The magnetic hyperfine interaction of 60Co in the completely miscible alloy Co x Pd1−x was investigated for different values of x by measuring the nuclear orientation of 60Co as function of temperature and by nuclear magnetic resonance of the oriented 60Co nuclei. A broad resonance signal of Gaussian shape could be observed down to x=60%. The dependence of the mean magnetic hyperfine field on the Co concentration was observed to be linear very similar to that of experimental values of the magnetic moment per atom in the literature. The magnetic hyperfine field and its broad distribution are discussed in a simple model with RKKY interaction. It is shown that the collective dust‐dust attraction is enhanced by strong magnetic fields larger then the critical magnetic field determined be the condition that the Lorentz force acting on ions is larger than the friction of ions on dust grains related with the dust drag. It is demonstrated that with an increase of the magnetic field the deepness of the attraction potential well is increased in all directions to the magnetic field, that the distance of the minimum of the potential well along the magnetic filed (in both directions) is changed only slightly while the distance of the minimum of the attraction potential well is substantially decreased for directions perpendicular to the magnetic field. This means that the structures formed by attraction forces such as plasma crystals will be compressed perpendicular to the magnetic field (inter‐dust distance becomes smaller) and that the melting transition temperature should increased with an increase of the strength of the magnetic field. Numerical results are presented for dependence of the attraction potential well on the ratio of the strength of the magnetic field to the critical magnetic field strength, on the parameter P = ndZd/ni (nd and ni being the dust and ion densities respectively) and on the temperature ratio τ = Ti/Te (Te and Ti being the electron and ion temperatures respectively). The thermal entanglement of a Two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XYZ chain in thermal equilibrium at temperature T in the presence of external magnetic field is investigated, the combined influence of anisotropic interaction and the inhomogeneous magnetic field on the thermal entanglement of the system is examined. Our results show that, the thermal entanglement can be produced at any finite T by adjusting the magnetic field strength, and the critical magnetic field ε for which the concurrence C vanishes is increased by introducing the interaction of the z-component of two neighboring spins J z , and by the increasing of the anisotropic parameter γ.  相似文献

The study deals with the effect of an applied transverse magnetic field on the dynamics and parameters of the focused and expanded plasma in a coaxial discharge. The experimental results were found with a 3 kJ Plasma focus device of a Mather geometry. The discharge takes place in hydrogen gas with base pressure of 0.5 Torr. The experiments are conducted with a 10 kV bank voltage, which corresponds to 100 kA peak discharge current with rise time 8 μs. Helmholtz magnetic coils are placed outside the expansions chamber to produce a transverse magnetic field with intensity 280 G perpendicular to the plasma expanded from the coaxial electrodes. The investigations have shown that the plasma flow along the expansion chamber axis is restricted when applying the externally transverse magnetic field and the maximum axial velocity of the expanded plasma is decreased by 33%. X-ray probe has been used to measure the focused plasma electron temperature (Te). The experimental results and the calculations showed that Te is decreased from 2.2 keV to 800 eV with the application of a transverse magnetic field. The expanded plasma electron temperature and density have been measured by an electric double probe, the results cleared that the expanded plasma electron temperature is decreased by 2.6 times while its density is increased by 9 times, when a transverse magnetic field is applied.  相似文献

The heat diffusion across the stochastic magnetic field is studied numerically. The stochastic field is generated by the overlap of two magnetic islands. The parameter w/wc, is found tobe an important parameter in charactering the transport, where w is the magnetic island width, and wc is the critical island width for flattening the electron temperature across an island. For w/wc < 1, the enhanced radial heat diffusivity χr is proportional to the parallel heat diffusivity χ, and the heat transport is dominated by the additive effect of individual islands. For w/wc > 3, χr is also proportional to χ and the additional degradation of the energy confinement due to stochastic magnetic field becomes apparent. (© 2016 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. By introducing the nonuniform magnetic field, we investigate the entanglement teleportation via two-qubit Heisenberg chain. We show that for ferromagnetic chain, the opposite direction magnetic field on the two-qubit chain can excite the teleported entanglement C out, while the uniform magnetic field can not do it. The effect of the uniform magnetic field B and the nonuniform magnetic field b on the threshold temperature T c is also plotted. Our study on the average fidelity of this quantum channel system shows that the magnetic field in opposite direction can result in the ideal average fidelity no matter whether the chain is ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic.  相似文献

