigenvalue is derived.  相似文献

We prove an upper bound for the spectral radius of the Hadamard product of nonnegative matrices and a lower bound for the minimum eigenvalue of the Fan product of M-matrices. These improve two existing results.  相似文献

Let M be an n-dimensional closed manifold with metric g, dμ = e h(x) dV(x) be the weighted measure and ? μ, p be the weighted p-Laplacian. In this article, we get the lower bound estimate of the first nonzero eigenvalue for the weighted p-Laplacian when the m-dimensional Bakry-émery curvature has a positive lower bound.  相似文献

We consider the eigenvalue problem for Hodge-Laplacian on a Riemannian manifold M isometrically immersed into another Riemannian manifold M¯. We first assume the pull back Weitzenböck operator of M¯ bounded from below, and obtain an extrinsic lower bound for the first eigenvalue of Hodge-Laplacian. As applications, we obtain some rigidity results. Second, when the pull back Weitzenböck operator of M¯ bounded from both sides, we give a lower bound of the first eigenvalue by the Ricci curvature of M and some extrinsic geometry. As a consequence, we prove a weak Ejiri type theorem, that is, if the Ricci curvature bounded from below pointwisely by a function of the norm square of the mean curvature vector, then M is a homology sphere. In the end, we give an example to show that all the eigenvalue estimates are optimal when M¯ is the space form.  相似文献

Consider the class of n-dimensional Riemannian spin manifolds with bounded sectional curvatures and bounded diameter, and almost non-negative scalar curvature. Let r = 1 if n = 2,3 and r = 2[n/2]-1 + 1 if n ≥ 4. We show that if the square of the Dirac operator on such a manifold has r small eigenvalues, then the manifold is diffeomorphic to a nilmanifold and has trivial spin structure. Equivalently, if M is not a nilmanifold or if M is a nilmanifold with a non-trivial spin structure, then there exists a uniform lower bound on the r-th eigenvalue of the square of the Dirac operator. If a manifold with almost non-negative scalar curvature has one small Dirac eigenvalue, and if the volume is not too small, then we show that the metric is close to a Ricci-flat metric on M with a parallel spinor. In dimension 4 this implies that M is either a torus or a K3-surface.   相似文献

This paper proves that the first eigenfunctions of the Finsler p-Lapalcian are C~(1,α). Using a gradient comparison theorem and one-dimensional model, we obtain the sharp lower bound of the first Neumann and closed eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian on a compact Finsler manifold with nonnegative weighted Ricci curvature,on which a lower bound of the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian is also obtained.  相似文献

Let M be a complete Riemannian manifold with Riemannian volume vol g and f be a smooth function on M. A sharp upper bound estimate on the first eigenvalue of symmetric diffusion operator ${\Delta_f = \Delta- \nabla f \cdot \nabla}$ was given by Wu (J Math Anal Appl 361:10?C18, 2010) and Wang (Ann Glob Anal Geom 37:393?C402, 2010) under a condition that finite dimensional Bakry?Cémery Ricci curvature is bounded below, independently. They propounded an open problem is whether there is some rigidity on the estimate. In this note, we will solve this problem to obtain a splitting type theorem, which generalizes Li?CWang??s result in Wang (J Differ Geom 58:501?C534, 2001, J Differ Geom 62:143?C162, 2002). For the case that infinite dimensional Bakry?CEmery Ricci curvature of M is bounded below, we do not expect any upper bound estimate on the first eigenvalue of ?? f without any additional assumption (see the example in Sect. 2). In this case, we will give a sharp upper bound estimate on the first eigenvalue of ?? f under the additional assuption that ${|\nabla f|}$ is bounded. We also obtain the rigidity result on this estimate, as another Li?CWang type splitting theorem.  相似文献

Some new bounds on the spectral radius of matrices   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
A new lower bound on the smallest eigenvalue τ(AB) for the Fan product of two nonsingular M-matrices A and B is given. Meanwhile, we also obtain a new upper bound on the spectral radius ρ(A°B) for nonnegative matrices A and B. These bounds improve some results of Huang (2008) [R. Huang, Some inequalities for the Hadamard product and the Fan product of matrices, Linear Algebra Appl. 428 (2008) 1551-1559].  相似文献

Let M be a compact submanifold with boundary of a Euclidean space or a Sphere. In this paper, we derive an upper bound for the first non-zero eigenvalue p1 of Steklov problem on M in terms of the r-th mean curvatures of its boundary ∂M. The upper bound obtained is sharp.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the first eigenvalue of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator acting on differential forms of a Riemannian manifold with boundary isometrically immersed in some Euclidean space. We give a lower bound of the integral energy of p-forms in terms of its first eigenvalue associated with (p?1)-forms. We also find a lower bound for the gap between two consecutive first eigenvalues in terms of the curvature of the boundary.  相似文献

We consider \(\lambda \) is the principle eigenvalue of the complex Laplacian on a compact Hermitian manifold M. We prove that \(\lambda \ge C\) where C depends only on the dimension n, the diameter d, the Ricci curvature of the Levi-Civita connection on M, and a norm, expressed in curvature, that determines how much M fails to be Kähler. We first estimate the principal eigenvalue of a drift Laplacian and then study the structure of Hermitian manifolds using recent results due to Yang and Zheng (on curvature tensors of Hermitian manifolds, 2016. arXiv:1602.01189). We combine these results to obtain the main estimate. We also discuss several special cases in which one can obtain a lower bound solely in terms of the Riemannian geometry.  相似文献

In this paper, we first prove the CR analogue of M. Obata’s theorem on a closed pseudohermitian (2n+1)-manifold with free pseudohermitian torsion. Secondly, we have the CR analogue of Li-Yau’s eigenvalue estimate on the lower bound estimate of positive first eigenvalue of the sub-Laplacian on a closed pseudohermitian (2n+1)-manifold with a more general curvature condition for n≥2. The key step is a discovery of CR analogue of Bochner formula which involving the CR Paneitz operator and nonnegativity of CR Paneitz operator P 0 for n≥2. For a distance-regular graph with second largest eigenvalue (resp., smallest eigenvalue) θ1 (resp., θD) we show that (θ1+1)(θD+1)?-b1 holds, where equality only holds when the diameter equals two. Using this inequality we study distance-regular graphs with fixed second largest eigenvalue.  相似文献
