Let \(\bar{p}(n)\) denote the number of overpartitions of n. Fortin et al. and Hirschhorn and Sellers established some congruences modulo powers of 2 for \(\bar{p}(n)\). Recently, Xia and Yao found several congruences modulo powers of 2 and 3. In particular, they proved that \(\bar{p}(96n+12)\equiv 0 \ (\mathrm{mod}\ 9)\) and \(\bar{p}(24n+19)\equiv 0\ (\mathrm{mod\ }27)\). In this paper, we generalize the two congruences and establish several new infinite families of congruences modulo 9 and 27 for \(\bar{p}(n)\). Furthermore, we prove some strange congruences modulo 9 and 27 for \(\bar{p}(n)\) by employing some results due to Cooper et al. For example, we prove that for \(k\ge 0\), \(\bar{p}(4^{k+1})\equiv 2^{k+3}+6(-1)^k\ (\mathrm{mod} \ 27) \) and \(\bar{p}\left( 7^{2k}\right) \equiv 2-2k\ (\mathrm{mod}\ 9)\). We also present two conjectures on congruences for \(\bar{p}(n)\).  相似文献

Let \(b_{\ell }(n)\) denote the number of \(\ell \)-regular partitions of n. By employing the modular equation of seventh order, we establish the following congruence for \(b_{7}(n)\) modulo powers of 7: for \(n\ge 0\) and \(j\ge 1\),
$$\begin{aligned} b_{7}\left( 7^{2j-1}n+\frac{3\cdot 7^{2j}-1}{4}\right) \equiv 0 \pmod {7^j}. \end{aligned}$$
We also find some infinite families of congruences modulo 2 and 7 satisfied by \(b_{7}(n)\).

Let \(a_{\ell ,m}(n)\) denote the number of \((\ell ,m)\)-regular partitions of a positive integer n into distinct parts, where \(\ell \) and m are relatively primes. In this paper, we establish several infinite families of congruences modulo 2 for \(a_{3,5}(n)\). For example,
$$\begin{aligned} a_{3, 5}\left(2^{6\alpha +4}5^{2\beta }n+\frac{ 2^{6\alpha +3}5^{2\beta +1}-1}{3}\right) \equiv 0 , \end{aligned}$$
where \(\alpha , \beta \ge 0\).

In a recent paper, Andrews, Dixit, and Yee introduced a new spt-type function \({\mathrm {spt}}_{\omega }(n)\), which is closely related to Ramanujan’s third-order mock theta function \(\omega (q)\). Garvan and Jennings-Shaffer introduced a crank function which explains congruences for \({\mathrm {spt}}_{\omega }(n)\). In this article, we study the asymptotic behavior of this crank function and confirm a positivity conjecture of the crank asymptotically. We also study a sign pattern of the crank and congruences for \({\mathrm {spt}}_{\omega }(n)\).  相似文献

In this note we investigate the function \(B_{k,\ell }(n)\), which counts the number of \((k,\ell )\)-regular bipartitions of n. We shall prove an infinite family of congruences modulo 11: for \(\alpha \ge 2\) and \(n\ge 0\),
$$\begin{aligned} B_{3,11}\left( 3^{\alpha }n+\frac{5\cdot 3^{\alpha -1}-1}{2}\right) \equiv 0\ (\mathrm{mod\ }11). \end{aligned}$$

We consider Galton–Watson trees with Geom\((p)\) offspring distribution. We let \(T_{\infty }(p)\) denote such a tree conditioned on being infinite. We prove that for any \(1/2\le p_1 <p_2 \le 1\), there exists a coupling between \(T_{\infty }(p_1)\) and \(T_{\infty }(p_2)\) such that \({\mathbb {P}}(T_{\infty }(p_1) \subseteq T_{\infty }(p_2))=1\).  相似文献

Let \(\overline{p}(n)\) denote the number of overpartitions of n. Recently, congruences modulo powers of 2 for \(\overline{p}(n)\) were widely studied. In this paper, we prove several new infinite families of congruences modulo powers of 2 for \(\overline{p}(n)\). For example, for \(\alpha \ge 1\) and \(n\ge 0\),
$$\begin{aligned} \overline{p}(8\cdot 3^{4\alpha +4}n+5\cdot 3^{4\alpha +3})\equiv 0 \quad (\mathrm{mod}\,\,{2^8}). \end{aligned}$$

