The bismuth film is a great promise as a suitable material to replace the mercury electrodes due to its low toxicity and good cathodic potential range. This work studies the influence of the electrodeposition conditions in the morphology and electroanalytical performance of the bismuth film electrodeposited onto copper electrode. The bismuth films were obtained in nitric or hydrochloric acid solutions with and without the presence of sodium citrate. The films were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM) and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X‐ray spectrometry (SEM‐EDX). The microscopic analysis of the bismuth film obtained in HCl solution with sodium citrate (BIFE‐Cit) showed more homogeneous structure with higher content of bismuth than the film obtained in HCl only (BiFE‐HCl). The BiFE‐Cit exhibited a better analytical performance for lead with good adherence to the copper substrate.  相似文献

The bismuth‐coated electrode is known to be prone to errors caused by copper(II). This study investigates copper(II) interference at bismuth film electrode for the detection of lead(II) and cadmium(II). It was conducted using glassy carbon electrode, while the bismuth film was plated in situ simultaneously with the target metal ions at ? 1200 mV. Copper(II) presented in solution significantly reduced the sensitivity of the electrode, for example there was an approximately 70 % and 90 % decrease in peak signals for lead(II) and cadmium(II), respectively, at a 10‐fold molar excess of copper(II). The decrease in sensitivity was ascribed to the competition between copper and bismuth or the metal ions for surface active sites. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X‐ray (EDX) analysis suggested a large decrease in the amount of bismuth nanoparticles formed on the electrode surface in the presence of copper(II) occurred, validating the competition between copper and bismuth ions for surface active sites. Recovery of the stripping signal of lead(II) and cadmium(II) was obtained by adding ferrocyanide ion to the solution. Finally, the proposed method was successfully applied to determine lead(II) and cadmium(II) in water samples and the method was validated by ICP‐MS technique.  相似文献

The differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry of copper and lead at the mercury film glassy carbon electrode is discussed. The mercury film prevents the occurrence of a monolayer stripping peak for copper. The influence of antimony and bismuth on the anodic stripping voltammetric behaviour of copper and lead is discussed. An interaction between copper and antimony distorts the copper stripping peak and gives rise to an intermediate peak. The method described is suitable for determining copper and lead simultaneously in EDTA extracts of soils.  相似文献

As copper(II) is a common ion in a variety of analytical samples, its effect on the stripping response of lead(II) at bismuth film screen-printed carbon electrode (BFSPCE) was investigated. The study was conducted using a screen-printed three-electrode system (working, counter and reference electrodes), with the carbon-working electrode plated in situ with bismuth film. Copper present at significant concentration level in samples was found to affect the sensitivity of the electrode by reducing the constant current stripping chronopotentiometric (CCSCP) response of lead(II). Recovery of the lead stripping response at the BFSPCE in the presence of copper was obtained when 0.1 mM ferricyanide was added to the test solution. The ferricyanide added circumvents the detrimental effect of copper(II) by selectively masking the copper ions by forming a complex. The analytical utility of the procedure is illustrated by the stripping chronopotentiometric determinations of lead(II) in soil extracts.  相似文献

基于原子荧光光谱法测定铋元素时检出限低、测定结果稳定且准确等优点,研究原子荧光光谱法测定铜合金中铋元素含量的方法。在标准系列中加入相近浓度的铜元素标准溶液,原子荧光光谱法测定铜合金中铋元素含量。称取0.1 g样品,加入10 mL硝酸溶解,10%硫脲-5%抗坏血酸溶液7.5 mL预处理样品。在20μg/L的铋标准溶液中加入6 mL浓度为1000μg/mL的铜元素标准溶液。结果表明:在0~20μg/L范围内,该方法线性关系良好,线性方程为I=138.1670c+43.8572,相关系数为0.9996,所测定的样品中铋元素含量的相对误差在-4.3%~7.7%之间,精密度在0.4%~4.7%之间。原子荧光光谱法可作为铜合金中铋元素含量测定的方法。  相似文献

