Out of plane measurements of the angular correlations for the 12C(e, e(')n) reaction have been performed for the first time in the giant resonance region. The cross sections were directly separated into the longitudinal and transverse, longitudinal-transverse, and transverse-transverse components. The cross section at the peak of the giant resonance ( omega = 22.5 MeV) has been found to be almost all longitudinal. It was reproduced by the multipole expansion with E0 and E2 components besides E1. The longitudinal-transverse component might have a maximum around 24 MeV. The transverse-transverse component is very small over the giant resonance.  相似文献

We have measured the 3He(e,e' pp)n reaction at an incident energy of 4.7 GeV over a wide kinematic range. We identified spectator correlated pp and pn nucleon pairs by using kinematic cuts and measured their relative and total momentum distributions. This is the first measurement of the ratio of pp to pn pairs as a function of pair total momentum p(tot). For pair relative momenta between 0.3 and 0.5 GeV/c, the ratio is very small at low p(tot) and rises to approximately 0.5 at large p(tot). This shows the dominance of tensor over central correlations at this relative momentum.  相似文献

The information content of one-arm (e, p) cross sections and the connection with coincidence (e, e′ p) cross sections is discussed. Results for the12 C(e,p) cross section based on continuum shell model wavefunctions are given.  相似文献

The measurement of the polarisation transfer to the proton in the reactions $H(\vec e,e'\vec p)$ and $D(\vec e,e'\vec p)$ performed with longitudinally polarised electrons in quasi-free kinematics is presented. The coincidence measurement was executed atQ 2≈8fm ?2 using the 855 MeV, c.w. beam of the Mainz Microtron MAMI. The recoil polarisation was determined by means of a carbon analyser. The experiment shows that the binding of the nucleon does not modify the polarisationP x of the recoil proton within an error ofΔ P x/Px≈10%. The measured polarisation agrees with recent theoretical predictions. Implications for the measurement of the electric form factor of the neutron using the $D(\vec e,e'\vec n)$ reaction are discussed.  相似文献

Angular distributions of 12C(alpha,alpha)12C have been measured for E(alpha) = 2.6-8.2 MeV, at angles from 24 to 166, yielding 12 864 data points. R-matrix analysis of the ratios of elastic scattering yields a reduced width amplitude of gamma12 = 0.47 +/- 0.06 MeV(1/2) for the Ex = 6.917 MeV (2+) state in 16O(a = 5.5 fm). The dependence of the chi2 surface on the interaction radius a has been investigated and a deep minimum is found at a = 5.42(+0.16)(-0.27) fm. Using this value of gamma12, radiative alpha capture and 16N beta-delayed alpha-decay data, the S factor is calculated at E(c.m.) = 300 keV to be S(E2)(300) = 53(+13)(-18) keV b for destructive interference between the subthreshold resonance tail and the ground state E2 direct capture.  相似文献

New results from a series of experiments dedicated to the study of the 12C exotic state (the so-called Hoyle state) are presented. In spite of the many investigations that have been carried out, the structure of this state (which lies above the threshold for breaking up into three alpha particles) is still unknown. The different models assume that the nucleus has an abnormally large size in this excited state. However, until recently, methods for measuring the radii of unbound states have not been suggested. The best way to solve this problem seems to be by measuring the angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering of 12C on different target nuclei, and the determination of the radii is based on the fact that, at small scattering angles, the cross sections for direct reactions at high enough energies behave like Frauenhofer diffraction on a black ball. Accordingly, an experiment was performed aimed at measuring the elastic and inelastic angular distributions of 12C with an energy of (121.5 ± 0.5) MeV on a 12C target. The elastic scattering was measured in the angular range from 18° to 50° in the c.m. system with uncertainty in the angle of measurement equal to Δθ = ± 0.6°. The inelastic cross section was measured for the 12C excited state 2+ (4.44 MeV) and 0+ (7.65 MeV). Estimates were made for the diffraction radii for the ground and excited states. An increase was observed in the radius of the state at 7.65 MeV compared to those of the ground and first excited states.  相似文献

We investigated simultaneously the 12C(e,e'p) and 12C(e,e'pp) reactions at Q2=2 (GeV/c)2, xB=1.2, and in an (e, e'p) missing-momentum range from 300 to 600 MeV/c. At these kinematics, with a missing momentum greater than the Fermi momentum of nucleons in a nucleus and far from the delta excitation, short-range nucleon-nucleon correlations are predicted to dominate the reaction. For (9.5+/-2)% of the 12C(e,e'p) events, a recoiling partner proton was observed back-to-back to the 12C(e,e'p) missing-momentum vector, an experimental signature of correlations.  相似文献

A measurement of the residues from the 12C + 7Li reaction has been obtained for 7Li energies from 10 to 38 MeV. From these measurements the fusion cross sections and critical angular momenta for the 12C + 7Li system have been deduced. Cross sections for the 7Li(12C, t)16O reaction have been obtained for 12C energies from 54 to 62 MeV at θlab = 2.7°. The critical angular momenta obtained from the fusion cross sections have been used to perform Hauser-Feshbach calculations for the 12C(7Li, t)16O reaction. These calculations have been compared to measured angular distributions over a wide energy range. By comparing the fusion cross sections required by the Hauser-Feshbach calculations to fit the 12C(7Li, t)16O(8.87 MeV) reaction and the measured residue cross section it is estimated that at least 80 % of the measured residues are fusion products. The calculations also indicate that direct processes dominate the population of many 16O levels at forward angles and the 10.35 MeV state at backward angles. The necessity for using a critical angular momentum in Hauser-Feshbach calculations is discussed.  相似文献

The angular distributions of gamma rays from the 12C(alpha,gamma)16O reaction have been measured at 20 energy points in the energy range E(cm) = 0.95 to 2.8 MeV. The sensitivity of the present experiment compared to previous direct investigations was raised by 1-2 orders of magnitude, by using an array of highly efficient ( 100%) Ge detectors shielded actively with BGOs, as well as high beam currents of up to 500 microA that were provided by the Stuttgart Dynamitron accelerator. The S(E1) and S(E2) factors deduced from the gamma angular distributions have been extrapolated to the range of helium burning temperatures applying the R-matrix method, which yielded S(300)(E1) = (76+/-20) keV b and S(300)(E2) = (85+/-30) keV b.  相似文献

Inclusive inelastic electron scattering off the deuteron under 180 degrees has been studied at the S-DALINAC close to the breakup threshold at momentum transfers q=0.27 fm;{-1} and 0.74 fm;{-1} with good energy resolution sufficient to map in detail the spin flip M1 response, which governs the starting reaction pn-->dgamma of big-bang nucleosynthesis over most of the relevant temperature region. Results from potential model calculations and (for q=0.27 fm;{-1}) from pionless nuclear effective field theory are in excellent agreement with the data.  相似文献
