In the present paper, the high-frequency diffraction of a plane wave by a right-angle step discontinuity in an impedance plane
is analyzed with the help of the uniform geometric theory of diffraction, beginning with the Maluzhenets solution. The principal
term of an asymptotic solution of the problem, which is uniform with respect to the angle of incidence of the plane wave and
the angle of observation, is derived. The excitation of primary and multiply diffracted fields radiated from the upper edge,
as well as surface waves, is considered (the lower edge does not radiate cylindrical or surface waves owing to a right-angle
step). For simplicity, the details of computation are given here for a right-angle step discontinuity. A similar procedure
is applied to other examples with more complicated geometry. Bibliography: 7 titles.

This article examines a boundary-value problem concerning the diffraction of a monochromatic plane shear wave on a reinforced cylindrical cavity in an elastic half-space. It is assumed that longitudinal shear stresses are absent and that the normal displacements over the entire boundary are specified. Through the use of a special form of the Lamé representation in cylindrical coordinates, the problem is reduced to the determination of scalar functions which satisfy the Helmholtz equation. The coefficients of the Fourier expansions of these functions in the angular coordinate are written as the sum of Fourier and Weber integrals. The densities of these integrals are determined exactly. An exact solution of the antiplane problem of the diffraction of a plane elastic SH-wave with a step profile by a wedge is obtained. The stresses on the wedge sides are assumed to be proportional to a linear combination of the displacements, velocities and higher derivatives with respect to time of the displacements along the wedge axis. A solution of the problem is obtained using integral transformations with subsequent transformation using Cagniard's method. Solutions of the corresponding problems with boundary conditions of the Winkler and inertial types are considered. When a wave with a linear profile is incident on the wedge the stresses suffer a discontinuity of the second kind on the diffraction wave front; the same type of feature is observed in the problem with the inertial condition. 相似文献

There is considered sound radiation by a plate reinforced by a periodic set of projecting stiffener ribs of small wave dimensions. The source of the field is a set of lumped harmonic forces applied to the plate periodically in each transit, where the forces are taken identical in amplitude but with a constant phase shift between adjacent sources. The problem of diffraction of a plane scalar wave by a narrow cone is considered. The shape of the cone is arbitrary. The
boundary condition is the Dirichlet or Neumann one. The wave scattered by the cone vertex arises as a result of the diffraction
process. The subject of this paper is to calculate the wave amplitude. If the cone is narrow, it is possible to obtain simpler
approximate formulas in comparison with Smyshlayev's one. The exactness of the approximate formulas is checked numerically.
The etalon is a solution in explicit form in the axially symmetric case. The calculation shows that our formula is more exact
in the case of the Dirichlet boundary condition than Felsen's formula. The approximate formula is a generalization of Felsen's
one for circular cone to an arbitrary narrow cone in the case of the Neumann boundary condition. Bibliography: 6 titles.

In each case we obtain the solution as a series which converges when the product of the wave number and the radius of the disk is large. The wave properties of a system consisting of an elastic plate and an absolutely rigid infinite rib with a defect on a segment
are examined. An elastic inclusion and a gap are two kinds of defects under study. The Green's function method is applied
to the diffraction problem and transforms it to singular integro-differential equations on an interval. For the case of short
defects, the nonresonance and resonance asymptotics of the scattering pattern are obtained. These results show that the coefficient
of penetration for a gap is much larger than that for an elastic inclusion if the frequency is nonresonant.

The scattering of sound waves by an isotropic elastic circular cylinder of infinite extent in a water of finite depth is investigated taking into account the shear waves that can exist in addition to compressional waves in scatterers of solid material. The axis of the cylinder is parallel to the water level. The reflected and transmitted energies are plotted for the various values of the radius of the cylinder, and the farfield scattered pressure is obtained for various depth and presented in a graphical form. Exact formulae are derived for the reflected and refracted waves which occur for the inclined incidence of a plane horizontally polarized transverse wave of arbitrary profile on a horizontal interface between two elastic half-spaces experiencing non-linear friction when they move with respect to one another. A smooth function of general form is adopted as the friction function, which depends on the difference between the horizontal velocities of the elements of the boundaries of the half-spaces considered. It is shown that if the friction function depends non-monotonically on the relative velocity of displacement of the sides of a slit, then even when the profile of the incident wave is smooth, the reflected and refracted waves may contain strong discontinuities. 相似文献
