We introduce a notion of Gorenstein R-algebras over a commutative Gorenstein ring R. Then we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for a tilting complex over a Gorenstein R-algebra A to have a Gorenstein R-algebra B as the endomorphism algebra and a construction of such a tilting complex. Furthermore, we provide an example of a tilting complex over a Gorenstein R-algebra A whose endomorphism algebra is not a Gorenstein R-algebra.  相似文献

We introduce a notion of Gorenstein algebras of codimension c and demonstrate that Serre duality theory plays an essential role in the theory of derived equivalences for Gorenstein algebras.  相似文献

First, we show that a compact object C in a triangulated category, which satisfies suitable conditions, induces a t-structure. Second, in an abelian category we show that a complex P· of small projective objects of term length two, which satisfies suitable conditions, induces a torsion theory. In the case of module categories, using a torsion theory, we give equivalent conditions for P· to be a tilting complex. Finally, in the case of artin algebras, we give a one-to-one correspondence between tilting complexes of term length two and torsion theories with certain conditions.  相似文献

We generalize the tilting process by Happel, Reiten and Smalø to the setting of finitely presented modules over right coherent rings. Moreover, we extend the characterization of quasi-tilted artin algebras as the almost hereditary ones to all right noetherian rings.  相似文献

The fundamental example of Gerstenhaber algebra is the space Tpoly(Rd) of polyvector fields on Rd, equipped with the wedge product and the Schouten bracket. In this paper, we explicitely describe what is the enveloping G algebra of a Gerstenhaber algebra G. This structure gives us a definition of the Chevalley-Harrison cohomology operator for G. We finally show the nontriviality of a Chevalley-Harrison cohomology group for a natural Gerstenhaber subalgebra in Tpoly(Rd).  相似文献

For R a commutative Noetherian ring, wide and Serre subcategories of finitely generated R-modules have been classified by their support. This paper studies general torsion classes and introduces narrow subcategories. These are closed under fewer operations than wide and Serre subcategories, but still for finitely generated R-modules both narrow subcategories and torsion classes are classified using the same support data. Although for finitely generated R-modules all four kinds of subcategories coincide, they do not coincide in the larger category of all R-modules.  相似文献

The calculation of the iterated loop functors and their left derived functors on the category of unstable modules over the Steenrod algebra is a non-trivial problem; Singer constructed an explicit and functorial chain complex to calculate these functors. The results of Singer are analysed to give information on the behaviour of these functors with respect to the nilpotent filtration of the category of unstable modules. We show that, if an unstable module M supports an action of an unstable algebra K, then the derived functors of the iterated loop functors applied to M support actions of iterated doubles of K. This allows the finiteness results of Henn on unstable modules which support actions of unstable algebras to be applied to deduce structural results on the derived functors of iterated loops on such modules.  相似文献

We investigate when an exact functor --Γ which induces a stable equivalence is part of a stable equivalence of Morita type. If Λ and Γ are finite dimensional algebras over a field k whose semisimple quotients are separable, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for this to be the case. This generalizes a result of Rickard’s for self-injective algebras. As a corollary, we see that the two functors given by tensoring with the bimodules in a stable equivalence of Morita type are right and left adjoints of one another, provided that these bimodules are indecomposable. This fact has many interesting consequences for stable equivalences of Morita type. In particular, we show that a stable equivalence of Morita type induces another stable equivalence of Morita type between certain self-injective algebras associated to the original algebras. We further show that when there exists a stable equivalence of Morita type between Λ and Γ, it is possible to replace Λ by a Morita equivalent k-algebra Δ such that Γ is a subring of Δ and the induction and restriction functors induce inverse stable equivalences.  相似文献

In this article we introduce two new concepts, those of a τ-CS and a s-τ-CS module, which are both torsion-theoretic analogues of CS modules. We investigate their relationship with the familiar concepts of τ-injective, τ-simple and τ-uniform modules and compare them with τ-complemented (τ-injective) modules, which were considered by other authors as torsion-theoretic analogues of CS modules. We are interested in decomposing a relatively CS module into indecomposable submodules, and in determining when a direct sum of relatively CS modules is relatively CS. This paper forms part of the Ph.D. thesis of the first author, written under the supervision of the second author. Let R be a ring and P be an (infinite dimensional) partial tilting module. We show that the perpendicular category of P is equivalent to the full module category where and ?R is the Bongartz complement of P modulo its P-trace. Moreover, there is a ring epimorphism φ:RS. We characterize the case when φ is a perfect localization. By [Riccardo Colpi, Alberto Tonolo, Jan Trlifaj, Partial cotilting modules and the lattices induced by them, Comm. Algebra 25 (10) (1997) 3225-3237], there exist mutually inverse isomorphisms μ and ν between the interval in the lattice of torsion classes in , and the lattice of all torsion classes in . We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for μ and ν to preserve tilting torsion classes. As a consequence, we show that these conditions are always satisfied when R is a Dedekind domain, and if P is finitely presented and R is an artin algebra, then the conditions reduce to the trivial ones, namely that each value of μ and ν contains all injectives.  相似文献

We prove that the 2-category of small abelian categories with exact functors is anti-equivalent to the 2-category of definable additive categories. We define and compare sheaves of localisations associated to the objects of these categories. We investigate the natural image of the free abelian category over a ring in the module category over that ring and use this to describe a basis for the Ziegler topology on injectives; the last can be viewed model-theoretically as an elimination of imaginaries result.  相似文献

We prove a Dold-Kan type correspondence between the category of planar dendroidal abelian groups and a suitably constructed category of planar dendroidal chain complexes. Our result naturally extends the classical Dold-Kan correspondence between the category of simplicial abelian groups and the category of non-negatively graded chain complexes.  相似文献

LetA be an algebra in an abelian monoidal category M. We prove that the category of leftA-modules is abelian, wheneverA is right coflat. This paper was written while the author was member of G.N.S.A.G.A. with partial financial support from M.I.U.R.  相似文献

Motivated by constructions in the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras we generalize the notion of Artin-Schelter regular algebras of dimension n to algebras and categories to include Auslander algebras and a graded analogue for infinite representation type. A generalized Artin-Schelter regular algebra or a category of dimension n is shown to have common properties with the classical Artin-Schelter regular algebras. In particular, when they admit a duality, then they satisfy Serre duality formulas and the -category of nice sets of simple objects of maximal projective dimension n is a finite length Frobenius category.  相似文献

Recollements and tilting objects   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We study connections between recollements of the derived category D(Mod R) of a ring R and tilting theory. We first provide constructions of tilting objects from given recollements, recovering several different results from the literature. Secondly, we show how to construct a recollement from a tilting module of projective dimension one. By Nicolás and Saorín (2009) [31], every recollement of D(Mod R) is associated to a differential graded homological epimorphism λ:RS. We will focus on the case where λ is a homological ring epimorphism or even a universal localization. Our results will be employed in a forthcoming paper in order to investigate stratifications of D(Mod R).  相似文献
