We study an integrable, nondegenerate codimension 3-subbundle ${\mathcal{D}}We study an integrable, nondegenerate codimension 3-subbundle on a (4n + 3)-manifold M whose fiber supports the structure of 4n-dimensional quaternionic vector space. It is thought of as a generalization of quaternionic CR structure. We single out an -valued 1-form ω locally on a neighborhood U such that and construct the curvature invariant on (M, ω) whose vanishing gives a uniformization to flat quaternionic CR geometry. The invariant obtained on M has the same formula as that of pseudo-quaternionic K?hler 4n-manifolds. From this viewpoint, we exhibit a quaternionic analogue of Chern-Moser’s CR structure. By constructing normal coordinates on a quaternionic contact manifold M, we can osculate the quaternionic contact structure at each point by the standard quaternionic contact structure on the quaternionic Heisenberg group. By using this property, we can do harmonic analysis on general quaternionic contact manifolds, and solve the quaternionic contact Yamabe problem on M if its Yamabe invariant satisfies λ(M) < λ( n ). In this paper, an ω-convergence theory of filters in an -space is established. By means of the ω-convergence theory, some important characterizations with respective to the ω-closed sets, ω T 2 separation and (ω 1, ω 2)-continuous mappings are obtained. Moreover, the mutual relationships among ω-convergence of molecular nets, ω-convergence of ideals and ω-convergence of filters are given.  相似文献

The hyperoperations, called theta-operations (δ), are motivated from the usual property, which the derivative has on the derivation of a product of functions. Using any map on a set, one can define δ-operations. In this paper, we continue our study on the δ-operations on groupoids, rings, fields and vector spaces or on the corresponding hyperstructures. Using δ-operations one obtains, mainly, Hwstructures, which form the largest class of the hyperstructures. For representation theory of hyperstructures, by hypermatrices, one needs special Hv-rings or Hy-fields, so these hyperstructures can be used. Moreover, we study the relation of these δ-structures with other classes of hyperstructures, especially with the Hv-structures.  相似文献

This paper studies the question of when a loop φ={φ t }0≤ t ≤1 in the group Symp(M,ω) of symplectomorphisms of a symplectic manifold (M,ω) is isotopic to a loop that is generated by a time-dependent Hamiltonian function. (Loops with this property are said to be Hamiltonian.) Our main result is that Hamiltonian loops are rigid in the following sense: if φ is Hamiltonian with respect to ω, and if φ′ is a small perturbation of φ that preserves another symplectic form ω′, then φ′ is Hamiltonian with respect to ω′. This allows us to get some new information on the structure of the flux group, i.e. the image of π1(Symp(M,ω)) under the flux homomorphism. We give a complete proof of our result for some manifolds, and sketch the proof in general. The argument uses methods developed by Seidel for studying properties of Hamiltonian loops via the quantum homology of M. Oblatum 31-X-1997 & 20-III-1998 / Published online: 14 October 1998  相似文献

Lascar described E KP as a composition of E L and the topological closure of E L (Casanovas et al. in J Math Log 1(2):305–319). We generalize this result to some other pairs of equivalence relations. Motivated by an attempt to construct a new example of a non-G-compact theory, we consider the following example. Assume G is a group definable in a structure M. We define a structure M′ consisting of M and X as two sorts, where X is an affine copy of G and in M′ we have the structure of M and the action of G on X. We prove that the Lascar group of M′ is a semi-direct product of the Lascar group of M and G/G L . We discuss the relationship between G-compactness of M and M′. This example may yield new examples of non-G-compact theories. The first author is supported by the Polish Goverment grant N N201 384134. A closed topological n-manifold M n is of S 1-category 2 if it can be covered by two open subsets W 1,W 2 such that the inclusions W i M n factor homotopically through maps W i S 1M n . We show that the fundamental group of such an n-manifold is a cyclic group or a free product of two cyclic groups with nontrivial amalgamation. In particular, if n = 3, the fundamental group is cyclic.   相似文献

