By using the Ringel-Hall algebra approach, we investigate the structure of the Lie algebra L(A) generated by indecomposable constructible sets in the varieties of modules for any finite- dimensional C-algebra A. We obtain a geometric realization of the universal enveloping algebra R(A) of L(A), this generalizes the main result of Riedtmann. We also obtain Green's formula in a geometric form for any finite-dimensional C-algebra A and use it to give the comultiplication formula in R(A).  相似文献

Given a directed graph E we describe a method for constructing a Leavitt path algebra LR(E) whose coefficients are in a commutative unital ring R. We prove versions of the Graded Uniqueness Theorem and Cuntz-Krieger Uniqueness Theorem for these Leavitt path algebras, giving proofs that both generalize and simplify the classical results for Leavitt path algebras over fields. We also analyze the ideal structure of LR(E), and we prove that if K is a field, then LK(E)≅KZLZ(E).  相似文献

Let L be a Lie algebra, nilpotent of class 2, over an infinite field K, and suppose that the centre C of L is one dimensional; such Lie algebras are called Heisenberg algebras. Let ρ:L→hom KV be a finite dimensional representation of the Heisenberg algebra L such that ρ(C) contains non-singular linear transformations of V, and denote l(ρ) the ideal of identities for the representation ρ. We prove that the ideals of identities of representations containing I(ρ) and generated by multilinear polynomials satisfy the ACC. Let sl 2(L) be the Lie algebra of the traceless 2×2 matrices over K, and suppose the characteristic of K equals 2. As a corollary we obtain that the ideals of identities of representations of Lie algebras containing that of the regular representation of sl 2(K) and generated by multilinear polynomials, are finitely based. In addition we show that one cannot simply dispense with the condition of multilinearity. Namely, we show that the ACC is violated for the ideals of representations of Lie algebras (over an infinite field of characteristic 2) that contain the identities of the regular representation of sl 2(K).  相似文献

We introduce a new class of algebras, the Nakayama oriented pullbacks, obtained from pullbacks of surjective morphisms of algebras A?C and B?C. We prove that such a pullback is tilted when A and B are hereditary. We also show that stably hereditary algebras respecting the clock condition are Nakayama oriented pullbacks, and we use results about these pullbacks to show when a stably hereditary algebra is tilted or iterated tilted.  相似文献

We characterize the restricted Lie algebras L whose restricted universal enveloping algebra u(L) is Lie metabelian. Moreover, we show that the last condition is equivalent to u(L) being strongly Lie metabelian.Received: 1 October 2004  相似文献

The additive(generalized)ξ-Lie derivations on prime algebras are characterized. It is shown, under some suitable assumptions, that an additive map L is an additive generalized Lie derivation if and only if it is the sum of an additive generalized derivation and an additive map from the algebra into its center vanishing all commutators; is an additive(generalized)ξ-Lie derivation with ξ = 1 if and only if it is an additive(generalized)derivation satisfying L(ξA)= ξL(A)for all A. These results are then used to characterize additive(generalized)ξ-Lie derivations on several operator algebras such as Banach space standard operator algebras and von Neumman algebras.  相似文献

We give necessary and sufficient conditions on a row-finite graph E so that the Leavitt path algebra L(E) is purely infinite simple. This result provides the algebraic analog to the corresponding result for the Cuntz-Krieger C-algebra C(E) given in [T. Bates, D. Pask, I. Raeburn, W. Szymański, The C-algebras of row-finite graphs, New York J. Math. 6 (2000) 307-324].  相似文献

In this paper we study the transitive algebra question by considering the invariant subspace problem relative to von Neumann algebras. We prove that the algebra (not necessarily ∗) generated by a pair of sums of two unitary generators of L(F) and its commutant is strong-operator dense in B(H). The relations between the transitive algebra question and the invariant subspace problem relative to some von Neumann algebras are discussed.  相似文献

Let K be a field, X = {x1, . . . , xn}, and let L(X) be the free Lie algebra over K with the set X of free generators. A. G. Kurosh proved that subalgebras of free nonassociative algebras are free, A. I. Shirshov proved that subalgebras of free Lie algebras are free. A subset M of nonzero elements of the free Lie algebra L(X) is said to be primitive if there is a set Y of free generators of L(X), L(X) = L(Y ), such that M ? Y (in this case we have |Y | = |X| = n). Matrix criteria for a subset of elements of free Lie algebras to be primitive and algorithms to construct complements of primitive subsets of elements with respect to sets of free generators have been constructed. A nonzero element u of the free Lie algebra L(X) is said to be almost primitive if u is not a primitive element of the algebra L(X), but u is a primitive element of any proper subalgebra of L(X) that contains it. A series of almost primitive elements of free Lie algebras has been constructed. In this paper, for free Lie algebras of rank 2 criteria for homogeneous elements to be almost primitive are obtained and algorithms to recognize homogeneous almost primitive elements are constructed.  相似文献

In the paper, some properties of algebras of associative type are studied, and these properties are then used to describe the structure of finite-dimensional semisimple modular Lie algebras. It is proved that the homogeneous radical of any finite-dimensional algebra of associative type coincides with the kernel of some form induced by the trace function with values in a polynomial ring. This fact is used to show that every finite-dimensional semisimple algebra of associative type A = ⊕ αεG A α graded by some group G, over a field of characteristic zero, has a nonzero component A 1 (where 1 stands for the identity element of G), and A 1 is a semisimple associative algebra. Let B = ⊕ αεG B α be a finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebra over a prime field F p , and let B be graded by a commutative group G. If B = F p ? ? A L , where A L is the commutator algebra of a ?-algebra A = ⊕ αεG A α ; if ? ? ? A is an algebra of associative type, then the 1-component of the algebra K ? ? B, where K stands for the algebraic closure of the field F p , is the sum of some algebras of the form gl(n i ,K).  相似文献