YbCu5−x Al x provides the possibility to tune ground state properties by a change of the valence due to the Cu/Al substitution, by pressure as well as by the application of a magnetic field. Near to the critical concentration x cr≈1.5 non-Fermi-liquid properties (NFL) are obvious, obeying hyperscaling. If magnetic order sets in for x>1.5, the application of moderate magnetic fields quenches order and again NFL features become evident. Hyperscaling in this case indicates strongly interacting spin fluctuations.  相似文献

We have studied the variation of low field magnetization hysteresis in YBa2Cu3O7 as a function of the maximum magnetic field applied during a hysteresis cycle (1 G<H max<7.3 G) and also as a function of temperature (77 K<T<95 K). The remnant magnetization is studied as a function ofH max andT and the measured dependences are explained using the extended critical state model. The potential of this technique as a contactless method of probing the temperature dependence ofJ c is discussed.  相似文献

The present paper considers the plasma-beam instability of a space limited electron beam in a strong magnetic field (ωH ? ωo). The form of the beam was taken to be both cylindrical and plane. The threshold of the non-linear regime turned out to be weakly dependent on the beam form and independent of the magnetic field intensity. Over the past decade several pulsed field gradient stimulated-echo methods have been presented for diffusion measurements in heterogeneous media. These methods have reduced or eliminated the coupling between the applied magnetic field gradient and a constant internal magnetic field gradient caused by susceptibility changes throughout the sample. For many research purposes thez-storage delay between the second and third π/2 RF pulse has been included in order to increase the decay of the echo attenuation to an appropriate level and to increase the signal-to-noise ratio by avoidingT2relaxation of the magnetization in parts of the pulse sequence. For these reasons a stimulated-echo method has been applied instead of a spin-echo method. When studying systems where it is necessary to keep the duration of the pulse sequence at a minimum, and one is not dependent on usingz-storage time to increase the echo attenuation or to study diffusion as a function of observation time, a spin-echo method should be chosen. Here we propose a bipolar pulsed field gradient spin-echo method which is well suited to this purpose, and preliminary diffusion measurements are presented as illustration.  相似文献

The crossing of the energy levels of Yb3+ ions in paramagnetic YbPO4 in ultrahigh magnetic fields of up to 400 T, produced by an explosive method, is investigated experimentally and theoretically. A wide maximum is found in the differential susceptibility dM/dH in a field H c ≈280 T. This maximum is due to the crossing of the energy levels of the magnetic ions in the field. The magnetocalorimetric effect is calculated under the assumption that the magnetization process in the pulsed fields is adiabatic. Energy cascade rates and Kolmogorov’s constant for non-helical steady magnetohydrodynamic turbulence have been calculated by solving the flux equations to the first order in perturbation. For zero cross helicity and space dimensiond = 3, magnetic energy cascades from large length-scales to small length-scales (forward cascade). In addition, there are energy fluxes from large-scale magnetic field to small-scale velocity field, large-scale velocity field to small-scale magnetic field, and large-scale velocity field to large-scale magnetic field. Kolmogorov’s constant for magnetohydrodynamics is approximately equal to that for fluid turbulence (≈ 1.6) for Alfvén ratio 05 ≤r A ≤ ∞. For higher space-dimensions, the energy fluxes are qualitatively similar, and Kolmogorov’s constant varies asd 1/3. For the normalized cross helicity σc →1, the cascade rates are proportional to (1 − σc)/(1 + σc , and the Kolmogorov’s constants vary significantly with σcc.  相似文献

We investigate the nucleation of superconductivity in an Al/Al2O3/Py trilayer system by electrical transport measurements. Magnetic force microscopy images taken at room temperature show that the 0.7 μm thick Py-film form stripes of magnetic domains with alternating out-of-plane stray field. After applying a strong out of plane magnetic field H the superconductor/normal phase boundary becomes asymmetric with respect to H = 0. This lack of field polarity symmetry results from the unbalanced size distribution of domains with opposite polarity.  相似文献

Experimental results on the field ionization of ozone at an iridium surface using a magnetic sector atom-probe FIM show that at the lowest field of ~1.5 V/Å only 25% of all ions produced are O+3, while O+2 and a small percentage of O+ indicate field induced dissociation of ozone and recombination of atomic oxygen into O2. At high fields and free space ionization, O+2 is predominant, while the atomic oxygen as a dissociation product escapes without being ionized and cannot be detected. Using pure oxygen as an imaging gas in the FIM, O+2 ions do not dissociate under the same conditions.  相似文献