A differential pulse polarographic method is proposed for the trace determination of bismuth and copper from large volumes of aqueous samples after adsorption of their 1-(2-thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol complexes onto microcrystalline naphthalene in the pH ranges of 7.2-9.0 and 4.0-7.8, respectively. Bismuth and copper are desorbed from microcrystalline naphthalene with 9 mL 1M HCl. Well-defined peaks are obtained at Ep = -0.09 and -0.20 V versus a saturated calomel electrode, in an HCl-isoquinoline medium as the supporting electrolyte, for bismuth and copper, respectively. Bismuth is reduced reversibly with a 3-electron change, whereas copper is reduced irreversibly under these conditions. The detection limits are 55 ng/mL for bismuth and 91 ng/mL for copper. Linearity is maintained in the concentration ranges of 0.18-13.5 and 0.30-17.3 microg/mL for bismuth and copper, respectively, with corresponding correlation coefficients of 0.9996 and 0.9885. The relative standard deviations are 1.0% for bismuth at 2.0 microg/mL and 1.4% for copper at 5.0 microg/mL. Various parameters were optimized to develop conditions for the determination of these metal ions in various samples.  相似文献

Conditions have been found which make possible the determination of copper in the presence of a large excess of bismuth by differential-pulse and anodic-stripping voltammetry without preliminary separation. The electrochemical activity of the bismuth, which usually interferes in the determination of copper, is inhibited by using tetrabutylammonium chloride (TBAC) as surfactant. In 0.2M EDTA and 0.01M ascorbic acid at pH 4.5 as supporting electrolyte without the surfactant present, trace levels of copper (1.5 x 10(-8)M) can be determined accurately if the molar ratio of bismuth to copper is not higher than 3, but if the electrolyte also contains TBAC at 0.01M concentration, bismuth can be tolerated in concentrations up to 10(-4)M, and the height of the copper peak is unaffected.  相似文献

Cells have been designed for stripping-voltammetry analyses employing graphite working electrodes and mercury film electrodes on a graphite support, permitting ion-exchange or solvent extraction separation simultaneously with the pre-electrolysis. The ion-exchange separation was tested on the determination of mercury in the presence of excess of copper(II), lead and cadmium and on the determination of bismuth in the presence of excess of copper(II). The solvent extraction separation was tested on the determination of mercury(II) in the presence of copper(II), lead and cadmium and the determination of copper(II) in the presence of bismuth. Very good results were obtained by using ion-exchange, where the sensitivity and precision of the determination are comparable with those obtained in the determinations without separation, the separation efficiency being very high, limited virtually only by the capacity of the ion-exchanger used. The solvent extraction separations yielded poorer results: the sensitivity of the determination is decreased substantially, the separation efficiency is not very high and difficulties arise from the adsorption of the organic phase on the electrode surface.  相似文献

A sensitive anodic stripping voltammetric procedure at the bismuth film electrode (BFE) for trace analysis of copper (II) in the presence of gallium is presented. The new protocol circumvents the problems of overlapping stripping signals between copper and bismuth that previously hampered the analysis of copper at the BFE. The results illustrate that the addition of gallium not only improves the reproducibility of the bismuth stripping signal but also facilitates much improved resolution between the stripping signals of bismuth and copper. Investigations into the effect of gallium on the stripping response of copper and bismuth were studied showing a 4:1 gallium:copper mole ratio produces optimum signals from bismuth and copper indicating a possible stoichiometric relationship. Optimisation of other key variables including electrolyte composition, accumulation parameters and appropriate waveform settings were studied and optimised. The optimised procedures show a range of linear calibration plots (R2 > 0.994) ranging from 2 to 500 μg L−1 and the relative standard deviation for a solution containing 100 μg L−1 copper was 3.7% (n = 10). Utilising an accumulation time of 300 s the limit of detection was 1.4 μg L−1 (S/N = 3). This technique was successfully applied to the analysis of copper in tap water representing the first successful copper determination in real samples using the BFE.  相似文献

