The rounding of the transition curve is measured for superconducting bismuth films in a perpendicular magnetic field. The contribution of the fluctuating superconducting wave function to the conductivity aboveT c in an applied magnetic field is calculated with a simple model. The allowed states of the fluctuations are cylinders in momentum space. During their life time the fluctuating superconducting electrons can be accelerated by an electrical field and contribute to the conductivity. Experiment and theory are in fair agreement. We obtain some information about the Pauli spin paramagnetism of the electrons.  相似文献

A Hamiltonian formalism is applied to derive an exact solution to the equation of motion of a charged particle in the electromagnetic field of a traveling current wave. The particle motion is studied in a monochromatic magnetic field and in the traveling jump-like front of the magnetic field, and the wave mechanism for betatron acceleration is analyzed. It is shown that, in each of these situations, a charged particle can be accelerated simultaneously in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.  相似文献

The problem of the energy levels of a three-dimensional anisotropic harmonic oscillator in a uniform magnetic field with an arbitrary strength and orientation is exactly solved. It is shown that, in the magnetic field, the levels continue to be equidistant: the energy spectrum is a superposition of three groups of levels separated by the same spacing dependent on the field strength. The results obtained can be used in modeling the magneto-optical properties of diverse quantum-mechanical systems.  相似文献

The magnetic field enhancement is calculated for a magnetically imploded liner system that has flux excluding radial vanes. For the thinnest vane tested the field is found to concentrate at the vanes to a maximum value of almost three times its ambient value with a corresponding temperature increase well above the melting point. These values are calculated using the three-dimensional magnetohydrodgnamic code, MACH3. Calculations are performed for three vane thicknesses, and the vane movement is estimated. A bound is established on the design specification of the vanes based the disruption of current delivery to the liner due to the movement of the vanes  相似文献

For a charged particle in a homogeneous magnetic field, we construct stationary squeezed states which are eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian and the non-Hermitian operator , and Ŷ being the coordinates of the Larmor circle center and Φ is a complex parameter. In the family of the squeezed states, the quantum uncertainty in the Larmor circle position is minimal. The wave functions of the squeezed states in the coordinate representation are found and their properties are discussed. The three-dimensional ordering temperatures of the quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnet (CH3)4NMnCl3 containing 0, 0.13, 0.25 and 0.48 at% Cu2+ ions were studied as a function of an external magnetic field up to 60 kOe by means of proton NMR. A strong increase of TN(H) with H was found even for the impure system. The TN versus H curve for the pure system cam be explained by introducing a simple form for the effect of the field on the correlation length, ξ(T, H) = ξ(T) × [1+(λJ/kT)H2], while that for the impure system is unlike the one for the pure system.  相似文献

We develop and numerically illustrate an exact solution of the multivariate, stochastic, differential equations that govern the velocity and position of a charged particle in a plane normal to a uniform, stationary, magnetic field. Voyager 1 and 2 data reveals that magnetic field fluctuations are compressive and exhibit a Gaussian distribution in the compressed heliosheath plasma, whereas they follow a lognormal distribution in a nearly incompressible supersonic solar wind plasma. To describe the evolution of magnetic field, we develop a nonlinear simulation model of a partially ionized plasma based on two-dimensional time-dependent multifluid model. Our model self-consistently describes solar wind plasma ions, electrons, neutrals and pickup ions. It is found from our simulations that the magnetic field evolution is governed by mode conversion process that leads to the suppression of vortical modes, whereas the compressive modes are amplified. An implication of the mode conversion process is to quench the Alfvénic interactions associated with the vortical motions. Consequently anisotropic cascades are reduced. This is accompanied by the amplification of compressional modes that tend to isotropize the plasma fluctuations and lead to a Gaussian distribution of the magnetic field.  相似文献

Damping of an electrostatic plasma wave loaded with a small density bunches of trapped electrons and propagating across a weak magnetic field is studied. To describe the time evolution of the wave, simple algebraic equations are derived under some restrictions on the parameters of the physical system. It is shown that the nonlinear frequency shift of the wave due to the presence of the trapped particles plays an important role and must be taken into account in the self-consistent treatment of the wave–particle interaction.  相似文献
