The Frobenius automorphism of the function field allows to define some discrete birational invariants of algebraic manifolds usingp s -th powers of differentials. Examples of algebraic hypersurfaces are sufficient to show the independence of the familiar birational invariants.  相似文献

By virtue of the Belyi Theorem an algebraic curve can be defined over the algebraic numbers if and only if the corresponding Riemann surface can be uniformized by a subgroup of a Fuchsian triangle group. Such surfaces are known as Belyi surfaces and an important class of them consists of Riemann surfaces having the so-called large group of automorphisms. Necessary and sufficient algebraic conditions for these surfaces to be symmetric were found by Singerman in the middle of the seventies and, by a recent result of Köck and Singerman, the algebraic numbers above can be chosen to be real if and only if the respective surface is symmetric. The aim of this paper is to give, in similar terms, the formulas for the number of ovals of the corresponding symmetries, which we refer to as the Singerman symmetries.  相似文献

We give an axiomatic characterization of maps from algebraic K-theory. The results apply to a large class of maps from algebraic K-theory to any suitable cohomology theory or to algebraic K-theory. In particular, we obtain comparison theorems for the Chern character and Chern classes and for the Adams operations and λ-operations on higher algebraic K-theory. We show that the Adams operations and λ-operations defined by Grayson agree with the ones defined by Gillet and Soulé.  相似文献

We examine the conditions for two algebraic function fields over real closed fields to be Witt equivalent. We show that there are only two Witt classes of algebraic function fields with a fixed real closed field of constants: real and non-real ones. The first of them splits further into subclasses corresponding to the tame equivalence. This condition has a natural interpretation in terms of both: orderings (the associated Harrison isomorphism maps 1-pt fans onto 1-pt fans), and geometry and topology of associated real curves (the bijection of points is a homeomorphism and these two curves have the same number of semi-algebraically connected components). Finally, we derive some immediate consequences of those theorems. In particular we describe all the Witt classes of algebraic function fields of genus 0 and 1 over the fixed real closed field. Molodtsov introduced the concept of soft sets, which can be seen as a new mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainty. In this paper, we deal with the algebraic structure of soft sets. The lattice structures of soft sets are constructed. The concept of soft equality is introduced and some related properties are derived. It is proved that soft equality is a congruence relation with respect to some operations and the soft quotient algebra is established.  相似文献

We show that any fat point (local punctual scheme) has at most one embedding in the affine space up to analytic equivalence. If the algebra of functions of the fat point admits a non-trivial grading over the non-negative integers, we prove that it has at most one embedding up to algebraic equivalence. We prove that there is an algebraic S-stack—the Hilbert stack—parameterizing proper algebraic stacks mapping quasi-finitely to X. The main goal of this paper is to give a general algorithm to compute, via computer-algebra systems, an explicit set of generators of the ideals of the projective embeddings of ruled surfaces, i.e. projectivizations of rank two vector bundles over curves, such that the fibers are embedded as smooth rational curves.There are two different applications of our algorithm. Firstly, given a very ample linear system on an abstract ruled surface, our algorithm allows computing the ideal of the embedded surface, all the syzygies, and all the algebraic invariants which are computable from its ideal as, for instance, the k-regularity. Secondly, it is possible to prove the existence of new embeddings of ruled surfaces.The method can be implemented over any computer-algebra system able to deal with commutative algebra and Gröbner-basis computations. An implementation of our algorithms for the computer-algebra system Macaulay2 (cf. [Daniel R. Grayson, Michael E. Stillman, Macaulay 2, a software system for research in algebraic geometry, 1993. We study the interaction between two structures on the group of polynomial automorphisms of the affine plane: its structure as an amalgamated free product and as an infinite-dimensional algebraic variety. We introduce a new conjecture, and show how it implies the Polydegree Conjecture. As the new conjecture is an ideal membership question, this shows that the Polydegree Conjecture is algorithmically decidable. We further describe how this approach provides a unified and shorter method of recovering existing results of Edo and Furter.  相似文献

The common zero locus of a set of multivariate polynomials (with complex coefficients) determines an algebraic set. Any algebraic set can be decomposed into a union of irreducible components. Given a one-dimensional irreducible component, i.e. a curve, it is useful to understand its invariants. The most important invariants of a curve are the degree, the arithmetic genus and the geometric genus (where the geometric genus denotes the genus of a desingularization of the projective closure of the curve). This article presents a numerical algorithm to compute the geometric genus of any one-dimensional irreducible component of an algebraic set.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce broccoli curves, certain plane tropical curves of genus zero related to real algebraic curves. The numbers of these broccoli curves through given points are independent of the chosen points — for arbitrary choices of the directions of the ends of the curves, possibly with higher weights, and also if some of the ends are fixed. In the toric Del Pezzo case we show that these broccoli invariants are equal to the Welschinger invariants (with real and complex conjugate point conditions), thus providing a proof of the independence of Welschinger invariants of the point conditions within tropical geometry. The general case gives rise to a tropical Caporaso–Harris formula for broccoli curves which suffices to compute all Welschinger invariants of the plane.  相似文献

It is well known that the number of unramified normal coverings of an irreducible complex algebraic curve C with a group of covering transformations isomorphic to Z2Z2 is (24g−3⋅22g+2)/6. Assume that C is hyperelliptic, say . Horiouchi has given the explicit algebraic equations of the subset of those covers which turn out to be hyperelliptic themselves.