We study some remarkable classes of metric f-structures on differentiable manifolds (namely, almost Hermitian, almost contact, almost S-structures and K-structures). We state and prove the necessary condition(s) for the existence of maps commuting such structures. The paper contains several new results, of geometric significance, on CR-integrable manifolds and the harmonicity of such maps.  相似文献

In this paper, we shall define the renormalization of the multiple q-zeta values (MqZV) which are special values of multiple q-zeta functions ζq (s1,..., Sd) when the arguments are all positive integers or all non-positive integers. This generalizes the work of Guo and Zhang (Renormalization of Multiple Zeta Values, arxiv: math/0606076v3). We show that our renormalization process produces the same values if the MqZVs are well-defined originally and that these renormalizations of MqZV satisfy the q-stuffle relations if we use shifted-renormalizations for all divergent ζq(S1,..., sd) (i.e., s1 ≤ 1). Moreover, when q ↑ 1 our renormalizations agree with those of Guo and Zhang.  相似文献

We show that a non-Sasakian contact metric manifold with η-parallel torsion tensor and sectional curvatures of plane sections containing the Reeb vector field different from 1 at some point, is a (kμ)-contact manifold. In particular for the standard contact metric structure of the tangent sphere bundle the torsion tensor is η-parallel if and only if M is of constant curvature, in which case its associated pseudo-Hermitian structure is CR- integrable. Next we show that if the metric of a non-Sasakian (k, μ)-contact manifold (M, g) is a gradient Ricci soliton, then (M, g) is locally flat in dimension 3, and locally isometric to E n+1 × S n (4) in higher dimensions.   相似文献

We study the spectral properties of a large class of compact flat Riemannian manifolds of dimension 4, namely, those whose corresponding Bieberbach groups have the canonical lattice as translation lattice. By using the explicit expression of the heat trace of the Laplacian acting on p-forms, we determine all p-isospectral and L-isospectral pairs and we show that in this class of manifolds, isospectrality on functions and isospectrality on p-forms for all values of p are equivalent to each other. The list shows for any p, 1 ≤ p ≤ 3, many p-isospectral pairs that are not isospectral on functions and have different lengths of closed geodesics. We also determine all length isospectral pairs (i.e. with the same length multiplicities), showing that there are two weak length isospectral pairs that are not length isospectral, and many pairs, p-isospectral for all p and not length isospectral. We investigate a new 8-dimensional Riemannian geometry defined by a generic closed and coclosed 3-form with stabiliser PSU(3), and which arises as a critical point of Hitchin's variational principle. We give a Riemannian characterisation of this structure in terms of invariant spinor-valued 1-forms, which are harmonic with respect to the twisted Dirac operator ? on ΔΛ1. We establish various obstructions to the existence of topological reductions to PSU(3). For compact manifolds, we also give sufficient conditions for topological PSU(3)-structures that can be lifted to topological SU(3)-structures. We also construct the first known compact example of an integrable non-symmetric PSU(3)-structure. In the same vein, we give a new Riemannian characterisation for topological quaternionic Kähler structures which are defined by an Sp(1)⋅Sp(2)-invariant self-dual 4-form. Again, we show that this form is closed if and only if the corresponding spinor-valued 1-form is harmonic for ? and that these equivalent conditions produce constraints on the Ricci tensor.  相似文献

A new lower bound for the number of fixed points of Hamiltonian automorphisms of closed symplectic manifolds (M,ω) is established. The new estimate extends the previously known estimates to the class of weakly monotone symplectic manifolds. We prove for arbitrary closed symplectic manifolds with rational symplectic class that the cup-length estimate holds true if the Hofer energy of the Hamiltonian automorphism is sufficiently small. For arbitrary energy and on weakly monotone symplectic manifolds we define an analogon to the cup-length based on the quantum cohomology ring of (M,ω) providing a quantum cup-length estimate. The so-called weakly d-Koszul-type module is introduced and it turns out that each weakly d-Koszul-type module contains a d-Koszul-type submodule. It is proved that, M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if M admits a filtration of submodules: 0 belong to U0 belong to U1 belong to ... belong to Up = M such that all Ui/Ui-1 are d-Koszul-type modules, from which we obtain that the finitistic dimension conjecture holds in W H J^d(A) in a special case. Let M ∈ W H J^d(A). It is proved that the Koszul dual E(M) is Noetherian, Hopfian, of finite dimension in special cases, and E(M) ∈ gr0(E(A)). In particular, we show that M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if E(G(M)) ∈ gr0(E(A)), where G is the associated graded functor.  相似文献