An improved spectrophotometric method is proposed for the determination with iodide of trace amounts of bismuth in copper and cartridge brass. The sample is dissolved in nitric acid and the bismuth is separated from the copper by an ammoniacal precipitation in the presence of iron(III) hydroxide as a gathering agent. The hydroxide precipitate is dissolved in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid is added, the solution is evaporated to a few ml, hydrobromic acid is added to volatilize the antimony and tin, and the solution is evaporated to fumes of sulfuric acid. The bismuth iodide color is then developed with a composite potassium iodide—sodium hypophosphite reagent. Factors affecting the bismuth iodide color are investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents the enhanced analysis of copper on a bismuth electrode upon addition of gallium(III). The presence of gallium alleviates the problems of overlapping stripping signals usually observed between copper and bismuth when using the Bismuth Film Electrode. In addition, it has been found that the presence of gallium improves the reproducibility of the bismuth stripping signal. Simultaneous deposition of copper and bismuth at ?1500 mV for 2 minutes in a supporting electrolyte composed of 0.1 M pH 4.75 acetate buffer with 250 μg L?1 gallium yields well resolved copper and bismuth signals when analyzed with square‐wave anodic stripping voltammetry. Simultaneous analysis of copper and lead yielded linear calibration plots in the range 10 to 100 μg L?1 with regression coefficients of 0.997 and 0.994 respectively. The theoretical detection limit for copper was calculated to be 4.98 μg L?1 utilizing a 2 minutes deposition time. The relative standard deviation for a copper concentration of 50 μg L?1 was 1.6% (n=10).  相似文献

The development and use of 'green' electrode materials is extremely attractive for the routine use of disposable metal sensors. Bismuth is an environmentally-friendly element and a bismuth film electrode was proposed as an alternative to mercury film electrodes. Compared with bismuth, stannum is a more 'environmentally friendly' material. The stannum-bismuth composite film electrode prepared by the in situ electrodeposition of stannum and bismuth on the glassy carbon substrate is reported for the first time. Compared with bismuth film and stannum film electrodes, the stannum-bismuth composite film electrode revealed better electroanalytical performance, and can be used as a possible alternative electrode for electrochemical stripping analysis of trace heavy metals.  相似文献

建立了掺杂硒碳糊电极同时测定铜和铋的微分电位溶出法。在HCl(0.05mol/L)中,在-0.3V(vs.Ag/AgCl)下,Cu2+和Bi3+电沉积在电极表面,再在溶液中溶解氧的作用下,铜和铋从电极表面溶出,分别于0.30V和0.02V获得灵敏的电位溶出峰。微分电位溶出峰高(dt/dE)与铜和铋的浓度成线性关系,线性范围为5.0×10-9~1.55×10-7mol/L,检出限分别为4.0×10-9和2.5×10-9mol/L(S/N=3)。方法用于实际样品中铜和铋的测定,结果令人满意。  相似文献

A novel, sensitive and selective adsorptive stripping procedure for simultaneous determination of copper, bismuth and lead is presented. The method is based on the adsorptive accumulation of thymolphthalexone (TPN) complexes of these elements onto a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by reduction of adsorbed species by voltammetric scan using differential pulse modulation. The influences of control variables on the sensitivity of the proposed method for the simultaneous determination of copper, lead and bismuth were studied using the Derringer desirability function. The optimum analytical conditions were found to be TPN concentration of 4.0 microM, pH of 9.0, and accumulation potential at -800 mV vs. Ag/AgCl with an accumulation time of 80 s. The peak currents are proportional to the concentration of copper, bismuth and lead over the 0.4-300, 1-200 and 1-100 ng mL(-1) ranges with detection limits of 0.4, 0.8 and 0.7 ng mL(-1), respectively. The procedure was applied to the simultaneous determination of copper, bismuth and lead in the tap water and some synthetic samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The possibility of applying diethylammonium diethyldithiocarbamate and butyl acetate for the extraction of copper, cadmium, lead and bismuth from molar solutions of orthophosphoric acid, and from solutions containing up to 55% pyrophosphoric acid and 20% tripolyphosphoric acid has been investigated. Some characteristics of the various diethylammonium diethyldithiocarbamate-butyl acetate-phosphoric acid systems are described. Suitable conditions have been found for flame atomic-absorption spectrometric determination of the ions extracted. This extraction/AAS approach has been used to determine copper, cadmium, lead and bismuth in some iron-, aluminium- and tin-containing samples dissolved in concentrated orthophosphoric acid. The same approach is used for determining 10(-5)-10(-6)% copper, cadmium and lead in orthophosphoric acid and in alkali-metal mono and dihydrogen phosphates.  相似文献

