Let A be a standard Koszul standardly stratified algebra and X an A-module. The paper investigates conditions which imply that the module Ext* A (X) over the Yoneda extension algebra A* is filtered by standard modules. In particular, we prove that the Yoneda extension algebra of A is also standardly stratified. This is a generalization of similar results on quasi-hereditary and on graded standardly stratified algebras.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a standard system in order to deal with quasi-hereditary algebras. We shall prove that a necessary and sufficient condition for a finite-dimensional algebra to be quasi-hereditary is the existence of a full and divisible standard system. As a further application, we obtain a sufficient condition for a standardly stratified algebra.  相似文献

Let n be a natural number, and let A be an indecomposable cellular algebra such that the spectrum of its Cartan matrix C is of the form {n, 1, …., 1}. In general, not every natural number could be the number of non-isomorphic simple modules over such a cellular algebra. Thus, two natural questions arise: (1) which numbers could be the number of non-isomorphic simple modules over such a cellular algebra A ? (2) Given such a number, is there a cellular algebra such that its Cartan matrix has the desired property ? In this paper, we shall completely answer the first question, and give a partial answer to the second question by constructing cellular algebras with the pre-described Cartan matrix.  相似文献

Quasi-hereditary algebras can be viewed as a Lie theory approach to the theory of finite dimensional algebras. Motivated by the existence of certain nice bases for representations of semisimple Lie algebras and algebraic groups, we will construct in this paper nice bases for (split) quasi-hereditary algebras and characterize them using these bases. We first introduce the notion of a standardly based algebra, which is a generalized version of a cellular algebra introduced by Graham and Lehrer, and discuss their representation theory. The main result is that an algebra over a commutative local noetherian ring with finite rank is split quasi-hereditary if and only if it is standardly full-based. As an application, we will give an elementary proof of the fact that split symmetric algebras are not quasi-hereditary unless they are semisimple. Finally, some relations between standardly based algebras and cellular algebras are also discussed.  相似文献

The determinant of the Cartan matrix of a finite dimensional algebra is an invariant of the derived category and can be very helpful for derived equivalence classifications. In this paper we determine the determinants of the Cartan matrices for all gentle algebras. This is a class of algebras of tame representation type which occurs naturally in various places in representation theory. The definition of these algebras is of a purely combinatorial nature, and so are our formulae for the Cartan determinants.Received: 29 October 2004  相似文献

Actions of Commutative Hopf Algebras   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
We show that actions of finite-dimensional semisimple commutativeHopf algebras H on H-module algebras A are essentially group-gradings.Moreover we show that the centralizer of H in the smash productA # H equals AH H. Using these we invoke results about groupgraded algebras and results about centralizers of separablesubalgebras to give connections between the ideal structureof A, AH and A # H. Examples of the above occur naturally when one considers: (1) finite abelian groups G of automorphisms of an algebra Awith | G |–1 A; (2) G-graded algebras, for finite groups G; (3) finite-dimensional restricted Lie algebras L, with semisimplerestricted enveloping algebra u(L), acting as derivations onan algebra A.  相似文献

The relationships between piecewise-Koszul algebras and other “Koszul-type” algebras are discussed. The Yoneda-Ext algebra and the dual algebra of a piecewise-Koszul algebra are studied, and a sufficient condition for the dual algebra A ! to be piecewise-Koszul is given. Finally, by studying the trivial extension algebras of the path algebras of Dynkin quivers in bipartite orientation, we give explicit constructions for piecewise-Koszul algebras with arbitrary “period” and piecewise-Koszul algebras with arbitrary “jump-degree”.  相似文献

Let A be a finite-dimensional associative algebra with identity over a field k. In this paper we introduce the concept of (*)-serial algebras which is a generalization of serial algebras. We investigate the properties of (*)-serial algebras, and we obtain sufficient and necessary conditions for an associative algebra to be (*)-serial.  相似文献

Consider a finite dimensional restricted Lie algebra over a field of prime characteristic. Each linear form on this Lie algebra defines a finite dimensional quotient of its universal enveloping algebra, called a reduced enveloping algebra. This leads to a Cartan matrix recording the multiplicities as composition factors of the simple modules in the projective indecomposable modules for such a reduced enveloping algebra. In this paper we show how to compare such Cartan matrices belonging to distinct linear forms. As an application we rederive and generalise the reciprocity formula first discovered by Humphreys for Lie algebras of reductive groups. For simple Lie algebras of Cartan type we see, for example, that the Cartan matrices for linear forms of non-positive height are submatrices of the Cartan matrix for the zero linear form.  相似文献

This is a contribution to the classification of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras. We are concerned with the case when the group of group-like elements is Abelian of exponent 2. We attach to such a pointed Hopf algebra a generalized simply-laced Cartan matrix; we conjecture that the Hopf algebra is finite-dimensional if and only if the Cartan matrix is of finite type. We prove the conjecture for the types An and An(1). We obtain the classification of all possible Hopf algebras with Cartan matrix An. We use the lifting method developed by Hans-Jürgen Schneider and the first-named author. Presented by S. Let A and B be algebras, and let T be the dual extension algebra of A and B. We provide a different method to prove that T is Koszul if and only if both A and B are Koszul. Furthermore, we prove that an algebra is Koszul if and only if one of its iterated dual extension algebras is Koszul, if and only if all its iterated dual extension algebras are Koszul. Finally, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a dual extension algebra to have the property that all linearly presented modules are Koszul modules, which provides an effective way to construct algebras with such a property.  相似文献