With H a complex Hilbert space we study regular abelian Banach subalgebras of the Banach algebra of bounded linear maps of B(H) into itself. If a ? b denotes the map xaxb, a, b, x ? B(H), it is shown that normalized positive maps in algebras of the form A ? A with A an abelian C1-algebra, can be described by a generalized Bochner theorem.  相似文献

This paper reviews some recent results on the parafermion vertex operator algebra associated to the integrable highest weight module L(k, 0) of positive integer level k for any affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra ĝ, where g is a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra. In particular, the generators and the C 2-cofiniteness of the parafermion vertex operator algebras are discussed. A proof of the well-known fact that the parafermion vertex operator algebra can be realized as the commutant of a lattice vertex operator algebra in L(k, 0) is also given.  相似文献

Cohomologies of Lie algebras are usually calculated using the Chevalley-Eilenberg cochain complex of skew-symmetric forms. We consider two cochain complexes consisting of forms with some symmetric properties. First, cochains C*(L) are symmetric in the last 2 arguments, skew-symmetric in the others and satify moreover some kind of Jacobi condition in the last 3 arguments. In characteristic 0, its cohomologies are isomorphic to the cohomologies of the factor-complex C*(L,L’)/C*+1(L,K). Second, a symmetric version Cλ*(A) is defined for an associative algebra A. It is a subcomplex of the cyclic cochain complex. These symmetric cochain complexes are used for the calculation of 3-cohomologies of Cartan Type Lie algebras with trivial coefficients.  相似文献

Let W be an associative PI-algebra over a field F of characteristic zero, graded by a finite group G. Let idG(W) denote the T-ideal of G-graded identities of W. We prove: 1. [G-graded PI-equivalence] There exists a field extension K of F and a finite-dimensional Z/2Z×G-graded algebra A over K such that idG(W)=idG(A) where A is the Grassmann envelope of A. 2. [G-graded Specht problem] The T-ideal idG(W) is finitely generated as a T-ideal. 3. [G-graded PI-equivalence for affine algebras] Let W be a G-graded affine algebra over F. Then there exists a field extension K of F and a finite-dimensional algebra A over K such that idG(W)=idG(A).  相似文献

This article is to study relations between tubular algebras of Ringel and elliptic Lie algebras in the sense of Saito-Yoshii. Using the explicit structure of the derived categories of tubular algebras given by Happel-Ringel, we prove that the elliptic Lie algebra of type , , or is isomorphic to the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra of the root category of the tubular algebra with the same type. As a by-product of our proof, we obtain a Chevalley basis of the elliptic Lie algebra following indecomposable objects of the root category of the corresponding tubular algebra. This can be viewed as an analogue of the Frenkel-Malkin-Vybornov theorem in which they described a Chevalley basis for each untwisted affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra by using indecomposable representations of the corresponding affine quiver.  相似文献

Let L be an n-dimensional non-abelian nilpotent Lie algebra and $ s(L) = \frac{1} {2}(n - 1)(n - 2) + 1 - \dim M(L) $ s(L) = \frac{1} {2}(n - 1)(n - 2) + 1 - \dim M(L) where M(L) is the Schur multiplier of L. In [Niroomand P., Russo F., A note on the Schur multiplier of a nilpotent Lie algebra, Comm. Algebra (in press)] it has been shown that s(L) ≥ 0 and the structure of all nilpotent Lie algebras has been determined when s(L) = 0. In the present paper, we will characterize all finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras with s(L) = 1; 2.  相似文献

The structure of Schur algebrasS(2,r) over the integral domainZ is intensively studied from the quasi-hereditary algebra point of view. We introduce certain new bases forS(2,r) and show that the Schur algebraS(2,r) modulo any ideal in the defining sequence is still such a Schur algebra of lower degree inr. A Wedderburn-Artin decomposition ofS K (2,r) over a fieldK of characteristic 0 is described. Finally, we investigate the extension groups between two Weyl modules and classify the indecomposable Weyl-filtered modules for the Schur algebrasS Zp(2,r) withr<p 2 . Let L be a restricted Lie algebra. The symmetric algebra Sp(L) of the restricted enveloping algebra u(L) has the structure of a Poisson algebra. We give necessary and sufficient conditions on L in order for the symmetric algebra Sp(L) to satisfy a multilinear Poisson identity. We also settle the same problem for the symmetric algebra S(L) of a Lie algebra L over an arbitrary field. The first author was partially supported by MIUR of Italy. For each even lattice \({\mathcal L}\), there is a canonical way to construct an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra via lattice vertex operator algebra theory, we call this Lie algebra and its subalgebras the Borcherds type Lie algebras associated to \({\mathcal L}\). In this paper, we apply this construction to even lattices arising from representation theory of finite-dimensional associative algebras. This is motivated by the different realizations of Kac-Moody algebras by Borcherds using lattice vertex operators and by Peng-Xiao using Ringel-Hall algebras respectively. For any finite-dimensional algebra \(A\) of finite global dimension, we associate a Borcherds type Lie algebra \(\mathfrak {BL}(A)\) to \(A\). In contrast to the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra approach, \(\mathfrak {BL}(A)\) only depends on the symmetric Euler form or Tits form but not the full representation theory of \(A\). However, our results show that for certain classes of finite-dimensional algebras whose representation theory is ’controlled’ by the Euler bilinear forms or Tits forms, their Borcherds type Lie algebras do have close relations with the representation theory of these algebras. Beyond the class of hereditary algebras, these algebras include canonical algebras, representation-directed algebras and incidence algebras of finite prinjective types.  相似文献
