In this paper, a Roos like bound on the minimum distance for skew cyclic codes over a general field is provided. The result holds in the Hamming metric and in the rank metric. The proofs involve arithmetic properties of skew polynomials and an analysis of the rank of parity-check matrices. For the rank metric case, a way to arithmetically construct codes with a prescribed minimum rank distance, using the skew Roos bound, is also given. Moreover, some examples of MDS codes and MRD codes over finite fields are built, using the skew Roos bound.  相似文献

In this paper, we give the dimension and the minimum distance of two subclasses of narrow-sense primitive BCH codes over Fq with designed distance δ=aqm11(resp. δ=aqm1q1) for all 1aq1, where q is a prime power and m>1 is a positive integer. As a consequence, we obtain an affirmative answer to two conjectures proposed by C. Ding in 2015. Furthermore, using the previous part, we extend some results of Yue and Hu [16], and we give the dimension and, in some cases, the Bose distance for a large designed distance in the range [aqm1q1,aqm1q1+T] for 0aq2, where T=qm+121 if m is odd, and T=2qm21 if m is even.  相似文献

In this paper, we determine the smallest lengths of linear codes with some minimum distances. We construct a [g q (k, d) + 1, k, d] q code for sq k-1 − sq k-2 − q s  − q 2 + 1 ≤ dsq k-1 − sq k-2 − q s with 3 ≤ sk − 2 and qs + 1. Then we get n q (k, d) = g q (k, d) + 1 for (k − 2)q k-1 − (k − 1)q k-2 − q 2 + 1 ≤ d ≤ (k − 2)q k-1 − (k − 1)q k-2, k ≥ 6, q ≥ 2k − 3; and sq k-1 − sq k-2 − q s  − q + 1 ≤ dsq k-1 − sq k-2 − q s , s ≥ 2, k ≥ 2s + 1 and q ≥ 2s − 1. MDS codes and almost MDS (AMDS) codes are special classes of linear codes, and have important applications in communications, data storage, combinatorial theory, and secrete sharing. The objective of this paper is to present a class of AMDS codes from some BCH codes and determine their parameters. It turns out the proposed AMDS codes are distance-optimal and dimension-optimal locally repairable codes. The parameters of the duals of this class of AMDS codes are also discussed.  相似文献

The problem of computing the number of codewords of weights not exceeding a given integer in linear codes over a finite field is considered. An efficient method for solving this problem is proposed and discussed in detail. It builds and uses a sequence of different generator matrices, as many as possible, so that the identity matrix takes disjoint places in them. The efficiency of the method is achieved by optimizations in three main directions: (1) the number of the generated codewords, (2) the check whether a given codeword is generated more than once, and (3) the operations for generating and computing these codewords. Since the considered problem generalizes the well-known problems “Weight Distribution” and “Minimum Distance”, their efficient solutions are considered as applications of the algorithms from the method.  相似文献

Polycyclic codes are a powerful generalization of cyclic and constacyclic codes. Their algebraic structure is studied here by the theory of invariant subspaces from linear algebra. As an application, a bound on the minimum distance of these codes is derived which outperforms, in some cases, the natural analogue of the BCH bound.  相似文献

We first discuss some properties of the solution set of a monotone symmetric cone linear complementarity problem (SCLCP), and then consider the limiting behaviour of a sequence of strictly feasible solutions within a wide neighbourhood of central trajectory for the monotone SCLCP. Under assumptions of strict complementarity and Slater’s condition, we provide four different characterizations of a Lipschitzian error bound for the monotone SCLCP in general Euclidean Jordan algebras. Thanks to the observation that a pair of primal-dual convex quadratic symmetric cone programming (CQSCP) problems can be exactly formulated as the monotone SCLCP, thus we obtain the same error bound results for CQSCP as a by-product.  相似文献

We construct a sequence of one-point codes from a tower of function fields whose relative minimum distances have a positive limit. Our tower is characterized by principal divisors. We determine completely the minimum distance of the codes from the first field of our tower. These results extend those of Stichtenoth [IEEE Trans Inform Theory (1988), 34(15):1345–1348], Yang and Kumar [Lecture Notes in Mathematics, 1518, (1991), Springer-Verlag, Berlin Hidelberg New York, pp. 99–107], and Garcia [Comm. Algebra, 20(12): 3683–3689]. As an application, we show that the minimum distance corresponds to the Feng–Rao bound.  相似文献

Generalized quasi-twisted (GQT) codes form a generalization of quasi-twisted (QT) codes and generalized quasi-cyclic (GQC) codes. By the Chinese remainder theorem, the GQT codes can be decomposed into a direct sum of some linear codes over Galois extension fields, which leads to the trace representation of the GQT codes. Using this trace representation, we first prove the minimum distance bound for GQT codes with two constituents. Then we generalize the result to GQT codes with s constituents. Finally, we present some examples to show that the bound is better than the well-known Esmaeili-Yari bound and sharp in many instances.  相似文献