Let \(B_\ell (n)\) denote the number of \(\ell \)-regular bipartitions of n. In this paper, we prove several infinite families of congruences satisfied by \(B_\ell (n)\) for \(\ell \in {\{5,7,13\}}\). For example, we show that for all \(\alpha >0\) and \(n\ge 0\),
$$\begin{aligned} B_5\left( 4^\alpha n+\frac{5\times 4^\alpha -2}{6}\right)\equiv & {} 0 \ (\text {mod}\ 5),\\ B_7\left( 5^{8\alpha }n+\displaystyle \frac{5^{8\alpha }-1}{2}\right)\equiv & {} 3^\alpha B_7(n)\ (\text {mod}\ 7) \end{aligned}$$

We investigate the weighted bounds for multilinear maximal functions and Calderón–Zygmund operators from \(L^{p_1}(w_1)\times \cdots \times L^{p_m}(w_m)\) to \(L^{p}(v_{\vec {w}})\), where \(1<p_1,\cdots ,p_m<\infty \) with \(1/{p_1}+\cdots +1/{p_m}=1/p\) and \(\vec {w}\) is a multiple \(A_{\vec {P}}\) weight. We prove the sharp bound for the multilinear maximal function for all such \(p_1,\ldots , p_m\) and prove the sharp bound for \(m\)-linear Calderón–Zymund operators when \(p\ge 1\).  相似文献

Let \(b_{5}(n)\) denote the number of 5-regular partitions of n. We find the generating functions of \(b_{5}(An+B)\) for some special pairs of integers (AB). Moreover, we obtain infinite families of congruences for \(b_{5}(n)\) modulo powers of 5. For example, for any integers \(k\ge 1\) and \(n\ge 0\), we prove that
$$\begin{aligned} b_{5}\left( 5^{2k-1}n+\frac{5^{2k}-1}{6}\right) \equiv 0 \quad (\mathrm{mod}\, 5^{k}) \end{aligned}$$
and
$$\begin{aligned} b_{5}\left( 5^{2k}n+\frac{5^{2k}-1}{6}\right) \equiv 0 \quad (\mathrm{mod}\, 5^{k}). \end{aligned}$$

Let \(B_{5}(n)\) denote the number of 5-regular bipartitions of n. We establish some Ramanujan-type congruences like \(B_{5}(4n+3) \equiv 0\) (mod 5) and many infinite families of congruences for \(B_{5}(n)\) modulo higher powers of 5 such as
$$\begin{aligned} B_{5}\left( 5^{2k-1}n+\frac{2\cdot 5^{2k-1}-1}{3}\right) \equiv 0 \pmod {5^k}. \end{aligned}$$
We also apply the same method to obtain some similar results for another type of bipartition function. Meanwhile, we give a new interesting interlinked q-series identity related with Rogers–Ramanujan continued fraction, which answers a question of M. Hirschhorn.

Let \(\bar{p}(n)\) denote the number of overpartitions of \(n\). Recently, Fortin–Jacob–Mathieu and Hirschhorn–Sellers independently obtained 2-, 3- and 4-dissections of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) and derived a number of congruences for \(\bar{p}(n)\) modulo 4, 8 and 64 including \(\bar{p}(8n+7)\equiv 0 \pmod {64}\) for \(n\ge 0\). In this paper, we give a 16-dissection of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) modulo 16 and show that \(\bar{p}(16n+14)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\) for \(n\ge 0\). Moreover, using the \(2\)-adic expansion of the generating function for \(\bar{p}(n)\) according to Mahlburg, we obtain that \(\bar{p}(\ell ^2n+r\ell )\equiv 0\pmod {16}\), where \(n\ge 0\), \(\ell \equiv -1\pmod {8}\) is an odd prime and \(r\) is a positive integer with \(\ell \not \mid r\). In particular, for \(\ell =7\) and \(n\ge 0\), we get \(\bar{p}(49n+7)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\) and \(\bar{p}(49n+14)\equiv 0\pmod {16}\). We also find four congruence relations: \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n) \pmod {16}\) for \(n\ge 0\), \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {32}\) where \(n\) is not a square of an odd positive integer, \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {64}\) for \(n\not \equiv 1,2,5\pmod {8}\) and \(\bar{p}(4n)\equiv (-1)^n\bar{p}(n)\pmod {128}\) for \(n\equiv 0\pmod {4}\).  相似文献

