In this paper we prove that if U is an open subset of a metrizable locally convex space E of infinite dimension, the space H(U) of all holomorphic functions on U, endowed with the Nachbin-Coeuré topology τδ, is not metrizable. Our result can be applied to get that, for all usual topologies, H(U) is metrizable if and only if E has finite dimension.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the linear structure of the family H e (G) of holomorphic functions on a domain G of the complex plane that are not analytically continuable beyond the boundary of G. We prove that H e (G) contains, except for zero, a dense algebra; and, under appropriate conditions, the subfamily of H e (G) consisting of boundary-regular functions contains dense vector spaces with maximal dimension as well as infinite dimensional closed vector spaces and large algebras. We also consider the case in which G is a domain of existence in a complex Banach space. The results obtained complete or extend a number of previous results by several authors.  相似文献

We continue the study of a generalization of L. de Branges's theory of Hilbert spaces of entire functions to the Pontryagin space setting. In this-second-part we investigate isometric embeddings of spaces of entire functions into spacesL 2 () understood in a distributional sense and consider Weyl coefficients of matrix chains. The main task is to give a proof of an indefinite version of the inverse spectral theorem for Nevanlinna functions. Our methods use the theory developed by L. de Branges and the theory of extensions of symmetric operators of M.G.Krein.  相似文献

We give a generalization of L.de Branges theory of Hilbert spaces of entire functions to the Pontryagin space setting. The aim of this-first-part is to provide some basic results and to investigate subspaces of Pontryagin spaces of entire functions. Our method makes strong use of L.de Branges's results and of the extension theory of symmetric operators as developed by M.G.Krein.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of numerical (strong) peak function and investigate the denseness of the norm and numerical peak functions on complex Banach spaces. Let Ab(BX:X) be the Banach space of all bounded continuous functions f on the unit ball BX of a Banach space X and their restrictions to the open unit ball are holomorphic. In finite dimensional spaces, we show that the intersection of the set of all norm peak functions and the set of all numerical peak functions is a dense Gδ-subset of Ab(BX:X). We also prove that if X is a smooth Banach space with the Radon-Nikodým property, then the set of all numerical strong peak functions is dense in Ab(BX:X). In particular, when X=Lp(μ)(1<p<∞) or X=?1, it is shown that the intersection of the set of all norm strong peak functions and the set of all numerical strong peak functions is a dense Gδ-subset of Ab(BX:X). As an application, the existence and properties of numerical boundary of Ab(BX:X) are studied. Finally, the numerical peak function in Ab(BX:X) is characterized when X=C(K) and some negative results on the denseness of numerical (strong) peak holomorphic functions are given.  相似文献

We establish and investigate a connection between hermitian indefinite continuous functions with finitely many negative squares defined on a finite interval and so-called de Branges spaces of entire functions. This enables us to relate to any hermitian indefinite continuous function on the real axis a certain chain of 2×2-matrix valued entire functions, which are in the positive definite case tightly connected with canonical systems of differential equations.  相似文献

In [6] the notion of Hilbert-Stein complex spaces was introduced. The purpose of this note is to illustrate the conjecture that any Stein space whose points can be separated by bounded holomorphic functions, is Hilbert-Stein. We prove this fact for the following kinds of bounded domains of holomorphyD in C n : 1)n=1 and 1(D) is finitely generated, 2) the group of automorphisms ofD in the compactopen topology is compact, 3)D is strongly pseudoconvex with smooth boundary andn2, 4)D is symmetric of type I.  相似文献

A generalization of the Taylor expansions of entire functions with variable center is used to illustrate the notion of conjugate interpolation problem. The radii of existence, uniqueness, and convergence for such problems are found. A relationship between the interpolation functional systems of two mutually conjugate problems is revealed. In this paper we construct a large class of multiplication operators on reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces which are homogeneous with respect to the action of the Möbius group consisting of bi-holomorphic automorphisms of the unit disc D. Indeed, this class consists of exactly those operators for which the associated unitary representation of the universal covering group of the Möbius group is multiplicity free. For every mN we have a family of operators depending on m+1 positive real parameters. The kernel function is calculated explicitly. It is proved that each of these operators is bounded, lies in the Cowen-Douglas class of D and is irreducible. These operators are shown to be mutually pairwise unitarily inequivalent.  相似文献

In contrast to the famous Henkin-Skoda theorem concerning the zero varieties of holomorphic functions in the Nevanlinna class on the open unit ball Bn in , n?2, it is proved in this article that for any nonnegative, increasing, convex function ?(t) defined on , there exists satisfying such that there is no fHp(Bn), 0<p<∞, with . Here Ng(ζ,1) denotes the integrated zero counting function associated with the slice function gζ. This means that the zero sets of holomorphic functions belonging to the Hardy spaces Hp(Bn), 0<p<∞, unlike that of the holomorphic functions in the Nevanlinna class, cannot be characterized in the above manner.  相似文献

We show that nontrivial convolution operators on certain spaces of entire functions on E are frequently hypercyclic when E is a normed space and when E is the strong dual of a Fréchet nuclear space. We also obtain results of existence and approximation for convolution equations on certain spaces of entire functions on arbitrary locally convex spaces.  相似文献
