不同基体刚性偶氮化合物光致光学各向异性及其唯象模拟   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1

在不同刚性的聚合物基体聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)、聚乙烯咔唑(PVK)和聚苯乙烯(PS)薄膜基体中掺入相同质量分数(均为0.003)的分散红13(DRl3)偶氮染料。以线偏振连续Ar^+激光(514nm)作为控制光,连续He-Ne激光(632.8nm)作为信号光考察了具有相同厚度的三种样品在相同控制光功率(15mW)下的光致双折射效应。实验发现刚性较大的聚乙烯咔唑基体样品的双折射效应最小,刚性最小的聚苯乙烯基体样品的双折射效应最大。在偶氮生色团光致异构的四能级模型基础上,建立一新的唯象的模型。在模型中引入描述聚合物基体刚性的参量s,通过数值计算描述了不同基体刚性参量s对偶氮生色团光致异构取向的影响。计算结果表明,基体的刚性越大,样品的光致双折射效应越小,定性地解释了实验现象。  相似文献

光开关是光通信、光计算机、光信息处理等领域的重要光学元件。利用半导体激光(473nm)作为泵浦光,He-Ne激光(632.8nm)作为探测光,实验研究了偶氮染料掺杂PVA薄膜材料光致双折射效应信号的生长、擦除、衰减特性,分析了泵浦光偏振方向与探测光偏振方向夹角、泵浦光功率对光致双折射效应和全光开关特性的影响,探讨了该材料在光开关方面的应用前景。  相似文献

研究了2种偶氮聚合物薄膜的光致双折射效应,并探讨了泵浦光偏振态和光强对光致双折射的影响.采用远离共振区的He-Ne光(633nm)作为探测光,用Ar+激光(488nm)作为泵浦光,通过测量相关参量得到了样品的光致双折射值.实验结果表明:改变泵浦光的偏振态可以控制光致双折射值和探测光的透过信号强度,在0°~45°范围内,泵浦光光强存在最佳值,此时偶氮薄膜实验样品具有最大的双折射值.  相似文献

基于双光抽运探测模型,利用偶氮苯聚合物光致异构和光致双折射效应,建立了全光逻辑门的理论分析模型,提出了一种新颖的全光逻辑门设计方案.该方案基于输入抽运光和信号光的强度或偏振态,设计了“与”门、“或”门、“异或”门和“异或非”门等基本功能的全光逻辑门.以掺杂分散红1(DR1)的聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)薄膜为样品进行实验,得到了比较好的逻辑门运算实验结果,与理论分析相符合.  相似文献

采用抽运探测方法测量了一种新型的含 4 偶氮苯 4′ 偶氮苯酚侧链的共聚物 (DAP PGMA)的光致异构特性。实验结果表明DAP PGMA比含单偶氮苯侧链共聚物P (MMA co MAZ)有较大的光致双折射效应 ,Δn~ 6 .6 0× 10 -4 ;同时DAP PGMA比P(MMA co MAZ)具有更快的开启速度 ,光致向向异性上升时间为 40 ps,这种皮秒量级的快过程对应于双偶氮苯生色团的顺反异构过程。  相似文献

在不同温度下,分别测量了掺杂偶氮材料、偶氮聚合物和偶氮液晶聚合物的光致双折射行为,并利用双e指数模型对光致双折射的动力学过程进行了拟合.实验结果表明,偶氮材料的光致双折射源于偶氮分子的光致异构和光致分子取向,光致双折射大小随温度的升高表现出先增大后减小的趋势.在抽运光的作用下,含偶氮材料的光致双折射包含一个由偶氮分子取向引起的快过程和一个由偶氮分子带动大分子取向引起的慢过程.关闭抽运光后,掺杂偶氮材料和偶氮聚合物表现为可逆的弛豫,而偶氮液晶聚合物则展现出长久光存储特性.  相似文献

用数值方法研究了在具有光致异构非线性的聚合物中光学空间孤子的垂直全光调控.结果表明,对于调控光和信号光是相干的情况,被调控的信号光会产生散射甚至坍塌、微偏转等现象,其作用强弱依赖于两束光的初始相位之差、调控光光强、调控光入射位置等.这种垂直全光调控效应有望应用于全光开光、光集成等方面. 关键词: 光折变空间孤子 孤子相互作用 垂直调控 光致异构  相似文献

Volume polarization holographic recording in phenanthrenequinone-doped poly (methyl methacrylate) photopolymer is obtained. Photoinduced birefringence in a 2 mm thick sample is measured by a phase-modulated ellipsometry. The birefringence induced in this material by linearly polarized beam at 514 nm reaches 1.2×10(-5). In addition, ability for recording volume polarization grating using two different polarization configurations is demonstrated and compared. The experimental results show that the diffraction efficiency of the hologram reaches to ~40% by using two orthogonal circularly polarized beams.  相似文献