Liu and Paquette defined a class of artin algebras, more general than the standardly stratified ones, called quasi-stratified algebras. Not only is the Cartan Determinant Conjecture (CDC) true for these algebras, so is its converse. This article shows that this class of algebras is preserved under “pruning” sources and sinks from the left quiver. It compares the classes of quasi-stratified and left serial algebras, as well as quasi-stratified and gentle algebras. Holm has shown that the CDC holds for gentle algebras; the converse is also established. It is shown when a Yamagata family of algebras of large finite global dimension yield quasi-stratified ones and constructs quasi-stratified elementary algebras from smaller ones.  相似文献

Let A be a finite-dimensional basic connected associative algebra over an algebraically closed field, and T(A)=A ? DA its trivial extension by its minimal injective cogenerator. We prove that T(A) is representation-finite of Cartan class Δ if and only if A is an iterated tilted algebra of Dynkin class Δ. The proof also yields a construction procedure for iterated tilted algebras of Dynkin type.  相似文献

We introduce and study the class of weighted locally gentle quivers. This naturally extends the class of gentle quivers and gentle algebras, which have been intensively studied in the representation theory of finite-dimensional algebras, to a wider class of potentially infinite-dimensional algebras. Weights on the arrows of these quivers lead to gradings on the corresponding algebras. For natural grading by path lengths, any locally gentle algebra is Koszul. The class of locally gentle algebras consists of the gentle algebras together with their Koszul duals. Our main result is a general combinatorial formula for the determinant of the weighted Cartan matrix of a weighted locally gentle quiver. We show that this weighted Cartan determinant is a rational function which is completely determined by the combinatorics of the quiver-more precisely by the number and the weight of certain oriented cycles.  相似文献

In this paper, we study non-cosemisimple Hopf algebras through their underlying coalgebra structure. We introduce the concept of the maximal pointed subcoalgebra/Hopf subalgebra. For a non-cosemisimple Hopf algebra A with the Chevalley property, if its diagram is a Nichols algebra, then the diagram of its maximal pointed Hopf subalgebra is also a Nichols algebra. When A is of finite dimension, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for A’s diagram equaling the diagram of its maximal pointed Hopf subalgebra.  相似文献

Let W be a finite Coxeter group. We define its Hecke-group algebra by gluing together appropriately its group algebra and its 0-Hecke algebra. We describe in detail this algebra (dimension, several bases, conjectural presentation, combinatorial construction of simple and indecomposable projective modules, Cartan map) and give several alternative equivalent definitions (as symmetry preserving operator algebra, as poset algebra, as commutant algebra, …).In type A, the Hecke-group algebra can be described as the algebra generated simultaneously by the elementary transpositions and the elementary sorting operators acting on permutations. It turns out to be closely related to the monoid algebras of respectively nondecreasing functions and nondecreasing parking functions, the representation theory of which we describe as well. This defines three towers of algebras, and we give explicitly the Grothendieck algebras and coalgebras given respectively by their induction products and their restriction coproducts. This yields some new interpretations of the classical bases of quasi-symmetric and noncommutative symmetric functions as well as some new bases.  相似文献

The Lie algebra of Cartan type H which occurs as a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra was generalized by the first author to a class which included a subalgebra of the derivations of the Laurent polynomials . We show in this paper that these generalizations of Cartan type H algebras are isomorphic to certain generalizations of the classical algebra of Poisson brackets, and that it can be generalized further. In turn, these algebras can be recast in a form that is an adaption of a class of Lie algebras of characteristic p that was defined in 1958 be R. Block. A further generalization of these algebras is the main topic of this paper. We show when these algebras are simple, find their derivations, and determine all possible isomorphisms between two of these algebras. Let PB be a principal G-bundle. For any connection θ on P, the Chern-Weil construction of characteristic classes defines an algebra homomorphism from the Weil algebra Wg=Sg⊗∧g into the algebra of differential forms A=Ω(P). Invariant polynomials inv(Sg)⊂Wg map to cocycles, and the induced map in cohomology inv(Sg)→H(Abasic) is independent of the choice of θ. The algebra Ω(P) is an example of a commutativeg-differential algebra with connection, as introduced by H. Cartan in 1950. As observed by Cartan, the Chern-Weil construction generalizes to all such algebras. In this paper, we introduce a canonical Chern-Weil map WgA for possibly non-commutativeg-differential algebras with connection. Our main observation is that the generalized Chern-Weil map is an algebra homomorphism “up to g-homotopy”. Hence, the induced map inv(Sg)→Hbasic(A) is an algebra homomorphism. As in the standard Chern-Weil theory, this map is independent of the choice of connection.Applications of our results include: a conceptually easy proof of the Duflo theorem for quadratic Lie algebras, a short proof of a conjecture of Vogan on Dirac cohomology, generalized Harish-Chandra projections for quadratic Lie algebras, an extension of Rouvière's theorem for symmetric pairs, and a new construction of universal characteristic forms in the Bott-Shulman complex.  相似文献