For a vector \(\mathbf a = (a_1,\ldots ,a_r)\) of positive integers, we prove formulas for the restricted partition function \(p_{\mathbf a}(n): = \) the number of integer solutions \((x_1,\dots ,x_r)\) to \(\sum _{j=1}^r a_jx_j=n\) with \(x_1\ge 0, \ldots , x_r\ge 0\) and its polynomial part.  相似文献

In most classical holomorphic function spaces on the unit disk in which the polynomials are dense, a function f can be approximated in norm by its dilates \(f_r(z):=f(rz)~(r<1)\). We show that this is not the case for the de Branges–Rovnyak spaces \(\mathcal{H}(b)\). More precisely, we exhibit a space \(\mathcal{H}(b)\) in which the polynomials are dense and a function \(f\in \mathcal{H}(b)\) such that \(\lim _{r\rightarrow 1^-}\Vert f_r\Vert _{\mathcal{H}(b)}=\infty \). On the positive side, we prove the following approximation theorem for Toeplitz operators on general de Branges–Rovnyak spaces \(\mathcal{H}(b)\). If \((h_n)\) is a sequence in \(H^\infty \) such that \(\Vert h_n\Vert _{H^\infty }\le 1\) and \(h_n(0)\rightarrow 1\), then \(\Vert T_{\overline{h}_n}f-f\Vert _{\mathcal{H}(b)}\rightarrow 0\) for all \(f\in \mathcal{H}(b)\). Using this result, we give the first constructive proof that, if b is a nonextreme point of the unit ball of \(H^\infty \), then the polynomials are dense in \(\mathcal{H}(b)\).  相似文献

In this note, we establish two identities of \((q;\,q)_\infty ^8\) by using Jacobi’s four-square theorem and two of Ramanujan’s identities. As an important consequence, we present one Ramanujan-style proof of the congruence \(p_{-3}(11n+7)\equiv 0\ (\mathrm{mod\ }11)\), where \(p_{-3}(n)\) denotes the number of 3-color partitions of n.  相似文献

Let p_3(n) be the number of overpartition triples of n. By elementary series manipulations,we establish some congruences for p_3(n) modulo small powers of 2, such as p_3(16 n + 14) ≡ 0(mod 32), p_3(8 n + 7) ≡ 0(mod 64).We also find many arithmetic properties for p_3(n) modulo 7, 9 and 11, involving the following infinite families of Ramanujan-type congruences: for any integers α≥ 1 and n ≥ 0, we have p_3 (3~(2α+1)(3n + 2))≡ 0(mod 9 · 2~4), p_3(4~(α-1)(56 n + 49)) ≡ 0(mod 7),p_3 (7~(2α+1)(7 n + 3))≡ p_3 (7~(2α+1)(7 n + 5))≡ p_3 (7~(2α+1)(7 n + 6))≡ 0(mod 7),and for r ∈ {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6},p_3(11 · 7~(4α-1)(7 n + r)≡ 0(mod 11).  相似文献

Given a sequence of random functionals \(\bigl \{X_k(u)\bigr \}_{k \in \mathbb {Z}}\), \(u \in \mathbf{I}^d\), \(d \ge 1\), the normalized partial sums \(\check{S}_{nt}(u) = n^{-1/2}\bigl (X_1(u) + \cdots + X_{\lfloor n t \rfloor }(u)\bigr )\), \(t \in [0,1]\) and its polygonal version \({S}_{nt}(u)\) are considered under a weak dependence assumption and \(p > 2\) moments. Weak invariance principles in the space of continuous functions and càdlàg functions are established. A particular emphasis is put on the process \(\check{S}_{nt}(\widehat{\theta })\), where \(\widehat{\theta } \xrightarrow {\mathbb {P}} \theta \), and weaker moment conditions (\(p = 2\) if \(d = 1\)) are assumed.  相似文献

For a non-negative integer \(n\), let \(E_n\) be the \(n\) th Euler number. In this note, for any positive integer \(n\), we prove the following congruences:
$$\begin{aligned} {\left\{ \begin{array}{ll} E_{4n} \equiv 380n-375 \pmod {10^3}, \\ E_{4n+2} \equiv -460n+399 \pmod {10^3}. \end{array}\right. } \end{aligned}$$
Our proof is based on induction on \(n\) and elementary direct calculations.