Bianchi Type V massive string cosmological models with free gravitational field of Petrov Type degenerate in the presence of magnetic field with variable magnetic permeability are investigated. The magnetic field is due to an electric current produced along the x-axis. The F 23 is the only non-vanishing component of electromagnetic field tensor F ij . Maxwell’s equations F [ij;k] = 0 and F ;j ij = 0 are satisfied by F 23 = constant. The behaviour of the model in the presence and absence of magnetic field and other physical aspects are also discussed.   相似文献

Simulations utilising the finite element method (FEM) have been produced in order to investigate aspects of circular extraordinary magnetoresistance (EMR) devices. The effect of three specific features on the resultant magnetoresistance were investigated: the ratio of the metallic to semiconducting conductivities (σ M /σ S ); the semiconductor mobility; and the introduction of an intermediate region at the semiconductormetal interface in order to simulate a contact resistance. In order to obtain a large EMR effect the conductivity ratio (σ M /σ S ) is required to be larger than two orders of magnitude; below this critical value the resultant magnetoresistance effect is dramatically reduced. Large mobility semiconductors exhibit larger EMR values for a given field (below saturation) and reduce the magnetic field required to produce saturation of the magnetoresistance. This is due to a larger Hall angle produced at a given magnetic field and is consistent with the mechanism of the EMR effect. Since practical magnetic field sensors are required to operate at low magnetic fields, high mobility semiconductors are required in the production of more sensitive EMR sensors. The formation of a Schottky barrier at the semiconductor-metal interface has been modelled with the introduction of a contact resistance at the semiconductor-metal interface. Increasing values of contact resistance are found to reduce the EMR effect with it disappearing altogether for large values. This has been shown explicitly by looking at the current flow in the system and is consistent with the mechanism of the EMR effect. The interface resistance was used to fit the simulated model to existing experimental data. The best fit occurred with an interface with resistivity of 1.55×10−4 m (overestimate). The EMR effect holds great potential with regard to its future application to magnetic field sensors. The design of any such devices should incorporate high mobility materials (such as graphene) along with the specific features presented in this paper in order to produce effective magnetic field sensors.  相似文献

It is shown theoretically that the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) coefficient R s of magnetic granular alloys exhibiting giant magnetoresistance (GMR) depends strongly and, in the general case, nonmonotonically on the magnetic field as a result of the effect of the field on the character of the charge-carrier scattering and the AHE. The experimental data, presented by H. Sato, H. Hemmi, Y. Kobayashi et al., J. Appl. Phys. 76, 6919 (1994), on the field dependence R s (H) in Co-Ag granular alloys at low temperatures are explained. The presence of a maximum in the field dependence |R s (H)| in annealed Co-Ag alloys attests to the fact that skew scattering plays a dominant role in the formation of the AHE and that the main carriers of the AHE in these alloys are states whose spin polarization is directed oppositely to the magnetization. It is shown that the quadratic component of the kinetic energy of continuous longitudinal motion of relativistic electrons in the external magnetic field is varied continuously between 0 and 2(2m e c 2B H) within each Landau energy level, undergoing an abrupt change at the boundaries of the levels. This results in the fact that in the quantum limit of a superstrong magnetic field where all electrons are at the zero Landau level, the maximum quadratic component of the kinetic energy of free longitudinal electron motion along the direction of the magnetic field is twice as high as the maximum quadratic component of the kinetic energy of its bound transverse motion.  相似文献

Influences of an axial magnetic field on the ionization wave and the positive column in rare gas discharges are studied experimentally. The upper critical current Ic for the appearance of ionization waves in the magnetic field B is newly found. As B is gradually increased, the value of Ie slightly increases from the Pupp's value and after passing a prominent maximum, finally become very small. In addition an anomaly takes place in the axial electric field E of the positive column stable for helical instabilities. With increasing the magnetic field the value of E goes through a weak maximum before decreasing. It is concluded that this anomaly, apparently incompatible with classical diffusion theory, is closely related to the appearance of ionization waves in the positive column.  相似文献

On the basis of Heisenberg model, the magnetic properties of amorphous terbium were studied by the Monte Carlo method. The temperature dependences of spontaneous magnetization and magnetic susceptibility were plotted as functions of the fraction of the constant of anisotropy to the exchange constant D/J 0. The behavior of magnetization in an external magnetic field was studied, and the dependence of a coercive field and residual magnetization on the value D/J 0 was found. The relaxation of magnetization was investigated after the external magnetic field was switched off.  相似文献