The photodegradation of the azobenzene chromophore DR1 {4-[N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]-4(?)-nitroazobenzene]} incorporated as a side chain or as a guest in a poly(methyl) methacrylate host has been evaluated as a function of wavelength, temperature, and the atmospheric environment. The self-induced rotation of the azimuth of elliptically polarized light passing through birefringent azopolymer thin films is investigated. The experiments were carried out on thin films of the amorphous p(DR1M-co-MMA) and p(DR1M) azopolymer samples and of the p(6MAN) derivative in its glassy and liquid-crystalline phases. In fact, using various controlled input light ellipticities, linear birefringence (LB) and/or circular birefringence (CB) measurements were performed separately and in conjunction with polarization analyses of the transmitted pump beam. According to a general theoretical analysis based on Jones’ matrix formalism, it is thus shown that the induced rotation angle through the films depends mainly on the ellipticity of the input light, on the generated LB level and, to a lesser extent, on the CB photoinduced in the liquid-crystalline phase. In the latter case, it is concluded that irradiation with circularly polarized light does induce a chiral arrangement in the polymer film, although the photosensitive chromophores do not contain any optically active group. A copolymer containing bisazobenzene chromophores, poly[(methylmethacrylate)-co-4-{(2-methacryloyloxyethyl)oxy}-4′-(4-nitro-phenylazo)azobenzene)] (poly(MMA-co-M2BAN)), was synthesized and used for two-photon-induced polarization storage. Based on two-photon-induced optical anisotropy resulting from photoselective isomerization of bisazochromophores, the data have been recorded by linearly polarized Ti:Sapphire laser (wavelength: 800 nm, pulse duration: 80 fs, and repetition rate: 80 MHz) and read by reflection confocal laser scanning microscope. The recorded bits are dark dots when the polarization of the reading beam is parallel to the recording beam, but the recorded bits become bright dots when the polarization of the reading beam is perpendicular to the recording beam. Two letters can be encoded in the same region of a given layer by separating the two polarization directions of recording beams at an angle of 45°. The relationships between the readout intensity of the recorded bits and the recording power under two different readout modes were investigated and the results showed that there are two opposite change trends for parallel readout and perpendicular readout, respectively, and the readout threshold value is around 12 mW.  相似文献

A method for improving the quality of all-optical switching is presented. Pumping poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) films doped with azobenzene chromophore Disperse Red 1 (DR1) with two beams (a linearly and a circularly polarized), all-optical switching effects with very low background and high stability are demonstrated. High frequency switching, which is hard to be realized under pump of a single beam, is obtained. The circularly polarized pump beam can erase the photoinduced birefringence and quicken the relaxation process, thus lowering the background and improving the stability and the extinction ratio of the switching signal. 采用双积分球系统和光辐射测量技术的基本原理以及运用生物组织的光学模型,研究了4765,488,4965,5145,532nm激光及其线偏振激光辐照人膀胱癌组织的光衰减特性。结果表明在5个不同的激光波长范围内,KubelkaMunktwoflux模型下的人膀胱癌组织对不同波长的激光及线偏振激光的衰减特性是不同的,人膀胱癌组织对4765,4965,532nm激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数或有效衰减系数均具有显著性差异(P<005),而对488,5145nm波长的激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数或有效衰减系数则均没有显著性差异(P>005),人膀胱癌组织对532nm激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数或有效衰减系数均明显大于其他4个波长的Ar 激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数或有效衰减系数。在传输理论下人膀胱癌组织对5个不同波长的激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数均随着波长的增大而减小,人膀胱癌组织对4765,4965,5145nm波长的激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数均有显著性差异(P<005),其对488,532nm波长的激光及其线偏振激光的总衰减系数均没有显著性差异(P>005)。  相似文献

The optical anisotropic states in the azo-dye Disperse Red 13 doped poly(methyl methacrylate) polymeric film are induced by polarized light and the nonlinear refractive index in these states are studied by the Z-scan technique. It is found that the n2 of the sample can be controlled by changing both the polarization direction and the intensity of the 514 nm light. Photo-induced isomerization and reorientation of azo chromophores in polymer matrices are used to explain the results.  相似文献

The mode splitting induced by electro-optic birefringence in a P-I-N InGaAs/GaAs/A1GaAs vertical-cavity surface- emitting laser (VCSEL) has been studied by polarized electroluminescence (EL) at room temperature. The polarized EL spectra with E||[110] and E || [150] directions, are extracted for different injected currents. The mode splitting of the two orthogonal polarized modes for a VCSEL device is determined, and its value increases linearly with the increasing injected current due to electro-optic birefringence; This article demonstrates that the polarized EL is a powerful tool to study the mode splitting and polarization anisotropy of a VCSEL device.  相似文献