在玻碳电极上采用电化学沉积法制备了新型铕离子掺杂普鲁士蓝复合铋膜电极,建立了用示差脉冲阳极溶出法测定环境水样中痕量铟的分析方法。讨论了铟在常规铋膜电极和复合铋膜电极上的溶出性能,对铋膜的厚度、支持电解质、测定底液的pH、富集时间和富集电位等参数进行了优化。在最佳实验条件下,铟的阳极溶出峰电流与其浓度在2~20μg/L和20~100μg/L范围内分别呈良好的线性关系,检测下限为0.15μg/L(S/N=3),相对标准偏差RSD2.0%。该法用于实际水样中痕量铟的测定,样品回收率为97.5%~103%。  相似文献

A bismuth‐film electrode (BiFE) ex situ electrochemically deposited onto a copper substrate has been presented for paraquat determination. The bismuth film was electrochemically deposited at an applied potential of ?0.18 V vs. Ag/AgCl (3.0 M KCl) for 200 s. The analytical curve was linear in the paraquat concentration range from 6.6×10?7 M to 4.8×10?5 M with a limit of detection of 9.3×10?8 M. The method presented satisfactory results at a confidence level of 95% and the performance was evaluated in water samples.  相似文献

本文研究了测定铜冶炼烟尘中铋含量0.050% ~5.00%的火焰原子吸收光谱法。对铜冶炼烟尘试样的溶解、测定体系中酸介质的影响和各干扰元素进行了试验研究。制定了铜冶炼烟尘中铋含量的原子吸收光谱法。方法标准偏差为0.0013 %~ 0.057 %,相对标准偏差为0.78 % ~1.44 %,样品加标回收率为98.95%~101.87%。本方法具有灵敏度高、结果准确、操作简便等特点,适合铜冶炼烟尘中铋含量0.050 % ~ 5.00 % 的测定。  相似文献

Urine samples are treated with concentrated nitric acid and potassium permanganate ar 70°C for 10 min prior to injection. The flow electrode system consists of a 10-μm diameter gold fibre working electrode, a glassy carbon reference electrode and a platinum counter electrode. In the fully automated constant-current stripping procedure, the gold fibre is first covered with a fresh gold film after which the sample is electrolyzed for 1 min prior to stripping in 0.1 M hydrochloric acid with a current of 0.1μA. The procedure is repeated on a spiked sample after which the sample analyte concentrations are evaluated and presented digitally and graphically on a printer/plotter. The results obtained for bismuth, copper and mercury in a urine reference sample were 36.9, 39.7 and 47.7 μg l?1 with standard deviations (n=10) of 3.2, 4.2 and 2.1, respectively. The certified values for copper and mercury were 45 and 51 μg l?1; no certified value was available for bismuth.  相似文献

For elimination of copper interference in anodic stripping determinations of zinc at mercury and bismuth film electrodes gallium ions are usually added to the supporting electrolyte. In the presented studies novel ex situ formed gallium film electrode was applied for this purpose. The proposed electrode is less toxic than mercury one while the detection limit for zinc was lower than for bismuth film electrode following the same deposition time. The calibration graph for deposition time of 60 s was linear from 5 × 10−8 to 2 × 10−6 mol L−1. The determinations of zinc were carried out from undeaerated solutions. The proposed procedure was applied to zinc determination in certified reference material and tap water sample.  相似文献
