Recently the author presented a notion of standard basis for a T-ideal of the free associative algebra over a field of zero characteristic. It was proved that it is finite if the T-ideal contains either Lie nilpotency of index 3 or a multilinear product of commutators of degree 2. Here we prove the finiteness of the reduced standard basis of any T-ideal containing Lie nilpotency of index 4.  相似文献

We study codeterminants in the q-Schur algebra S q (n,r) and prove that the standard ones form a basis of S q (n,r), using a quantized version of the Désarménien matrix. We find elements of the form F S 1λ E T in Lusztig’s modified enveloping algebra of gl(n), which, up to powers of q, map to the basis of standard codeterminants, where F S U and E T U + are explicitly given products of root vectors, depending on Young tableaux S and T.  相似文献

A tower in a Boolean algebra (BA) is a strictly increasing sequence, of regular order type, of elements of the algebra different from 1 but with sum 1. A pseudo-tree is a partially ordered set T such that the set Tt = {s ∈ T:s < t} is linearly ordered for every t ∈ T. If that set is well-ordered, then T is a tree. For any pseudo-tree T, the BA Treealg(T) is the algebra of subsets of T generated by all of the sets Tt = {s ∈ T:t ≤ s}. The main theorem of this note is a characterization in tree terms of when Treealg(T) has a tower of order type κ (given in advance).  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to obtain the commutator relations and Frobenius relations in a relatively free algebra F (l) specified by the identity [x 1 , . . . , x l ] = 0 over a field of characteristic p > 0. These relations for l > 3 are analogous to the relations in the algebra F (3) and are applied to the T-spaces in the algebra F (l). In order to study the relations in F (l) in more detail, we construct a model algebra analogous to the Grassmann algebra.  相似文献

Let k be an algebraically closed field. Let Λ be the path algebra over k of the linearly oriented quiver \mathbb An\mathbb A_n for n ≥ 3. For r ≥ 2 and n > r we consider the finite dimensional k −algebra Λ(n,r) which is defined as the quotient algebra of Λ by the two sided ideal generated by all paths of length r. We will determine for which pairs (n,r) the algebra Λ(n,r) is piecewise hereditary, so the bounded derived category D b (Λ(n,r)) is equivalent to the bounded derived category of a hereditary abelian category H\mathcal H as triangulated category.  相似文献

An n-ideal of a lattice L is a convex sublattice containing a fixed element n L and it is called standard if it is a standard element of the lattice of n-ideals In(L). In this paper we have shown that, for a neutral element n of a lattice L, the principal n-ideal an of a lattice L is a standard n-ideal if and only if a n is standard and a n is dual standard. We have also shown that if n is a neutral element and (n] and [n) are relatively complemented, then every homomorphism n-kernels of L is a standard n-ideal and every standard n-ideal is the n-kernel of precisely one congruence relation. Finally, we have shown that, for a relatively complemented lattice L with 0 and 1, C(L) is a Boolean algebra if and only if every standard n-ideal of L is a principal n-ideal.AMS Subject Classification (2000) 06B10 06B99 06C15  相似文献

We study the differential polynomial identities of the algebra UTm(F) under the derivation action of the two dimensional metabelian Lie algebra, obtaining a generating set of the TL-ideal they constitute. Then we determine the Sn-structure of their proper multilinear spaces and, for the minimal cases m =?2, 3, their exact differential codimension sequence.

In this article the Loewy length of the descent algebra of D 2m + 1 is shown to be m + 2, for m ≥ 2, by providing an upper bound that agrees with the lower bound in Bonnafé and Pfeiffer (2006). The bound is obtained by showing that the length of the longest path in the quiver of the descent algebra of D 2m + 1 is at most m + 1. To achieve this bound, the geometric approach to the descent algebra is used, in which the descent algebra of a finite Coxeter group W is identified with an algebra associated to the reflection arrangement of W.  相似文献