The Evens-Lu-Weinstein representation (Q A , D) for a Lie algebroid A on a manifold M is studied in the transitive case. To consider at the same time non-oriented manifolds as well, this representation is slightly modified to (Q A or , Dor) by tensoring by orientation flat line bundle, Q A or =QAor (M) and D or=D⊗∂ A or . It is shown that the induced cohomology pairing is nondegenerate and that the representation (Q A or , Dor) is the unique (up to isomorphy) line representation for which the top group of compactly supported cohomology is nontrivial. In the case of trivial Lie algebroid A=TM the theorem reduce to the following: the orientation flat bundle (or (M), ∂ A or ) is the unique (up to isomorphy) flat line bundle (ξ, ∇) for which the twisted de Rham complex of compactly supported differential forms on M with values in ξ possesses the nontrivial cohomology group in the top dimension. Finally it is obtained the characterization of transitive Lie algebroids for which the Lie algebroid cohomology with trivial coefficients (or with coefficients in the orientation flat line bundle) gives Poincaré duality. In proofs of these theorems for Lie algebroids it is used the Hochschild-Serre spectral sequence and it is shown the general fact concerning pairings between graded filtered differential ℝ-vector spaces: assuming that the second terms live in the finite rectangular, nondegeneration of the pairing for the second terms (which can be infinite dimensional) implies the same for cohomology spaces.  相似文献

Let (M, ω) be a closed symplectic 2n-dimensional manifold. Donaldson in his paper showed that there exist 2m-dimensional symplectie submanifolds (V^2m,ω) of (M,ω), 1 ≤m ≤ n - 1, with (m - 1)-equivalent inclusions. On the basis of this fact we obtain isomorphic relations between kernel of Lefschetz map of M and kernels of Lefschetz maps of Donaldson submanifolds V^2m, 2 ≤ m ≤ n - 1. Then, using this relation, we show that the flux group of M is discrete if the action of π1 (M) on π2(M) is trivial and there exists a retraction r : M→ V, where V is a 4-dimensional Donaldson submanifold. And, in the symplectically aspherical case, we investigate the flux groups of the manifolds.  相似文献

The σ-ideal (v 0) is associated with the Silver forcing, see [5]. Also, it constitutes the family of all completely doughnut null sets, see [9]. We introduce segment topologies to state some resemblances of (v 0) to the family of Ramsey null sets. To describe add(v 0) we adopt a proof of Base Matrix Lemma. Consistent results are stated, too. Halbeisen’s conjecture cov(v 0) = add(v 0) is confirmed under the hypothesis t = min{cf(c), r}. The hypothesis cov(v 0) = ω 1 implies that (v 0) has the ideal type (c, ω 1, c).   相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the Lie algebra L(A,α,δ) of type L and obtain the respective sufficient conditions for L(A,α,δ δ to be semisimple, and for Z(ω) = Fω as well, where 0 ≠ ω Є L(A, α, δ, δ) and Z(ω) is the centralizer of ω.  相似文献

We make a definition of ω-precategory which should underlie any definition of weak ω-category. We make a precise definition of pseudo-invertible cells in this setting. We show that in an ω-precategory with all weak duals, every cell is pseudo-invertible. We deduce that in any “sensible” theory of ω-categories, an ω-category with all weak duals is an ω-groupoid. We discuss various examples and open questions involving higher-dimensional tangles and cobordisms.   相似文献

We describe for any Riemannian manifold M a certain scheme M L , lying in between the first and second neighbourhood of the diagonal of M. Semi-conformal maps between Riemannian manifolds are then analyzed as those maps that preserve M L ; harmonic maps are analyzed as those that preserve the (Levi-Civita-) mirror image formation inside M L .  相似文献