A mistake concerning the ultra LI-ideal of a lattice implication algebra is pointed out, and some new sufficient and necessary conditions for an LI-ideal to be an ultra LI-ideal are given. Moreover, the notion of an LI-ideal is extended to MTL-algebras, the notions of a (prime, ultra, obstinate, Boolean) LI-ideal and an ILI-ideal of an MTL-algebra are introduced, some important examples are given, and the following notions are proved to be equivalent in MTL-algebra: (1) prime proper LI-ideal and Boolean LI-ideal, (2) prime proper LI-ideal and ILI-ideal, (3) proper obstinate LI-ideal, (4) ultra LI-ideal. This paper considers some random processes of the form X n+1=T X n +B n (mod p) where B n and X n are random variables over (ℤ/pℤ) d and T is a fixed d×d integer matrix which is invertible over the complex numbers. For a particular distribution for B n , this paper improves results of Asci to show that if T has no complex eigenvalues of length 1, then for integers p relatively prime to det (T), order (log p)2 steps suffice to make X n close to uniformly distributed where X 0 is the zero vector. This paper also shows that if T has a complex eigenvalue which is a root of unity, then order p b steps are needed for X n to get close to uniformly distributed for some positive value b≤2 which may depend on T and X 0 is the zero vector.  相似文献

We define the notion of admissible pair for an algebra A, consisting on a couple (Γ, R), where Γ is a quiver and R a unital, splitted and factorizable representation of Γ, and prove that the set of admissible pairs for A is in one to one correspondence with the points of the variety of twisting maps TAn:=T(Kn,A)\mathcal{T}_A^n:=\mathcal{T}(K^n,A). We describe all these representations in the case A = K m .  相似文献

To any locally finite thick building of type there is naturally associated a commutative algebra of operators. When is constructed from a local field F with local ring , and , then is isomorphic to the convolution algebra of compactly supported bi-K-invariant functions on PGL(n+1,F). We give a proof, valid for any , that the multiplicative functionals on may all be expressed in terms of Hall–Littlewood polynomials. Regarding as a subalgebra of the C *-algebra of bounded operators on the space of square summable functions on the vertex set of , we find the spectrum of the C *-algebra , the closure of . This generalizes results obtained in [3] when n = 1 and in [5] when n = 2.  相似文献

Let F be a free Lie algebra of rank n ≥ 2 and A be a free abelian Lie algebra of rank m ≥ 2. We prove that the test rank of the abelian product F ×A is m. Morever we compute the test rank of the algebra F/gk( F) F/\gamma _{k}\left( F\right) ^{^{\prime }}.  相似文献

We propose a new O(n)-space implementation of the GKO-Cauchy algorithm for the solution of linear systems where the coefficient matrix is Cauchy-like. Moreover, this new algorithm makes a more efficient use of the processor cache memory; for matrices of size larger than n ≈ 500–1,000, it outperforms the customary GKO algorithm. We present an applicative case of Cauchy-like matrices with non-reconstructible main diagonal. In this special instance, the O(n) space algorithms can be adapted nicely to provide an efficient implementation of basic linear algebra operations in terms of the low displacement-rank generators.  相似文献

A monoid S generated by {x1,. . .,xn} is said to be of (left) I-type if there exists a map v from the free Abelian monoid FaMn of rank n generated by {u1,. . .,un} to S so that for all a∈FaMn one has {v(u1a),. . .,v(una)}={x1v(a),. . .,xnv(a)}. Then S has a group of fractions, which is called a group of (left) I-type. These monoids first appeared in the work of Gateva-Ivanova and Van den Bergh, inspired by earlier work of Tate and Van den Bergh. In this paper we show that monoids and groups of left I-type can be characterized as natural submonoids and groups of semidirect products of the free Abelian group Fan and the symmetric group of degree n. It follows that these notions are left–right symmetric. As a consequence we determine many aspects of the algebraic structure of such monoids and groups. In particular, they can often be decomposed as products of monoids and groups of the same type but on less generators and many such groups are poly-infinite cyclic. We also prove that the minimal prime ideals of a monoid S of I-type, and of the corresponding monoid algebra, are principal and generated by a normal element. Further, via left–right divisibility, we show that all semiprime ideals of S can be described. The latter yields an ideal chain of S with factors that are semigroups of matrix type over cancellative semigroups. We define an ultra LI-ideal of a lattice implication algebra and give equivalent conditions for an LI-ideal to be ultra. We show that every subset of a lattice implication algebra which has the finite additive property can be extended to an ultra LI-ideal.  相似文献
